Service (1/5): No hate to the barista or anything- I understand that he was alone in the shift during the time, but the attitude towards me and my niece when we were ordering and making the drinks was really unnecessary. I believe that he was being really moody because I placed a pretty big order and he had to do it on his own- which I understand -- big orders, more work to do... but he did not have to slam the drinks in the basket after finishing with one drink. When we were about to leave, we said "thank you" and "bye have a great day" but he didn't even bother to say a word back, and instead just glared at us. I've been going to E Tea ever since its opened because its within a few blocks of my house and is the nearest spot to get boba. My go to is usually the Winnie the Pooh with boba and the boba has never been "bad". It's always been perfectly chewy without it being under or overcooked. The mango sago hits the spot whenever I'm craving something more sweet as well. The appetizers are delicious; my personal favorite appetizer being the garlic cheese fries tastes amazing. It is slightly expensive ($9.99), but honestly it's prepared how I prefer my fries so that justifies it for me. As for the service, theres always one person working in the front and I feel bad because it can be overwhelming and seem stressful, but the experiences have been average and never negative. A little off topic, but if you are a One Piece nerd you will LOVE the decor. Came here after dinner close by. It's been a long time since I've been here but it's still what I remember! Got the Jasmine milk tea with boba and it was solid - strong tea flavor, chewy boba. They don't offer an option to adjust ice/sweetness level here (maybe unless you ask, but I don't think they're trained to do so according to the menu), but my drink wasn't overly sweet. Fast service. The Black Milk Tea was bitter and had a little burnt after taste. Not sure how that happened, but we ended up just trashing it. Boba pearls and lychee jelly tasted good though. Organic black tea with salted cheese crema - 10/10. So good! It wasn't too sweet at all although I got 100% sweetness. The flavor of the passionfruit tea mixed with aloe works well together and is not too sweet, but is quickly undermined by the tea's poor quality, giving a rough mouth feel. My friend and I were looking for something sweet after our savory dinner and we came across E Tea. There's a good variety of drinks here ranging from milk teas, cheese crema teas, slushies and smoothies. The place was not busy at all so we were taken care of right away. I got myself a coconut taro sago drink and my friend got a boba drink that was either coffee or roasted oolong (I don't really remember). My drink definitely satisfied that sweet craving that I had, but it wasn't outstanding. My drink tasted a bit powdery in the beginning but after a few more sips that went away. Price wise it is fairly decent. Would I come back? Perhaps if I was in the area then maybe. But honestly, I would not go out of my way to come here for okayish boba. read more

I got Mango green tea with boba in the cute reusable bottle ($4.50 +.50 for boba in a 20 oz bottle). 10% off your next order if you bring it back next time or use! Why am I so obsessed with the drinks featured at E Tea? It must be the abundance of sugar they put in each drink and I'm not complaining about that in any sense of the word! E Tea is a small independently owned mom and pop boba shop that has two locations in San Francisco and I can honestly say that I am obsessed with the drinks they have here. I actually happened to come to their location on Geary Street by happenstance, as I joined family for dinner at the Super Pan Restaurant that for all intensive purposes shares the same address, as they have the same entrance before you make your way next door for their steaming dinners. While I was looking over their menu at Super Pan, their servers are nice enough to drop one of the menus from E Tea just in case if we wanted to place an order with them. What a smart and savvy idea, which just made me think the two establishments were related in some way or another. Either way, upon looking at the two-sided menu, I was totally hooked on all twenty-five different drinks they offer at E Tea thanks to the ingenious idea that they actually all of their drinks in picture form on their menu, so drink lovers can get an accurate description of exactly what each drink looked like on their menu. What also makes E Tea stand out among all of the numerous nearby places that sell boba, is that they offer two different cup versions, one regular plastic twenty-four ounce size and another large size that is served in a sealed plastic bottle, which makes it perfect for a to-go drink. After quickly looking over their menu, I instantly knew what I wanted to order: the number 21, the Winnie the Pooh, which was filled with Strawberry Green Tea with Mango Milk and Lychee Jelly caught my eye. not only did it sound delicious but I realized that it was called Winnie the Pooh because it was half bright red and half bright yellow just like the legendary animated character. I thought how original and I have to have this drink (for the social media purposes alone)! And so I did as the plastic cup with straw version was just $4.50 and that wasn't bad deal at all. Upon arrival the drink was everything I could have wanted and then some. It was a little sweet, as was expected, but since I had the option of drinking my boba drink alongside my fiery skillet meal served at Super Pan, which provided a nice balance between my savory meal and my sweet drink. We did make a return visit a few months later and this time I went outside of my comfort zone and ordered their Mango Sago with Lychee Jelly, which was an interestingly tasting drink with huge chunks of sago and lychee combined with none of the special-ness that made me love their Winnie the Pooh drink. I'm going to chalk it up to new staff members still finding their groove on how to craft a unique drink. But still, I honestly can't wait to more return visits and order more drinks at E Tea, from their Fresh Fruit teas to their teas with milk, fruit and boba there doesn't seem to be a choice where you can go wrong. Large size teas that are no more than $4.50 in price and the toppings do not cost extra, which in the boba world is a rarity. As a result this is a boba place that I can get used to in a hurry. Especially with sizzling skillets being served right next door. I assume E Tea must stand for excellent tea. read more
