My favorite matcha spot in the city so far! Their strawberry matcha is my favorite. I ordered their karage sando and you can tell their cook it fresh right away. Karage had the perfect crunch and their bread is so fluffy. Will try their onigiris next!
Came here at 4pm on a Monday, only 4 other people were here. I love the different shades of green for the interior decor. There is plenty of seating - long booth with 6 white tables and two mini sections with stools. There is a small section for napkins, utensils, and water with water cups. They are known for their matches and sandos, they also sell onigiris. The service was friendly and quick. The Peach Sando was decent. The cream was not too sweet and the bread was fluffy. I wish the peaches were cut a bit smaller, and they were a bit crunchy - I was expecting it to be a bit softer. The Hojicha with the salted cream was delicious, great pairing. I also got to try a bite of the Chicken Filet Karage Sando which was crispy and cooked well. Ordered Peach Sando $13 Hojicha Latte w/ Salted Cream Cheese $7.25
Atmosphere was cute and quaint. It is tucked in a little area with other shops around. The vibes give cute leisurely cafe. We did not get any drinks this time, but I have previously gotten matcha from here and it was really good. Fish Katsu sando (5/5): SO GOOD. I was so surprised! The fish was flaky on the inside, crunchy on the outside. They added a good amount of veggies into it too. The sauce on the inside also paired really nice with the fish. Fried chicken sando (5/5): Also super good! The fried chicken was juicy! It also came with a cabbage coleslaw. Strawberries and creme sando (5/5): the cream to strawberry ratio was really good. Strawberry was big and juicy and very sweet. Cream tasted so good, like it was made fresh.
Been craving a 7/11-style egg salad sando and salmon musubi since returning from Japan and was recommended to this place for some reason. Can't speak to the drinks, but the food was tasty. Service was friendly and, despite the line out the door, prompt. Tasteful, minimal decor. All in all, this was all quite filling and good, but not what I came in for. The vibe here is more "Japanifornia" cuisine. Sandwiches had more complexity than I had anticipated. I wanted a simple snack and got a chef-inspired meal--which at least made me feel better about paying $15 for what in Tokyo is a 2-ingredient sandwich.

The strawberry creme top was real delicious! However, the matcha didn't stand out too much for me. It in fact tasted a bit watered down, but that colour and presentation was gorgeous. The shop was also really pretty and spacious and workers were nice!
Chic cafe in the Marina. I knew they had a location in the Sunset but we happened to walk by this one! The staff are welcoming and nice. The strawberry cream was subtle and not overwhelming. It added a nice texture to the matcha and the matcha was nice and strong. The dirty matcha was just okay! It wasn't bad, just not my preference. It would be good for someone who isn't into matcha but wants to check out this cafe.
A newer store on this side of town. Four to five tables for dine in to enjoy your drink and they serve sando, have to try one next time. Store is green and white aesthetics that is cute and blend together to bring a minimalistic environment. Order: matcha with salted cheese cream, not too sweet matcha and very strong flavor profile. would pass on the salted cheese cream as it was a bit salty for the liking.
The matcha was so good here, I got the pistachio matcha with whole milk and regular sweet. It was on the sweeter side but delicious! It didn't have that fake pistachio syrup flavor. They lose points from my on the onigiri, I got the miso crab and my friend got the yuzu salmon. Both were good in flavor but lacking in filling. It was a tiny bit of filling in the middle, seasoning on one side of the rice and a dollop of the meat on top. Presentation was delicious but why did I pluck off several hairs out of my snow crab onigiri?? Would come back for the matcha and I really wanted to try a sando but now I'm on the fence considering the hair in my onigiri.

