I've always loved eggettes since I was in high school. My two go to drinks are lychee green tea and mango lychee freeze. The mangoes are very fresh and sweet, I believe they use champagne mangoes for the mango freeze. If I don't come in person, I'll be ordering thru doordash. The owners and employees are very nice every time I come. They have a few tables in here and also claw machines in the back for anyone that wants to win some prizes. I tried this place with my friend who recommended it over the weekend. I thought the store was decorated so cutely with egg themed everything, but when we entered, the staff acted as though they didn't want to help us. In the middle of ordering, the cashier just stopped working and made her employee take over while she did nothing. However, after our order was ready and we picked it up, several other customers came, and I heard her helping them in a friendly manner, so I'm confused as to why she was so rude and unpleasant to us when we didn't do anything except ask to order egg waffles. Here's what we ordered: Lavender milk tea - (3.5/5) very strong, not sweet enough Eggette -(3.5/5) very crispy but again, not sweet at all. Rice roll (4/5) lots of sauce , very yummy! It took a while to get eggette since one machine was broken but we were told ahead of time so we didn't mind. Service was good. The store was small and lots of people already seated. Eggettes is a childhood nostalgia that I love coming to every time I come back home. All their foods are always so fresh and delicious! My go to drink here is the lavender milk tea w boba and lychee milk tea with lychee jelly! Their slushies, milk tea, and Thai tea were my go to when I was younger. I ordered eggettees and rice rolls at 2 pm The eggettes were ready within 5 minutes, but the rice rolls took another 15 minutes, totaling 20 minutes. By the time they handed me the orders together, the eggettees were already cold and no longer fresh. The cashier's attitude was very rude, simply saying they have to wait until everything is ready before giving it to the customer. If that's the case, they shouldn't have made the eggettee yet. Last time I came here, I got a green milk tea with boba and the boba wasn't good at all! The boba was super soft and didn't have that sugary flavor. Hurray, the world is healing. The pandemic caused "Eggettes" to close early and be take-out only, but on my recent visit they've opened up their shop for dine in. Eggettes is the only place I get "egg puffs"/"egg waffles" or whatever you like to call them. I call them eggettes. During Covid, indoor dining and ordering is not available. Ordering is done at door which has been converted to an ordering window and the line/waiting area is out front. Polly Ann's next door does have some tables set up for outdoor dining. Eggettes from this location may not be as airy as ones on the street in Hong Kong, but the original batter is comparable in flavor (sweet eggy flavor without any baking powder/soda bitterness or yeast flavors). They make the eggettes to order so the edges are toasty and crunchy while the "puffs" are soft and chewy. Best enjoyed hot, but still yummy when cold, and even more chewy. Quick service, but they're also pretty popular so there may be a wait to receive your order. I've been to this eggettes since I was in middle school, coming down for a special treat on Sundays. The egg puffs were great! Crisp edges, puffy and chewy middles, a hint of flavor. The crisp disappeared the longer they sat, as expected.
