    Strawberry Matcha Cheezo

I don't know if it's because this used to be a Quickly for so many years, but, for whatever reason, Teazo never seems to come to mind when I think of milk tea joints on this side of city. Even when we've found ourselves eating at nearby restaurants along Taraval, my brain would still default to one of the spots on Irving or by 9th Ave. As such, it has felt more than a little random that we've ended up here so many times these last few months with entirely different circles of friends! Compared to when this was a Quickly (possibly the same owners, but now rebranded/independent), Teazo is a marked improvement for the neighborhood. Besides just not being a chain, the vibe of this place feels livelier (they have several tables inside, which is kind of rare for boba shops) and the menu is far more unique. In addition to your typical sorts of milk teas, fruit teas, and snacks, they also have drinks featuring their specialty "cheezo" (salty cream cheese), creme brulee and tiramisu flavored drinks, desserts, and even souffle pancakes! -- POPCORN CHICKEN Ehh. While the portion is fairly generous, the popcorn chicken was just okay. The chicken itself was moist and piping hot, but the batter wasn't that crispy and didn't have all that much seasoning on it. -- BLACK SESAME MOCHI LATTE - Toasted Sesame with Housemade Milk Mochi and Cream Not sure if this is a seasonal offering (haven't seen it since), but this was pretty good. The black sesame in this was great (just a touch of nuttiness) and I liked the mochi in this was really nice. -- STRAWBERRY MATCHA CHEEZO - Strawberry and Milk Layers Topped with Matcha Cheezo Ironically, the description of this didn't sound that great, but this was actually terrific! This had just the right sweetness (50%) and I liked that the strawberry, matcha, and cheezo flavors didn't overwhelm each other. -- OREO MILK TEA - Signature Milk Tea Twisted with Puff Cream and Topped with Crushed Oreos As good as this sounded, it was a miss for me. Not because it tasted "bad" or anything, but because it didn't taste like Oreos at all. Rather, it was more like a thin milk tea with Oreo chocolate bits on top. -- FRIED OCTOPUS I sure I wish I had learned from the Popcorn Chicken because this was just not good. Not only was this underseasoned, but both the batter and the octopus itself were super dry/overcooked. Hard pass. Similar to how what we've tried has gone over so differently, how long it has taken for our orders to be made has been just as varied. The times that we've been here on Friday and Saturday nights, even when it has been mildly busy, orders seem to come out relatively fast. Yet, when we stopped by in the dead of a Sunday afternoon, without any customers there ahead of us, it took a curiously long time for our one drink to be made. Granted, they might have been working on online orders, but I can't imagine there could've been that many. Considering how we've had far more luck with Teazo's drinks, especially their Strawberry Matcha Cheezo, I'd probably just stick with that if/when we come here again. Plus, I like how they have so many outlets/USB ports available for folks to charge their devices. However, while I wouldn't be opposed to trying one of their dessert options, like their souffle pancakes and brown sugar mochi, I can't say the same for their savory snacks.

The Bay Area is filled with boba and snack shops so what stands out here at Teazo? Salty Caramelmisu Cake $12.99 -- this was amazingly creamy, salty, crunchy, rich and little sweet Crispy Popcorn Chicken $10 Fried squid tentacles $9 -- chicken was salt & pepper seasoned so it was way better than the squid, which was pretty plain but perfectly fried Mango Matcha Cheezo $6.99 Salty cheesy black tea $6.95 -- both of these drinks hit the spot. I like being able to customize everything including sweetness, ice level, as well as toppings The service here is pretty basic. I would say they could brush up on their courtesy language. Teazo has a fairly large space with ample seating and we had no issues with wait time on a Saturday around 6pm

**Ambiance:** This boba shop has a clean, bright interior with a simple white aesthetic that makes it feel welcoming and easy to spot. It's a convenient place to stop by when you're craving a tea or refreshing drink. **Food & Drinks:** The drinks were well-made and hit the mark. One thing that caught my attention was the seasoning shaker for the popcorn chicken--a nostalgic touch that reminded me of classic Taiwanese snack shops like Quickly. I ended up skipping it this visit, but it looked promising and is definitely on my list to try next time. **Service:** Service was quick and efficient. Drinks were prepared promptly, and I appreciated the attention to detail--the staff made sure cups were wiped down before serving, which helped create a polished experience.

Recently ordered...a lot of drinks and snacks for the fam, brown sugar mochi, chocolate truffles, fried chicken wings, fried tofu, etc. Delicious! This place seems to offer variety of snacks both sweet and savory. Service was efficient. I usually prefer to order via app or in store tablet so didn't really talk to anyone. Ambiance seems busy and environment looks very nice and modern. Super happy to receive a pack of beautifully crafted red envelopes for buying more than $30+ of food/drinks. Thank you!!! Gung Hay Fatt Choy! Located on Taraval and 21st Ave.

Stopped by for a quick drink today. I got a lychee fizz and I'm not sure if it's just because I was super thirsty , lol but it was SO refreshing. It seems like there was real smashed up lychee inside, which took it to the next level. The guy working tonite was super quick and offered half and 80% sweetness. The interior is small but very clean, has cute decor and comfortable seating. I also thought the music selection was the perfect vibe. 10/10 will definitely be back.

