The restaurant itself is very clean and spacious. The tables were spaced (for me) a good distance so I didn't have to listen to other diners' conversations. You order and pay at the counter and they bring your food to you. The cashiers (there were two to handle the lunch crowd) were courteous and friendly. The menu is what you'd expect from a typical sandwich shop: regular sandwiches, soups of the day, salads, specialty sandwiches and daily specials. I got the Reuben and my date got the French dip. The sandwiches are reasonably priced. The ingredients are fresh and there is an appropriate amount in the sandwich (not too skimpy and not bulging out the sides). I was going to be nutritionally responsible and only eat half of the sandwich, but I ate it all. It was that good! We got our food probably 10-15 minutes after we ordered which I felt was a reasonable amount of time. Given the stellar reviews, I really wanted to like this Cafe. The staff is incredibly kind and friendly, very good vibes. The ambience is welcoming and also inviting. There's parking outside so it's not a stressful environment. However, the quality of the food and the taste isn't so good, it's very bland. The food is pricy and lacks flavors. It pains to give a bad review but I didn't enjoy the food, it's mediocre. I have had better sandwiches and salads elsewhere for less the price and also the same price. I came right at the lunch rush and I waited in line less than 2 min with 3 people ahead of me. I ordered their salmon day special. It was a pasta with salmon and cauliflower. I liked it but nothing too memorable. The side options were a soup or salad. I went with the soup and it took the show! I never thought a chicken tortilla soup needed cheese but I've been missing out all my life. It added a saltiness and gooeyness that I've never had before. Once ordered I waited maybe 5 mins. They are very spacious inside and they have outdoor seating too, with plenty of parking. They have a wide range of fresh items, such as cold & hot sandwiches, burgers, fries, soups & salads & even pasta. Their menu does change, but their cold sandwiches are pretty consistent. Because all of their items are freshly made, it can take a while for your food to be prepared, so you should only come here if you have a longer lunch break. Also if you come here during the peak lunch hour, they can be very crowded. If you want to pay with your credit card, the minimum purchase is $10. The Chinese chicken salad used to be until they changed the dressing, then went back to the original dressing, but no longer provide a couple pieces of sourdough like they used to. Started coming here when my job switched to remote work and I could start going to places around Fremont whose hours are limited to the breakfast and lunch crowd. While Vince's might seem like a run-of-the-mill sandwich shop, their daily specials set the place apart from other options. These specials aren't just posted and left up for weeks at a time -- they're updated everyday. And they get updated on the website everyday as well, so it's well worth checking out. The caveat here is that will often run out of the daily specials, so arrive early if there's something that catches your eye on their website. For the specials, Vince's comes up with some nicely creative sandwiches as well as entree dishes. Their pork sandwiches are especially good, and the entree portions are generous. The sandwich specials come with fries as well as a choice of soup or salad. Unlike some other delis that cater to the lunch crowd or chain stores, it seems that the food at Vince's is made on-site rather than shipped and reheated. Even by inflationary standards, the food at Vince's ain't cheap. But, the portions are large enough for nearly two full meals, so it's not a bad value. read more

Very nice people with a variety of choices for all types of food consumers. I ordered a Chinese Chicken Salad and it was shredded lettuce with slivered pieces of dry fried chicken and a sesame sauce for $12. It was a bit boring to me, as a suggestion to perhaps the owner reading this, maybe you could add mandarin oranges, red bell pepper, water chestnuts, roasted chicken slices versus repurposed chicken katsu, sesame seeds and a few fresh herbs like a little cilantro. Now that would really amp up this salad :-). Vince's cafe is a breakfast/lunch cafe tucked in the middle of business park in southwest Fremont. The owner, whose name is actually Joseph is a long time restauranteur in the Fremont area and does quite the lunch crowd in addition to specialties and Asian inspired dishes. This review is for a recent catering event that Vince's Cafe hosted at their facility for a wedding reception. At our special weekend event not only was there plenty of parking, but because most of the businesses were closed it was quiet and sort of private. Vince's provided unlimited coffees, sodas, and teas along with a no-host bar. The appetizers were an eclectic collection of perfectly crispy pot stickers, and trendier marinated kebabs, all with a variety of dipping sauces. I ate thinking that was the main meal, because it was good enough and in sufficient quantity to be the dinner. Then came dinner. An array or rices, noodles, and vegetarian options. The honey walnut prawns were popular, light and crispy and covered and just enough sweet walnuts and sauce. The highlight was the crispy chicken salad with their signature dry mustard dressing that had an nice warmth and kick. The liquid dressing is served in the side so as not to soak the lettuce or chicken. In the center of it all was anicely arranged fruit platter in the shape of a heart, perfect for our celebrating guests. 5 stars for far exceeding expectations, and making the day easy and enjoyable for us. read more

