Happy Lemon has always been my favorite boba place to get the cheese foam. The black tea with cheese foam with matcha powder sprinkled on top is forever my go-to. If I crave for something more refreshing then I get the strawberry black tea with a lower sweetness. I don't shop at Serramonte much, but when I do go, Happy Lemon is always one of the stops for a drink and an egg puff... or what they call it, bubble waffle. read more

Not the best. I ordered their mango matcha twice now. The first time, I thought they made my smoothie watery on accident so I disregarded it. Today, I went again and ordered their mango matcha and it was very liquid'y. I'm pretty sure they gave me someone else's order bc it came out the second I finished ordering. Service was nice though. One of the better tea drink in the mall. Known for their cheese drinks, drink at a tilt. Currently, the drinks range from plain tea at $5.95 to speciality drink at $7.95. Order at the register and you somewhat need to scream since it is hard for the employees to hear. The line moves pretty quickly. A few tables on the side to sit in, definitely needs some maintenance and cleaning. Tried their August new items which was the mango sago ($7.95). Wished there was more mango in the drink. Overall, the drink was pretty good. Creamy with coconut milk and had plenty of sago and grapefruit bits. The topping prices are a bit inflated which are either $1 or $1.25. Happy lemon is always a reliable choice for boba, a bit pricier, but great options. read more

I like Happy Lemon because they're consistent no matter which location you go to. They never disappoint. My favorite is their dragon fruit drink, I just really like dragon fruit, and this one is so good. I always add the salted cream (crema) on top, and you honestly can't go wrong with it. Every time I order it, it tastes exactly the same, which I really appreciate. Overall, I just like Happy Lemon in general for the consistency. When I'm craving something refreshing, this is my go-to. read more

My friend and I were here at the mall and after some shopping, decided we needed some milk tea to keep us going. After looking around, we came to Happy Lemon. Service was quick and friendly, our order was taken right away. After about 5 minutes, our order came out and we sat and enjoyed them a bit before moving on. It was quiet inside the shop and it was relaxing after shopping around the mall. My usual order is the milk tea with salted cream, but I opted for the Okinawa Roasted milk tea this time around with boba. My friend got the milk tea with lychee jelly. We both enjoyed our drinks a lot. Overall, one of the nicer Happy Lemon that I've been to in terms of customer service and atmosphere. Looking for good boba to drink while shopping in a mall? Happy Lemon it is! Their Black Tea with Salted Cheese is one that you have to try! I also really like their Mango Matcha Smoothie with boba. All my friends give me weird looks whenever I order that drink but after trying a sip of mine, they're quite surprised that such a combo could taste so good. Their boba is always super fresh too! A great option for boba when you're shopping at Serramonte. Happy Lemon offers high quality and unique drinks. I love their salted cheese foam! My latest visit was for the Genshin collab, and this drink was soooo good. It blew me away. The service is always nice and well kept. Went in for the advertised bogo 1/2 off sale as advertised on the website and marketing email. Employee behind the counter said it didn't work at this location. On the plus side, this location of happy lemon has been the most consistent of the happy lemons I've visited, always good boba, quick service, and good tasting drinks. I stick to the fruit teas because the "milk" teas are non-dairy. read more

First time trying Happy Lemon. Hubs wanted to try the Vietnamese coffee with puff cream. He noted it was quite strong and the coffee quite bitter. He didn't finish it. I ordered the Strawberry matcha latte at 50% sweetness and less ice. Just the right amount of sweetness and I liked the bits of strawberry. read more

Happy Lemon drinks are always solid! A great go-to spot! My favorite is their Green tea with Salted Cheese. I usually swing by to grab one when I'm at the mall. However I noticed they recently changed the menu graphic so now the text is smaller and more difficult to see. Not great especially when it gets busy. read more

Easy experience ordering on app and picking it up. We were literally the only customers on a Tuesday noon time. We ordered a passionfruit green tea with lychee jelly; my 3 year old loves it. A little too sweet for my tastebuds at regular sugar. I asked 50% ice but it sounded like a lot of ice in the cup. We also ordered the salted cheese black tea, my ultimate favorite drink here. Happy Lemon is always a reliable spot for great quality tea drinks and over the years, they've really upped their milk tea offerings. I love that this is in the same mall as Target because that makes it an easy drink to grab and shop around (which is dangerous, I know). I went with their classic milk tea with soy milk and boba (half sugar and ice). My drink was well made and not too sweet. Boba was on the harder side today but this is likely from them trying to make a lot of it at once. Note: they use a non-dairy creamer by default but these are not vegan. If you're looking for a completely plant-based milk option, opt for their soy milk. read more

