    Empty 3 pm weekday
    Kimberly W.

Came here for their jasmine tea with matcha cream as I heard someone shouting "there's no line!" at 3PM on a weekday, so I knew I had to come by and try it. Interior was small with very few seats. Seating space was probably as large as the ordering area. Went to eat my solid meal and then came by again, still no line! It was quick to order and get my drink (I was the only guest ordering lol). It was pretty good, but I'm not sure I'd wait in a line for it. But if there's no line and I'm interested in some matcha, I'd definitely stop by again.

Came here mid-afternoon for a snack. I ordered a hot hojicha latte, a shiso beef onigiri, and a mushroom pickled daikon onigiri. Both onigiris were super yummy-lots of filling inside and very flavorful. I ended up feeling like I ate a meal instead of a snack, but no regrets because they were so delicious. The cashier recommended heating up the onigiri for 30 seconds. Hojicha was also quality, but pretty strong, and had a slight bitter flare to it. Store is pretty clean but limited seating. Parking can be difficult in the area, so if you are driving, I'd recommend bringing some coins/credit card to pay for a metered space. Prices are a little high but good quality. Hope to try a fruit sando next time!

Got lucky at noon on a weekday, swung by on my lunch break and didn't see a line, even got a seat inside to quickly engulf my food. You can certainly bring it a few steps down to the park as well. Chicken karaage sando - perfectly crisp, juicy chicken, bread was ok. Very easy to eat, came out fast if you're looking for something quick but fresh! Salmon shiso onigiri - lovely snack, packed with flavor. Good portion of salmon, whole shiso leaf, more veggies mixed in the seasoned rice ball. I loved everything in this one. Strawberry matcha - great matcha flavor even without adding extra shot. Strawberry cream was a treat, and they offered half/less sweet which was perfect. Am interested to try the tonkatsu pineapple sando and pistachio matcha! Lots of other great onigiris and drinks and specials too. The fruit sandos look beautiful.

Yuzu Salmon Onigiri - Yum! 4/9/26

I really don't want you to go to Tadaima Inner Sunset...because it's super popular already! The onigiri is incredibly fresh and delicious. You see them making them in the front by the window. Fascinating to see the staff pressing ingredients into the triangular molds. I love the variety of salmon onigiri (from simple Yuzu to more fancy with some thin omelette covered ones). I've tried the beef and yuzu salmon. Yum! Still I will get to the curry chicken onigiri and other flavors. Let's talk beverages: the matcha lattes are one of the best in San Francisco! I've had both hot & cold with oat milk. The Hojicha lattes..omg..SO good! There is even more at Tadaima: sandwiches(!) both savory and sweet. Customers are gobbling these up. The tonkatsu Sando (savory) and the fruit cream sandos (sweet) look delicious. If possible, don't linger inside the shop. There is only a wall bench with five small tables - it is a small seating area. It's a bit cramped inside when patrons are waiting to pick up drink or food orders. Take the food/drinks out and go to Golden Gate Park - only a half block away. Having Tadaima here in the Inner Sunset adds another jewel in this wonderful gourmet corridor. Food: 5 stars Ambiance: 3 stars Service: 4 stars - polite and prompt

Nice vibe at this Tadaima, where the onigiris are displayed on the counter and you could fill a basket before purchase. I bought a hot almond matcha and my daughter ordered a cold matcha latte strawberry foam, saying it's her 2nd favorite in the city, after Maruwu Seicha. Tbh, I thought my matcha was overpowering. Good service.

Solid matcha, the strawberry cream top was really good and wasn't overly sweet. I think i prefer this over the jammy strawberry puree other matcha spots serve. I also tried their yuzu salmon onigiri, the rice was perfectly seasoned and there was a decent amount of salmon both inside and outside. The inside can get loud and feel a little claustrophobic but drinks come out pretty fast.