I ordered the iced matcha latte with strawberry cream, regular milk and half sweet. It was really good, one of the better matcha lattes I've had in a while. Not too sweet and it tasted like real strawberry in the cream top. Will definitely be back!
Tried the Potato and Egg Salad Sando, which was pretty much Potato Salad with a jammy Softboiled Egg, which was overpriced especially for the lack of flavor in the Sando.
Finally got the chance to try Tadaima. There was a long line at a kind of off lunch hour on the weekend. It moves pretty fast. Probably ordered and got my sando within 30 minutes. Don't think the sandwich is worth the price. I think there are better sandos out there. Got the fish katsu with shiso sando. Wanted more shiso in the sandwich. The fish itself was kind of dry. It is filling, and it doesn't feel that heavy comparatively to American sandwiches. Not a lot of seating inside. Ended up eating near a park.
We got the Matcha Salted Cheese Cream Latte and the Black Sesame Latte, and both were delicious. The Matcha Salted Cheese Cream Latte was the standout for me. The salted cheese cream on top added this perfect savory balance to the sweetness of the drink. It's one of those combinations that sounds a little unexpected but just works. My one note for next time is to go half sugar so the matcha flavor can really shine through, but that's a personal preference more than a criticism. The Black Sesame Latte was good, but we both wished the sesame flavor was a little more pronounced. If you're going in expecting bold, nutty black sesame notes, it's a touch on the subtle side. Still enjoyable, just leaves you wanting a little more of what drew you to order it in the first place. Overall a really fun spot with creative drinks and a great vibe. Already thinking about what to try on the next visit!

We came right when they opened, which was perfect since there was a long line after we ordered. They sell Matcha, onigiris, spam musibis, and also Japanese sandwiches. For food got the Yuzu salmon onigiri, and the miso crab onigiri. Both of these came to a total of $12 which I thought was pretty expensive but it did taste pretty good. They are quite small like the palm of my hand, but it's good for a quick bite. For drinks, we got the hojicha latte. It's very good and it taste really authentic. It's nutty and creamy and overall a great drink place. This place is not meant for people to study. There's no Wi-Fi and there's a lot of people coming and going so it can get pretty distracting. They do have seating, but it gets taken up pretty fast by the amount of people that come to the shop. read more
Stopped by for a quick bite at 11:30am on a weekend. The inside was packed with no tables available, but there was only one person in line to order. Service was friendly & efficient, and the food came out in under 10mins. The yuzu salmon and miso snow crab onigiri were both delicious. Tadaima is such a cute spot for Japanese sandos, snacks, and matcha drinks. We tried the pistachio matcha latte, ebi shrimp katsu sando, chicken karaage sando, onigiri, and peach cream sando. The sandos were so delicious and easy to share. I especially liked that there were both savory and sweet options, so you can get a little bit of everything. The ebi shrimp katsu sando and chicken karaage sando were both satisfying, and the peach cream sando was a nice sweet treat to end with. The pistachio matcha latte was also a yummy drink! You can really taste the matcha and the pistachio cream is not too sweet. read more

Jasmine tea and matcha are having a moment, so i was eager to try Tadaima's rendition. It was tasty! The less sweet version was just right for me and I think the bitterness from each tea balanced each other well. The matcha added grassy notes, while the floral jasmine made for a very fragrant drink! We came right at opening, so we didn't wait at all. But, the line was already super long by the time we left. I would be curious to try their other specials and sandwiches in the future! read more
Pleaseee get these poor workers an AC unit that works, I felt so bad that they were sweltering in the recent heat when I went (and having to yell people's names over a loud crowd). Matcha here was fire though, I would definitely recommend over a couple other competitors in the SF area! Getting it less sweet allows that natural matcha flavor to really peak as well too. Next time, I'll have to try the food and also the jasmine tea with the matcha foam. I like the concept and aesthetic, especially when matcha shops are popping up like wildflowers. read more
A great addition to the Marina! The matcha here is nice, and the food is great too! We stopped by on a weekend and dang the line was so long. Definitely bear in mind that this is not a quick service place as of now, since there are so many people interested! However, the staff is kind and patient with the crowd, so just need to factor in extra time. We got the pistachio cream matcha and a couple onigiri. The matcha is definitely a sweet, dessert-like drink, but that worked out great for us! The pistachio is nice and creamy and the matcha is just a little earthy. The onigiri comes filled to the brim. They even put some of the additional filling on top, so it feels like a great bang for your buck. The crab onigiri is delicious! This is a great place! The line is long, and I wouldn't really recommend to someone specifically for a very true matcha taste, but this a great weekend pick-me-up spot! read more
Tadaima means I'm home in Japanese. It's just such a common term with my family, and being Japanese, I get a kick out of this cafe name. Well, here, I definitely didn't feel at home, but I did feel like all my matcha cravings were satisfied! My best friend and I always love grabbing matcha together. Being in the area, we wanted to check out Tadaima since we'd never been to their Mission spot. This place is popping with friend groups, couples, and like-minded matcha girlys. There's table seating inside, but it's usually taken, so keep that in mind. It's also popular for take-out, which is what we did. Decor is minimal, and the color inside is such a vibrant green. Service was quick for our matcha drinks but definitely took time for my best friend's food. We both got the Matcha Latte with Strawberry Cream, mine with oat milk. The matcha quality was good and not too sweet or bitter, the strawberry flavor was present, and the drink wasn't overly creamy. It was delicious and I'd order it again! My best friend said her sandwich was good too. Tadaima gets my approval in the Marina! There are so many places, so I recommend checking them out if you're in the area and craving a matcha. They're off Union Street, with street or garage parking nearby. read more
Great matcha and musubi in the Marina! The pistachio cream matcha latte was so good. As a huge matcha fan, I definitely approve. I loved that it wasn't too sweet, and the all-green interior is super cute and inviting. For food, I tried the unagi, avocado, and spam with egg musubi. I got lucky since it was the last one available, and it was so delicious I finished it in a minute. Parking is street parking all around. I heard there can be a wait during peak hours on weekends, but I went on a weekday afternoon and it was pretty chill. I stayed for a bit to work, but there's no WiFi, so plan to use your hotspot. Definitely coming back to try more matcha drinks! read more

