    Peaches & Cream
    Michele T.

Been wanting to check out Tadaima for a while. During our visit, there was a line but it moved fairly quickly and we were also able to grab a table. Despite the line, our drinks were ready pretty fast too. Longest wait was for the Peaches & Cream sando - maybe about 15 minutes. Based on recommendations, we ordered the Strawberry cream and Pistachio Cream matchas. The matcha flavor came through, as well as the pistachio and Strawberry - good. The shiso salmon onigiri was still warm when we picked it up. Kiddo enjoyed it. The snow crab one was also good - crab on top and in the middle with a slight citrus flavor. I've also been wanting to try to fruit sandos for a while, but the ones I've seen never seemed appealing. They had a seasonal one, Peaches & Cream, and knew we had to give it a try. Must say, this was probably my fave. Soft milk bread and the cream was not too sweet. Those peaches, on the other hand, was so sweet and juicy. Yum!

I would def come back for the sandwich, super flavorful and yummy! The chicken karage was fried and crispy but still juicy and so much flavors. Overall my favorite thing that we purchased. As far as the matcha it was good but I def prefer real fruit for my strawberry matcha over strawberry cream.

I would honestly give them a 3.5 and I didn't feel comfortable giving them a 3 so I increased it to a 4. I wanted to like Tadaima as much as other people like or love it, but it was something that I tried once and will probably not go back to just because I know other places with better tasting matcha and Japanese sandwiches. We pre-ordered online on a weekend and the wait was about 40-45 minutes. Luckily my husband and I found the timing perfect as we walked from the Richmond to Sunset to pass the time. When we grabbed our stuff, we managed to get a table to eat our sandwiches. Seating is very limited and it was surprisingly kind of loud for a matcha shop. The sandos were okay. I was surprised to find the strawberry and cream sandwich to be sweeter than other ones that I've had (ex. Bread n Chu). The strawberries tasted like they were soaked in a syrup or something before going into the sandwich. The chicken sandwich was good. Not bad, but nothing to be wowed about either. My matcha latte was good - that's all I can say. I overheard people outside saying this was the best matcha ever, but I've had better. I am glad to have supported them since they have been broken into twice this year. I unfortunately feel like I will go to my other go-to spots for matcha and sandwiches rather going back here.

One of my top matcha spots in SF so far! Came around 1:15 pm on a Saturday and there was a short line to order. Took about 10 mins to order and 5 mins to get our drinks. I hope to try their onigiri or sandos next time I'm back in SF since they looked delicious. -Matcha latte w/ strawberry cream (5/5): DELICIOUS!! Matcha is strong, rich and not bitter. The strawberry cream is perfectly sweet, not artificial tasting, and not didn't overpower the matcha. -Matcha latte w/ matcha cream (4.5/5): matcha on matcha is strong and rich, wasn't too sweet but got better when mixed in

My favorite matcha I've had in SF so far! Waited about 10 minutes to order on a Saturday around 1PM and waited another 5-10 mins for our drinks. Seating was full so we took it to go. Sadly wasn't hungry enough to try their sandos or onigiri but hopefully next time! I will definitely stop by on my next trip to SF :) Matcha latte with strawberry cream (5/5): matcha is STRONG and not bitter. The strawberry cream is fragrant, perfectly sweet and not overpowering the matcha Matcha latte with matcha cream (4.5/5): matcha on matcha had me buzzed lol, but it was super strong and rich. Not too sweet but a little sweeter once it mixed together

Strawberry cold foam matcha latte & mixed fruit and cream

I love the strawberry cold foam matcha latte. ! It's delicious! 10/10 highly recommended The mixed fruit sando is a no go I immediately spit it out ha! Its awful! very disappointing however to each its own, its white bread and it has that sort of taste... try it but I wasn't a fan. Service was fast! Always a crowd its very popular. Parking is hard, try parking a few blocks away ! Wishing you the best of luck !

This place is packed and for good reason! A line out the door indicated that this was a good place to try. You line up and are presented with 8 different types of onigiri. We got the salmon, crab, spam musubi, and the curry. All were great and what you would expect. The crab was nice and creamy and the curry was nicely done. The rice itself was fluffy, sticky, and uncrushed. We also got the pineapple tonkatsu sando which had red cabbage, pineapple, tonkatsu, and they called it pineapple sauce but kinda like sweet and sour and ketchup. Overall great because the pork was not dry and each element brought acid and crunch to the soft pillowy bread. The mixed fruit sando was good because it had fruit all the way to the back of it. Most places only put fruit for the presentation side. The cream was thick and sweet which played nicely with the sweet milk bread. As for the drinks, we got the strawberry matcha and the hojicha with cheese cream, both less sweet. The matcha comes from the brand "Matchaful" and is light and grassy in flavor. The hojicha was nice and earthy. The presentation of each dish was peak and the service was super fast and friendly. I'd come back here! It's a great place to grab food to go then have a short drive/ walk to the Golden Gate Park. Perfect for date food.

jasmine tea with matcha cold foam, black sesame matcha
    Ashlee L.