Tadaima's third location in the inner sunset. On a Sunday morning at 11:45 am there was a short line. Menu posted on the window outside and inside. Once you walk in the onigiri/spam musubis are on display to choose. Savory and sweet sandwiches/drinks can be ordered from cashier. Not a whole lot of tables and not good for big groups. I liked the yuzu salmon onigiri. A little pricey for the small size but still good. The mixed fruit sando was kinda sweet but good. Next time, I'll just get the strawberry version. Street parking is tough

Hot matcha latte (6.25). Shiso salmon onigiri (8.50). Shiso unagi onigiri (8.50)
    Johnny A.

Came on a rainy Monday afternoon and there was no wait. We got 2 premium onigiris (shiso unagi, shiso salmon) and they were super flavorful! Also got a hot matcha latte which had a nice bold matcha taste. It passed my basic matcha test of not tasting like a cup of milk. There are a few small tables to eat at. The matcha cup and onigiris can feel a little sticky and the tables were kinda dirty, so this is something that can be better. Normally would've rated a 4 for the price for value, because 8.50 for a small onigiri is quite steep, but the food is good and I want the business to continue improving, will round up. I want to try the sandos another time, to bring me back to the conbini days in Japan, but the $16 may stop me. We'll see how I feel... Street parking can be tough in this busy area and the meter maids are on high alert. We were 2 mins past our meter time and Bam! $107 ticket. So be mindful if there is a wait during busy times.

So happy they opened a new location here! Tadaima is excellent. We went on a weekday and it was busy inside but there was no line. The onigiri is made fresh and set out so you can easily grab what you want and check out without waiting. I also ordered the tonkatsu pineapple sando which took about 10 minutes, so not bad at all. The shiso salmon onigiri was really good with a decent portion of salmon on top. We also tried the shiso unagi onigiri which we liked and thought had even better flavored rice, probably from the unagi sauce. The tonkatsu pineapple sando was good and the pineapple paired well, but I still prefer the chicken filet karaage sando (tried this at their other location). This is a perfect spot to pick up lunch on a weekday. I would not wait an hour or more on the weekends, but weekday was great! There is limited seating inside, or you can take it to go and enjoy it at the park or beach nearby.

Came on Saturday when they opened. Already a line to get in. Love that you can grab and go the onigiris but order sandos at the cashier. I got the chicken and fish sando - but were really good! Onigiris were also tasty.

Fish Katsu with Shiso Sando and Hojicha Latte

So excited that this location opened up in Inner Sunset! The onigiri look so delicious and I will definitely come back for those another time. Ordered a hojicha latte and a fish katsu sandwich. The hojicha latte was a really good drink portion and the caffeine definitely got me through the afternoon. The fish katsu sandwich had so many great textures and flavors and the sandwich was built in a way where the bread wasn't soggy even after traveling with it. The line was pretty manageable and the items came out quick after ordering. I think it only took 5-10 minutes of waiting time. The interior is also much larger than expected. The exterior makes it look like it might be a tiny shop but there's actually quite a good amount of seating inside.

Omg. I didn't realize how DELICIOUS Tadaima's matcha was. I saw this place all over social media and was skeptical about it. A close gf told me she really liked their matcha so we went! And I do indeed get the hype. Their pistachio matcha is sooo good and creamy. We came on a weekend and line moves decently fast(ish) and seats open up here and there. Parking is around Irving St, so you already know how that goes. (Be prepared to maybe park far and walk)

I came to this place because I heard it was a new restaurant that opened a little while ago. I finally got a chance to try it. I waited in line for about 15-20 minutes. From the window you can watch them make the onigiri fresh. When you walk in the onigiris are on wooden shelf/trays and separated by ingredients. It feels like a to go place, pretty clean, and drinks can also be ordered I ordered the snow crab, salmon yuzu, and spam misubi. The snow crab was okay, the texture is soft. The salmon yuzu had a yuzu taste. It was more flavorful than the snow crab. The spam and egg misubi was pretty regular. They have specials and sandos. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but if I have a craving I would comeback.

The fish was so fresh and melted in my mouth. I highly recommend getting the tasting to try out different pieces. We also ordered the snow mountain roll which included white tuna. I also enjoyed this role. Everything paired really well together. The Gyoza was also tastier than I was expecting. Super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The koueigiku sake paired so well with all the food. Super smooth, sweet and went down easily. It was $24 per glass, which was on the pricier side but worth it.