The sandwiches are delicious and taste fresh (nothing feels like its been sitting for a long time) but what sets them apart are the daily specials. It keeps the place unique so you don't feel bad about visiting multiple times of the week. I highly recommend checking the website everyday to see what is available and to head there before noon - otherwise the specials will be sold out since they have quite the crowd. I've been coming to this place for a little over a year now and will likely bring my future grandkids here.. the food is seriously just that good! A simple yet exciting menu has me wanting to try something new with every visit! My go to is the chicken breast sandwich; comes with fries and a soup/salad all for under $20. I add bacon and avocado to mine and it never disappoints (would take a picture but a little too late - maybe next time). The staff is super friendly and provides exceptional service every single time. I don't know anyone's name there but I swear we're all really close friends as soon as I walk in lol. "I can make this better at home." That pretty much sums up our lunch at Vince's Cafe. While I understand a simple cafe might not have the best quality ingredients or flavor profile, I expected so much more than what we got. The location is not necessarily a restaurant, but rented "building" space, surrounded by offices and industrial companies. Of course, the clientele are men and women with office badges and the simplicity of the menu helps improve efficiency when every customer is eating on the clock. I will say, however, that I don't appreciate "hollering" my order over an eye-level wall to a person I can barely make eye contact with. For our lunch, the hubby and I both went for the half sandwich and cup of soup combination. He got the chili and crab salad sandwich and I chose the chicken noodle soup and California turkey specialty. In less than two minutes, before we even sat down at our table, our food was brought over and from appearances, it looked decent. However, I took one bite of the California turkey sandwich and instantly washed it down with water. The un-toasted bread was not only horrendously thick, but also tasted as dry as the desert. The thin coating of boring ol' mayonnaise didn't help and the turkey was ice cold. Everything about this sandwich spelled mediocre. As for the salty soup, seeing the perfectly cubed pieces of chicken and vegetables made me suspect its freshness. If you told me the soup came straight from a can, I would wholeheartedly believe you. I suppose the hubby chose the better combo because he didn't criticize his meal as much. The crab salad didn't suffer from the "dryness" like my sandwich and the chili was more flavorful than my soup, although he did leave half of the bowl unfinished. Overall, I was extremely unimpressed with Vince's Cafe. The hubby and I are fans of simple meals, but the lack of effort in preparing them and the bland flavors were beyond disappointing. read more

Ordered a tri tip sandwhich with special sauce and clam chowder. Tri tip had that charred flavor and was really tender and juicy. I've been coming here for years and this place is an absolute gem. The business parks surrounding Vince's Cafe are enormously spoiled to have this as a lunch option. The food is excellent, and the new and rotating "specials of the day" are what keeps me coming back. The pork belly sandwich with roasted corn salsa last week is what prompted me to finally write a review. Easily one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life. My God. The thing is, given the prime location near all the business parks, and that it is the only walkable place to eat, they could easily survive by just selling mediocre lunch. But the don't. I got the two egg breakfast, got them poached, ham or bacon, potatoes and toast (I chose an English muffin). I loved the sliced red potatoes. What a refreshing experience. I've never had such fancy, potatoes for breakfast. Cooked perfectly and they went so nicely with the ham! The eggs were pretty cool. They spun it around and around in boiling water--never seen them so white and with a light film of egg white. Your basic office sandwich place. They do a pretty good job of getting the food out fast and sometimes have good soup. So considering that this is a basic sandwich place, it's not bad. But if you're looking for amazing gourmet sandwiches, I'd suggest you keep looking. One plus is that they have dutch crunch bread, which I love.
