I love Eggettes! The boba and snacks are great. This place has good vibes and a place to sit to enjoy your drink. Quick and friendly, service is always 10/10!
Haven't been here for a long time and was in the area and wanted snacks so we stopped by. Here's what we ordered: Lavender milk tea - (3.5/5) very strong, not sweet enough Eggette -(3.5/5) very crispy but again, not sweet at all. Rice roll (4/5) lots of sauce , very yummy! It took a while to get eggette since one machine was broken but we were told ahead of time so we didn't mind. Service was good. The store was small and lots of people already seated. We had the food to-go, so it's ok. I'd give it a 3.5 and rounded up to a 4. Would come back to try other stuff next time!
I used to hit up Eggettes all the time back in the day. Their Eggettes were really good. Swung by again recently and... they're good, just not as flavorful or fragrant as I remember. Maybe my nostalgia goggles are strong, maybe the recipe shifted a hair. Either way, they're still perfectly crispy-outside / fluffy-inside, just missing that extra oomph. On the bright side, the lychee milk tea still really good. Nicely balanced, not too sweet, and loaded with real lychee flavor.
Definitely not the energy I needed going into my evening. I arrived 20-30 minutes before closing, ordered two Eggettes and one drink, and the cashier immediately sighed and rolled her eyes at us. She then proceeded to cough into her hands and touch her face before handling our food. The staff clearly need better training in customer service and food handling.
Crazy that I'm reviewing my childhood snack shop, but how can I not. Nostalgia aside, Eggettes has the best milk tea and mango freeze compared to other boba shops. I love the bitterness of the tea with their sweet boba. To owner: Thank you for keeping relatively low prices and not changing your drink recipes! Also bring back the honeydew eggette more often please
We came on a Tuesday afternoon around 3pm and there was no wait. The service was quick and they busted out drinks even faster This place has been around for years and has always been a sunset district staple for kids growing up. Always friendly faces in this establishment and I can always know what to expect. The egg puffs and food are good quality and the drinks are solid as well. In the fruit drinks, they'll use real fruit chunks which is always a refreshing taste. Though as I've gotten older and wiser, I realize these drinks are rather "okay". Always have a special place in this little boys heart
I have been coming to Eggettes for so long and never did a review yet for this place. This is my go to place for boba drink and snacks even though there is a boba place half a block from my house. I love their polite, quick and efficient service. Their drinks and toppings, eggettes, imitation fin soup, dumpling, their weekend dessert special are all delicious. The place is cozy and tidy clean. Plenty of free parking on the streets. what tops the cake is their owner (?), a gentleman who is always so nice to his customers. Today he went above and beyond for me. Even offer to help me carry my tray of drinks and food to my car (not knowing where I parked too!!). people like him is what makes me what to keep coming back and recommending this yummy place to others. Thank you kind gentleman and I appreciate your sentiment!
Eggettes is a childhood nostalgia that I love coming to every time I come back home. All their foods are always so fresh and delicious! My go to drink here is the lavender milk tea w boba and lychee milk tea with lychee jelly! Their slushies, milk tea, and Thai tea were my go to when I was younger. The only things that changed is that they took out one of the eggettes flavor and added chocolate chip and sesame! They also have a cotton candy machine in the back that replaced my childhood toy coin machines where I got all my Winnie the Pooh keychains lol
I really like their Hong Kong-style milk tea, though I can't speak to the boba since I prefer mine without. The egg puffs, or gai daan jai, taste very eggy. I wish they were a touch sweeter and slightly chewier on the inside. Still tasty though, and I'd come back for their milk tea and other egg puff flavors.
Growing up in the Outer Sunset, this chunk of Noriega has been frequented by me since my middle school days. I recently went back and it brought back all the memories! Last time I came here, I got a green milk tea with boba and the boba wasn't good at all! The boba was super soft and didn't have that sugary flavor. This time I ordered a fruit tea and let me say, it'll be what I get every time! It didn't taste artificial at all and the lychee jelly it came with was just the perfect amount of chewiness and sweetness. I feel like their fruit tea is so so much better and next time I definitely want to try their fruit slush! 10/10 recommend!
Hurray, the world is healing. The pandemic caused "Eggettes" to close early and be take-out only, but on my recent visit they've opened up their shop for dine in. They even have a claw machine, gachas, and a cotton candy machine now too. I'm always on the lookout for their honeydew eggette, but the original is a good alternative as well. Crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and I swear it just gets chewier and tastier as it cools. Their drinks are also decent, freezes or frappes are always trustworthy. Their rice rolls drenched in peanut sauce and hoisin sauce was also better than popular ones I've tried in New York. A very unassuming place that does everything well.
This spot had a good standard menu of boba drinks. I wish I lived in the neighborhood to come and visit more often. It feels very authentic when it comes to flavors and drinks. The service was kind and quick. The boba was good and tasty. I ordered an Almond Milk Tea with 75% sweetener and it was exactly what I wanted. Almond milk tea isn't always at boba spots and they sometimes don't get it right. But I was so happy to get a solid Almond Milk Tea.

