Got some drinks after dinner~ got myself a matcha latte and my partner got the guava jasmine lemon tea. The matcha is perfectttt, very rich and savory. Just wish the size was a little bigger. I can't remember if they have multiple size options or not.
Dropped into YY COFFEE & TEA on Ocean Avenue, off 19th Avenue while running errands. Cute little coffee and espresso drinks, juices and sodas, with some snacks. Some bar seating along the wall, more of a take and go place. One person handling everything, she was very nice and friendly. Opted for a CAPPUCCINO that was hot, fragrant, hit the spot! I'll be back when in the neighborhood.

The tea was absolutely amazing , great thirst quencher. The service is fast and reliable. The place is clean and nicely decorated. Price friendly., I recommend checking them out for a good treat.

I ordered a passionfruit pineapple bubble tea from the in-store kiosk for a hit of caffeine before brunch, or technically, lunch. I opted for 25% ice and 50% sweetness, but it was actually too sweet. I think 25% sweetness would've been plenty for this drink. Good to note for next time. Service was pretty efficient even with only one person working the counter. The store was small but warm and cozy.
I was craving milk tea after taking a Pilates class in the area, and stopped by. This place is really cute! Located in an area with metered parking, seems like a nice local spot. My drink didn't take too long once I ordered! I ordered the Osmanthus Coconut Rice Milk Tea, and unfortunately I didn't like it. Too floral for me, I should've went with a regular milk tea or tried their fruit drinks. I'd love to come back to try something else!
I like the kiosk at the door to place your order. I was greeted when I walked in. That's always a good sign. I ordered the brown sugar boba milk tea. It gave absolutely everything it was suppose to and more. They have so many different teas I think it's a must to try a new one. There's metered parking on front and muni stops on the side. There's also street parking. It's a cute place inside.
The interior is so cute--love the bar stools, the logo on the wall, and all the little figurines everywhere! I used their tablet to order the mango coconut with jasmine tea, and it was delicious. The mix of sago balls, coconut jelly, and mango puree was spot on. Plus, there's plenty of parking right outside! The server was nice when giving my drink.

I was slightly disappointed by the drink because I could only taste mango and sweet milk, but no pomelo flavor. Also, the sago was a bit hard instead of chewy and bouncy. I'd come back to try out their tea drinks, hoping those might be more their specialty!
Me and my friend ordered Summer Peach Peach (I think) and my friend added lychee jelly to hers. I ordered on Kiosk, but the ladies were super nice! It's an extremely cozy little space with plenty of options to choose from, foods and drinks. The drink was delicious! It tastes just like peach. But since it was a really hot day, the slush melted pretty quickly... Still tasted good though of course. The peach jelly was super soft and was very subtle. I maybe would substitute it though with lychee jelly because I like the crunch. And the whole peach... I didn't realize it was a peach for a while, but in my opinion I didn't think it tasted like a peach. I thought it was maybe pudding at first But it's so hard to describe what it tasted like... My favorite was the whipped cream on top. I thought it perfectly paired the peach slushie. Definitely would come back but I want to try more different things. I would totally recommend Summer Peach Peach (I think) to anybody who LOVESSS peaches, like me and my friend (It's her favorite drink).
I've ordered drinks from here many times because they are on the Hungry Panda App that gives you discounts for this place. They have 0.99 deals sometimes too, look at my photo! The drinks are well made and I love the cute sleeves they use lol. I'm a sucker for cute packaging

The order kiosk was not operating. The boba was not acceptable, taro was a big gluey chunks. Tea tastes water down. They were out of egg waffles and other drinks. The person working there wasn't happy to be there. She seemed way too stressed out. I like ambiance, the small plant pots that the sell for $1. I think the personal touches that the owner has put into it including and the lucky cat gifting candies. read more

This is literally my favorite boba spot in SF, with an arguably close second of Quaters/Momo Tea. Their tea taste is very floral, fragrant, and fresh without a hint of bitterness or processed tea taste. Parking can get tough in the area, and wait times may be longer than expected if there is a small line. I ordered a camelia milk tea with tea and lychee jelly, and it's probably one of the most floral teas I've had, arguably on par with molly tea. I found 75% sweetness to be perfect read more
I Decided to give them a try again. I got a watermelon slush with crystal boba. The crystal bobas are better than regular gummy boba which can be hard and too chewy. These were like chewing balls of jelly. I saw her put fresh watermelon chunks into a blender for my drink. I got less sugar and the drink wasn't that sweet. I think she added cream into the drink but I didn't try the beverage until I got home and it had globs of white tofu-like consistency in the drink and a huge glob at the bottom. Not happy with that. They also place a waxy paper over the drink then the lid which didn't seal it well. So, the second drink I for hubby, a classic milk tea, started to flow over into the bag and cup container holding it. Would have been a huge mess if I hadn't caught it early. His milk tea tasted good though using soy milk. read more

