Line for BOGO April 9th all day
    Jack R.

BOGO free today only for their new Yuzu Jasmine tea. As you can see from the line at 11am when they opened it was quite a wait. About a 40 minute wait with my coworkers. No online ordering or kiosk orders to get this BOGO just an FYI. Drink was refreshing and even with ZERO sugar (my choice), it still tasted great. Jasmine was light and the Yuzu was bright. Hey that rhymes! My preference is their coconut water drinks and their kale drink if they didn't have this promotion.

Going shopping for groceries and food in San Francisco on a hot day can be busy and sometimes chaotic. So I took a trip to DC ( Daly City). I decided to go to Westlake Shopping Center to do some shopping in neighboring Daly City. You will find hella restaurants such as Tiny Sushi -Oh Baby , KanKiin Restaurant Thai, or grab some pho at Pho Huynh Hiep 3 - Kevin's Noodle House. There is a place to beat the heat with a refreshing drink. These beverages come in all flavor. It's called HeyTea ( not Haiti). Since I been waiting for the Stonestown location of HeyTea to open I decided to go to the closest HeyTea location in Daly City. Inside there was an electric crowd of Boba lovers waiting to get some cups of joy. I decided to try the Supreme Matcha since Don Juan De La Matcha enjoys trying different types of matcha. It was smooth and not too sweet. Every sip was tasty. I then I got the Cloud Mango. It was juicy and delicious . It was not too sweet and it was very refreshing. Overall this place is a good place to get some boba all four seasons. Next time I have to find out where to get Westlake beef soup at Westlake. They say Boba a science I say it's more like a work of art like a "Van Gogh" with a different "angle" with flavors dance in your mouth like the "tango" with flavors like Don Juan's de la matcha HeyTea Supreme Matcha and HeyTea Cloud "Mango" HeyTea is one the best electric Boba places "around "at Westlake Shopping Center in Daly City it can be "found" and it's located less than mile from San Francisco County "ground", Now I am waiting for the HeyTea to open in San Francisco location at "Stonestown"

King Jasmine Gauva and Cloud Matcha Latte

Second time at Heytea and it's always pretty consistently good. Tried the new jasmine guava and the matcha latte. Jasmine Guava was a bit light on the guava flavor for me but the matcha was excellent. Not too sweet and a great earthy matcha flavor that really came through. Overall, the drinks here are not super sweet with the default option which I appreciate and there is an option for zero calorie sweetener. However, I think their boba is a little on the soft side without much chew, which is not my preference. In addition, the lines here are super long so definitely order ahead. They are pretty fast with the drinks. Lastly, the drinks are expensive. Almost $20 for two drinks after tax and tip so this place is on the expensive side for drinks but the quality is high. Overall: 4.3/5

    Cheese brown sugar boba milk

Very popular boba tea spot in Westlake Village. We tried the cheese brown sugar boba milk which was very tasty and a nice mix of salty and sweet. The brown sugar boba itself was delicious and perfectly soft and chewy. Highly recommend ordering using the HeyTea app since waiting in line can easily add another 10 minutes to your wait--we came in a busy Saturday and waited about 25 mins or so for our order to come out after placing the initial order. The team at HeyTea was firing on all cylinders and managing over eighty orders--they did an amazing job at staying calm and being as efficient as they could be. The place itself is cute and clean. Be ready to grab and go as there is not really any seating available. We're looking forward to visiting again!

I willingly drive from SF to Daly City just for this -- I love the rise of tea-forward boba shops like Heytea, where each of their drinks is well crafted and the high quality teas are the star of the show. This place can get a bit busy, and orders can take on the longer side, but I think it is worth it! Drinks I'd recommend: Triple supreme matcha latte -- Very, very indulgent and rich, and really more of a dessert than a drink, but absolutely delicious. Homemade warm matcha mochi ("goo", as we call it) is my favorite part of this drink, aside from the high quality matcha latte it rests in. The matcha mochi creates such an interesting texture to the drink, especially with the matcha jelly bits also included. Jasmine milk tea with boba -- Always a good choice, jasmine flavor is strong. Jasmine milk tea with matcha cloud -- If you're craving Molly Tea and can't make it out to San Mateo, they do it quite well here too. Though, I like the jasmine flavor at MT more.

I had seen Heytea all over Tiktok, so was excited to give it a try! I'm more of a fruit tea person, so was bummed they didn't really have fruit tea options but I opted for the Mango Grapefruit Boom. I wasn't the biggest fan of the coconut part, but I loved the fruit part with the mango as well as the pieces of fresh grapefruit in it. I ordered the drinks online, and it was ready shortly after I arrived at the store. Also, if it's your first time going, sign up for their app, because you get great discounts your first visit!

