Hands down the best açaí spot in town, because: 1. The açaí here is fresh and solid, not syrupy; 2. This place is consistently clean; 3. Large açaí is Large; 4. All fruits are fresh; 5. My daughter the Açaí Queen keeps making me take her here every chance she gets!
This is my go-to acai place whenever I'm craving it. I love how customizable the bowls are and there are a lot of options to choose from. Inside has some seats with two big tables. There are also no extra charges to add on anything.
The açaí was cold and the nuts were crunchy and granola was crispy. The Bananas and strawberries were fully ripe so they were perfectly sweet . The small bowl was filling. The taste was very good,The service was fast and efficient. I love that you can order in a kiosk so you can make your order fast and easy . A lot of younger people were around maybe because It's a weekend. So the place was pretty alive and fun.

They make the bowls in front of you, employees are very nice and they work really fast to get everyone's order done. Monday, 9:30am: I don't often go to Ocean Ave, but here I am, searching for breakfast. Acia R caught my eye with its sparkling clean interior, sadly, no chairs with back support. (Not everyone is 16). Impressed that all ingredients posted on the wall. I'm in. Bonus points for reasonable pricing. I usually hate ordering on a computer, but it was a breeze. The woman at the counter was super friendly. Thought I would write my review in house, but even after I asked for the password I couldn't understand her directions. Wish it was written somewhere. Maybe it was? I heard something about my receipt, but nothing written there. Anyway, glad to see this wasn't a laptop village. Most of the orders were pickup/ takeout. I took a risk & ordered Avocado Toast at an Açaí Bowl establishment. Score! Absolutely delicious. One slice of bread with an insanely generous amount of avocado, mixed with seeds & bits of cucumber adding a delightful crunch. Think I'm going to stop going to cafes on Monday. Bread was good, but tasted day old. Really loved the watermelon drink- no sugar added. Yay My loaded toast was presented in a to-go container, even wrapped the sando with cellophane to keep it from falling apart in transit. The acia bowls looked delicious, glad to see you can skip the sweeteners, keeping glycemic index in check. I've always been suspicious of food I can't pronounce, and those bowls looked like dessert. If I'm feeling adventurous this is the place I'll return to. No regrets.

Açaí R is my favorite place in the city to get Acai bowls. Plenty of options, good flavor and texture. Good price for the size, especially if you go for their medium or large. Medium comes with a lot! Fruit is always fresh, however this time the pineapple didn't taste very ripe. Food is out fast, but be warned that it does melt fast, so if you want it o be more solid, then you should it eat there. Can get busy with all the schools around but wait is never that long. I used to love this spot--always chose it over Palmetto for the fresh, high-quality açaí. But recently, it's been disappointing. Every time I order, the bowl is packed with way more granola than açaí or fruit. It honestly feels like I'm paying for a granola bowl, not an açaí bowl lol It's usually the same young Asian guy making it--he seems like a Gen Z kid who's still learning, and that's totally fine, but he definitely needs more training on portions. Two big scoops of dry granola, a tiny dab of almond butter, and barely any fruit or base? It's not enjoyable to scoop into a bowl and get mostly dry granola with no balance. If the owner sees this, I hope it's taken as constructive feedback. Customers are paying for açaí and fresh toppings, not filler. If this is how the bowls are going to be made, it would be more accurate to advertise them as granola bowls. Please help guide your staff to portion the bowls with the focus on what people actually come here for: the açaí and fruits. read more