This is the second Eggettes location I have been too. Boy, this place wasn't as easy to find, as they don't have store front signage. There was a line forming up when we arrived, so there was a wait to order and then another wait to pick up our freshly made Eggettes and boba drinks. The boba drinks, I would skip, they aren't anything special or spectacular, just average I would say. Got the Regular Milk Tea with Boba and Yogurt Green Tea with Rainbow Jelly, both mediocre. The Eggettes are great, fresh, warm and tasty! When I went, they only had 3 flavors to choose from, original, chocolate and honeydew. Got the chocolate and honeydew flavored Eggettes. They were both delicious and you can tell the batter is fresh! Not sure why they ask you how you want to receive your receipt (either via email, text or printed out) because I selected print, but they took the receipt themselves? Had to ask for one once I picked up my order... Would definitely recommend trying this place if you like Hong Kong Style Egg Puffs! :) read more
They are a hole in the wall restaurant in a residential neighborhood. Very authentic typical snacks you find in China/Hong Kong. Their boba is very delicious! It's not too sweet and they used real lychee in there. You need to park in the local neighborhood, typically not very easy to find parking. Does not have dine in available. If you think the line is gonna be long, I would recommend calling ahead of time so you can double park, hop out and grab your order when it's ready. read more
Cute little cafe with "eggettes," which are kind of like light waffles with different tasty batters. I got chocolate chip and they were great! Very light and fluffy, like a warm waffle cone. I also had a lychee green tea with tapioca, which was great. read more

The best place for a quick snack and drink. Can't gush enough about the great service, food and drinks, and location. My family and I were looking for an afternoon snack to hold us over for dinner, and Eggettes was the perfect spot. After smelling all the amazing food, we couldn't help ourselves and order 2 of all of the food options. My favorites were the shark fin soup and the chocolate eggettes. The shark fin soup had an amazing broth, and the mushrooms were super tender and juicy. The chocolate eggettes were perfectly cooked with the right amount of cake like filling. If you're torn on what to order for a drink (sooo much awesomeness to choose from), I'd recommend the matcha freeze. If you're a matcha fan, don't even look at the rest of the menu. This matcha slushee (make sure you add boba) is the absolute best. read more

HONEYDEW EGGETTES WHERE YA AT?? Why is it that everytime I visit, honeydew flavor eggettes aren't available?! waaah!! I came here with a friend on a Monday evening 5pm-ish. There was HELLA parking outside and barely anyone inside. A couple kids and their parents came trickling in here and there to order boba/eggettes, then leaving. So I ordered a milk tea with boba and coconut flavored eggettes since they weren't serving the honeydew that day. The eggettes came out fresh and hot but lacked a strong coconut flavor. Come to think of it, I don't think I tasted any coconut at all except like two or three pieces. I still enjoyed my eggettes though because they were really fresh and satisfied my craving at that time. Honeydew flavor is the best, for sure. Hopefully when I visit next time honeydew is an option! The milk tea boba wasn't anything special, I think their other drinks are better but tend to be super sweet. I recommend reducing the sugar level if you're not a fan of overly sweet boba drinks! read more

Anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely HATE wasting food, because I'm that friend who nags others about finishing their food to the last bite, the last drop, "think about the starving children in the world!!", etc. etc. But wtf Eggettes, you got me, because I think this is the first time I've thrown an order away. Chocolate eggette: The edges are cut sloppily and the center is mushy like an undercooked pancake. I'm used to egg waffles being moist or chewy, but this is just plain doughy. The chocolate flavoring tastes like diluted, cheap hot cocoa. After pulling apart a piece, there was LINT in the egg waffle, like a long, gray piece of lint. Whyyyyy Toffee milk tea: I got this with no ice and less sweet, which was still sugary af. The first thing I noticed was the overcooked boba... Super gooey and unappetizing. The light toffee flavoring initially goes well with the milk tea, but later leaves this fructose aftertaste. I'm no stranger to syrups and powders in milk teas, but this has that weird plastic flavor that screams artificial. The workers here were friendly but inattentive... Trash on the tables and floor, and all they did was text, talk to each other, or space out. It's unacceptably dirty indoors-- floor is grimy/sticky and the walls have drink splatters. Just overall really gross, I won't be back. read more

I'm a fan of eggettes' eggettes, green milk tea w/ boba, and most recently, their fruit freezes! Boyfriend and I stopped by yesterday for a refreshing drink and I decided to take my chances on their fruit freeze, which I was assuming would be made from powder or some artificial flavors, but it turned out to be real fruit! Super happy about that :D it was very refreshing and their boba was on point (though I've never had to complain about their boba in the past). Now I know what to get next time! Also, bonus for being right next to Polly Ann's so I can get boba and ice cream in one go! read more
6.25.18 - keeping this baby at 4 stars cuz white chocolate Thai tea at 50% sweet is bomb dot com and my go-to now ---------------- 5/3/18 - Coconut Thai Tea is what made me bump this up to 4stars. I'm totally ok to come back now lol I know my go-to drink! ---------------- 3.5 stars rounding down huh, never knew they had lavender MT... so you know I definitely tried it out again lol this is one of the cheaper lavender MT ($3.25) and I like they have the size of a 16oz cup. there are also snacks like eggettes (starting at $3) and rice rolls the lavender MT was ok, heavier on the tea flavor. the I've is also crushed versus cubed so when sipping you'll likely have ice bits I'd come back because I live in the neighborhood and want a craving satisfied at a cheaper price and a 16oz cup read more
*ATTENTION* Please note that the business time listed on Yelp is not accurate. About three weeks ago, we went there around 830PM on a Friday or Saturday. It was closed. Earlier tonight, I was hoping to get fin soup since I saw that it was scheduled to opened until 10:00 PM. We got there around 6:15 PM. The OPEN sign was off and a guy was walking out. Someone locked the door after him. Again, it was closed. It's clear that this account is unclaimed, so I am not sure who updated the hours. It's better to call before going there, so that you won't have the same experience like mine. read more

Came here yesterday (4/11/2019). The drinks and egg waffles here are delicious as always! I remember always coming here after school and also to PolyAnn's. It was such a treat for me. Their imitation shark fin soup is super yummy. I ordered the strawberry freeze and my sister ordered the original flavor egg waffles (eggettes) Sadly, this time, the tapioca pearls were too mushy which I didn't like. Otherwise, everything was yummy. The eggettes taste the same as when I first tried them and they weren't soggy! read more

