Exorbitant wait times and unnecessary. They don't call out when a drink is ready. Instead they put it behind the counter. There's no one at the counter. When the guy peeks out from the kitchen, he ignores the customers. My mango sago with coconut milk $8.25 tasted meh. They allow dogs in the restaurant.

Cute boba shop with claw machines that contain cute stuffed animals/characters. I ordered an Oreo Milk Tea Boba with Cheese Foam at 25% sweetness. My drink tasted more like a sweet dessert than a milk tea. I wish the tea was more forward in the drink. The boba itself was okay. It didn't have the perfect balance of soft and chewy; it leaned more towards soft. Overall, my drink was okay.

I'm a sucker for unique themed shops with personality! Stumbled upon Sweet Cupz craving a refreshing fruit tea. They have these Surprise Cupz that come with a raffle ticket and a surprise plushy. I thought the idea was super fun. They also have claw machines that accept credit card so I played a few rounds while waiting for my drink. The cashier was helpful and gave me some suggestions from the menu - I also loved how they had a top 10 menu list and digital screens with visuals of their menu. I ordered their Pineapple Passionfruit Jasmine Green Tea half sweet. It was the perfect amount of sweetness and refreshing. My husband loved his mango smoothie. Check this place out! I'll be a returning customer and plan to bring friends and family.

Stopped by here after seeing an ad for their "Surprise Cupz". Essentially, you order a drink off the "Surprise Cupz" menu, and the drink will then come with a surprise gift - ranging from keychains, stuffed animals, stickers etc.! I'm not sure what the entire list of characters for the surprises include but I definitely saw Super Mario Bros., Pokémon, Sanrio, Disney characters etc.! In terms of the actual drink, there are many drinks that qualifies for this order. This bubble tea cafe is also very flexible in terms of the toppings, sweetness level, alternative milk and any other substitutes you might want to make to your order! I ordered the Iced Matcha Latte with oat milk and it did not disappoint! The matcha tasted high quality - I believe it's Uji matcha so you know it's the good stuff :). The "Surprise Cupz" came with a raffle ticket inside the cup which you fill out with your name and phone number and each Sunday, they will choose a random winner. I believe the prize will be a surprise box or some sort! Such a cute idea :) I ended up getting a Stitch stuffed animal/ keychain which I love! The cashier was also super sweet and helpful (sad I didn't catch her name!). The place in general is very clean and had a lot of claw machines for you to try to win cute stuffed animals. Definitely recommend stopping by - I would want to try their snacks next time since they look delicious!

Spacious, clean, and yay games! I like the Pokémon crane games! I can't believe I never been here yet! There's a deal buy one get one half off on specific items! The item was the watermelon sago and banana chocolate smoothie. So it worked perfect cuz that's the one I wanted. 7 and the other about $3 so for both like $10. Loved them they were delicious! I look forward to coming back! The owner was super friendly too!

Cute boba spot! Went here at 8 PM on a Saturday night and there was no one else there. There's some street parking around the area. The ambiance is a little drafty and empty, but maybe it would be more lively if it wasn't pride weekend. The pricing is about average for SF (in that it's expensive) compared to other boba shops, but a lot of their drinks come with boba included. You just order on a touchscreen kiosk and they bring you after a short wait. There's a few claw machines and little gacha machines. My friend and I got two Pokemon cards for $1 each, which was a cute little thing to do while we were there. There's some seating inside, but we took our drinks to go. I got their Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte with boba, and it was pretty decent! Still a little sweet for my taste, and the boba was a little soft but still had a good bouncy texture. If in the area, I would come again to try the other drinks!

The cutest place ever. Ordering is easy on a kiosk, and quick service. The place was cute and they had claw machines while you wait. The drinks themselves were pretty good as well.

