The Fremont Location #345 is the best and has been the best location for at least the last 12 years. The employees and managers there are always nice, in good spirits and are visibly concerned with delivering fast, accurate service and the food is always fresh. Everything has been solid and consistent for us all of this time. We would miss it if it ever changed or closed. We go regularly to support it. *4th of July Tribute Review* Giving them this fiver of a review (much over due!) out of nostalgic respects and to offset other's fast food expectations. So I grew up with this brand and probably ate this more than any other fast food chain except for Mc D's. In and Out wasn't around when I was a kid. I think the food was better back in the day, but it could just be me having more advanced taste these days. Lol There's 2 locations in this town, but I like this location much better. First this one has a drive thru, so when convenience is calling, this one answers. This one has a tad more seating and when I do sit down for a nostalgic chill sesh, there is always cool music on, usually nonmainstream rock with an indie edge, which I don't know why or who chooses that. BUT I friggin' love it. I'll often have a light meal or snack here and just sit for a half hour catching up on messages or browsing my feeds. It's a cool unwind. Then the parking here is a bit more open and there are huge mature trees in this corner, which means I can park in the shade in comfort. And the trees just add a nice natural and peaceful vibe that I inherently dig, much better than just being plopped down in a concrete jungle. I really only get 1 of 3 things here, but I will occasionally try a seasonal special on occasion. I only come here like once every 4-6 months, but when those dates are due, my pull here is quite strong. Things that pull me: All Beef Kraut Dog (4.5*) So when I was a kid, i always just got their regular dogs, as in probably mixed meat cheapie dog. Those are smaller too and don't even think an upped all beef version was even an option back in those days. So now I always go all beef, even tho it isn't as meaty as those all beef kosher dogs, or the ones from Casper's which I really like. These are still a bit soft for me but at least it is a lot better than their regular dog. Their kraut is super basic and I'm sure that this is the place that got me to know that dogs and sauerkraut is a perfect combo. There's naturally yellow mustard on this for zing, and I have to ask for chopped onions for that extra pop. All Beef Chili Cheese Dog (4.5*) I don't get this as much as the Kraut Dog, but this has a strong nostalgic pull for me as well. Also gotta have this with chopped onions. Their chili is all meat, so no beans, and even though I've never had their chili as is, I think it is the best chili to put on top of hot dogs. The way it is spiced, the right thickness that can hold on to some cheese, the uniform grind on the meat all just makes this cravable eats for me. And just like as a kid, I ALWAYS have to put a few french fries inside the hot dog itself, so the fries become chili cheese fries. And speaking of fries, theirs is almost the same as Mc Donalds that everyone seems to be coo coo for. Theirs is just as skinny which I love. And just like Mc Ds, sometimes they are better at other times, crisp hot and salty, when lucky, and kinda lukewarm and not as salted when the planets are not aligning. But always still a must order for me. Also tried the Bratwurst (4.5*) which comes out during October for Octoberfest and that is actually a more elevated sausage. True brat with I think a better bun even. Their Polish Dog Sandwich (4*) is good in that it is served on sliced rye bread which is much nicer than your typical hot dog bun. It also has pickles and onions which is money. I actually need to start ordering this one more. It is more adult oriented for sure. Fish n Chips (3*) This comes out during lent season. Not great but not bad. The good is it is nice and crisp. The bad is I can't really discern the fish in the middle. Totally a frozen pre-made product, but for a fast food fish n chip it totally isn't bad. And every combo with fries and small drink (I don't need monster super sized portions!) are always under $10 bucks for me. I can't do that at most places these days. And the dude that runs this place is awesome. Super friendly and efficient. And for a true neighborhood joint, I just can't ask for more. A proud fiver. read more