I usually don't really like black sesame matchas that much tbh because the black sesame always overpowers the matcha, but for some reason I was craving one today. I don't think it's even on their menu, they only have a black sesame latte, but I asked the cashier if they could make it a matcha and she was so kind to say yes!! And this one I could actually taste the matcha because it was stronggg!! The jasmine tea with matcha cold foam was also solidd! I could taste both the jasmine and the matcha and the foam was not cheesy at all :) Bonus points for the line moving SO FAST?! Like it was a Sunday, line was out the door, I thought it would take at least 30-45 mins, but it only took us 15 mins to order AND get our drinks like dayamm. Parking is a nightmare though...

Cute little spot! The sandwiches are tasty - I had the tonkatsu w pineapple and enjoyed it! It was a very classic Japanese sandwich. My only feedback is that it's a bit pricey for what it is and the amount of food you get. The matcha latte was very refreshing! I enjoyed that. I went on a Sunday morning so it was busy - there was ~10min wait In line and another ~15min wait for the food Staff were all friendly!

The fish sando was really good. Chicken katsu sando was average. Onigiris weren't good.
    Mary L.

Sandos were pretty good, but onigiris were poorly executed. Fish sando was a 4 out of 5. Fish was nicely fried, lightly seasoned, and fit perfectly in the pillowed breads. Chicken katsu was a 3.5 out of 5. I really liked the dark meat, but they added fried green beans or some tempura veggie?! It just didn't complement well. I ended up saving a small piece to microwave the next morning. Held well under the microwave! Now for the onigiris - I got two of their $8.50 onigiris. The eel and salmon onigiris. These weren't worth $8.50..maybe not even $3.50 because the rice was super dried and tasted old. I wouldn't be surprised if these were made the day before. If I ever go back, I'd get the fish sando again and maybe try a matcha drink.

    Andrea K.

Love that they opened in the Sunset!! The line moves fast, and they have a great selection of drinks and onigiris. Strawberry matcha: very creamy with a light strawberry flavor. I appreciate the strong matcha, but it's also a bit grainy.

Very quick service and sandwiches were expertly prepared. No crust on the white bread which was delightful. It was literally a flavor bomb to eat. Parking may be difficult, went across Lincoln ave and found a free spot in the park.

We came as a party of 7 and, despite a line out the door, it moved quickly and we didn't have to wait long. We tried the matcha with strawberry cream, the pineapple tonkatsu sando, and the unagi spam & egg musubi. Everything tasted great--the matcha strawberry was refreshing, the tonkatsu sando was flavorful, and the unagi musubi had a nice balance of sweet and savory flavors. The main reasons I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 are the portion sizes and value. The drinks had a bit too much ice, and some items felt pricey for what you get. For example, the unagi spam & egg musubi was $8.50, but I finished it in about three bites. It was closer to onigiri size than the larger musubi size I was expecting. Overall, the food quality was good and the service was efficient, but be prepared for smaller portions and higher prices.

On the days we have gone, the line has varied from being out the door to a quick walk in and order - truly just depends. Regardless of the long line, these drinks are soooo good. Upon entering the coffee shop, you'll see a good amount of seating, but for the times we have gone, the majority of the seats are taken. It is definitely a variety of people socializing, working, reading books, or just hanging out. Parking is metered or street parking, and we haven't had any issue finding parking! It's also in an area where you can shop around (across the street) if you want to grab a bite as well. Our go to orders include the Mocha Dream Espresso Cloud and the Nitro Mango, but we have also gotten the Hojicha Cloud, which is amazing as well. We love the thickness and flavors of the cold foams - you cannot go wrong with any of the cloud drinks. As popular as this place has become, it truly is worth the trip! We will always make a trip whenever we are in the city!

Staff was kind and patient with explaining drinks, especially since this location is newer. I got the caramel latte cloud espresso and was very pleasantly surprised!!! I usually get specialty drinks half sweet, but forgot this time - the caramel latte cloud espresso was actually just right without adjusting the sweetness. The cold foam on top was light and delicious. They only had one size and it was pretty big. The applewood bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on brioche bread was also amazing. Very savory, not too heavy either. It was mostly just bread though. Definitely coming back to try their other drinks when I'm in the area!

So we got an extra drink for free. Trying the iced latte, it was pretty disappointing lol. I thought it would be similar to like a Hawaiian style latte with macadamia milk, but it was a lot lighter than I thought. It was definitely very nutty, but it also just tasted like water down latte. Honestly not much going on with the drink, but it does taste lighter in general. Crazy have to pay $1.50 more to add on this milk. Overall, its alright. I do like the natural lighting coming into the shop, but nothing too special.