Came here with my fiancé (who doesn't eat dairy). She originally wanted their matcha latte with strawberry cream, but unfortunately the strawberry cream was premade and couldn't be made non-dairy. So we got a plain matcha latte with oat milk. The matcha flavor was strong and it's not too sweet. The drink could have been smoother since there's a matcha powder texture at the end of each sip. I got their strawberry cream sando. The cream is almost like cheesecake consistency and it's pretty sweet. Bread is soft. Strawberries are more on the sour side, but I think it balances well the sweet cream and sweet bread. Overall, wish they were a bit more dairy-free friendly, but really good cream sando place and not a bad place for matcha latte! read more

Everyone likes their matcha a little different, but this has to be one of my favorites! I get it half sweet and the matcha flavor always peeks through. The specialty drinks are not overpowering. The sandos are filling and flavorful, without being too heavy as well. Staff is efficient and kind. My favorite location because they have ample seating and good music. It can get busy on the weekends, so get there early. read more

Solid comeback from grainy matcha drink in the mission location. This space is also a lot larger than the mission location one. Plenty of seating, but does get busy. Ordered a light ice matcha latte ($6.50). The matcha had a great umami flavor and good color. Pickup area can be a bit more organized. The cafe is more of a catch up cafe since there's no wifi, it does get quite loud, but the space is aesthetically appealing. read more
My date and I were on TikTok and wanted something sweet and we stumbled upon a video that reviewed Tadaima so we decided to go. We ordered a Strawberry & Cream Sando as well as a Strawberry Matcha Latte. In my opinion, the sando itself was a solid 3.5/5. Though the cream and strawberry was very sweet and delicious, the bread was unfortunately a little airy & dry which made the sando on the disappointing side for us. The Strawberry Matcha Latte was OK, ~3/5. We found that our Matcha wasn't all that smooth and felt a little "gritty." Once the strawberry part was mixed in, it became a little better. Overall, Tadaima in Marina was OK for us, it was definitely a solid try. read more
While the one in the Sunset has long lines, this one has none! (At least when we arrived at around 1pm on a Monday; ) We snacked on a curry chicken and a mushroom onigiri, along with drinks- strawberry cream matcha latte and a black sesame cream latte w/ a shot of espresso. Strawberry cream is a must!!! So delicious, fluffy and light not too heavy. A bit on the sweeter side (not overpowering). It doesn't taste like other cafes where the strawberry taste can be too syrupy. This one is close to perfect. Matcha itself was good, nothing super crazy but solid solid drink. Would recommend if in the area. Only thing, parking can get busy so if you can do online ordering and just pick up. You have to tell them u have an online order or they won't call your name. read more
Wasn't expecting an absolutely stuffed onigiri. I've had their sandos before , those I don't recommend. The onigiris are another story. Packed to the brim with snow crab and the beef was caramelized with onions! How delicious. Definitely packed but I will be back and will buy 6 next time read more
Walked in on a Tuesday around 11:30am. This place is usually packed. There was some seating by the high tables. The food is ready quickly and was nice and hot. I got the chicken karage sandwich, spam&egg musubi and hot matcha latte with oatmilk. I really enjoyed the karage sando and will be get this next time. Super crunchy exterior and juicy chicken. Flavors went really well together. The matcha comes sweetened. read more
I ordered the black sesame latte with oat, the barista asked if I'd like to have espresso in it which was odd since it's a latte and I had said yes. She asked single or double, most drinks come w a double shot so that's what I ordered. My drink came out to $10. Absolutely ridiculous because the espresso was not strong and the foam was fine. My friend ordered a pistachio cream matcha and found the matcha to be weak. We both agreed stonemill or yume would be a better visit. read more