When you are too tired to cook and too poor to spend money on food this is the place to go to lol I just really like their chili dogs. The hotdog is snappy, the chili has good flavor without being too salty. Staff is also very kind in this location. They also send coupons in the mail! And, they offer military discount! This is the Wienerschnitzel at Fremont Blvd & Darwin, next to Ranch 99 in Fremont, CA. I was there last night just before the drive-thru closed at 11pm. The Yelp listing said it closes at 12-midnight, so I thought I had plenty of time. But when I drove up to the menu board, the automatic recording said "Sorry we're closed." Well, I drove thru to get out and the cashier flagged me down and took my order. I ordered some basic menu items: - Kraut Dog - Double Cheeseburger - reg Fries Total $9.75 How was the food? ...."Well, two outta three ain't bad." Fries- were hot, fresh, and crispy. Just like you want them. Grade (4/5) Double Cheeseburger- uses 10:1 meat patties, so it was easy to cook quick. The burger was fresh and hot, with a good all beef flavor. Fine diced onions, standard condiments, on a toasted bun. Very good burger. Grade (4/5) Kraut Dog - absolutely terrible. I threw it away after 2 bites. I almost choked on it. It was like eating a doughnut. Nothing like a hotdog. No meat flavor, I wonder if they gave me a veggie dog? I guess if you don't pay extra for a All Beef Dog or Polish Dog, you get a fake hotdog. Grade (0/5) for nasty. Service time was quick in drive-thru at 1045pm. All those menu items are easy to cook fast. I was in and out in about 3-4 minutes. Next time, I'm just getting a Double Cheeseburger and Fries. read more

Delicious. Yummy. Fast. Spoil yourself a grab a dog! Drive thru is fast and service is friendly. So many kinds of hot dogs available. The possibilities are truly endless. And I loved the drink I got, can't remember now but it definitely added to the meal. Probably because it was sweet, knowing me lol. I am currently 8 months pregnant and been on a chocolate shake hunt. I've been to baskin robbin, cold stone, places like that. I must say this Wienerschnitzel had a pretty good chocolate shake! And for those with sensitive stomachs ,if you know what I mean, I didn't feel the need to run to the bathroom after my shake! Which I was really pleased with. Not even in the night! No stomach problems.... Next I tried the chocolate covered strawberry shake which I describe below : I also normally just get corn dogs since I'm not too big into chili things, but they're pretty good here for those things as well! I've came to this location for the past couple days and the workers so far have always been friendly and nice! Recently I've got the chocolate covered strawberry shake and oh man .... I was so in love! It literally tastes like a chocolate covered strawberry!! The shake is pink for strawberry and then there are chocolate chip chunks in it... soooo good , I would drink it everyday but I don't want to deliver a 20 pound baby lol! Listen. We've been to Wienerschnitzels all throughout the Bay Area for decades. This is the best one. Freshest corn dogs--crispy yet soft. But even more than that, surprisingly, is the consistently good customer service at this location. This one is in a relatively nice shopping center in the classic sense. Parking lot has good trees to park under while consuming delicious treats, which I myself turn to after particularly challenging days. Our order: 2 corn dogs, one all beef kraut dog, and one regular chili cheese fries. The freezees are good if you like mcflurrys. Addendum: Thank you to the pregnant lady who wrote a review below. After dinner, went back through the drive through for that chocolate cherry shake. WOW, that did not disappoint! That should be a permanent menu item. read more

Food is always hot and fresh. The service is always impeccable. And the restaurant and the bathroom are always very clean.

I've been going and eating here for the longest time and it's time to give a proper review: The hot dogs here are great value and delicious as well although I might that No other hotdog could Ever to Cisco's hot dogs for it's value. The service here is good but it could be better, but what do people expect from a convenience restaurant!? The ambience here is okay and it gives fast food vibe that everything here is fast paced:you go here you order you eat then you leave....simple as that. No frills and just order get your food eat and you're off to the races after and a nonsense restaurant at that. Fully recommended instead of going to McDonald's and get ripped off....food here is better IMHO!!! read more

