    Puttanesca crepe
    Bryant C.

The kind of place you just don't see anymore. A true one man show. Came on a Thursday morning for a late breakfast - you order up front with the only guy there and then you find a seat. Cash only or venmo. When it gets busy, the order can take a bit of time, but with this, patience is a virtue and really, it is just one guy and he's super nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The spot is a small, cozy place for a nice small brunch with a few friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] FOOD: All crepes that I've tried here are pretty dang good. Each one with a side of a simple garden salad that helps lighten up your plate and a nice serving of potatoes that are your standard breakfast potatoes but done well. Crepe itself is light and crispy, each filled with a very solid amount of well thought out combination of fillings that are each cooked to perfection. Most recently I had the puttanesca, which was served with a side of sour cream. This combination of flavors with the cheese, mushrooms, and sour cream was an excellent way to start my day. I've also had the curry crepe as well which is also an interesting combination but overall delicious as well. A bit more depth of flavor with the curry. Overall, a super cute place to have a nice brunch. The owner is super kind and does a great job with this place. I will definitely be back - see you there.

Absolutely delicious! Out of this world, service is so sweet, the man is the host/ cook/barista/ and server! Expeditious, efficient and the craziest part his memory! He had multiple orders and (not that I saw) were written down. The crepes were so special, we got the blintz, and the Banana, strawberry, Nutella. We also had the Borgia coffee, hot chocolate and the cappuccino. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's nice and peaceful ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Must come and have a nice slow morning

I stumbled upon the cafe one day and only got a bagel with cream cheese and coffee. I returned the following week to try a crepe. Great decision. The man behind the counter does it all and was professional handling multiple orders at once. Please be patient waiting for food. I ordered the chicken delight crepe. Presentation was lovely and the side salad was a nice touch. This savory crepe was delicious and filling. I would definitely return to try something new. Ps. Cash or Venmo only.

It's seems the parks in San Francisco are good places to eat. Although my neighborhood has some dog parks where the dogs eat there is a park that also attracts us humans and it's also a neighborhood park. In the Glen Park neighborhood in San Francisco you will find a spot where the neighbors congregate to grab espressos along with their delicious crepes at Higher Grounds Coffee House. I acknowledge that the internet and social media still exist but I kept this spot under wraps like a crepe for years. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is limited seating on the weekends and it's the neighborhood original IYKYK spot in San Francisco which closes by 3pm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I usually have their vegetarian pesto crepe which had mushrooms , pesto feta and jack cheese and it's so tasty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the walls to the roof this spot is filled with lots of charm. First the roof inside is covered with real coffee bags. The walls have interesting art of local San Francisco businesses[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . [[HIGHLIGHT]]The good vibes here is a reflection of the neighborhood.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's a hidden gem on Chenery and the cross street of Diamond. Whether you are around the diamond of Oracle Park or at the Glen Park neighborhood on Diamond street there are good drinks and food gems at the parks of San Francisco. Higher Ground Coffee House is where " a little nice place to eat" is their manifesto and where you can start the day off with a cup of espresso You can eat inside, take it to go in a box or eat it al fresco, I recommend the crepe with feta and jack cheese , mushroom with pesto

Rating this place pretty highly. I ordered the pesto mushroom crepe and it was incredible. The mushrooms were cooked to absolute perfection, melty cheese and the boldest pesto flavor. Couldn't have asked for a better crepe. The potato's were soft boiled, instead of crispy but still very good. I've truly never had a side salad like the one that comes with the savory crepes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall the aesthetic is gorgeous, rustic, vintage, classic[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], the service is friendly and the food is incredible. Highly recommend

I love this cafe with all my heart. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The chef was super attentive and wonderful. I got the salsa crepe with a latte and my goodness it was so delicious. I love this cafe!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Delicious hot off the grill savory crepes and sweet crepes in a cozy, rustic cabin feel like restaurant with large windows to people watch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Portions are huge and cooked and served with lots of love.

Homey local cafe situated in the corner. Feels like being in some grandparents' home; the owner is a one man show who does everything - order, cook, clean. I had a savory crepe which comes with small potatoes and green salad. Wonderful visit to soak in the neighborhood flavor.

Chai Latte - 2 stars. This was over-sweetened, & had no foam/texture. Thu lunch 2023-12-21

Cute local spot. My food was good, but my chai latte was not great. THE WAIT None on the Thursday before Christmas at 10:30am. There is seating for maybe 14 people inside, and my friend and I got the last table for two. THE SERVICE One sweet old man taking orders and making everything. The food took a while but it was totally understandable! THE COST $21.85 total including tax/tip for a chai latte and crepe. You can pay on Venmo and add in separate tip. THE FOOD * Chai Latte - 2 stars This was over-sweetened (coming from a sweet tooth), and there was no foam or texture. Not worth getting this. * Blintz Crepe - 3.5 stars Great crepe and ricotta cheese. The strawberries weren't fresh (either canned or frozen/thawed).

We shared both the Boeuf Bourguignon and the Champagnarde Galette and both were wonderful. The presentation on both were elegant and appetizing. The flavors and textured worked well in both dishes and the portions were satisfying. My boyfriend also ordered a glass of wine he enjoyed. It's been a while since I had a good crepe, maybe the last time was when I was in France, and this one brought back those memories. The crepe itself was thin and soft, folded up with warm Nutella and fresh banana inside, topped with walnuts, with a dollop of whipped cream on the side. The walnuts gave it a nice bit of crunch, and the whipped cream added just the right touch of extra sweetness without going overboard. Simple yet good. The fruit cup was a nice balance too, all fresh fruit, nothing out of season. If you're looking for a tasty crepe, check this place out. I'll be curious how their savory ones taste as well.

Even on a weeknight, there was a line of eager kids (and adults) waiting for their freshly made crepes and ice cream. There were so many ice cream + crepe + fruit combos to choose from, but the strawberry kiwi crepe sounded refreshing. While I waited for my order to be prepared, I browsed the mini mart and was amused by the array of unique Asian snacks and trinkets. About ten minutes later, my crepe was served warm and stuffed with several scoops of ice cream, fresh kiwi slices, and a mountain of whipped cream. I appreciated the generous serving of fresh kiwi and how the crepes were able to hold everything together without leaking into a sticky mess. I wish the ice cream had been higher quality, though. While the strawberry ice cream was a fun neon-pink color, the texture was thin, and the flavor tasted cloyingly sweet. Genki Crepes are known to be thinner, crispier, and more savory than the French-style crepes, so I think they are best suited to these types of extravagant ice cream creations. Definitely worth a try!

I asked for another bowl just for the lettuce alone and it filled up another bowl. Which left me w/the skimpiest of ingredients I have ever seen. Plus the romaine lettuce was in huge chunks incuding the core of the lettuce. There was a tiny side of tortilla strips and I asked for the tortilla on the side, glad I did.
