Summer Peach Peach (I think...) One with added lychee jelly +Mona Lisa
Gwyneth C.

Me and my friend ordered Summer Peach Peach (I think) and my friend added lychee jelly to hers. I ordered on Kiosk, but the ladies were super nice! It's an extremely cozy little space with plenty of options to choose from, foods and drinks. The drink was delicious! It tastes just like peach. But since it was a really hot day, the slush melted pretty quickly... Still tasted good though of course. The peach jelly was super soft and was very subtle. I maybe would substitute it though with lychee jelly because I like the crunch. And the whole peach... I didn't realize it was a peach for a while, but in my opinion I didn't think it tasted like a peach. I thought it was maybe pudding at first But it's so hard to describe what it tasted like... My favorite was the whipped cream on top. I thought it perfectly paired the peach slushie. Definitely would come back but I want to try more different things. I would totally recommend Summer Peach Peach (I think) to anybody who LOVESSS peaches, like me and my friend (It's her favorite drink).

Mango coconut jasmine tea

The interior is so cute--love the bar stools, the logo on the wall, and all the little figurines everywhere! I used their tablet to order the mango coconut with jasmine tea, and it was delicious. The mix of sago balls, coconut jelly, and mango puree was spot on. Plus, there's plenty of parking right outside! The server was nice when giving my drink.

I was craving milk tea after taking a Pilates class in the area, and stopped by. This place is really cute! Located in an area with metered parking, seems like a nice local spot. My drink didn't take too long once I ordered! I ordered the Osmanthus Coconut Rice Milk Tea, and unfortunately I didn't like it. Too floral for me, I should've went with a regular milk tea or tried their fruit drinks. I'd love to come back to try something else!

Creme brûlée mango pomelo sago
Ellen L.

I dropped by for an after-lunch drink and got the creme brûlée mango pomelo sago. There were only three other people's orders ahead of me so I waited less than ten minutes. I was slightly disappointed by the drink because I could only taste mango and sweet milk, but no pomelo flavor. Also, the sago was a bit hard instead of chewy and bouncy. I'd come back to try out their tea drinks, hoping those might be more their specialty!

I've ordered drinks from here many times because they are on the Hungry Panda App that gives you discounts for this place. They have 0.99 deals sometimes too, look at my photo! The drinks are well made and I love the cute sleeves they use lol. I'm a sucker for cute packaging

Cherry Green Tea with Popping Boba + Thai Tea with Boba

While YY might not be the best boba shop around, I do like their extensive menu, toppings, and non-caffeinated drink options. They have a good selection of different teas, along with fruit flavors and unique Asian toppings like mini taro ball, popping water nut, popping barley, purple rice that you don't often find as other boba shops. Service is always friendly at this small mom and pop shop so I do appreciate supporting local businesses. They have a nice snack menu too for those that go to school or tutoring near by. Consistency can sometimes be hit or missed in terms of their boba. I have had some that are nice and chewy and a couple of times where it was undercooked. Overall, it's not a deal breaker and if you like variety, this is a good shop that comes to mind whenever you're around Ocean Ave.

This place is awesome. The boba selection is just authentically good. They're friendly and quick. There's a few seats and paid parking in front. It's right off 19th Avenue.

My dad came across this place on TGTG and wanted to try it out! When we arrived, the drinks were made fresh. We ended up getting a thai tea and a peach oolong milk tea. The thai tea was pretty strong and had good flavor but the peach oolong tea flavor was a bit lighter. The surprise bag was $5 for 2 drinks so overall pretty worth it. Drinks were decent but i've had better. Service was great, she was quick with making the drinks and the shop was cute, but a little small.

hk lemon black tea

Stopped by YY Coffee & Milk Tea to try their Hong Kong-style lemon black tea, but was pretty disappointed. Instead of lemons, they used limes, which gave the drink a bitter, off-tasting flavor that wasn't anything like classic HK lemon tea. The tea itself was strong, but the balance just wasn't there. That said, they do have a huge menu with tons of options, so maybe I just picked the wrong drink. I might come back to try something else, but if you're looking for authentic HK lemon tea, this might not be the place. only one worker but good service! cute vibe.

Cute little boba shop, perfect for the neighborhood. The drinks were decent, I liked the mochi in my drink it was a fun texture. The crème brûlée drink was ok, needed more crunchy sugar.

Lovely boba shop on Ocean!! They offer a large variety of drinks. My favorites are the summer peach peach and osmanthus coco oolong milk tea with glutinous rice. We also tried their taro milk tea, but their taro flavor was not as strong as we preferred. Service is quick (about 5 min) and staff were kind. They offer a stamp card promotion for any regular customers, which is 9 drinks for 1 free drink. Indoor seating is limited so would definitely plan on taking your order to-go!

Small coffee and milk tea shop on Ocean Avenue. Kiosk ordering available. Lots of milk tea (hot/iced), fruit teas, and coffee options. We tried crème brûlée brown sugar slush with boba, Thai tea with boba, and milk tea with boba. All were just ok. Boba was a bit too firm. We were part of a larger order it took awhile. Memberships available. Might make more sense if we lived in the area.

The cutest new boba shop! Probably one of my top spots now. The drinks ordered were so good and love the cute cup sleeves (?). We will be back for sure!

Like everywhere else in SF, you have to pay for street parking but it's free after 6pm! The vibes inside are of a typical coffee shop and there is a good amount of tables and seats! The barista makes each drink one at a time, so it could take a while to order and get your drinks, but it just shows that they are very intentional with their drinks! I was super excited to find out that Ballast Coffee is actually a Filipino coffee shop that serves Barako Coffee, which I believe they source from the Philippines. They also sell barako bean roast blends for $20 in case you wanted to make it at home! Since they use Filipino barako beans, I had to order their Ube iced latte and Ube hot chocolate! The coffee had a slightly fruity yet chocolatey undertone that made it really delicious with the Ube! I do think that the coffee had a lighter taste to it, so it let the ube taste stand out more. My favorite was the Ube hot chocolate because it was super decadent and warming! I'll definitely be back at Ballast Coffee to study more and to also try their Ube Mocha as well as other drinks!

The empanada wasn't heated long enough and the inside was still a bit cold. There were cubes of beef inside but I didn't think it had enough seasoning. Wouldn't order the beef empanada again. The ube lattes were OK but I think their regular coffee drinks taste better. It's a nice place to meet with a friend or two and have coffee and a conversation if you ca. get table seating not occupied by people with their PCs for hours.

Today I dropped our recently senior rescued dog for his first grooming for us. I came upon an "Old Friend" Java on Ocean Coffee. The café is at the corner or Ocean Avenue and Faxon across the street from the former Walgreens which means amble parking! Java On Ocean Coffee is a classic San Francisco coffee place which has much more than coffee to order. There is a selection of savory breakfast items, sandwiches and smoothie! Given it was after 3 pm I ordered a Mexican Mocha and an oatmeal cookie. The café was fairly packed with nearby Riodan High School students studying about American history "New Deal" with great enthusiasm and laughter! There are 15 tables and plenty of seating including several outside but given the May gray day I cozyed under a poster of famous Mexican artist Frieda to drink my Mexican Mocha today. I look forward to future exploring Ocean Avenue including getting a smoothie or sandwich at the café!