The regular sugar is perfect sugar. You taste the Matcha. It is sweet and it tastes like real authentic Matcha the one thing that you should note those is if you're lactose intolerant, they don't have any creams that would give you flavored, but they do offer oat milk, almond milk, coconut milk read more
Stopped by for a late afternoon snack and got the fish sando. Service was quick and efficient. There isn't a ton of seating inside (and none outside) but a table opened up fairly quickly. The sando was super yummy. The fish wasn't greasy at all. It was crispy and light and paired nicely with the mayo and shiso leaf. The bread was super fluffy and delightful. It also came in a nice takeout box. Portion size was good for a heavier snack. I would stop by again for another sando and try one of their drinks. read more

This is the second time I've been to Tadaima, the first being at their other location in the Mission, and I loved it then and still do now! I got their matcha latte w/ strawberry cream and chicken sando and both were so good. I used to not be a fan of the strawberry and matcha combo since I'm not a huge sweets person, but it's grown on me and Tadaima does it well. Their chicken sando is super juicy and the bread is soft and perfect to absorb all the flavor! I love that there's two locations to stop at depending where I'm at in the city! read more

Finally got around to trying Tadaima! I never made it out to their location in the Mission District, simply because I don't frequent that neighborhood as often, and so I was happy to learn that they are now also in the Marina. (I'm sad that the establishment they took over, 7 Tables, is gone, but such is life.) I came on a weekday and shared a strawberry matcha latte and a fruit sando. Both were good, but not amazing. The drink was good for the first few sips, but I realized that I liked the strawberry portion--the matcha part was actually a bit too bitter for my personal preference. (For what it's worth, I've also been making my own matcha at home and it's sort of made it hard for me to appreciate cafe matcha drinks because I've become pickier ) Overall, I'm happy that I tried this place and that I didn't wait in line for hours for it. I would return if I was in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more

Decided to come here after seeing good reviews on Tiktok. I ordered the hojicha sea salt cheese foam latte to share with my fiance, but after trying it, we decided we each needed our own drink. It was that good. So we also ordered the matcha latte with foam. The hojicha was just the right amount of creamy and nutty. Probably the best hojicha we've had in the city so far. Same for the matcha honestly. It was just earthy enough and the milk and foam didn't subdue the matcha flavor at all. I hate when matcha is too milky. Everything came out really quick too! Would love to come back here. Such a great matcha spot. read more

I can understand why folks enjoy this place! Great location and cool vibe. We picked up a quick snack after the lunch rush but there was still a healthy line of people ordering at the counter. When you walk in the interiors have a S.F. Marina modern feel with ample seating. We had the chicken and egg sandos (sandwiches) and a unagi Musubi. Both sandwich fillings were spot on with Japanese flavors, my only comment would be the bread seemed a little dry...this could have been due to the timing of the day. I think what makes the food so appealing is the Japanese flavors in a familiar package...it's the Bread Stupid! Yes we will come back and we recommend. read more
Quick trip just to try from what's said to be one of the best matcha in SF. My daughter approved and she's tried a lot of places. It was smooth, balanced and they use high quality ceremonial matcha. Place had a few tables and chairs for 3 groups of 4 and a high table at the front. No lines until a few minutes after we came, that was about 5pm on a Sunday. I need to come back and try their Sando. read more