The drinks here never fails your taste buds. You want milk tea? They got it. You want fruit tea? They got it. Heytea always has new drinks coming out every couple months or so. My go to is the coconut mango boom or the kale boost. I always order one the app, so I know when it's ready to pick up. It's always packed inside the store just because their drinks never miss. There are some table while you wait. I wished they have some snacks, but they're already busy as it is. The employees are always quick with it. I love coming here.

A pretty decent spot! I've gotten a couple drinks here before, and my fave is the mango sago coconut drink! Not too sweet, and lots of mango bits! Their matcha is okay, I wouldn't get it again, but fixed my matcha craving. The line can get really long, so highly recommend ordering on the app ahead of time. Even then, it can take a while to get your order. Lots of parking in the area, but it can get fairly congested in this plaza. A couple of seats and standing tables, truly for a grab and go!

Shoutout to the guy that got his order wrong and gave it to me for free lol!

Every time people ask me about Hey Tea, I can't quite pinpoint what to say, as it's one of those places that's pretty hyped, so it feels like there's nothing new to add. But when I find myself craving it specifically, I realize it's really the quality and consistency that keep me coming back. I mostly come here for their matcha drinks because I find they genuinely have good-quality matcha. My usual go-to: Triple Matcha Cloud (Matcha milk tea, matcha jelly, matcha mochi, and matcha cloud foam.) Honorable limited-time mention: Iced Matcha Jasmine Latte DRINKS: 9/10 SERVICE: 8/10 AMBIANCE: 8/10 DRINKS: 9/10 They've got a huge variety of drinks, from fruit teas to milk teas and fun seasonal specials like Coconut Mango Boom and Matcha Jasmine Latte that are worth trying. I liked how flavorful my drink was and not too artificial. If you're into fruit‑forward or unique boba drinks, this place delivers. Just be ready for a bit of a wait during peak times, as it can get busy, and lines sometimes stretch out the door. SERVICE: 8/10 Staff are always hustling, especially when it's crowded, so just give yourself extra time. Ordering through the app can help speed things up. AMBIANCE: 8/10 It's a clean, modern kiosk‑style setup inside and not a huge sit‑down lounge, but a cool place to grab your drink on the go or hang nearby and sip. It's usually buzzing with people, especially on weekends, so it definitely has that lively vibe. If you're into creative bubble tea and refreshing flavor combos, this is a solid choice in Daly City.

Bobo Milk tea with tea and no sugar
    Jaylene L.

Hey Tea's new Tiramisu Milk Tea is my new favorie drink. I ordered it without sugar, and the balance was perfect--the tea itself is smooth and not a bitter(black tea), and the tiramisu cream top adds just the right amount of richness and sweetness without being overwhelming. It feels indulgent but still light enough to enjoy anytime. Every time I walk into the store, I love the clean, fresh tea aroma--it immediately sets the mood and makes me wanna try more drinks! That said, there's almost always a line when ordering in store. Even when ordering through the app, it usually takes around 20 minutes for the drink to be ready, so plan ahead. Overall, great flavor and quality as expected from Hey Tea. The wait time is the only reason it's not a full 5 stars, but I'd definitely order again. The recent collaboration with Pop Mart makes the brand even more popular in China and US!

Service: (3/5) This location by far the most inconsistent overall. I only return to this location out of convenience. My drink was made incorrectly a couple of times, but thankfully one of those instances I caught their mistake of forgetting the matcha cloud before leaving the plaza, which they corrected and added on. Their online ordering & rewards system is often down at this store. Upon inquiring about it, they mentioned that all locations owners along with their systems vary. Their staff specifically mentioned that their manager turns off their online ordering "when they feel like it" which I found rather appalling. During one visit, I was made aware that their rewards system was down and the staff ensured me himself that he would restore the sparks I did not receive from that order at the end of the day. I was skeptical of this at the time, and inquired about my missing sparks during another visit only to realize that there was no way they could restore the sparks after all. I'm disappointed to know that their staff is very misleading. Ambiance: (2/5) Often very crowded at the entrance depending on the time of the day. Minimal seating inside. No restrooms inside. Drinks: (5/5) Their drinks are amazing here after you explore and discover your go to drink. After a couple of visits, I discovered my favorite drink being the Jasmine Tea Latte with strong tea, iced, remove ice, no sugar, and add matcha cloud. My favorite aspect of Hey Tea is the numerous variations and customizations that they offer for their drinks, specifically their no sugar, no ice, and cloud options which makes it so unique. In addition to their customizations for their drinks, you can also get different "cups" which I realized were just labels/stickers and they also offer tea sipping straws. I believe they used to have a Cloud Jasmine Tea Latte option that I wish they restored to their menu. Other notable mentions would be their Mango Boom.