Craving Açaí and ordered a build your own bowl with Açaí, Strawberry, banana, almond cacao butter, hemp, pineapple, and granola. Ordered online and they had it ready and stored in a little freezer when I picked it up. Açaí base was a good consistency, and the fruit were perfectly ripe and a great add. The hemp and granola added a nice texture. The almond cacao butter was tasty but unfortunately froze into a hard to eat chunk, so I'll likely skip this next time. Been trying to find a Palmetto alternative but unfortunately this is not the place. The service was terrible and I get that gen Z doesn't want to work but goodness, my bowl was a sloppy mess. No layers. The good though- black sesame butter which is such a delight! read more
Came here after a day at Fort Funston and I am extremely impressed. Parking is difficult but you can park across the street by Beep's Burger. We got watermelon juice and customized our own açaí bowl. They definitely nailed the watermelon juice and I absolutely LOVE LOVE their black sesame butter (can't find that anywhere else) and the blue spirulina! You can always get one of their recommend açaí bowls but if you're for it, highly recommend customizing your own or you can choose one from someone's else review and add your own twist to it. I've tried Palmetto and RAW and thought it was good, but after trying this place, I would say this is at the top of the list. Service can be slow but it's not terrible. Ambiance is nice inside w/ tons of seating available to do work/ hang out. Pricing is average I would say... and w/ that, I will definitely be back! read more
I came here yesterday night to try out their acai bowl and avocado toast. The avocado toast needed more seasoning throughout and I wasn't a fan of the cucumbers inside. On the other hand, I absolutely loved their acai bowl!! I got a medium size with strawberries, blueberries, banana, pineapple, chia seeds along with dried cranberries. It was absolutely delicious. The acai bowls were sooo good! My friend & I both got a small bowl, but he got the premade bowl (left one in the photo), and the chocolate in that bowl was SO good! And I got a create your own bowl (right one in the photo), and I attached a photo of what was inside my bowl - it was very good! You order on the kiosk and don't forget to get the receipt/number, because they will call your number out. There are a few tables and chairs to sit inside and enjoy your acai bowls. Also parking is street parking. My friend and I parked two blocks away in the neighborhood area and walked over. I would come here again if I'm ever in the area. read more

Best California fusion açaí! What really stands out to me about this açaí spot is that they offer black sesame butter as a topping. Black sesame is one of my favourite flavours, and it pairs so well with all the bases. Each build-your-own bowl is set at a fixed price based on size, and toppings are unlimited, so it's a great value. Everything from parking to ordering and enjoying the açaí is super easy. There's plenty of metered street parking along Ocean Ave, and I've often been able to park very close. You can order online or in person at their in-store kiosk. They have plenty of indoor seating in case you want to "dine in", and the place receives lots of sunlight, so it's a great space to hang out. Acai R is my favorite Acai place in the Bay. You get an amazing bang for your buck and the quality of the ingredients is definitely there. Highly recommend their mango coconut chia, flamingo chia pudding, and activated charcoal bases. They also have two different acai bases: the new one has less sugar. Been going here for a few years now whenever I'm craving something cold and sweet. Have had Acai from Palmetto Superfoods and places in Hawaii like Sunrise Shack and I still think Acai R is the best. The amount you get and the customization options you have when creating your own bowl are second to none. Service is great, if you order ahead, I have not experienced it not being ready when I arrive to pick it up. If you go in person, they'll make the bowl in front of you. Amazing açaí bowls! I recommend their mango coconut chia pudding with their new acai which is really good. Pretty decent price too for an acai bowl in the city. Theirs kiosks where you can order making it really easy and you can pretty much add whatever you want to your bowl. I've also tried their smoothies and I really enjoyed it however i did feel that it wasn't necessarily worth $10. I would definitely comeback for the acai bowls. What's the difference between 100% organic acai NEW and 100% organic acai ORIGINAL?
NEW has less sugar, healthier. Not quite as creamy as their original, but still good and not much of a difference.
How long can I keep it in the fridge and keep the consistency intacted or do I have to eat it right away?
Always best to eat right away--but if unable to, I suggest removing & refrigerating the toppings. Put acai part in the freezer. When ready to eat, let acai thaw a bit, add back toppings.
By the time I open it to eat at home, the butters have frozen. Should I microwave the butters to soften it again?

The only base that contains soy milk is overnight oats, all bases are non-dairy.
