New spot. Obviously, it's a busy place. Seating up and downstairs both on benches and chairs. Limited tables otherwise bar counter space is available. Cool vibe. Friendly staff and efficient. Wait is not very long. Matcha was tasty, cappuccino was moderately strong but latte art did not last long and the depth of the drink was lost quickly. The scones were wonderful, a bit of crunch, softer center and filled with choice of jam and pre spread w/ butter. Great addition to the sunset and it's a great spot for your studies, to hang out or to grab a solid drink and pastry
I love scones and I love coffee, so had to check out Jandii. Location sat empty for as long as I can remember. They did a great job with the interior. It was busy on the Sunday morning we visited - all tables were taken so we took our order to go. Only one kind of scone - served with their seasonal jam. We ordered one of each - blueberry jam and raspberry jam. They were still warm. Liked the texture of the scone - almost like cornmeal. Both kiddo and I thought the scones were very reminiscent of cornbread. The jams were good, not too sweet. Out of both, we liked the raspberry one a bit more. Ordered the Triple Hojicha with oat milk - good. Kiddo enjoyed her Raspberry Matcha drink, too.
Cute spot and good coffee. I got their oat milk cold brew on tap, delicious and strong! Person behind the counter taking our order was so nice too. I really enjoyed when employees ask genuine questions or are happy to answer your questions. Made the experience even better in my opinion. Wish they had more of a pastry selection but definitely a spot to check out.
The place has a lot of seating. Many people seem to be working. I got their raspberry matcha and raspberry scone. Both were excellent quality. The matcha was earthy. It balanced well with almond milk and the house-made raspberry jam which was not too sweet just how I like it. The scone was crumbly paired a delicious slab of butter and jam. I would love to come again!
Went back to try the coffee and matcha. The coffee was really nice, maybe a little sweet for some but I enjoy it that way. The matcha was pretty good, the raspberry jam at the bottom was a little harder to get to but the matcha was decent. Glad to see the place full of remote workers, a great addition to the neighborhood!
I was pretty excited when Jandii opened in my neighborhood but a lil less excited when I kept reading new reviews about how bad the matcha supposedly is. Worse yet, one of my friends came here, and their friend got the matcha and didn't like it. With even a second degree connection dissing the matcha, I postponed coming until a month after opening. Skeptical as I am about the matcha, I ordered the signature oat milk brew on tap to play it safe. It was ready within a couple minutes of ordering, and the drink was quite buttery and creamy with salty notes. At first even after giving it a good stir, it tasted really sweet, but it mellowed out as I drank more and was perfect toward the end. After this good first experience, I've warmed up a bit to trying the matcha, but maybe I'll ease into it and try another coffee or scone first. At any rate, it's amazing having a spacious WiFi café within walkable distance now. Jandii is an incredible addition to Taraval, and I hope to come back again soon to compete with the crowd for a coveted seat to work from café.
New cafe! Really like the interior design with light woods, some plants, and lots of natural light. Also plenty of seating with both and upstairs and downstairs area. The upstairs area was quieter, with more people working or studying on a Saturday afternoon. Plenty of parking in the surrounding area, so that's also a plus Prices are pretty normal compared to other nicer cafes throughout the city. I didn't try any pastries, but the coffee was good The einspanner latte was excellent! the cream had the perfect level of saltiness to balance the sweetness and acidity of the espresso. The flavor was excellent, and definitely one of the better einspanners I've had. I also tried the Signature Jandii Oat Milk Brew. It had a really unique flavor, with some earthy flavor and even a little spice feeling. Definitely a coffee worth trying, but I would come back for the einspanner latte Great cafe to chat with friends or get work done. Will be back

