Mango smoothie & Thai tea with salted crema

Bobaville is one of my favorite places to get drinks just because they don't use any artificial ingredients. They brew the tea from scratch. So the quality of the drinks here are exceptional! 10/10

BOBAVILLE in Daly City is fav on hot days to run by for my boba fix. Less expensive than most the other places but it's as good and refreshing with all the combos milk or fruit teas plus add-ons! Order via contactless kiosk and then wait for your order. Or pop out to your car for a text. Staff is always nice and friendly. Space is bare and spare but I'm here to order, pick up and go! P.S. The MANGO KING is wildly popular but I'm saving my calories for that one Lol!

Walked in wasn't greeted or acknowledged there was 2 workers and no other customers. There was powder all over the surfaces in the back and on the floor like they spilled something and didn't clean it up.

When I first walked in, I noticed a strong smell that reminded me of a bathroom, which was a little off-putting. I ordered the Matcha Strawberry, and for my taste, it came out a bit sour and not quite what I expected. My partner also asked for his drink without boba, but it still came with boba in it. What surprised us even more was that we were the only ones there, and they still got the order wrong. Overall, the experience was disappointing, but I think it could be much better if the drinks were double-checked before serving and the flavors were balanced a little more.

It's 2025 and I still really enjoyed Bobaville and their homemade boba. Easy, contact free ordering at their kiosk by the entrance. Location is well taken care of, clean and plenty of parking in the plaza lot. Boba is consistently fresh, chewy and the best and only drink I order is their Mango King Large at 100% sweetness, and add boba. The mango ice cream and sweet cream makes it so creamy! Staff is always friendly. Had a short few minute wait for my drink and left a happy camper. If you're in the area, Bobaville is a fantastic spot to stop by for a freshly made drink.

Quality drinks, and value is good. Staff is nice, and service is efficient. Store is clean.

I am obsessed with the Mango King and have returned multiple times for it. They offer ice cream and drinks which you don't find as frequently, and is nice to make the place stand out. I've gone this place with my friends where they said some drinks are very good and some weren't so great, so I feel it really depends on what you get and also your personal taste. They all agreed the Mango King was good, my partner said the Thai tea was good, but my friend said their fruit tea was not good. So really depends. My strongest critique is that the interior of this place sucks. It is very dull and the ground looks very beaten up. The only seating is an extremely uncomfortable and small bench and they don't even have a single table to sit at with your drinks, despite having room for at least one or two small ones. So you can only really pick up a drink here. You can't hang out and have to go somewhere else with your drink, which is rather disappointing since I like to hang out at boba places with my partner and friends. One more critique is that I noticed frequently for drinks that do not have ice cream in it, they will put a flat lid, which is fine if you don't have large toppings because a smaller normal straw fits perfectly fine in the lid, but for the thicker Boba straws when you go to push the straw into the lid , the drink pops out and gets everywhere making a huge mess and wasting some of your drink. It should be common sense for them to not to put the flatter lid, made for normal, thinner straws, for a drink that has large toppings and will need a bigger straw, but the employees don't seem too passionate or approachable. They're always quiet and seem to avoid eye contact, just swiping your drinks on the counter and walking off. So long story short, some drinks are good, some are eh (from what I was told), the interior is ugly, and customer service isn't the best. So the place is okay, I come only for the mango king drink when in the mood for it.

Passion fruit puree with oat milk and added boba

The bobas are clear but they do taste like the regular black bobas. The bobas are a little small (I like them bigger :) and non-uniform. The texture of the boba are fine. I got the passion fruit puree with oat milk. It looks like they use real passion fruit puree with little bits of seeds. It was a tasty, light drink. It came out to be about eight bucks for a 24 oz. I don't drink tea so I can't speak to that. The tops are not sealed FYI. They used detachable plastic lids.

Customers have the option to place their orders either at the kiosk situated right in front of the entrance or at the counter. Choosing the counter might entail a longer wait due to all employees actively engaged in preparing beverages; there isn't a designated cashier. On a Thursday afternoon, ample parking was available, albeit the spaces being somewhat compact. During our visit, only two patrons were waiting for their drinks. There's only one bench to sit on for 2 people. Orders can be placed for pickup via their website, contributing to potential waiting times despite the seemingly sparse occupancy. Nevertheless, our drinks were served within a five-minute timeframe from the moment of ordering. I tried the Hong Kong Milk Tea with normal ice, boba, and 75% sweetness. I intend to revisit and try it with reduced ice and standard sweetness, as the initial experience rendered it somewhat diluted and needing a sweeter taste as HK milk tea should be. (That's my bad for ordering incorrectly) Moreover, the Avocado Smoothie with boba was significantly more favorable. Notably, the lightly colored boba was explained by the establishment's policy of not incorporating artificial food coloring.

I ordered the mango king. It was pretty good. I liked that it had cream and ice cream.

