50's style diner. Enjoy your meal with music from the 50's playing at a low volume in the background. Had linguica, eggs and country potatoes.Restaurant is in a small shopping center with plenty of parking. Food was delicious and service very good.
I enjoy the outdoor seating when bicycling around. Service is friendly. Potions are a good size. Come hungry!
I don't know how pre-scrambled egg product, canned gravy (possibly a mix) and spongy food service biscuits resemble a 50s diner but here we are. I'll just talk about what was good. The bacon was great - irregularly shaped bacon slices perfectly rendered with chewy and crispy parts. The single pancake I ordered for my girlfriend was excellent. I loved the malty background flavor. Atmosphere was "worn". Service was excellent. I won't be back but if you dine here, maybe get a short stack with bacon?
My boyfriend and I like coming here when we're running errands in the Fremont area. The service here is really good! They are very friendly and your food comes out quicker than other diners for sure! The quality of the food is also great however the last time I came here I tried their French toast & I felt like it was missing more cinnamon & egg. We also decided to dine outdoors as the weather was nice and since they had tables outside with umbrellas which was convenient but we noticed that the table was very dusty. (Not sure if they probably forgot to clean it that day since not everyone dines outside.)
Great place to get breakfast. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, coffee very good. Service excellent. And not too crowded. You get your food fast. I give this place a 5 stars.
Hello, 50's diner is a hit if you love Americana and Mexican cuisine. They have a menu that has classic dishes like pigs in a blanket, or chorizo and eggs just to name a few. They have lunch items that are a favorite and are full of fresh ingredients. They have a well rounded menu, that will delight your appetite, and the service that is on par too. If you love the 50's classic music and retro flare you will dig this diner. We enjoyed pigs in a blanket which was a huge dish that you could share. Hamburger and fries, our milkshake was creamy and sweet. Give them a try for some diner fair in Fremont.
Pretty good parking. Definite diners vibe, diner tables and seats, photos of actors and cars and locals. It gets pretty packed but the flow is pretty good so you're not waiting long. Once you come, you seat yourselves. We only found tables that were just vacated but someone came over quickly to clean it up for us. They are always coming around to fit your coffee mug. There wasn't really a kids menu that we saw in case you're coming with kids. You could always do a bunch of sides though. They've got a senior citizens menu. Food was great. Big portions. The cornbeef hash is made in the style I like. It was delicious! Pancakes were nice and fluffy. The aisles are pretty tight so not necessarily that accessible, but they do have tables outside that are accessible. You go up to the counter to pay. Love this local staple.
This spot has a super friendly staff, and attentive. The food was great. They had a green salsa WOW. That is a must have on your plate. A solid 4.7 in my books. I need to tr a few more things on the menu. Updates incoming.

I've been here a few times already, but heard that this restaurant has been here for a long while now. The vibes inside the place gives me the 80s look since they used furniture that are more classical. It is a small restaurant, but also serve good food. The service is top notch since the staff are able to serve me food quicker more than I expected. The pancakes taste good especially the sausage. Also like the other food too. I don't think I had lunch there before, but next time I come back, I'll have lunch there.
Second time going there I went for breakfast over all it was good everything had good flavor I love the old classic car theme in there we need more restaurants like this I'll be back again. Great place and not too pricey.

Coffee ... awesome, as usual Texas Chili and Cheese Omelette ... very tasty ... onions on top added that extra crunch/kick Veggie and Cheese Omelette ... nicely done ... good variety of vegetables Service was on point ... understood our requests and had them carried out to perfection ... thank you Place was just like a diner ... not crazy noisy, but not ultra quiet either ... music in the background could be heard ... nice read more

Such a cute, classic american diner and great for brunch! I just loved the 50's vibe from the decor to the booth seating. They have lots of variety on their menu and had some specials. The waiter was friendly and kept checking on our coffee/water for refills. We got the cornbeef hash and breakfast burrito. Both were so yummy! The portions were huge and we both had so many leftovers to take home. read more

Very fun to sit in the sparkly pearlescent pink booths, listen to oldies, and admire the decor. I love diners and always want to check them out especially for breakfast and burgers. My French toast (two halves) was the standard Sysco or Krusteaz, but nicely griddled on the flat top, and eggs and bacon were done right. I also ordered a single pancake because I like crispy pancake edges and generally leave the pancake middle (admittedly, this is not normal behavior). This time I basically left the whole pancake. Will have to come back and try the lunch items. Service was wonderful, and not just to me (I was very impressed with the server's patience as this elderly woman tried to brag that she was "fluent" in Spanish and wanted to order and converse in a language for which she did not have the words for things like "decaf," "another plate," or "check." Her Spanglish had me rolling my eyes internally but the server was kind, supplied all the missing words, and played along.). read more

