E9. Avocado Smoothies

Finally, a boba shop that actually has the avocado smoothie in stock! Most places sell out because it's so popular, but Foam came through--and with real avocado too. Their avocado smoothie was incredibly fresh, creamy, and not overly sweet. The boba was perfectly chewy and tasted super fresh, making it even better. Definitely coming back for more!

I've been to this place a handful of times. They close early, so it's hard for me to visit regularly. Many times it after I eat pho next door and I'm too late. It's been unusually warm and I was able to stop by for early afternoon refreshment. I was surprised to see that they offer sugar cane juice--perfect drink for a hot Indian summer day. I ordered the passionfruit sugarcane juice and it was very refreshing, naturally sweet--no added sugars. It's a small shop with limited seating, but it's nice that they offer seating. The person behind the counter was super friendly. You can order on the kiosk, if paying by card or at the counter if by cash. They are also located up the block from Sarang Hello and across the street from the post office. If want refreshments/snacks after errands, it's a great place to take a break. Looking forward to my next visit.

I love Foam. Their drinks are some of the best drinks you'll have! I had the mixed fruit drink and the other drinks, and you can never go wrong with any of them! Their food, is tasty, especially the onion rings, French fries, popcorn chicken and the spring rolls. It's great for a quick snack or a filling lunch! The service is always good and the folks working there are always willing to answer your questions and helpful. Small little spot so grab your food and drinks to go or stay for a quick meal. It can get busy, so have your order ready to go, beforehand! Photocards are of ENHYPEN members, made by @jerodellee on Instagram and Tik Tok

A3. Roast Oolong Milk Tea w/ Grass Jelly and A6. Thai Milk Tea

Craving popcorn chicken and there aren't too many places we know that make them nowadays in our neighborhood. After a quick search, hubs suggested trying Foam Tea House. Small place, but there were a couple of tables and seating along the window. We ordered at the kiosk - roasted oolong milk tea w/ grass jelly, Thai tea, popcorn chicken and fries. Drinks came out quickly. I ordered the roasted oolong with 30% sugar and less ice. I tend to like my teas strong, and this was a little weak for me. Hubs ordered the Thai tea, which was good. Faves were the snacks as they were made to order and came out hot and crispy. Popcorn chicken was crispy and perfect amount of saltiness. Fries were also hot, and I enjoyed them with the Sriracha ketchup. Hubs and I agreed that we'd each order our own fries and popcorn chicken next time. Would love if they offered a combo deal.

After having lunch, decided to get some boba tea (is a must stop) . Ordered on the kiosk, after the order was submitted in the server made the drinks quickly. We had the lemon kumquat green tea with basil seed, refreshing!!!! For this excessive heat wave. Wanted to order some snacks since it looks like they had many options but was too full :( next time! Oh and the seal on the cup was super cute! Couldn't help it! Haha

e5 Peach Yakult Slush

The drinks and popcorn chicken are so so delicious. I had the peach yakult slushie and it was so sweet and delicious. The sugar cane juice is 100% natural and delicious. It's a laid back casual place to chill at while you eat you food. The barista who made our drinks was quick and kind.

Came here after grabbing lunch at Dumpling Time up to block. Upon entering, I walked up to the kiosk TouchPad and ordered their Mango Slush with Sago and Panda Milk Tea. Relatively easy and paid with card. It was pretty quiet but normal, considering it was a weekday. Drinks came out fast and loaded with a generous amount of toppings. There's limited seating inside, a bit worn. Interior is decorated with custom art and has a nostalgic charm. Staff was pleasant, and we were out the door within minutes.

One of my besties and I were in the mood for our boba fix this past weekend. Since both of us prefer dairy alternatives, thankfully Foam offers their milk teas with Almond Milk. Both of us ordered a Matcha Milk Tea with boba in Almond Milk. Our orders were ready within 2 minutes. They give generous portions of matcha that it covered at least half of our drink. The matcha flavor was not too overpowering and it blended well with the almond milk tea's sweetness. The boba was perfectly chewy, sweet and not tough. The ambiance was impressive because of their printed cup event dedicated to Jihyo's solo release. As a Once (Twice stan), I was truly fond of the posters and the provided cups and photocards. Foam frequently collaborates with Saranghello for any cupsleeve or printed cup events. Moving forward, Foam is now my go-to boba shop along Taraval Street in San Francisco's Sunset district!