Me and my friend ordered Summer Peach Peach (I think) and my friend added lychee jelly to hers. I ordered on Kiosk, but the ladies were super nice! While YY might not be the best boba shop around, I do like their extensive menu, toppings, and non-caffeinated drink options. They have a good selection of different teas, along with fruit flavors and unique Asian toppings like mini taro ball, popping water nut, popping barley, purple rice that you don't often find as other boba shops. Service is always friendly at this small mom and pop shop so I do appreciate supporting local businesses. They have a nice snack menu too for those that go to school or tutoring near by. Consistency can sometimes be hit or missed in terms of their boba. I have had some that are nice and chewy and a couple of times where it was undercooked. Overall, it's not a deal breaker and if you like variety, this is a good shop that comes to mind whenever you're around Ocean Ave. read more

My dad came across this place on TGTG and wanted to try it out! When we arrived, the drinks were made fresh. We ended up getting a thai tea and a peach oolong milk tea. The thai tea was pretty strong and had good flavor but the peach oolong tea flavor was a bit lighter. The surprise bag was $5 for 2 drinks so overall pretty worth it. Drinks were decent but i've had better. Service was great, she was quick with making the drinks and the shop was cute, but a little small. read more

Stopped by YY Coffee & Milk Tea to try their Hong Kong-style lemon black tea, but was pretty disappointed. Instead of lemons, they used limes, which gave the drink a bitter, off-tasting flavor that wasn't anything like classic HK lemon tea. The tea itself was strong, but the balance just wasn't there. That said, they do have a huge menu with tons of options, so maybe I just picked the wrong drink. I might come back to try something else, but if you're looking for authentic HK lemon tea, this might not be the place. only one worker but good service! cute vibe. read more

Lovely boba shop on Ocean!! They offer a large variety of drinks. My favorites are the summer peach peach and osmanthus coco oolong milk tea with glutinous rice. We also tried their taro milk tea, but their taro flavor was not as strong as we preferred. Service is quick (about 5 min) and staff were kind. They offer a stamp card promotion for any regular customers, which is 9 drinks for 1 free drink. Indoor seating is limited so would definitely plan on taking your order to-go! read more

We tried crème brûlée brown sugar slush with boba, Thai tea with boba, and milk tea with boba. All were just ok. Boba was a bit too firm. We were part of a larger order it took awhile. Memberships available. Might make more sense if we lived in the area. read more
My Cup of Tea has some serious competition! We came by on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty empty. We were the only ones in the shop for about 2 minutes before a small line began to form. Since this was my first time, I decided to defer to their Top Ten drinks and got the "Belgium Biscuit Brown Sugar Milk Tea". I honestly think the Belgium biscuit is similar to a Bischoff but didn't want to give a brand to them. It was really good! I really enjoyed my drink. Perfectly sweet for me (got 100% sweet) but honestly, I think you need to get 100% ice which is something I never really suggest but their boba is FRESH and HOT! Instantly melted my ice LOL. Their boba is nice and chewy, has a great QQ to it. There is QUITE a bit of boba so the ratio is a bit off BUT I didn't super mind it. It was nice and creamy but more sweet than it was a "milk tea" where they tend to be a bit bitter. Can't wait to come back and try their other drinks! read more

I had a pleasant experience going to YY Coffee & Tea in my most recent visit. I felt bad being THAT customer that came in 10 minutes before closing which is a pain I felt before. Still the service was still good and the ordering process is easy since they have a kiosk at the entrance. The inside is really cozy and well decorated. I ordered the Belgian Biscuit Brown Sugar Milk Tea w/ Boba ($6.50). This drink was pretty sweet at 75%, but to be fair thats my fault for choosing a brown sugar drink and getting it at a higher sweetness. The drink was still good and the belgian biscuit really does have an affect on the flavor of the drink. They have a lot more unique drinks than this on their menu so I would have to try the rest of their menu to really get a better feel of this boba shop. I liked the flavor of the tea here and it did not taste watered down at all. I'm definitely coming back again to try what else they have to offer and it is located in a convenient location surrounded by plenty of good restaurants. Street parking isn't too bad especially on weekdays regardless of the time. read more