Sweet Cupz is located at the corner of Miramar and ocean av. There is only street parking, but i was able to find plenty of street parking in the early afternoon. There's also a big area that you can hang out in too. There's a promotion for buy one get one free that was posted. You have to order from the cashier since the self kiosk did not have the option(i tried). I ordered the jasmine milk tea with zero sugar. There was amber amount of jasmine tea flavor. With zero sugar, i was able to taste that the boba was well marinated in brown sugar. The boba was chewy and appeared freshly made. With the bogo offer, this place is a must come for people buying 2 drinks.

This is my first time trying this place. It's on the corner of mirmar and ocean Ave. The parking is horrendous. The parking spaces are tight and small. When you enter They have a wide open space. They have 3 big TV screens showing the drink menus. But it does flash quickly between different menus. So if you have a problem visually seeing it then it's better to use the iPad to view the menu. The iPad is also where you order your drinks for contactless experience. They have two employees a the front that goes to the back to make the drinks and the hands you the drink when ready. There was a mother and daughter who was sitting at a table behind me. And the staff was so nice they walked the drink out to the customer. A++ service. I tried the brown sugar creme brulee, less ice. 75%sweet. It was delicious. It was just the right amount if sweetness. The tapioca pearls are the right amount of bounce and chew. I will definitely want to come back to try other items on their menu. They do offer food. They offer egg puffs and and poke bowls.

"I never said I was the best in anything. I never said I'm an icon. The world decides all of that." -Bad Bunny Shoutout to Rani Z. & Vanessa O. for placing Sweet Cupz on my Boba radar! I by no means consider myself a Boba aficionado, however I do have besties that are experts with the B! All I know is I want it fresh, as pure as possible, and of course prices on point! Enter Sweet Cupz! Located on Ocean Ave. it is easy to find on a Sunday. I managed to find parking a block away, but I can imagine some issues on the weekdays considering it's a high traffic area with the colleges, schools, and being between two residential areas. It's relatively newer and as I walked in lots of open space - which is somewhat of a new norm today. Several cafe tables spaced far apart and the typical order kiosk that's becoming more common. I was greeted as I walked in, but pretty much you're on your own at the kiosk. Having a bestie that has a typing speed of like zillion words per minute lol I know how these kiosks work. Being a warmer day after a cold night made me crave a fruitier tea! Boom they have! After perusing the menu I decide on Pineapple w Passion Fruit Jasmine Green Tea! No additional toppings, light ice, 50% sweetness. I didn't have to wait long as only one lady was waiting on her Waffle Dog and several others came in after me. Drink in hand I decide to take it for a walk to lunch nearby. First sips are everything with these drinks and my first sips on the Pineapple w Passion Fruit Jasmine Green Tea was errrrrthang I craved on a surprising warmer day! The drink was so delish that I had to sit down lol! Refreshing and of good quality loaded with fruit! For $5.50 Rani says it's a deal... I say hella lol! Shhh... I recommend Sweet Cupz to all! Menu diverse and it's roomy. Tho I'd suggest adding more tables inside since there's lots of wasted open space. Tbh its a 4.5-stars rating, but I lean to 4-stars 'cause the employees were consistently just okay to everyone that walked in. Not rude, just like, just there lol. Still a deal for Tea!

Fresh Milk Tea With Brown Sugar Boba ($6) & Strawberry Yogurt Slush ($6.50)

Ocean Ave has never had a "good" boba shop, but Sweet Cupz is probably the first solid spot to open. I've tried a large portion of their menu so far and have never hated any drink! They use fresh ingredients (think housemade purées & fresh fruit) in their drinks which really brings out the flavors. The boba pearls are also so well made, super soft yet bouncy with a hint of sweetness - just how pearls should be! Not to mention, $6 for a large boba in SF!?? I can't believe that's considered a good deal now, but you really can't find good boba (with fresh ingredients) that cheap in the city anymore. Sweet Cupz def gets brownie points for reasonably pricing their menu! Docking 1 star because I ordered a drink at 50% sugar level & it was definitely way sweeter than that. I cant stomach drinks that are too sweet so unfortunately couldn't finish it, but the flavor of the drink was potent & amazing!! If you're in the Ocean Ave area, Sweet Cupz is def the best boba spot to visit! (:

Located at the corner of Miramar and Ocean Ave, Sweet Cupz has a pretty good location. It's always clean inside, and the people working at the counter are always really nice. Their boba is probably the best I've had so far in the city. It's crazy how many boba shops are on Ocean Ave in such a short stretch (6 boba shops within ~ 1 mile stretch). I've tried all of them and IMHO Sweet Cupz has the best tasting milk tea with boba. Their buy 1 get 1 few is also awesome! I hope they stay in business forever!