They have a new and spacious location across the street! We visited their soft opening today, it's amazing! The owner made me a special drink with coconut water and matcha, it's so refreshing and it keeps the calories low I don't know the name of the drink but will definitely go back for that again! Same great service as usual, with more seatings. Can't wait to see what they will offer at the new location!

The mango sago freeze, stood no chance against me on this particularly hot day. It was delicious.

Did you know you can get your image on the foam tea here? That's the best thing about this place. Average drinks with slow service, even when empty. I'm not sure why they always get my order wrong. Oolong tea with salty cheese foam. Does it seem that hard, does it? Their fruit tea is lackluster, and even without sugar, I think it's presweetened because it's quite sugary. Still 3 stars average.

Ask the Community - Foam Tea House

Hi, could you share the ingredients list of the cream cheese foam? I have a kid with allergies to eggs, nuts, and wheat, and want to know if it's safe for her to try. Thanks!

Do you still do the foam printing? How much is it now? Thanks!

Do you offer the foam prints these days? Or is it suspended due to covid? Thank You

Yup, they still have them

Are you still doing the foam printing?

Yes

Is your standard milk lactose free?

They have milk options for lactose intolerant people. I got their black milk tea with oat milk, pretty tasty.

When will you guys reopen?

Hi Fiorela, we are back on 6/28 tomorrow. Thank you for your support!

Foam, what's up?!? You guys are our favorite tea place in San Francisco and you're not even open! What's going on when are you opening again?

Hi Cristen, we are back on 6/28 tomorrow. Thank you for your support!

How come you guys are closed?

Hi Hai, we are back on 6/28 tomorrow. Thank you for your support!

Do you eat/drink the images on the foam?

Yes! It is edible and has no added flavor.

What are your non caffeinated boba tea options?

Sure. We have varieties of non caffeinated options, such as Must try Ice Milk and Tonic. Thank you for your support!

Will you use a reusable cup like a mason jar if I bring one?

Yes, we encourage our customers to bring in with clean reusable cup and many of our regular customers actually did!

Do you serve hot drinks with the printed "foam" on top?

Sorry, we don’t serve printed hot drinks. We have experimented with it before and the heat would just melt the printed foam.

Do they have soy or almond milk options?

Great idea! We will definitely work on soy and almond milk formula on new product. Coming soon!

Glad they opened another Bambu in the city!…read more Prime location, with plenty of available parking. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. My go to is the smashed avocado and pandan waffles. Soooo delish! ;)

Before going to the one down in Westminster, more than a decade had passed since the last time I…read morehad stopped into a Bambu. Given that, it doesn't escape me that it took just a matter of months for my next visit to happen again. No real rhyme or reason as to why it didn't take nearly as long this time, but I'd be lying if I said that the Ube Halo Halo we tried didn't have something to do with it. While it ultimately wasn't what we ordered, the memory of what we had definitely got us excited to try more when my friends suggested coming here! Compared to the location over on Geary (and the one in Westminster, for what it's worth), this Bambu is better in just about every way. Sure, it helps that it's still relatively new (they opened about eight months ago?), but it's undoubtedly cleaner, feels a whole lot brighter, is a bit more conveniently located, and, most significantly, has way more parking available nearby. As for the menu, it had pretty much all of the usual offerings that you'd expect to find at any of their locations - che desserts, milk tea, fruit teas, waffles, macarons, and Vietnamese coffee. -- MANGO HALO HALO - Green Jello Base with Coconut Meat, Coconut Milk, Red Tapioca, Jackfruit, Egg Pudding, Crystal Boba, Mango Jelly, Pandan Jelly, Nata de Coco, and Topped with Mango Ice Cream While it didn't impress quite like the Ube Halo Halo did, this was still really good. Between all of the mangos (vs ube) and jellies, this felt a lot fruitier and lighter. However, it also didn't feel quite as creamy as the Ube one did, which I kind of missed. -- VIETNAMESE EGG COFFEE Sadly, the coffee is a pre-made mix, so they weren't able to modify the sweetness, but I appreciate that they added plain coffee to help dilute it. Even then, though, this ended up being really sweet. Loved how creamy the egg foam made this, though. Despite how I genuinely like this particular Bambu, I don't know how often I would come back since I don't typically crave che desserts and other places usually come to mind first when I think of where to get milk tea. However, should the urge or occasion arise to go to a Bambu again, I wouldn't hesitate to come back to this one, especially so that I can give their Yoonami Drinks, Smoothies, and Ube Mochi Waffle a try!