4.5 STARS Persimmon season is like pumpkin spice season for ABGs and AZN aunties. Yet, few places incorporate persimmons into their menu. YY Coffee & Milk Tea opened in August 2023. I've lost track but they're the third or fourth boba shop to open in this location since the pandemic. I happen to be browsing through menus when YY Coffee & Milk Tea caught my attention....Persimmon Coconut Milk Smoothie! I believe this may be only place in the city where you'll find a persimmon based drink. Otherwise, you'll have to trek to one of the Tong Sui locations in the Peninsula & South Bay for seasonal persimmon drinks and desserts. They're open everyday starting at 8:30 AM (!) for takeout and delivery. And, they're on bunch of apps: DoorDash, UberEats, Fantuan, HungryPanda, etc. Not on Snackpass tho. They're short-staffed with only person working so I highly recommend ordering ahead. MealKeyway seems to the only one with no upcharges. M E N U Aside from the usual milk tea, brown sugar, fruit tea series, they have some unique offerings like ovaltine, fruit coffee lattes (hello, durian!), and seasonal specials like the persimmon coconut milk smoothie. For those with a sweet tooth, they have decadent drinks with crème brûlée tops or a ferrero rocher milk tea. Affordable prices: $3.75-$6.25. No dairy alternatives. Toppings: boba, taro balls, grass jelly, red bean, purple rice, sea salt foam, barley boba, oats, etc. (50 cents each). You'll have to call to confirm but I believe boba is available *after* 11 am. Suggestion to owner: List ingredients in the kiosk menu and online menus. And, denote non-caffeinated items. D R I N K * Persimmon Coconut Milk Smoothie ($5.95) --Requested 25% sweet Creamy smooth and frothy with fresh, ripen persimmons adding a mild sweetness and cinnamon undertones. Not stated on the menu but there were coconut jellies which were sweet but not too sweet with a chewy QQ bite. I thought it was a non-caffeinated drink but I tasted a hint of floral bitterness. Not sure if there was a splash of jasmine tea? 25% sweet was perfect...it was a refreshing drink but not sweet to the point, it was dessert-like. Some shops are charging $7.95 for similar drinks so this was a good value. * Cherry Green Tea ($5.95) --Requested 75% sweet I bought this for a friend who likes sweet(er) drinks and they liked it just fine. S E R V I C E Contactless ordering via one kiosk. When I visited there was no line (weekday around 2:30 pm) so my drinks were ready in about 10-12 minutes. A M B I A N C E Compact space with pencil drawn anime mural and knick knacks throughout. Mainly a takeout shop but there's several stools available. P A R K I N G Easy metered and residential parking. Overall, I know I only tried one drink but the persimmon coconut milk smoothie was hella solid and something I would order regularly order. Chinese bubble tea shops are fun..but they are so mean to me...then you ask for a points reward card...then you pay $10 for a drink....fun promotion for holiday...I happened to be in the area near 19th and found this wonderful post flyer...I decided to go and enjoy the program with the community...near Junipero Serra Blvd...train stations...settlement says that we celebrate Christmas..since 1936...Chinese Asian tea house...I got a cold brew..$5 promotion..with milk and sweetener...don't you know that? I have visited this street...there's a short list to go see and visit a few times...there are homes since World War I...good community...holidays! read more

I noticed there was a new boba/coffee shop in my neighborhood so I had to check this place out! I've only been here for coffee, so I can only attest to their coffee. Inside there is a kiosk that you can order from, but you can also order at the cash register. I've only came here in the morning so it wasn't too busy! The inside is small but very cozy. There is only a couple of bar stool seat facing a wall so do not expect to hang out here with a large group of people. I went here a couple times and I've tried the Coconut Iced Latte, Ovaltine coffee Latte, and the Jasmine Green Tea Coffee Latte with Oat milk. You have an option to adjust your sweetest and ice level. All their drinks were great and not too sweet (the highest form of asian compliment). My favorite is definitely the Coconut Iced Latte which uses coconut milk so it is lactose intolerant friendly! The coconut flavor was perfect where you don't think it's too overpowering but also strong enough to taste it! This place might be my new go to coffee shop! The service was also pretty good and the drinks are great but it is pretty pricey. read more