    Janet T.

I ordered online from the app since there was a line out the door to use the kiosk. My first time at this location. There were 36 drinks ahead of my order and the wait time was 13 minutes to get my drink per the app notification. I got the Mango Grapefruit Boom and it didn't disappoint. I shopped around the area for 13 minutes until I got a notification from the app stating my drink was ready for pickup. Ordering online is the way to go at Hey Tea if you don't want to wait for your drink.

    Wendy C.

I recommend ordering online on the app before coming by to pick up. There is usually a wait to get the drinks due to many orders ahead. I got the triple matcha supreme latte with less sugar, no matcha jelly and less matcha mochi. The drink was more like a dessert with the mochi bits than an actual matcha latte. I recommend no toppings for that drink. The matcha flavor was pretty strong which I enjoyed. Decent boba/dessert spot if you enjoy fruity or matcha/tea drinks.

Chicha San Chen is the super hyped bubble tea shop from Taiwan that's apparently won a bunch of tea…read morerelated accolades that I won't pretend to be remotely familiar with. Their ordering system is entirely via two kiosks, which can be annoying if the customers ahead are slow, ordering a bunch of drinks, or both. They really should have a policy for cashiers handling smaller orders (2-3 drinks or less) and forcing kiosks only for larger groups. The estimated wait times vary pretty wildly, so take their posted estimates with a grain of salt. It stated 15-20 minutes when I was there, but it took about 25 (and we were just the 2nd group in line, though there were clearly tons of queued orders already with people standing around or sitting waiting). When we finally got our drinks, the Classic Ding Dong Oolong Milk Tea and the Milk Tea with Taro Balls and Taro Paste, I was expecting really prominent tea flavor like you get from the best milk teas in Taiwan and HK, especially given their hand-brewing process for each cup (which partly explains why wait times balloon). Sadly, I got very little tea flavor from either drink. That said, the fresh taro paste and taro balls were very tasty, with the balls having fantastic QQ chewiness. Prices are a bit much though, at almost $10 for that drink alone. I honestly think they could cut costs on gimmicks like the rope carriers (cute for influencers, but pretty useless and likely jacks up the price for regular customers). One silver lining from the long wait is that we spilled over into a free tea tasting slot. Miranda was fantastic as our guide as she was super friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. She walked us through how their Lishan Oolong Tea (sold separately, not used for in-store drinks) is harvested and sun-baked into 5 different varietals, each with unique colors, aromas, and tastes (and following the sun both literally and figuratively in terms of names and descriptors). Overall, it's a fun experience if you enjoy that sort of thing (and your wait happens aligns with a tasting slot or you can always a reserve ahead of time as well), so 5 stars for Miranda and the tasting, but the actual milk teas were lacking and a disappointment given the hype, cost and wait.

Given that, it doesn't escape me that it took just a matter of months for my next visit to happen again. No real rhyme or reason as to why it didn't take nearly as long this time, but I'd be lying if I said that the Ube Halo Halo we tried didn't have something to do with it. While it ultimately wasn't what we ordered, the memory of what we had definitely got us excited to try more when my friends suggested coming here! Compared to the location over on Geary (and the one in Westminster, for what it's worth), this Bambu is better in just about every way. Sure, it helps that it's still relatively new (they opened about eight months ago?), but it's undoubtedly cleaner, feels a whole lot brighter, is a bit more conveniently located, and, most significantly, has way more parking available nearby. As for the menu, it had pretty much all of the usual offerings that you'd expect to find at any of their locations - che desserts, milk tea, fruit teas, waffles, macarons, and Vietnamese coffee. -- MANGO HALO HALO - Green Jello Base with Coconut Meat, Coconut Milk, Red Tapioca, Jackfruit, Egg Pudding, Crystal Boba, Mango Jelly, Pandan Jelly, Nata de Coco, and Topped with Mango Ice Cream While it didn't impress quite like the Ube Halo Halo did, this was still really good. Between all of the mangos (vs ube) and jellies, this felt a lot fruitier and lighter. However, it also didn't feel quite as creamy as the Ube one did, which I kind of missed. -- VIETNAMESE EGG COFFEE Sadly, the coffee is a pre-made mix, so they weren't able to modify the sweetness, but I appreciate that they added plain coffee to help dilute it. Even then, though, this ended up being really sweet. Loved how creamy the egg foam made this, though. Despite how I genuinely like this particular Bambu, I don't know how often I would come back since I don't typically crave che desserts and other places usually come to mind first when I think of where to get milk tea. However, should the urge or occasion arise to go to a Bambu again, I wouldn't hesitate to come back to this one, especially so that I can give their Yoonami Drinks, Smoothies, and Ube Mochi Waffle a try!