I ordered the triple matcha latte, and I would've expected it to be somewhat decent but it was absolutely flavorless. As someone who makes matcha on the daily, the quality of matcha they use is not on par! The drink is very bland and doesn't taste like matcha at all. I was honestly so shocked, I could only drink 1/4 of my drink. I would only come back here if I wanted to look at the interior, but this was highly disappointing
Yet another cute cafe in sf!! Their fresh raspberry scone is soooo good. The scones and raspberry jam is all made in-house. The raspberry pairs well with the matcha. Never had raspberry matcha before and it was different but in a good way. Baristas / cashiers were super sweet and did a great job and helping me order while not being pushy about their menu. There's 2 seating areas: 1 that's more crowded / loud for catch ups/hang outs and 1 more quiet nook in the upstairs section for work. I would come back :)
A light and airy cafe in San Francisco's sunset neighborhood. The menu consists of drinks and baked goods. Prices are on the higher side for San Francisco; for instance, my iced raspberry matcha with regular milk was $9.04 pre-tip. Service is professional and fast. The cafe is popular, even on weekdays as it quickly filled up within minutes of opening. There are a lot of people working and chatting in one of the two floors of spacious smaller party tables, bar tables, and communal tables. There are paid meters off of Taraval and free, two-hour residential parking in the perimeter. Overall, the space of Jandii is beautiful and spacious, especially for San Francisco.
We recently went to Jandii to try their drinks. I ordered the blackberry jam scone and the hojicha einspanner. Both were really good. The scone was crispy on the outside and the inside was soft and fluffy. The blackberry jam paired perfectly with it. The hojicha einspanner was delicious and creamy. It was flavorful and not too sweet. I would definitely come back and try more items. The cafe is bright and the perfect place to hang out, study or do work. Service was quick even though there was a line
I've been trying a bunch of new matcha spots in the city recently, and this is now one of my favorites! I got the matcha einspanner latte, and I really enjoyed it. The matcha quality was pretty good and flavorful. And the salted cream was absolutely delicious. I also ordered a scone with raspberry jam. The scone was so incredibly fresh. It had a perfectly crisp, crunchy exterior and a moist interior. Highly recommend giving it a try! It's fairly spacious inside, although pretty packed on the weekends. Service was also friendly and fast.
Came here on a weekday by bus, transit was pretty easy. They offer a selection of coffee, matcha and scone with two choices of jam (blackberry and raspberry). The staff were very friendly and gave us recommendations on what to order. I ordered the raspberry jam + butter scone & a hot vanilla latte. My friend ordered the blackberry jam + butter scone & an iced Einspanner latte. We both enjoyed the blackberry jam more. The raspberry one in contrast was more tart (but you like tart you will like the raspberry one). The scone was warm and with the jam & butter -- phenomenal. The vanilla latte was nice and you can see the black specs from the syrup. very yummy; the einspanner latte was a bit too sweet for us There's a lot of space inside (upstairs & downstairs area). We sat downstairs and I could see some outlet around. There is wifi but it was a bit unstable (wifi dropped a few times while we were there that day). The space was a little stuffy, hope ventilation improves later since I think they opened not that long ago. Overall, very cute decor, good work space (wifi + outlet but can be not reliable), good scones, drinks are good but leans on the sweet side. I would visit again and try their matcha next time :)!

Happy to have a new cute coffee/matcha shop in the neighborhood! This place is so cute and have plenty of seats to either do work or catch up with friends! I love their scones! They have warm and fresh, with housemade seasonal jams! I've tried their raspberry, blackberry, and blueberry! My favorite is the blackberry but it was seasonal! The scones come out warm, and they add butter and jam in the middle. I ask for less butter since it's a large slab of butter. The cashiers have always been patient and nice when we order. For drinks, I've tried their Hojicha Latte, Triple Matcha Latte, Raspberry Matcha Latte, and Matcha Eispanner! My favorites are the Hojicha Latte and Matcha Eispanner! The matcha flavor was earthy and pretty balanced with the salted cream, though I wish it were a little stronger. The Hojicha was more flavorful and delicious compared to the matcha. The Raspberry Matcha Latte was overpowered and little sweet by their housemade jam so I would suggest to ask less jam. Overall, I've been here a couple times, mainly for their scones, to be honest! The drinks are solid, but wish the matcha was a little more flavorful. read more

Another hunt for matcha! Very unassuming cafe almost walked past it Recommended by a friend. The lady who helped us recommended the hot matcha latte and the salted iced matcha latte . Tried their fresh scone with house made raspberry and butter! Yum! Great atmosphere with nice seating area split between two floors. Will definitely return again to try other drinks. read more

Excellent Scones and a Good Iced Vanilla Latte at the corner of Taraval & 21st way out here in the Outer Sunset! PRO TIP: The main entrance is actually up the hill around the corner at a black doorway on 21st Ave! Order within at the counter in the back. Service is prompt and courteous. They shout out your name when your order is ready. For my latte, It's nice that they don't charge extra for substituting oat milk unlike most other coffeehouses Vibe: Jandii reminds me of the libraries at my alma mater.. quiet, airy, lots of maple wood accents and people hunkering down on their laptops, but with caffeine infused beverages in hand! This is a great place to get some work or studying done. Lots of power outlets, though not quite at every seat. The cute tiny yet sturdy metal tables in the upper level cafe area are adjustable in height and suitable for your drinks OR your laptop, but probably not both. There is more seating downstairs with larger fixed tables. Lots of big windows to let the light in. You can even see the L-Taraval light rail trains trundle past. - Easy transit access right out in front. Parking is relatively achievable within the block. My order: Scone w/Jam: By default, all scones come with a slab of butter, but to stay somewhat healthy, I requested the Raspberry Jam and NO butter. The scone was excellent. Moist and crumbly on the inside with a crunchy crust on the outside. The Raspberry Jam was not too sweet either. Definitely one of the better scones I've had. 5/5. Iced Vanilla Latte: On point and enjoyable. Be sure to grab a top for your drink before it spills! It was the perfect complement to the Iced Vanilla Latte. 4.85/5 I'll definitely come back here again when I am "working from home". =) read more