Eggettes is known to have the best egg waffles HK style "little eggs" as I call them. This location in outer sunset SF is definitely a go. I came here on a Sunday and the shop was packed with family with their kids. This location is right next to a ice creamery so you can kill two birds with one stone meaning that you can get ice cream right after your eggettes. I got their malt milk tea and original flavor eggettes here. The malt milk tea was a bit on the sweet side but the eggettes made up for it. Parking is not hard here since there's plenty of street parking and in SF- you can't really complain. Come try their eggettes :) read more
On my last day in San Francisco I was fortunate enough to be able to meet up with an old school friend (and one of the best people in my life) who lives in the city. I told her I wanted to see San Francisco from her point of view, screw the touristy places, I wanted to see and go to places that she as a local enjoyed. One of our (many!) stops that day was Eggettes, a cute little boba spot in the Outer Sunset district. My friend had rave reviews about Eggettes, and said it was some of the best boba she had ever had so I was excited to give it a shot. Being rather new to boba I asked for mine with light, I wish I would have asked for more, it was delicious - perfectly refreshing and chewy. I went with the Mango-Orange drink at the suggestion of my friend and I was not disappointed. We also shared an original Eggette, which is an interesting concept to me. It's basically a waffle, but parts of it are paper thin and then other parts form these little rip-able egg shaped fluffy mounds of goodness. Served piping hot it was delicious, and I'm not sure if it's available but it would be wonderful if they offered some dipping sauces to go with them (chocolate? maple syrup? caramel...) Service was fast efficient and friendly. Both the seating area and the restroom were kept very clean and there was a wide selection of outlets (about 2 per table) for people to lounge and charge their mobile devices. I used to come to eggettes a LOT after playing volleyball closeby for an affordable boba drink and snack. I was and still am a big fan of their milk teas because I feel their boba drinks aren't super sweet and have that tea taste that I like. Their pearls have a good and consistent texture as well; doesn't melt in the mouth and doesn't have that hard core in the middle. Recently I went for something new and tried their lychee milk tea. I love the fact that they have lychee bits in there! On a day when I'm not feeling adventurous, I would get their thai tea, regular black milk tea, or honeydew milk tea. I think I will start trying their blended drinks or freezes since I never had them before and they seem popular. Well, now onto what they are REALLY known for: their egg puffs! I have tried their regular egg puffs, and their flavored ones (chocolate, honeydew, and coconut). They always seem to have the regular and chocolate flavored ones out everyday, and occasionally switch up the third one to a more unique flavor (and about .50 more compared to the regular egg puffs). I just tried the coconut one a few days ago and it was delicious, but I still think the honeydew ones are still my favorite (The inside of the honeydew ones are green!) Hopefully the next time I come here, they will have a new flavor being offered. They offer other snacks as well, from imitation shark fin soup to curry fish balls. I've had both and I wouldn't come here only for that, but I'd have to say their shark fin soup would be great for a cold SF day or if you're feeling sick. I don't know if there is MSG in it but I wouldn't be surprised. There's a decent amount of seating, and one restroom for customers. Parking isn't bad because it's in the middle of a residential neighborhood and there are spots all along the block. They used to have computers to use the internet but not anymore. Thank goodness for wifi there. If there's not seating available, you can always walk a block away to the park next to the middle school and have your snack and drink there. read more
I came to eggettes with the whole purpose of trying their Hong Kong style round waffles. I ordered the chocolate one and I was not disappointed! To be quite honest, it didn't taste very much like chocolate - however, it reminded me to what chocolate tasted like in Asia. So I would say it's pretty authentic in that way. The texture was crispy on the outside, and chewy on the inside kind of like mochi like. I really enjoyed it, although it was a bit pricey for what it was. Their eggettes are the best! They're crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I've been to places where their eggettes are just like waffles, and I don't like those at all. The original flavor here is my favorite but they also have chocolate and coconut. The drinks here are also really good. On normal days I usually get the regular milk tea with boba. The tea flavor really stands out, which I prefer when I get milk teas. The price is also on the lower side compared to all the hipster places. When it's hot, I prefer getting the strawberry freeze. Super refreshing! I'm also a fan of their "shark fin" soup. It's just comfort food to me. And yes, the shark fin is fake! read more

I grew up coming to Eggettes every weekend and I haven't been here in a year. They only have two locations left, this one and one in Millbrae. I ordered the original Eggettes and the rice noodle roll and shiu mai. The Eggettes are so good and haven't changed since the last time I've come. The rice noodle roll and shiu Mai is also really good. The workers were very friendly and they were practicing social distancing. You order and pick up at the door! Overall I would definitely come back if I was craving Eggettes. read more
