Came on a Saturday around 2pm. The inside had a good amount of tables, and there weren't too many people. We did the all you can eat sushi. I think the restaurant was understaffed because the service was unfortunately extremely slow. It took a while for them to seat us and to take our order. The sushi itself was not bad. I do think they overload it with rice to make you full. After being done with our rolls, we had to follow up twice about the hand rolls we had ordered the first time. We finally got them and to no surprise it was packed with rice.

Not a lot of sushi buffets in the city so it's nice to have this option. Menu is relatively small compared to the peninsula sushi buffets and mostly based on sushi rolls. If want to try a lot of different things, not conducive to that since rolls are pretty large. Regardless, everything is fresh and tasty. Chicken karaage and hand rolls are good too. Wish they had sashimi options. Place is small and intimate. Service is ok.

Rice to meat ratio is crazy. Its just full of rice. You will be full so fast. Miso soup doesnt taste like miso. Deep fried rolls are cold. Sushi rolls taste like its been sitting there for so long. And it take forever to get service. Fried chicken is great.

Lion King, caterpillar, spider rolls and others I forgot lol

We came on a weekend. The rolls were a good size. Fun fact: if your order Nigiri there's a $10 extra per person on top of your AYCE price. No problem. Our daughter just likes Nigiri. So we eat what we eat. Good Ambiance. Smaller restaurant. But it gets pretty busy. Not too crazy. Service is good.

Overall: 4.25 stars!! There seems to be an increase in ayce sushi spots in SF, but Uma stood out to me because they offer both AYCE and a la carte menus - hopefully promising higher quality ayce options. We came here for lunch on a Monday, and while it was busy with a stead flow of guests, we waited about 5 minutes for a table for 2. $26.99 ayce seemed like too good a deal to pass up, so we opted for that option. What we ordered: miso soup, garden salad, 49er roll, lion king roll, negihama maki, coral reefs roll, salmon and tuna handrolls and a hot tea pot ($2). The rolls were all tasty and well-sized. The rice to fish ratio was also balanced. Sometimes, places make them huge, so you can only commit stomach space to 1-2 full rolls, and I get really sad! Lol. The handrolls were also tasty but had just a tad too much rice. My spicy tuna handroll in particular had a pool of sriracha sauce in it. (It might have just been that one.) Overall, good quality and value though. Parking: Street & meter. Quite difficult. Service: Friendly and fast

If you head out to the avenues, you can find some great dining deals. Case in point, Sushi Uma with its ayce sushi lunch special for $24.99. Lunchtime is a generous 11am-4pm and we avoided peak hours by dining later but there were still a steady stream of diners popping in. AYCE includes a whole bunch of rolls or you can top up $10 for nigiri. We started with some hand rolls and those were by far the best bites of the meal. Fresh fish and plenty of it packed into each roll. We ordered a whole bunch of maki and specialty rolls which were fine but following the hand rolls proved to be a hard act to follow. Great deal for sushi lunch is great incentive to make the trek from downtown.

The food was not it. Here is a breakdown of everything we got: - rainbow roll - cherry blossom - blue fin toro nigiri (this was $15) - smoked salmon nigiri - sake nigiri First off the rice did not taste like sushi rice. It was insanely dense, and did not hold together like sushi. The fish was mediocre. One of my biggest grievance is the fact that we got the blue fin toro which is supposed to be fatty. This slice of fish was the leanest tuna I've ever seen. The nigiri was the same color as the roll. Service was ok. The waitress was on the phone most of the time. It was a slow night.

My friends and I tried a to-go order for Sushi Uma for a night in. Our order was neatly given to us in a few plastic boxes. Red Dragon Roll: This was my personal favorite! I loved the crunchiness of the shrimp tempura that went along well with the sauce and texture. Boston Roll: This roll was simple. While the salmon sashimi on top wasn't the freshest in my opinion, it still satisfied all our cravings. Takoyaki: The takoyaki paired with the sauce was great! I wish that it was slightly crispier, but the creamy, soft interior was satisfying enough. Wakame Salad: The portion size was decent for the price, and this was a general favorite of all of us.

Very good sushi, well made everything is fresh we here at 2 and we only waited for 15 min all the dish we order was on the table we have 4 people and able to finish 17 rolls of sushi. The atmosphere is very chill and good very recommended for hungry people.

Been here a couple times and have tried both the omakase and all you can eat menus. Quality of the omakase is great, including premium cuts of fish and uni. Can't really argue with toro and uni, at a price of about $15-$20 far more that of Amami. Their all you can eat menu runs everyday from 11 AM - 4 PM. For under $30, you can get your fill of a bunch of different sushi rolls and hand rolls. Nigiri options start at $10 more. We stuck with the regular ayce and it was more than enough to fill us up. Quality was good and rolls were flavorful! The place was packed at 1 PM on a Sunday, but service was friendly and the place was clean! Will definitely be coming back!

First timers here and it didn't disappoint! They do only offer rolls. You can order nigiri but that's an additional $10/person. The rolls are huge and they don't have a lot of rice which is always a good thing. The rolls were delicious. At $24.99 it's definitely worth it. Service was great. They were very attentive and refilled our cups frequently. The place is a bit small but it's just right for the area. They have a good amount of tables. Parking can be a bit tough which can make or break the trip down here. But if you hold out long enough to find parking, you will leave with a happy belly.

I've been wanting to come to this place for the AYCE lunch special for DAYS! I keep missing the lunch window, but I finally came for dinner and it was fantastic. Everything was SO fresh and absolutely delicious, plus, still well priced. I was shocked! Awesome service and clean space. I really CAN'T wait to come for the AYCE lunch.

Came here since the pictures looked good and it was close by also a ***main reason** is that it has so much parking, that is free after 6pm. We parked and walked in got sat immediately. They gave us the menu and then some waters. We ordered a big bottle of sake and many rounds of dishes. They had some TV's playing but I couldn't see what it was since the Tv's were above us. They had some music playing but I think it was next doors. ok food, we ordered: -edimame (not sure if I have just had less cooked edamame but this one seemed more cooked then what I am use to, it was fine, still good) - Red dragon roll: good roll the spicy tuna was great. flavorful with a nice kick. -San Francisco roll: nice crunch -Hottie roll: shrimp was nice and the tempura had a great crunch. -Lava roll: spicy sauce was a good mix with the roll -fried tako balls: nice flavor and fresh octopus They had a lot of business so that means something good. It was a great time and we will be back

We were seated pretty quickly on a Sunday evening, and there were a couple of other parties there. They had a sign advertising a special where you can order two items from a list and it comes with soup, salad, and rice, but we ended up just splitting two house special rolls - the Salmon Mango roll and Rock N Roll roll (tuna, avocado, spicy mayo). Both were delicious. I particularly liked the Salmon Mango roll - it was a perfect mix of sweet and savory. The rolls came with 8 pieces each and each piece was a good size, so it was plenty for two of us. I also got a Sapporo beer (bottle) to sip on. Overall, good experience - quick, efficient service and satisfying meal.

It added a fun, modern touch and definitely made the experience memorable. It's not every day your food is delivered by a robot and train. It brought a lot of smiles and conversation to the table. On top of the entertainment, the food itself was fresh and delicious. There was a great variety of sushi to choose from, and everything we tried was flavorful and well-prepared. I think the combination of good food, unique service, and a lively atmosphere made this a standout dining experience.
