Tried my 1st Hojicha latte. I liked the Roasted rice flavor. Small lil storefront. You order on the kiosk and grab it to go! Very popular day when I visited

It's the purple yam also known as Ube . The bottom looks flakey like some in SF on my social media feed

San Francisco Summer is a compilation of sun bursts which happen throughout the year. There is no such thing as typical Summer weather in San Francisco like other parts of America . Sometimes you cannot tell the difference from Spring to Summer weather in San Francisco. There is no consistency when the sun will come out. When the sun comes out and Karl the Fog is on vacation people come out and look for something delicious and cold. There is one place you can enjoy a refreshing drink like matcha no matter the weather. It's located on Market street and Noe and it's called Oishii Matcha. On a sunny Market street stroll in San Francisco Don Juan de la Matcha landed at Oishii Matcha. Inside I scrolled and ordered using the kiosk. Since it was hot with the sun was out in the city I got the purple yam the Ube ice cream not on a cone but on a croffle ( part flakey croissant and waffle in SF). The Ube ice cream was not too sweet and was tasty and the croffle was soft and a bit crispy. I then had to wash it down with a refreshing Matcha Mango Latte with foam. The matcha was delicious and hit the spot . Now the only thing to consider next time is which nearby park spot I should hit to enjoy a Matcha. Will it be Dolores Park or Duboce Park or Noe & Beaver Community Garden ?( Questions in my Mind). Come get the real matcha and not the "phony"go to Oishii Matcha because it is organic ceremonial "only" so let's have a tea "ceremony" with Don Juan de La Matcha giving the true matcha "testimony" Fake matcha should be "unlawful" it is tasteless and the flavor is very "awful " at Oishii Matcha you can get the purple Ube ice cream on a "croffle" it's a cross between a flakey croissant and a "waffle"

finally got to try this place! I ordered a regular matcha with soy milk, half sweet. I really enjoyed it. I went on a Wednesday afternoon so there was no wait. Really nice matcha flavor, and might try their soft serve next time.

strong matcha! the store is quite small and there's no real seating but I think the quality of the matcha makes up for it! The ice cream has a large serving size which I think is worth the price!

I got the iced mango matcha! It was my first time but it won't be my last. There was a line but it was quick to get my drink! Cute small spot and tasty!

Oiishi Matcha is a small Japanese drink shop tucked into a corner near Castro neighborhood. Their menu mainly features matcha, hojicha, and black sesame lattes. They also serve soft serve, but I was in the mood for matcha, so I ordered the Matcha Coconut Latte with Matcha Foam. Overall, the matcha was solid, not a strong one, but definitely not low-quality either. I reduced the sugar level to 50%, and it was perfectly balanced for my taste, so I think the regular sweetness level would be quite sweet. They also offer ube or matcha croffle, which looked really delicious. I'll definitely be back to try those next time.

Matcha wasn't great. You can taste the matcha but it lacks depth and nuttiness. Basically some matcha flavor with milk. Ube one is sweeter but covers even more of the matcha flavor.

Super friendly service and colorful ambiance in the middle of the Castro. Seating is limited, so you might have to take it to go. The ube latte was so freaking yummy!! The ube taste and the brown sugar from the boba could both be tasted. Boba was soft and chewy in the best way. The drink was really sweet though, so I recommend doing 50% or even lower. Will definitely be back to try more!

Came on a Thursday evening after having dinner in the area. None of their soft serves were available; it was near closing time so understandable. The shop is on the smaller side, and it's more of a grab-and-go kind of spot. We ordered the Ube Matcha Latte and Hojicha Boba Latte, both at 25/30% sweetness. The drinks were not sweet at all so if you like your drinks a little sweet, I recommend getting at least 50%. The ube itself was good and I liked it. However, the drink overall was okay. Either the ube was a little overpowering or the matcha flavor wasn't strong, because I couldn't really taste the matcha.

Cool menu with lots to offer. It was hard to choose, and I feel like you can't go wrong with any of the options! Would definitely come back here again

Enjoyed an iced matcha latte to-go from Oishii Matcha. As I walked in I was greeted and waited in the store, the store was very clean and aesthetic. I soon got my drink and left. My drink didn't have too much ice and the matcha to milk ratio was (in my opinion) phenomenal. The matcha was smooth and had very nice bold earthy notes. I will come back again and I would love to see them expand on their menu.

Super tasty and convenient takeout matcha spot! They have boba drinks and soft serve with other Asian flavors as well, such as hojicha, ube, and black sesame. We got the strawberry matcha and ube lattes. Both were flavorful and not too sweet at 50% and 25% sugar respectively. The matcha was really high quality and strong. The service is fast and friendly as well. The inside has a small bench while you wait for your order but otherwise there isn't much seating inside. Great new addition to the Castro for sure!

Matcha is so yum and creamy!!! It's also right next to a gummy shop so it's the perfect combo. :)

The flat white with whole milk and single-origin, Ethiopian beans was absolutely delicious! You can really taste the freshness of the coffee's roast. It was so interesting to learn about the zero-emissions in-house Bellwether roasting process. There was also a coffee scent bar where you could compare the scents of different bean origins prior to ordering! The baristas were friendly and personable despite the afternoon rush!

The lady that I was watching was there for the matcha and I can understand why now. We tried the Yuzu Matcha Air Cloud and a Caramel Latte because I felt like we needed to try the coffee since it's a Coffee shop though I have to say I was not a fan of the coffee. We arrived just before the line outside started to form. There's seating available inside with a couple of people that seemed to be working. We originally sat in the middle section with the small round table that can't be moved but then a table opened up. There's a gender neutral restroom available that always seemed to have a line though I guess that's what happens at coffee shops. ~~Service: Good. It was quick to order and surprisingly very quick to receive our drinks as well. ~~Best Part: The Matcha. The coffee was a bit too bitter but it could be due to the fact that I do prefer to drink dark roasts. ~~Worst Part: Nit though maybe it's just me where we were expecting there to be a trash at the entrance so that we could throw away our cups as we were leaving but I guess there's no room for the bins at the beginning so you have to walk to the back towards the restroom to throw it away. ~~Tips: Get the matcha. I wanted to get the velvet but it looked so basic compared to the Yuzu matcha air cloud. The Yuzu flavor itself was refreshing in the foam form but I'm very basic when it comes to flavors and shouldn't have mixed the foam in because it was messing with me. ~~Return: Probably not. I wanted to check the receipt because somehow 2 drinks was nearly $20 but I realized there wasn't even an option to get a receipt.

I thought it would be similar to like a Hawaiian style latte with macadamia milk, but it was a lot lighter than I thought. It was definitely very nutty, but it also just tasted like water down latte. Honestly not much going on with the drink, but it does taste lighter in general. Crazy have to pay $1.50 more to add on this milk. Overall, its alright. Didn't realize the rose latte would come as a hot drink but it was still good. Opted for less sweet but was a little more sweet than expected compared to the Yemeni latte.