Located in a plaza and there's a lot of parking around. Went around 830pm on a Friday night and it wasn't busy. I ordered on a iPad and my drink came in ~6 mins. At first, I thought it was really sweet even though I chose 25% sweetness but as the ice watered down the drink, it started to taste better. I ordered the Boba + Milk (oat). The boba was amazing. Super chewy. It's way different than the common boba you find at other shops. Iykyk. Just try it! Overall the drink was really good when it wasn't so sweet. I would def come back!

    Mango Summer Tea
    Janessa M.

I got their Mango Summer Tea with Lychee Jelly and it was a disappointing drink for me. I didn't know how sweet the drinks were, so I got 75% sweetness, but I should've got 50%. I wished the drink had more of the jasmine tea flavor, all I tasted was the mango purée and lychee jelly with a small hint of mint. The flavor of this drink fell flat for me since it just tasted like mango juice.

Their ordering system is entirely via two kiosks, which can be annoying if the customers ahead are slow, ordering a bunch of drinks, or both. They really should have a policy for cashiers handling smaller orders (2-3 drinks or less) and forcing kiosks only for larger groups. The estimated wait times vary pretty wildly, so take their posted estimates with a grain of salt. It stated 15-20 minutes when I was there, but it took about 25 (and we were just the 2nd group in line, though there were clearly tons of queued orders already with people standing around or sitting waiting). When we finally got our drinks, the Classic Ding Dong Oolong Milk Tea and the Milk Tea with Taro Balls and Taro Paste, I was expecting really prominent tea flavor like you get from the best milk teas in Taiwan and HK, especially given their hand-brewing process for each cup (which partly explains why wait times balloon). Sadly, I got very little tea flavor from either drink. That said, the fresh taro paste and taro balls were very tasty, with the balls having fantastic QQ chewiness. Prices are a bit much though, at almost $10 for that drink alone. I honestly think they could cut costs on gimmicks like the rope carriers (cute for influencers, but pretty useless and likely jacks up the price for regular customers). One silver lining from the long wait is that we spilled over into a free tea tasting slot. Miranda was fantastic as our guide as she was super friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. She walked us through how their Lishan Oolong Tea (sold separately, not used for in-store drinks) is harvested and sun-baked into 5 different varietals, each with unique colors, aromas, and tastes (and following the sun both literally and figuratively in terms of names and descriptors). Overall, it's a fun experience if you enjoy that sort of thing (and your wait happens aligns with a tasting slot or you can always a reserve ahead of time as well), so 5 stars for Miranda and the tasting, but the actual milk teas were lacking and a disappointment given the hype, cost and wait.

The drink took about 25-30 minutes to be prepared so don't come in a hurry!! I inserted the straw into the bottom of my cup and sucked. Nothing came out. I had to suck with more strength, due to the thick consistency of the drink. Finally, a gelatinous, slimy and sort of sweet substance came out of the tip of the straw. You do have to work for it due to the thickness of the drink, it's not liquidy. The actual matcha had a strong and smooth taste but to be honest was a little too concentrated which made it a bit astringent. This drink was truly a journey for the mouth. Usually a drink is about taste but this one was much more about tactility, or at least that's how it felt. Unfortunately the substance seemed to leave a strange metallic, unpleasant aftertaste that lasted for quite a while after finishing the drink. Texture: interesting taste:2.5 , it was new to me but i wouldn't have it again aftertaste : gross The next drink ordered was some sort of blue mango coconut concoction. Every menu item had a grandiose name so i'm not sure the exact one but it was a mango coconut slush. They white jelly substance was back and taking charge in the bottom of the drink. Along with the strange substance was a plethora of white tasteless balls. Not like traditional boba, but not bad. the flavor of the drink was good, a bit too coconuty for my liking but it was fine. The real problem was the radio of (balls + substance) : drink... way too high! i barley had any sips that had more drink then texture additives. The taste was good, but texture was off, and my stomach was not too happy after ingesting the whole thing in about 10 minutes.

They cleaned up pretty quickly as well when a table was finished. I wanted something a bit light so I opted for: 1) American Omelette(6.5/10)(~$12) - A decent and light breakfast plate. The omelette was a thin egg omelette a bit of a departure from your usual diner fare. The ham wasn't diced either, it was just 1-2 deli sliced ham placed in between with your choice of cheese(provolone, cheddar or swiss). For sides, you can either get a salad or potatoes. I went with the potatoes and they were grilled really well and seasoned just right. It also came with a sliced wheat bread. It was an okay dish, but if you want something more filling, I would try something else. 2) Drip Coffee(Small)(7/10)($2.75) - Just your usual house coffee. Overall, taste was good without it being overly bitter. A adequate cup of coffee that will wake you up in the morning. Price was very reasonable as well. 3) Pupusas(5.5/10)($4.50) - I ordered a pupusa to go as I wanted to give it a try for lunch. It was an okay pupusa; I ordered the chorizo one....but couldn't really find it in the pupusa when I got home. Just refried beans. It was freshly made though since it took awhile to get it. The pupusas aren't on the menu in the cafe, but it is written on the board outside. It came with a bag of mild salsa and a bag veggies on the side. Overall, I've had better pupusas on the Mission and would skip this. A decent neighborhood spot to grab a quick bite if in the area!