Terrible tea w no taste of tea... look at how white the tea is

Tea doesn't taste like tea. Got oolong and jasmine... taste like watery sweet milk. You can already tell from the color there's no tea.

The drink took about 25-30 minutes to be prepared so don't come in a hurry!! I inserted the straw into the bottom of my cup and sucked. Nothing came out. I had to suck with more strength, due to the thick consistency of the drink. Finally, a gelatinous, slimy and sort of sweet substance came out of the tip of the straw. You do have to work for it due to the thickness of the drink, it's not liquidy. The actual matcha had a strong and smooth taste but to be honest was a little too concentrated which made it a bit astringent. This drink was truly a journey for the mouth. Usually a drink is about taste but this one was much more about tactility, or at least that's how it felt. Unfortunately the substance seemed to leave a strange metallic, unpleasant aftertaste that lasted for quite a while after finishing the drink. Texture: interesting taste:2.5 , it was new to me but i wouldn't have it again aftertaste : gross The next drink ordered was some sort of blue mango coconut concoction. Every menu item had a grandiose name so i'm not sure the exact one but it was a mango coconut slush. They white jelly substance was back and taking charge in the bottom of the drink. Along with the strange substance was a plethora of white tasteless balls. Not like traditional boba, but not bad. the flavor of the drink was good, a bit too coconuty for my liking but it was fine. The real problem was the radio of (balls + substance) : drink... way too high! i barley had any sips that had more drink then texture additives. The taste was good, but texture was off, and my stomach was not too happy after ingesting the whole thing in about 10 minutes.

Given that, it doesn't escape me that it took just a matter of months for my next visit to happen again. No real rhyme or reason as to why it didn't take nearly as long this time, but I'd be lying if I said that the Ube Halo Halo we tried didn't have something to do with it. While it ultimately wasn't what we ordered, the memory of what we had definitely got us excited to try more when my friends suggested coming here! Compared to the location over on Geary (and the one in Westminster, for what it's worth), this Bambu is better in just about every way. Sure, it helps that it's still relatively new (they opened about eight months ago?), but it's undoubtedly cleaner, feels a whole lot brighter, is a bit more conveniently located, and, most significantly, has way more parking available nearby. As for the menu, it had pretty much all of the usual offerings that you'd expect to find at any of their locations - che desserts, milk tea, fruit teas, waffles, macarons, and Vietnamese coffee. -- MANGO HALO HALO - Green Jello Base with Coconut Meat, Coconut Milk, Red Tapioca, Jackfruit, Egg Pudding, Crystal Boba, Mango Jelly, Pandan Jelly, Nata de Coco, and Topped with Mango Ice Cream While it didn't impress quite like the Ube Halo Halo did, this was still really good. Between all of the mangos (vs ube) and jellies, this felt a lot fruitier and lighter. However, it also didn't feel quite as creamy as the Ube one did, which I kind of missed. -- VIETNAMESE EGG COFFEE Sadly, the coffee is a pre-made mix, so they weren't able to modify the sweetness, but I appreciate that they added plain coffee to help dilute it. Even then, though, this ended up being really sweet. Loved how creamy the egg foam made this, though. Despite how I genuinely like this particular Bambu, I don't know how often I would come back since I don't typically crave che desserts and other places usually come to mind first when I think of where to get milk tea. However, should the urge or occasion arise to go to a Bambu again, I wouldn't hesitate to come back to this one, especially so that I can give their Yoonami Drinks, Smoothies, and Ube Mochi Waffle a try!
