Remembering back when there weren't THAT many Korean fried chicken options in California,…read moreespecially in NorCal, I guess there's still not that many options in NorCal, seeing that this Bonchon has survived COVID and the ones in SoCal, at least the ones near me got decimated by independent shops and bbq chickens. It is a bit fancier of a vibe and sit down restaurant, but it is a bit pricier than the other restaurants too. There's nothing inherently wrong with this place. Solid Korean fried chicken. Double fried to get that juicy moist meat and the crispy exterior. I'm not really a bone in person, nor was my ex at the time, so we opted for boneless. We'd get the soy garlic and the classic crunch, standard flavors and again, not too fancy and something you can get elsewhere, same with the coleslaw and pickled radish sides. Estimated, it's around $1-ish a piece and they've long taken it off then menu but we did get the avocado salmon bomb, which was kind of a saucy mushy mess when we did order it. It's not bad, but there's just so many other better options with many more flavors and sides, etc. at better price points nowadays.

I'll admit it was good, I didn't see or notice any issues with anything I ordered. My only possible critique lies with the chicken portions and sides being....sort of small? Like I'm unsure if it was just me, were the sizes smaller than expected? Likewise the menu itself is wide and diverse as I intend to come here again another time to taste the other items

It seemed that they were having people pay by credit card today so it was either cash or ordering online. Opted to order online just to dine in. Got the half order fried chicken and a honey butter chicken for the first time (take home) I love Korean fried chicken and Vons chicken was what I expected. The honey butter chicken was good and tasted like candy. Might be a bit too sweet for me but worth trying it. Service for dine in was great. They gave me a carafe with water and a stainless steel cup. Overall, worth the visit for a family owned restaurant

Honestly, I never step foot into their restaurant but had mines since my parents ordered a take out and come back home to eat their chicken. It's my first time stepping in as of today. The interior looks alright. It's just mediocre but at least they have pictures hanging on the wall. It's not really a best place to really dine in unless you're into quiet places. I ordered lunch combo with Soy & Garlic boneless chickens with rice. I had no idea what that fruit was but it was colored light purple. They put the rice and chicken into one small container and the rice was sticky. The good news is that the chicken tastes really good. They really did put much effort into adding flavors to the chicken. I also like the fruit too. It came with a very small container and went with that first since I wanted to finish vegetables and fruits first. The food is good but I don't think it's worth dining in especially if you're into atmospheres. Yeah, I'll try and order like a shareable versions of those chickens if I come back.

The chicken was dry, the burger had no sauce, the loaded fries were the least loaded fries I've ever had and it costed 40$. Serious Food Safety Concern…read more I'm extremely concerned after finding a piece of metal inside my toddler's chicken wing from this restaurant. Thankfully, I noticed it before he bit into it or swallowed it, because something like this could have caused a serious injury, choking, or even worse. We get food from here all the time, so this is not me trying to ruin the business or leave a negative review out of spite. I genuinely want the restaurant to be more aware and careful with its food handling and preparation because this could have ended very differently if I hadn't noticed the metal. I would have preferred to contact the restaurant privately first, but unfortunately, I could not find any way online to reach out to them directly regarding a food safety concern. Because of that, I felt I had no choice but to post this on Yelp. I hope the restaurant takes this seriously and reviews its food preparation and handling procedures to make sure something like this does not happen to another family. When we order food for our children, we trust that it is safe to eat, and finding a piece of metal in their food is extremely alarming.

Even though I love chicken wings (usually while watching a game/drinking beers), I never really loved Wingstop's versions. I think they are okay but I find many of their flavors to be way too salty and processed-tasting. Upon discovering this nice and clean location, I also discovered these chicken tender deals they got going on. For $10 you can get a 3 chicken tender meal with a side and drink, which is spectacular for these days and times. So hard to find a meal for $10 or less these days, when just 8 years ago on down, it was super easy, that we took it for granted. Don't think we'll ever go back in time price wise. Garlic Parmesan Tender Meal ($10/3.5*) The tenders are big and juicy. So big that I think that the 3 tenders are close to a half pound of protein. I'll do a light 1 tender meal with some fries, then I'll chop up the other tenders to put on a salad or rice bowl. Great work lunches and I can spread out the salt intake. The garlic parm is mixed with a butter/oil so as it coats the chicken, it isn't a super thick sauce. It coats but you can still see and taste the crunch from the fried tenders. Too rich and too strong eating it as is, but if eaten with salad or a proper starch, then this can work for me. Cajun Tender Meal ($10/4*) I liked this better than the Garlic Parm but you will lose more of the crisp factor, as this sauce seems more wet and soaks into the crisp exterior. This is very tangy which I like and seems kinda like a blend of traditional hot sauce versions but with a cajun spice kick, which works for me. Their fries are decent but I'm sure it comes from a frozen product. The good is they fry it to order so it is always piping hot, where there is a slight crisp with still a potato-y center, instead of being hollow. They season it aggressively with a seasoned salt, which I don't love but will eat a few. I try and give the fries to others who like fries more than me. Not sure if sides are interchangeable here as they also have some fried corn side, which sounds interesting, but haven't tried yet. Wingstop you got me with your awesome deal...and I ain't mad at that one bit. Throw me a promo every now and then, and I'll respond with a timely visit.