I went to this Happy Lemon location in the Serramonte Mall mainly because this is one of the stores that were doing the pop-up for the Genshin Impact collab so there was no doubt I was gonna go. It's an easy shop to get to as long as you don't go during busy hours. The inside is a good size and the decoration for the collab is really nice. The customer service is friendly and are nice enough to at least ask what sugar and ice level I want for my drinks. There isn't much difference for the collab sets, but I bought the $34.95 premium combo which is definitely a lot! It came with an in-game code, cup sleeve, a tumbler, etc. The drink itself was okay, but I made the mistake of ordering 100% sweetness at Happy Lemon because 100% is REALLY sweet which is on me and I should have seen coming. The drink is basically their class milk tea and it comes with boba and lychee which is an odd combo to me, but it kinda works. The whipped cream they use on top is pretty solid too. I wouldn't mind going here at all whenever I'm shopping at Serramonte. read more

A busy location within Serramonte Mall. I decided to come in and get a salted cheese green tea and a fresh lemon green tea. The salted cheese drink was so yummy - lightly sweet and refreshing, the barista also sprinkled a light dusting of matcha powder on top which gave it a very subtle bitter under note in the overall flavor profile, which I liked. The lemon green tea is waaayy too tart though. You have an entire lemon blended in it and it is a really strong taste. They also have very limited seating inside for how much foot traffic they get. read more

I was craving a lemon slushy so badly this past weekend when it was 100 degrees out, but gosh this lemon slush was too sour for me and also quite melted even though I drank it right away. I would've liked it to be more of a slush instead of a lemonade. The line was also insanely long, but I think they got through it as efficiently as they could. Like I said, it was hot! read more

Not all happy lemon locations taste the same this one is located inside the mall so it can get very packed. I was craving a fresh strawberry green tea with salted foam but it did not hit. They also don't have taro balls at this location. The drink was so sweet and the foam didn't taste right. My partner got the ube milk tea and said it wasn't good either. The boba was nice and chewy though. It did come in a bigger cup. Still disappointed. read more

Three words: CHEESE TEA ONLY cheese foam + tea never fails at happy lemon, but unfortunately that's the only thing good. We tried milk tea, Yakult tea, and none of them are good. Most of their drinks are WAYY to sweet, even with less sugar. Boba was also not done right and the texture was off. Props to the employees for answering our questions and remaking my overly sweet drink though! read more

I use to categorize happy lemon as having mid drinks, but I tried the most life changing drink last week and got it three other times since. I don't prefer overly sweet drinks or ones where I can taste the syrup abuse, but the Mango Orange Milk Tea will satisfy your sweet tooth needs. I was skeptical at first since it was not starred as recommended, but the worker described it similar to dimsum mango pudding and it tastes exactly like that. There are candied orange peel bits and the combination sounds strange, but trust me it's perfection. I'd like to note it comes with agar boba, but I usually substitute it for regular boba because I prefer more chewiness. I also get 0% sweetness since the worker warned me that it's on the sweeter side and personally that level is just right! read more

I'm giving 3.5 stars, the drink was watered down. I could barely taste any of the black tea. I really like that there was a thick layered of salted cheese so I wasn't fully upset. Yes, it's all over the suburbs and franchised across the the world. Prob near you! Happy Lemon at Serramonte Mall is convenient for me if I'm craving boba, I rarely crave it, so by no means am I a savant of chewy balls lol. This rather newer location is clean, bright, and have very Happy employees :D Always pleasant to me and answers any questions I might have. Like um what's that? Lol. I've been here several times always between errands or appointments in the area. I've had the Fresh Passion Fruit Mango Green Tea, Handcrafted Salted Cheese Ice Cream, and other Boba drinks. Today I got the Salted Cheese Green Tea and tried the Bubble Waffle. $6 for that Waffle but it's hella G! Nothing extravagant, just less sugar, and small/med. I love happy lemon, staff are nice. Usually always a little busy. I always get the salted cheese Jasmine tea- with or without boba. I like things on the sweet side so i get 100% sugar- but even 75% is sweet enough. Original bubble waffle is super good, 5/5. I've also tried the chocolate bubble waffle, which is good but leaves a interesting aftertaste, 3/5. read more