They don't have any vegetarian friendly choices, go figure a hotdog place... Lol... Of course on the way home I snagged a few of his fries! I do want to compliment the young man working the window. Our teenage son requested this for our weekly Saturday night out dinners so his wish is my command. We have not had Wienerschnitzel on about ten years and, of course, my son doesn't remember this as he claims he's never eaten here before. The location we went to is right by the 99 Ranch Market. There's plenty of parking spaces as it's a huge shopping center and this is located right in the corner. We walked in on a Saturday night. Surprisingly, there were a lot of cars getting food through their drive through. We went in as we had no idea what to get but the huge post for 5 for $6.95 Chili Dogs and/or corn dogs captured our eyes. So we ordered 5 chili dogs and 5 corn dogs. The older, tall lady taking our order was very nice and sweet. We were the only ones inside but she was busy attending to both the drive thru and the dining room. The place is very clean. The wait for the food was around ten minutes and it came piping hot. We ordered our food "to go". She offered ketchup and mustard packets which are located behind the counter. They have napkins right by the register. Both the corn dog and the chili dog are average size and both my husband and my so. had two of each while I had one of each. They are both very good especially the chili part. We enjoyed our dinner but didn't fill us up that much. read more

One of the slowest moving fast food chains in the Fremont area. I was literally number two in line and I was literally waiting for over 20 min to have my order taken. To top it off, the girl on register had no idea what the current daily special was... the sad part... it was hanging on the wall right behind her. OMG! It's that time Of the year again when pastrami is back and I decided to get a pastrami dog. The dog was made with mustard, pastrami, pickles, and onions on a hot dog bun with their traditional hot dog. After al that, the taste fell short of my expectation being far too salty and greasy. This Wienierschnitzel is an Old School one . Its well established. I rolled in and was greeted. I ordered 3 Chili Dawgs and 2 Corn Dawgs. My order was promptly taken and I was given a number. My Order was freshly prepared and ready in 7 minutes. Great basic Dawgs and it Fulfilled my Hunger and Cravings The Funny thing is the whole time I was there a Guy had his Cellphone plugged in and was watching a movie . Guess he needed Shelter . Especially in the Tri-City Area "Fremont, Newark, and Union City". If you want simple this place is for you no frills. The chili cheeseburger is perfect the ratio of the chili sauce and cheese with the beefy patty is perfect on the steamed bun. If you want a corn dog that's fresh, crispy on the outside, and not soggy. Then this place is perfect for you. The French Fries order the large because they serve them in a large soda cup lol. Believe me I was like what!!! I was rolling when I saw that. Located in a Asian strip mall. I know the location of the place is weird because of it. But there's plenty of free parking on the lot. If you want a boba tea with you're chili cheese dog or burger. It's right across the parking lot to suit you're fancy. My bf was craving this for some strange reason so we went after grocery shopping at 99 ranch. I just got a corndog 'cause I didn't feel like eating hotdogs and it was just okay. Nothing too great about it. I think I've tasted better corndogs at fairs or festivals around the Bay Area. My bf got 3 different hot dogs and he said they tasted okay. There wasn't anything special about it either. Place is a little dirty but there was someone mopping the floor when we were there. I was kinda grossed out after reading the reviews after eating here. Got food poisoning from this place! Corn dogs were fried then left sitting out for who knows how long but they were re-fried again, they were burnt & soggy! These employees don't care, they should have thrown them out right away instead of keeping them sitting in the fry basket for incoming orders. This is terrible, stomach has been hurting all day all because these employees are too LAZY and can't put any effort into making corn dogs correctly. They were giving out FREE original chili dog or kid's cone on Tues. July 15, 2008 from 5-8pm to celebrate National Hot Dog Month at Wienerschnitzel. So I go there and tell the girl I want my FREE chili dog. She grabs a pre-made one for me and that was it. I then said can I get some water. She said that'll be .11c, so I passed. Then I asked for a napkin (since they keep a stack by their work area, none out for the customer). Just one. She said "no". So I had to eat my chili dog with no water & no napkin. Man!! This location is the worst and I mean that. I walked in there was no cashier at the counter, I saw a person working the drive thru and a person or two cooking in the back. They all looked and made eye contact but never greeted me, never said I'll be right with you or anything. So I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because there were a few cars in the drive thru but still after standing there for 10 minutes no greeting or anything. A few people walked in and were in line behind me and they weren't acknowledged either. I got fed up and decided to just leave, how do you expect to run a business the correct way if you aren't acknowledging the customer and providing good customer service. I left to the other location and I will not be coming back to this location. Bad customer is a great way to lose my business and I will spend my money elsewhere. read more