It was most unusual to find me at a boba shop like this because I'm not 12 and demanding my mom get me an extra sweet boba or else throw a tantrum. I walked in with nary a child or exasperated mom in sight. I must've hit the shop just before school let out. I took advantage not because I was desperate for boba but because I was drawn to the soufflé pancakes. The last time I had them was at a popular Tokyo spot called Happy Pancake. I decided to try the $12.99 Chocolate Soufflé Pancake, and the young server informed me it would take twenty minutes to prepare. Fair enough. As I waited at one of the four small tables in the shop, I sat nursing a $6.59 Jasmine Milk Tea which was pleasant enough and thankfully not oversweetened (Photo 8). A trickle and then a sizable wave of unleashed kids came in with their moms. The shop was reflecting the profile I was expecting all along. Finally the pancake arrived amid the cacophony, and it was a genuine treat albeit a short-lived one. Dusted with cocoa powder and freckled with cocoa nibs, it featured aeration like a true soufflé with a flavorful chocolate profile (Photo 9). I quite enjoyed it, devouring in a matter of minutes. Then it was time for me to go because I was not part of the target demographic. I assume the moms heaved sighs of relief when I departed the premises. FOOD / DRINK - 4 stars...the soufflé was truly airy and tasty, the milk tea was decent AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...looked kid-proofed SERVICE - 4 stars...accurate on the soufflé timing TOTAL - 4 stars...when you're feeling young at heart RELATED - Exploring the Sunset? Love the drinks here. Huge schnack selection! ;) Service is excellent as always. There's a self-serve kiosk on the left hand side as you walk in. Got the mango coco ($8) today, superb and delicious. Highly recommend with my utmost respectful regards.

San Francisco has many places to grab boba and dessert all four seasons of the year. This particular place has tea leaves from Taiwan tea farmers. They have snacks like the mini fried octopus and popcorn chicken. They also offer spam musubi ,takoyaki and fried cheese sticks. This place also offers drinks like the purple yam latte and the four seasons cheezo tea. This place is located on Taraval street and it is called Teazo. On a Holiday stroll in the Sunset strip of San Francisco on Taraval street Teazo is the spot to grab a delicious crème brûlée soufflé. This Japanese soufflé was soft and very tasty and it reminded of the former Gram Cafe Premium Pancakes at Stonestown. The crème brûlée sauce was not too sweet. I also got the Strawberry Matcha Cheezo. It was a bit salty and a bit cheesy like some in SF but the smooth with the matcha and tasty. This is the place to go for dessert on the Sunset Strip of San Francisco on Taraval street. Come to the Sunset Strip of San Francisco on Taraval street get some great dumplings at Dumpling Kitchen that are "Chinese "and also Banh Mi at Banhwich that are "Vietnamese"and then get some tea leaves from farmers that are "Taiwanese" at Teazo with the Cheezo drink which is salty and has "cheese" Next door to the "New Taraval Cafe" where Teazo sells the matcha and "crème brûlée soufflé " and the "Tiramisu Matcha Latte" and a a berry very good strawberry tea with a fresh strawberry " purée "

Such a cute spot for boba! More of a grab and go place. Order at the kiosk and pick up at the counter. Got the matcha cheezo with strawberry milk tea and it was not too bad Small sitting area and street parking Thank you!

Strawberry Matcha Cheezo and Creme Brulee Boba Milk Tea

I have been wanting to try this boba spot and finally got around to trying it. The store was clean. We ordered a strawberry matcha cheezo, a creme brulee boba milk tea, as well as a matcha souffle pancake. The pricing was standard compared to the local boba shops around. The drinks were delicious and not overwhelmingly sweet. The staff let us know that the souffle pancake would take 15-20 minutes to prepare. The souffle pancake was good, but I probably wouldn't order it again given how long the wait was. I would come back for the boba, my favorite was the creme brulee milk tea.

Came in here to try the boba and was pleasantly surprised to see they had soufflé pancakes. We ordered off the kiosk - (1) strawberry matcha cheezo, (1) creme brulee boba milk tea and (1) matcha soufflé pancake. The drinks were around $6-7 so not bad pricing wise, pretty comparable to the area. The soufflé pancake took about 20+ minutes to make so not something I'd recommend if you're in a rush. Ambiance of the shop - clean and modern decor. Would come back!

Super clean cafe. Had a great variety of tea drinks, snacks, and desserts. Order two Jasmine milk tea at 30% sugar level (one with boba and grass jelly) which were $6.50. Cups and drinks look nice, but were not that good. The drinks were made quickly. The drink overall tasted watery with the strong tea flavor. Not the best option for milk tea in the sunset area. It does have a good space to hangout or to work/study.

As a disclaimer, I am a huge fan of fried chicken, so my opinion might be biased based on that factor. I love that they have a digital menu and that you can easily pay for your meal on it. We ordered family style and shared several dishes, including French Toast, Chicken & Waffles, Nasi Goreng, and 3 extra pieces of fried chicken. For the daily caffeine, I opted for a Vietnamese coffee. The verdict? Love. Everything was delicious, and I especially liked their crispy fried chicken. We both loved that the batter wasn't too heavy on the salt, and that the meat was still juicy despite being fried to a satisfying crunch. The French toast and Waffles were also delicious and buttery. Nasi goreng, on the other hand, was a bit of a letdown. Maybe my expectation was too high, but the fried rice just didn't hit the spot. Their Vietnamese coffee was also pretty mid, since I've had it much better elsewhere. These slight misses won't stop me from picking them over Plow though. I love that they have more of the menu variety that resonates with my tastebuds, and I will definitely be returning there.

The summer vegetable hash comes with beans, squash, tomatoes, corn, carrots, peppers and eggs. I typically associate hash with potatoes, but surprisingly this dish does not come with potatoes.
