It's been a while since I've walked these few blocks during normal work hours. I avoid this area on weekends as the traffic and parking situation gets chaotic. After a few errands south of the City, I decided to return to a restaurant on the same block where I bought and enjoyed some takeout food a few months ago. This store is on the corner of the same block. With the weather on the warmer side, I made a point to get something for my drive to the office after lunch. It hit the spot as I finished a little more than half when I arrived my destination. I brought the cup home and added ice to stretch my drink into a beverage with dinner. When I walked by, there were five or six customers in the store either drinking or eating or waiting for their orders. When I walked in, there was only one person picking his drink as I studied the menu. As a left, I couple of people walked in to place their orders so, on weekday afternoons, the business seems steady but not crazily busy. I ordered the peach milk tea, 30% sugar and less ice. It was done within a few minutes. It has peach chunks (maybe it would be considered fruit gum?) at bottom, so still tasted nice and fruity even with the lowered sweetness. Swung by SK Tea after getting dinner nearby on Irving around 7pm on a Monday, and it was empty. There's some seating, and cute decorations up on the wall, but is a little cluttered with supplies stacked up toward the back. The menu is pretty extensive, but still the typical classic boba shop offerings. There's just one worker at the cashier, and I believe someone in the back making drinks, so I'd imagine service would get slow if you're ordering a large number of drinks at once. -mango green milk tea w/lychee jelly (less ice, 80% sweet; $5.76): this had a light floral jasmine fragrance, with a sweet, jammy artificial mango flavor. Cheese Watermelon with Aloe Vera - watermelon puree was extremely refreshing. Strong watermelon flavor while it's still in season at least. Generous amount of cheese crema. They used a different, taller cup for this drink not sure if it's because of the drink itself or the crema. Aloe vera was normal, but a good pairing with the refreshing fruit drink. I'm a big fan of Mango Green Tea Creama drinks so when a bubble tea shop has it, I must try it. SK tea is my local go to for this. I'm a fan of Sharetea if that helps. You can get a stamp card from SK tea where if you get 10 drinks, you get one free. SK tea is pretty quick and fast. I'll say it's not fancy or anything but for how much it costs, it's solid in my opinion considering a lot of bubble tea shops would probably charge a $1-2 more. So for how much it cost, I think it's good and 5 stars. Couple random things: It gets pretty warm inside the shop, so it's nice in the winter, but can be really hot when the suns out. Came here on a Wednesday. There was no wait. Got the thai tea at 50% sweet and a popcorn chicken. The thai tea had a really strong tea taste, but I thought it could've been creamier. I would up the amount of sugar the next time. The popcorn chicken was kind of a small portion for $6.50. The tea was extremely bitter, and I ended up throwing it away after a few sips which was one of the saddest moments of my life. I love SK Tea and hope they never leave. My partner and I come several times a week - although I'm really trying to get him to cut back - but our orders are always perfect. The fried snacks are also no joke - their popcorn chicken and takoyaki are some of my favorites out there - and that's next to Taiwanese joints and Izakayas. We always get the passion fruit green tea at 0% or 25% sweetness with boba (little boba if they have it) and it's always made exactly how we want it. It sounds so basic, but this kind of consistency is so hard to find! They happen to have slightly more reasonable prices than other folks. I think it's worth every penny! I thoroughly enjoyed the pineapple passion fruit green tea. This tea had probably the most potent amount of passion fruit and pineapple flavor and aromas that I've ever had in my life. The sugar levels were excellent and i didn't even have to ask to adjust the sweetness level. The passion fruit had that tangy yet sweet aromatic flavor, and the pineapple added that tartness to the green tea. What surprised me the most was that despite the drink having heavy flavors coming in from both fruits, I was still able to taste the natural green tea flavor. Parking is street parking, but it may be hit or miss because it is in the Outer Sunset area (parking around the corner instead of Irving Street would be a good idea). I ordered my usual - the jasmine milk tea with boba. I ordered it at 80% sweetness and normal ice (they did not give that much ice at normal so that was great). The drink was on the sweeter side, so I would opt for 50% sweetness next time. Overall, the drink had a good creamy taste to it with a slight tea taste, which I prefer.
