I recently moved to Fremont and have been looking for good food spots out here. Grub with Mike just…read moreposted this spot and it's not too far so I figured why not! Upon entry the restaurant it is kind of tight and intimate but thankfully there is a lot of outdoor seating. The menu had a good variety of items including bobas and teas! I was there for the fish sandwich and fries, which took about 30 min to make which I recommend calling ahead if you are in a rush. It took me about 20 minutes to get eat my meal, despite the wait the food was still crispy and hot and full of flavor! For the price of the sandwich being $10 you cannot beat it. I was thoroughly impressed by the flavor and the size I will definitely be back. I also recommend trying the wasabi honey sauce! They pair very well with the sweet potato fries and bring out the flavor.

The cornmeal breading on the fish was super crispy even though I ate the sandwich 30 minutes after it had been prepared. The filet was thick and flakey, and I thought there was just the right amount of sauce and pickles in the sandwich to add a tang and brininess to the sandwich. The cheeseburger was solid, as good as one I would have gotten from In-N-Out, but just at a higher price point. No notes. The fries were the only item that I thought could've been improved. The fries here were on the thicker side, and ended up being quite soggy when I bit in to them. I'm sure a few minutes in an air fryer would crisp them right back up, but the fries also needed to be seasoned with a bit more salt as well. Overall, solid burger spot in Fremont.

Our Char Cheeseburgers were cooked just right and tasty. Their Single Char Cheeseburgers are the right size for my wife and I. Our son prefers to order a Double Char Cheeseburger, since he's got a good appetite. Their fries are always hot and are just the right amount of crispiness. Feel free to help yourself to ketchup and more soda, if you like. Their service is always quick and the staff are friendly. The restaurant is typically fairly quiet too. Parking behind the restaurant is plentiful. Just know that the parking lot is shared with the other restaurants and businesses.

I did see prices gone up, but that's the least of my concerns. Honestly, I could have come back here a bit more often, but was busy dining in newer places. I love how Habit is being consistent in terms of food and service while they changed the atmosphere. In my opinion, it's better than how it usually was, which seems to be more old fashioned. It's like we're getting closer to the shore or something. They also replaced the soda fountain machine, which is better than the one they usually have. Just like many restaurants, maybe we're just evolving and adapting to new technologies.

Juicy, freshly fried wings -- but four pieces would be the sweet spot…read more I spent way too long deciding between the chicken sandwich and the wings, and eventually ordered the six-piece crispy wings with an extra tangy garlic sauce. The wings were larger than I expected. They had a craggy, heavily textured coating that was very crispy when fresh. The breading was on the thicker side, but the chicken underneath was genuinely juicy. When I pulled one apart, the juices actually ran onto the toast underneath. They were also extremely hot right out of the fryer, so give them a couple of minutes before biting in. The wings themselves were not spicy. They had a fairly straightforward savory seasoning and were flavorful enough to eat without sauce, which is important because this was not a case of sauce rescuing dry or bland chicken. The yellow tangy garlic sauce, however, was much hotter than I expected. At first I thought the heat was coming from the wings, but it was definitely the sauce. It had a strong combination of acidity, garlic, and spice, and a little went a long way. The white sauce was milder and easier to use throughout the meal. The wings came with one slice of toast cut in half. It seemed like an odd pairing at first, but it made sense once the chicken juices started dripping onto it. The toast absorbed the juices and also helped balance the richness and heat. The six-piece order was $13.99. That is not especially cheap, but the wings were large, freshly fried, and very juicy, so the portion felt fair. My only issue is that fried chicken this rich becomes repetitive after a while. The first two pieces were excellent, the third and fourth were satisfying, and by the fifth I was starting to feel the grease and heavy coating. Overall, Chicken G's does the fundamentals well: crispy exterior, juicy chicken, and wings that taste good even without sauce. I would come back, but four wings would probably be the ideal portion for me next time.

During the rush hour it is just more of a wait sometimes. I belive they are a little understaffed sometimes. Only 2 people working that I have seen. Their friend chicken is just soooo good. Just order ahead of time before you come because if you order at the restaurant you will have to wait because they cook it fresh. I love their fried chicken and will for sure be coming back for more! So happy I found this place. It is really hard to not love a good fried chicken!