I had been seeing Jandii all over online, so I finally decided to give it a try. I ordered the Raspberry Matcha Latte and the Matcha Einspanner Latte. I normally don't like fruit paired with matcha, but the raspberry matcha actually surprised me. The raspberry added a light fruity flavor without overpowering the matcha, and the two worked together better than I expected. The Matcha Einspanner Latte was also good, although I was expecting the cream top to be a bit thicker. Instead, it's more on the lighter, liquid side rather than the rich, fluffy cream you usually get with an einspanner. It still complemented the matcha well, but it wasn't quite what I was expecting. The café itself is really spacious and has a beautiful interior, making it a great place to study, work, or catch up with friends. The workers were also very helpful when I was trying to decide what to order and were happy to answer my questions. The only downside for me was the price. The drinks are definitely on the expensive side, and after tax my total was almost $9 per drink (the tax alone was around $1.60 or something like that), which is a bit hard to justify. While I enjoyed the drinks, I do think there are other cafés that offer something similar for a little less. I'm glad I tried it because it had been on my list for a while, and I think it's worth visiting at least once, especially if you're looking for a nice place to study. Whether it's worth coming back regularly really depends on whether you're okay spending around $9-10 on a drink. read more

Cute and huge interior but the matcha was not great. The vibes here are nice and the place is incredibly spacious. Lots of people working and chatting on the weekend. There's two levels of seating, lots of natural lighting, and the decor and vibe/branding remind me of Sohn in Dogpatch. It's definitely going to bring lots of traffic to the otherwise quiet-ish area. Although the space is aesthetic, the raspberry matcha latte was unfortunately not good. As I feared based on the other reviews, the matcha was a murky color and it did not taste like matcha at all. It was also quite sweet. The raspberry jam at the bottom had seeds which was an uncomfortable texture to drink. Overall would not recommend this drink -- maybe their einspanner is better? Would probably not order the matcha if I returned but seems like their scones are popular so would try that next time. read more
This building has been vacant for YEARS! I'm thrilled that Taraval is adding even more flavor to the hood. I met with a friend on Friday Juneteenth at 10 AM and the line outside was already about 20 (maybe 30?) people deep. Note: the entrance is around the corner on 21st Ave. From the time I got there to the time we ordered and got our drinks, it was about half an hour. In my opinion, it went by quickly. There is plenty of staff and they are efficient, not to mention helpful and friendly! At this point, they had only been open maybe a couple of weeks? I also went today (Sunday, 7/5) around 11:30AM with my daughter. There was not much of a line. We walked right in. However, the place had plenty of people. Just about every seat was taken. This cafe is unusually spacious. It has tons of natural light and has a very simple, green, clean theme. I absolutely love the iced hojicha einspanner. (Einspanner is a lightly sweetened salted cream)). I ordered it both visits! I also tried the iced matcha einspanner and the iced raspberry matcha. The matcha is delicious. I had to try the signature drink - Jandii oat milk brew on tap. According to the menu, it is "iced espresso, house made salted butter oat milk." Though the flavor was good, it is entirely too sweet for my liking. If you love sweet coffee, this is for you! The fresh baked scone is warm and delicious. It is served with jam (fresh blackberry and raspberry, both equally good, in my opinion) and Irish butter. You have to get it! Am I coming back? Without a doubt. read more
I'm a sucker for new cafes, so I had to check this one out despite knowing there'll be lines. I ordered the Matcha Einspanner. The rich, slightly salty cream foam works well with the earthy matcha flavor. It's good, though honestly, I wouldn't wait in line for it. Also, it's wild that +$10 (after tax and tip) for a small matcha is the new norm. Matcha-flation is real and here to stay. That said, they did an amazing job transforming the interior. It looks like a great spot to camp out and get some work done. I guess you're paying a bit of a premium on the drink for a really nice place to study! read more

