Considering the price point and the size, it felt a bit expensive. To be fair, it's a specialty syrup drink, and I did substitute oat milk, so the cost makes sense. Still, I know other places that offer a slightly larger size for around the same price. My drink tasted a little watered down, but not so much that it ruined the flavor. I could still taste the brown sugar and toffee nut notes. I just wish the espresso flavor came through a bit stronger. On the bright side, I love that they use Califia Barista Oat Milk! SERVICE: 10/10 The staff were very friendly and charismatic, which added to the cheerful morning vibes... loved that! Cute coffee shop that's perfect for hanging out, working, or studying. There's a decent amount of tables and chairs in the shop. I came yesterday around 1:30pm. It was a quiet Saturday afternoon and the shop wasn't busy when I came. I ordered and got my drink within a few minutes of being there. Staff was nice and service was quick. I ordered a 16 oz Pandan Latte with almond milk. I asked for a little less sweet but I should've gone with half sweet instead. The drink was still a little too sweet for me. I was really excited to try this spot but it fell a little flat and in all honesty I think it did so because of the almond milk. I ordered a seasonal iced earl grey matcha and a pandan latte both with almond milk (my usual choice). The earl grey matcha was a really good base! But, the quality and flavor of the almond milk took over. Similarly, the coffee was almost mostly almond milk flavor. I should have asked but I'd be really curious what almond milk brand is used. I could only recommend this place to someone if they were not ordering almond milk. I had a brief interaction with the staff and she was very helpful and friendly. Blue House Cafe is a small cafe on the boarder of San Francisco and Daly City. I came in today and even on a rainy day there was a decent amount of people there doing work and enjoying the space. This seams like a great place to do work or study, it is very quiet and provides a great atmosphere. They sell very unique drinks and pastries. When I arrived, they provided samples of their original and ube mochi. They also sold pasties and homemade musubis! I got the lavender ube matcha. A local neighborhood coffee shop. Parking was not that convenient here but I was able to find something a block away. Coming in, I was in the mood for an herbal tea, and when I asked the barista what options they had for herbal tea, she said Earl Grey, English Breakfast, or Jasmine. None of these are herbal tea so when I asked again, she said they were out. I decided to get a small cup of Jasmine tea which cost close to $4 - inflation is really getting out of hand. Overall, the rest of their menu was on the smaller end and they only had a small glass case of a couple different kinds of pastries to choose from. A quaint and welcoming cafe located between Crocker and Ingleside. I love that there is ample of parking nearby. The baristas are all super sweet and friendly. Errands and readings from my astrology sign (Aries) led me to the college district of urban America. Across train tracks and under a pre-school is where she sits... Blue House Café was not on my mind last night or was it this cosmic morning, but a drive across town and a couple morning errands later I find myself here. A quick check on Yelp and comfort knowing my Yelp friends loved her was reason enough for me to slide in. I feel a strong vibe here... as I enter the aesthetically pleasing "coffee shop" with lots of natural sunlight. I immediately think of how wonderful this place is for students (10% off) and remote workers. Feng shui, space, and free WiFi! I am the first customer of the day as I am warmly greeted by the Barista. She smiles and said I look familiar which is odd cause I'm not in Barcelona lol. As I peruse, while she eagerly answers any questions, I choose a cup of Cappuccino... for bites Coconut Mochi and Urban Scone (cheese). I decide to enjoy inside as I had the entire place to myself! Almost.. as some college students trickle in. I have a very pleasant and oddly familiar chat with the inquisitive Barista foaming my Cappuccino. She randomly mentions how her dream is to visit Amsterdam one day, as I smile and said I just came back from Amsterdam. I gave her my take and advised her to travel the world! To live your life! The Coconut Mochi good just no oomph, the Urban Scone was okay, on the drier side, but obvious baked in-house. I was told both were baked by the shop owner. No worries, I've had worse lol. In this lifetime, I would recommend Blue House Café if the stars align. I easily found street parking and the Muni trains pass. The waitress said couple things I like to hear. The coffee is going to take couple minutes as it is just brewing, this means it is fresh. Do you want to the crossiant to be heated up, warm food. First time here. My usual spot in Pacifica was closed so I found something new. This had 4 1/2 stars so I was expecting good things. It is located in a part of the City where I never go. It was very quiet on Randolph St on this Friday after Thanksgiving. I got a parking place in front. There was no one in line and a few people enjoying their beverages inside. It has a nice feel to it. I ordered my usual - a triple espresso. The very nice young barista told me that their coffee comes from Sightglass and that it's a medium roast. Why can't I find places with a dark roast? For being a medium roast, I thoroughly enjoyed my post surfing espresso. I have no idea what else they serve there, but I will definitely return. read more