My thoughts: This is a traditional classic American restaurant that is been around the Fremont area through out the up and down of the economy. And any restaurant can survive the harsh business world is A OK in my book. Plus they do serve good American comfort food and maintain a reasonable price. Here is my scoring card for this restaurant: 1) Location: ( 5 Point ) - Great location for customer to see and find. Great parking for street parking and back side with parking lot parking. 2) Decoration : (2 Point) - They still have the original decoration. Clean but not up to date. 3) Price: ( 4 point)- The price is competitive but still a little bit pricey due to inflation. 4) Quality and Taste : ( 3 point)- The quality is ok, food taste is good and portions are below average . 5) Type of cuisine standard : ( 4 point) - The style of American food they serve is pretty close to the way it was prepare in USA. You know a diner has done it's job when you immediately take a nap after you finish your meal! I've lived in Fremont my entire life & pass by this place almost every single day but only recently decided to visit on a Sunday. Although the restaurant had lots of people inside + out, we managed to get seated immediately! While the menu might not the most unique or have anything that differentiates it from newer brunch spots, sometimes a classic omelette, hash browns and toast with butter on the side hits so hard in the morning. The service here is great! Although it was busy, our waitress still checked up on us very often & asked us if we needed anything. For everything you get here, it's definitely worth the price. read more

We were looking for a diner-type restaurant for late lunch and we found this restaurant on Yelp. One thing I always do before deciding on where to eat is to look at the menu on Yelp! I saw that they had chicken and waffles so I was pretty excited to try them out for the first time! When we parked, the first thing I notice is the Elvis statue outside on the patio! That definitely gave it a diner feel! Once we walked in, a waitress was very nice and welcoming and let us know that we could sit wherever we liked. We sat in a booth and the server brought us menus and some iced water. I was a little underwhelmed with the decoration of the interior. I've been to a few diners before and this diner had a very basic interior. But the servers were very friendly and very nice. Even though the place started to get busy, they never forgot to check up on us. We ordered the Chicken and Waffles and also the Pigs in a Blanket (which were sausages rolled in pancakes). For the chicken and waffles, the waffle was just okay. The flavor was a little bland. The chicken was pretty good, the meat easily fell off the bone. I think one thing I didn't really like was that it was covered in a lot of breading. It was nice to try a different type of diner, but I don't think we'll be returning. read more
2/12/23 Breakfast After passing the Classic Diner for years, we finally stopped here for breakfast today. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. It reminded me of when I use to work at KFRC. We ordered the French Toast Combo and the Chicken Fried Steak. The portions were small for the price, but tasted good. I'd probably come back to try their other offerings. read more
Classic Diner has been here for many decades. it's decor memorializes the rock & rolls days of Elvis et al. same music is played in the background. dining seating is an inverted U area surrounding the kitchen in the middle. offerings: breakfast specials, senior breakfast, benedicts, apps, grilled favs, apps. shakes, desserts, omelettes, meat lovers, south of the border, sides. eats: smoked salmon benedict with hash browns (18.99) -lots of average tasting hash browns cooked decently with an edge of burnt hash browns which i didn't eat. forgot to take pic.... -smoked salmon tasted, overly salty. -hollandise sauce was plenty and thick, didn't have any pizzaz. drink: root beer float (6.99) -only house barq root beer available, a Coca-Cola product. -vanilla ice cream tasted generic, nothing outstanding. -passed on pricey "farmers" coffee (3.75), an average tasting coffee usually sold at donut shops and budget cafes. 3.5 stars quantity was present, quality was not. leftovers: -though there were few patrons, there was a rush ambience whereby i felt pressured to order a drink. water was never offered. i didn't ask.. -nostalgic ambience allusive since i couldn't connect with food. actually got hiccups from unconsciously eating too much food at once. *doubtful repeat. benedict was the wrong item to order. omelettes or a southern variant would have been better. drinks aren't worthy... -lots of parking in big lot @Crossroads read more

I've been coming here for years and I'm really surprised to see I haven't reviewed it. Well we went there on Sunday and now I shall review! Friendly fast service, nice clean restaurant, and good food at an unbeatable price. The wife got strawberry Nutella waffle the kiddo got pancakes and eggs and I got the jukebox eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes. I swear it took like 7 minutes to get our food. I've also been here for lunch before burgers, fries and shakes. As always I try to spend my money at small family owned places. read more

Friday afternoonish & NO wait, people inside but, not busy at all, waitress is fast & friendly WINNING! They share w/the neighbor but it's the same vibe & cuuute, huge Elvis statue outside for them fans Lots to chose from on the menu & what we got was all very tasteful. DK what happened to my waffle pic BUT I don't really eat them & there's was yummy, fluffy, buttery goodness, so my grandson was loving it & apparently so was I (LOL) Will definitely be back again whenever I'm near the hood. read more

Loved visiting this diner I've passed by so many times and had never stopped by to eat. I have been missing out. The staff is so friendly and provide such fast service here. The food was great to. I loved the fact that they were so accommodating to me I providing the extra salsas and even roared Serrano peppers for my meal. It's rare to find breakfast restaurants that can get the spice I like. The owner Rose is so welcoming and nice. Everyone there really made me want to keep coming back. Great place in Fremont to eat!!!! read more

Pink pearlescent vinyl booths, oldies on the radio, a wraparound counter with an older man reading a newspaper, photos of muscle cars, Marilyn, Elvis, and James Dean cover the walls. This place is fantastic for the vibes of a 1950s diner. Sadly, the food is just adequate. While filling, the pancakes I ordered only came with a small cup of syrup (think the size that comes with cough medicine) and the chorizo eggs my husband ordered were good but came with a huge side of slightly soggy hash browns. The bacon was chewy and delicious however. Also our waitress was accommodating, I asked for blueberry syrup she said she didn't have any but she brought me some warmed up blueberries that when smashed were syrup like. I would say come for the atmosphere, but don't expect 5 star dining. read more