3.5 STARS Matcha fatigue. Cafe fatigue. I'm just fatigued with all the new cafes and matcha shops opening in the bay. I'm tired of wasting money on iced milk and swamp water. But... Jandii seemed very promising. They're a new Korean cafe from the owners of Sweet Maple, known for making a solid matcha latte. Sadly, the Matcha Einspänner w/ oat milk ($8.50) was disappointing. It was a murky army green color (oxidized?), while it was astringent and watery tasting. Nice twist with the salted cream, tho it's more like cold foam than a thicc whipped topping. On a positive note, they make a delicious Housebaked Scone ($6.50). Served warm with a slab of butter and your choice of jam (blackberry or raspberry), it's buttery with a moist, tender crumb. Def worth trying. O T H E R I N F O * Beautiful minimalist cafe with plenty of natural lighting, two levels, and jazz playing. Entrance is on 21st Ave. Wheelchair lift available. * Menu: Coffee, matcha, hōjicha, and scone only. After running an errand in the neighborhood I happened across the newest business in the 'hood this morning. Located on the corner of Taraval & 21st Av occupying a vacant storefront that stood unoccupied for 25+ years. What a welcome addition. Pros; * light & airy giving off a minimalist look * an accessible elevator that I actually took down to ground level. Cons: * the front entrance is on 21st Av. You need to climb up the hill. It opened for business this past Tuesday. Ordered- paid at the order counter & provided my name. * the housemade scone. Choice of blackberry or raspberry jam. Boxed to go. Hubby had it at home. Great with the raspberry jam and butter. * hot matcha latte. - I've come to the conclusion I'm not a big fan of matcha. After I got both items I decided I'll drink my latte and bring the scone home for later. The stairs going down were steep. Hence I took the elevator. A staff member assisted me down. Keep your hand on the down button. Once you're on the ground floor let go & the door will open. Kind of fun. There are two areas where you can sit & enjoy yourself. 1) you go up some stairs by order counter and 2) the ground level. I'll go back and try a non Matcha drink next time. read more
Visited around 2pm this past Sunday. Parking is difficult in this area. We drove around a few times and weren't able to find a spot. My bf ended up waiting in the car while I went in to order. Luckily, there was no line. I ordered an Iced Einspanner Latte with oat milk. With tax and tip, the total came out to almost $10, which is quite steep for a 14 oz drink. The price and size were the downsides, but the drink itself was really good. It was creamy and not overly sweet. I also liked the flavor of the coffee. The place itself is spacious. I was pleasantly surprised by the layout. I'm not sure if there are multiple entrances, but I entered from 21st Ave. When you step inside, there's the ordering and coffee-making area. To the left, you can go downstairs or upstairs, where there are tables and chairs. read more
I really wanted to like Jandii but it's just okay. I have gone there twice and got the einspanner latte and the oat brew on tap. Both were way too sweet and creamy. The highlight though was their scone. Freshly made every 15 mins and topped with either homemade blackberry or raspberry jam and a huge slab of irish butter. I would recommend getting the jam and butter on the side. I do want to go back and try their Mont Blanc as I heard that is more balanced but drinks will run you around $9 here. ($7.50+ tax+ sf mandate+ tip!) Overall, a much needed cafe with tons of seating and I'm so glad the space is open again as it sat for many many years. I'm glad there is another option but for the price, I suggest Andytown as their coffee actually tastes like coffee. 3.5 rounded to 4 stars. read more
I was excited to hear that there's a new cafe by my home and that Taraval is being more revived :) This corner place has been shut down for so long that I'm glad it's being put to use and is poppin. I tried a raspberry matcha latte with oat milk. I drink a lot of matcha from different places and unfortunately this one was thicker than I expected/liked. The matcha flavor was rich and I could taste the raspberry blended in but I wish the texture was lighter. It could be that they just opened a week ago from when I tried. I love the vibe inside that there are two floors of tables!!! The decorations are really cute too. It seems like everyone here are students and are working on stuff on their laptops. My favorite thing here are the scones. They have a perfectly crunchy exterior with a soft, warm, buttery interior. They paired great with the blackberry jam and butter. They advertise them as being baked fresh daily, and they definitely taste like it. As for the drinks, I found their signature Jandii Oat Milk Brew on tap to be a bit too sweet and thick for my taste. The matcha and hojicha einspanners were decent, but the scones were the clear standout for me. The staff were friendly and welcoming at the cashier. I also loved the minimalist interior, along with the free Wi-Fi and plenty of space to study. One tip, the entrance to order is on 21st Avenue, not Taraval. read more
| June 25, 2026 | Came by in the afternoon around 3pm and there was only 3 people in front of us and the line moved quickly. The place was still pretty full an hour before closing! We got a hot latte for $6.50, iced vanilla bean latte for $7.50 plus a fresh baked scone with fresh blackberry jam for $6.50. The scone was delicious! It was light, flaky and crunchy where it counted. I would totally get this again and the jam was tasty! I can't wait to try the fresh raspberry option probably tomorrow since we live a few blocks away! Drinks and food came out in a timely manner, was clean, spacious with the first and second floor. First floor was more louder with people and the top floor was surprisingly quiet. Minimalistic decor but it works for this spot! read more