Great location (it's inside Serramonte Shopping Center) and there's usually a line. Thankfully, I came right when they just opened for the day and it was a weekday. They have so many great options that it was hard to decide on one. Decided to go for the kumquat lemon green tea as I wanted something tart and refreshing. It definitely hit the spot. I remember my first time trying HL way back then. The salted cheese caught me by surprise and I was then, hooked. I don't get it as much as I used to, but it still gets the job done. I'm pretty basic. My fave is their number one most popular drink black tea with salted cheese. Hahahaha. It consistently makes me happy, so it's obviously the winner. Their boba is nice and chewy, but I prefer my A2 just as is without boba. Customer service is A1. ;) read more

Was around the area and decided to make a pit stop at happy lemon. It was quite busy on a Saturday afternoon. They had lots of seating inside which was a plus. Got one of their top 10 drinks the mango matcha and it did not disappoint! Tasted super refreshing and not too sweet. Service was good as well. Would recommend getting a drink here while you shop around! read more

Located next to Uniqlo, in the Target wing of the Serramonte mall. There are a few tables inside the store for people to sit and enjoy their drinks, but it gets filled pretty fast. I usually order: Yakult green tea with lychee jelly or the salted cheese foam green tea. Lines can get long since it is inside of the mall, but the employees here make your drinks fast! read more

Strawberry Green Tea w/ boba - (M $6.50) I know Happy Lemon specializes in lemon inspired drinks, but I've always been more drawn to the salted cheese! My first time having salted cheese foam in boba was indeed from Happy Lemon, and now I am absolutely hooked. This time I ordered a classic Boba Milk Tea & added Tiramisu Salted Cheese to it. The milk tea itself has a strong tea flavor with a nice smooth creaminess, very reminiscent of Hong Kong milk tea! The Tiramisu Salted Cheese tasted more like a chocolate coffee foam with a slight saltiness, I couldn't really taste the cheesiness. It was good but I found that the flavor was a bit too strong and overpowered the drink. Next time I would just stick to the classic salted cheese. The Strawberry Green Tea comes with real bits of blended strawberries, and the tea taste is fairly strong as well. The drink itself was a bright vibrant red which makes me think there's some sort of artificial syrup, but it could very well just be the naturally bright red strawberries. I am a true Happy Lemon lover over Quickly any day at the mall. I will say as many times as I have gone here for their boba drinks, I was a bit disappointed with how my first drink just tasted like a super sweet cereal in a boba drink. I know ube is sweet but this was way too sweet for me though I asked for 25% sweet. This drink is the Ube milk tea with puff cream and taro balls in it and I wouldn't ever get this drink again. I love their puff cream drinks but this was just too much overall. If you love sweet and super sugary drinks, this one is up your ally. This drink only comes in a large by the way. The other drink I got was the milk tea Oreo tiramisu salted cheese which was actually delicious. I really like their salted cheese series and the 25% sweet was perfect for this drink. The people that work here are all very knowledgeable, nice, and actually greets people! If your in the area, I would recommend them. Not sure what the guy name was but he was wearing an orange shirt that says Arizona with a star on it (top right corner) of his shirt, he was young Caucasian male, he over heard my conversation with my mother about how I was stressed out about my day. And he asked me if I was stressed out about my father adding ice cream to his Thai ice tea. I thought that was funny, he turned my really bad day into a wonderful day. I felt way better. Simple kindness acts like that is what matters. He's great. He deserves a raise. He's always working when I come. He's absolutely awesome. Drinks always turn out to be fresh and very delicious. Establishment is always super clean and well put together. Staff members are always kind. Very helpful. Quick and efficient. Thank you Tea world staff for being the absolute best!

The quality will vary a bit depending on who the boba-rista is as well as time of day because the boba may be sitting if you come at the end of the day, but essentially it's the same product. I have completed a stamp card here, which is kind of an expensive journey, about $7 to $10 per drink. I have had no issues with the service here. The ambiance is very much take out, there is a small bench to sit on and two chairs next to a trash can. In my opinion this business is best enjoyed along with a walk!

Every Tuesday is Free Pumbo size! They have several locations, this one is located on Irving Street in the Sunset district. All the staff are super friendly and fast. When I was healthier, I would stop by 2 to 3 times a week on my way back from the pool I do physical therapy at for a smoothie or a vegan oat milk tea, and occasional less healthy delicious treat on my splurge day! Their seasonal food and drinks are always awesome and so tasty. The soft serve is dangerously delicious with the best flavors and seasonal sundaes. The staff is great - kind, friendly, helpful, etc. etc etc. As is the ambiance, the great music, and fun claw machines, merchandise, etc. What a wonderful gem in our neighborhood. I forgot to add the reason I like it so much is because you can adjust the sweetness level, they have more than one alternative vegan milk, and lots of ways to customize your order.