Stopped by for a hojicha and it was really good! I was impressed! There was a lot of space inside and lots of people working. It seems like a pretty hot spot right now so hopefully in the future I can visit and find a spot to sit and enjoy my drink! read more
Huge new cafe spot in the sunset. I ordered the triple matcha latte and my sister got the hojicha einspanner. Personally wasn't a fan of my drink because of the matcha quality and I'm not sure what was triple about it since it looked and tasted like a regular matcha latte but my sister liked hers. Another day, another new cafe opening in San Francisco. Jandii is a new cafe opening in Sunset neighborhood on Taraval St. The cafe has a funky layout and is located on 2 floors. The place is nicely decorated with plenty of spots to sit and do work. The cafe focuses on coffee and matcha. Today, I tried their vanilla bean latte. The drink was ok, nothing special. The drink wasn't too sweet but the coffee felt kind of weak imo. In fact, I was surprised there were coffee residuals at the bottom of my cup. The pastry options were limited as well, offering just one kind of scone. Hope they provide more options in the future. read more
Yummy drinks as well as the warm scone! I tried the oat milk brew on tap and it was super unique, but both the brew and matcha were a little gritty! Scone was SO delicious. People definitely stay and work so seats fill up very fast. You'll likely not get a spot during weekends or peak hours. But wifi was actually strong! read more
We first saw this spot a few days ago and saw a Long line. Passed by it and realized it was a matcha coffee shop! Huge corner location with a lot of room for people to hang out and chill with a laptop or a great book. It seems this place was really meant to be for solo hangouts and tasks as not a lot of people came in groups. The place was clean and welcoming! Nice soft lights and beautiful minimalistic displays. Bathroom was clean and accessible. Lots of steps to get to upper and lower tables/chairs but there's a closed section on the lower side that might allow ADA. So we came in Sunday morning as there was no line. We were greeted by staff at the register and were educated on the menu in great detail. It mainly consists Iced/hot matcha and coffee drinks. The hojicha matcha I had was amazing! Lightly sweetened and was elegantly flavored with oat milk. I was charged $8 for this beautiful drink but I honestly think it was worth it. I definitely won't splurge on this everyday, but a nice Sunday treat makes it worth the enjoyment. The scone was exceptional in my personal opinion! It was toasted warm, butter melting and a fork helped me enjoy those crunchy corners and soft insides that have the butter mixing with the blackberry bits. They only have 2 flavors: blackberry and raspberry. Size was perfect for two to share, but I would probably want to get both scones just so I can enjoy and savor it with my drink. Overall you cannot go wrong and I think it's worth a try! I highly recommend! read more
I can here to do some writing while I ordered a matcha latte and a scone with raspberry jam. The raspberry jam was a bit sweet for my liking but it was super buttery and warm. I that's was decent but not my favorite. This space is super open and aesthetic and a great place to hang out for a bit. The staff were friendly as well! read more

OMG the hot vanilla bean latte is the most delicious latte I have ever had. I will dream about this latte! Don't change a thing about it! Worth the $7+. The space is open and welcoming and the line moves fast. Staff was warm and was working hard to get drinks out. Can't wait to go back. Great addition to the neighborhood. read more
3.5/5 Space amazing & scones are yummy but I fear the drinks are not it. They are super spacious with multiple tables and a standing area. My friend and I ordered the Iced Triple Matcha Latte, Einspanner Latte, and Fresh Baked Scones w/ Fresh Blackberry Jam & Fresh Raspberry Jam. The drinks felt too milky or too artificial but the scones were yummy and perfectly crispy. I would come for the vibes but try other drinks. read more

The location is in such a nice area, and the inside of the shop is beautiful. I love the merchandise! My daughter ordered a matcha drink, and she absolutely loved it. She'll definitely be coming back once school starts with her teammates. After their games this fall season, they're always looking for a nice place to hang out, and this is the perfect spot. read more
