Green Portal Juice + hemp protien
    Kelly S.

One word: smoothies This is right next to my Pilates class so I decided to stop by for a little smoothie to rehydrate and get some nutrients in. I got the: - green portal juice w hemp protein powder: kinda gross... taste like a blended vegan spring roll with all the veggies and herbs. I mean if it's really good for you, I'll take it... $10 ish 3/5 stars

    Purple Reign & green juice

Juice Portal is solid! The Purple Reign smoothie is my go-to -- super refreshing and tasty. Their almond butter toast is really good too, no idea what almond butter they use but it hits every time. There are a few seats inside if you want to study or just chill, and the service has always been great. Parking can be a little tricky, but it's worth the drive for me!

Such a bright and open place, there is indoor seating available. There usually isn't a line, so service is fairly quick. The drinks are always made fresh, just a tad pricey.

    Immune booster (orange, carrot, ginger)

I've been here a few times and always like to try something different. So far, everything I've tried has tasted really good! I like that it's not too sweet or too runny like some other places. The place is always clean and the staff is friendly. They have a single stall bathroom for customers and it's kept clean as well. Recently I came in for one of their immunity boosters and the goji tropical smoothie. I liked both because they had ginger in them, but it wasn't overpowering. I'm also a big fan of dates and a few of their smoothies have Medjool dates in them, so I was definitely excited to try one of those. Last time I was there I got the blue majik, and so far it's my favorite. I will definitely be back to try the other smoothies they offer.

Berry Good - Banana, Strawberry, Blueberry, and Oat Milk

Before coming to Juice Portal, when I would think of juice shops, this high-end spot in SoMa that my former co-worker used to go to would immediately come to mind. It was a rather small shop, without much else to offer, but their juices always looked appealing - fresh, organic, and creative. However, as good as they looked, it was hard for my head (and my wallet) to wrap around how pricey those small little bottles were. Not exactly the best memory to come away with, but in a twisted turn of events, it helped with my first impression of Juice Portal! Given my past experiences, I wasn't expecting much of anything beyond their juices, though I was certainly hopeful they had more to offer. So, it was more than a pleasant surprise to see that Juice Portal's menu was actually pretty large! In addition to the aforementioned juice options, you can also choose from an interesting variety of smoothies, acai bowls, grain bowls, soups, salads, toasts, and wraps. In other words, way more than I had reasonably hoped for...and yet I've only managed to try their smoothies... -- BERRY GOOD - Banana, Strawberry, Blueberry, and Oat Milk...$10 (20 oz) (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/juice-portal-san-francisco?select=NRk9zRmzkCPEZVuJIj24cw) It's one of their "simpler" smoothies, but this one was my favorite (what can I say - I'm a simple guy). Fresh, very fruity (the strawberries were faint), and I liked the texture - very smooth with a few chunks of fruit. Delicious! -- COCOA BLISS - Banana, Cacao Powder, Cacao Nibs, Ashwagandha, Himalayan Pink Salt, and Oat Milk...$8 (16 oz) (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/juice-portal-san-francisco?select=3wyqs1QG8VA7APpAwCSJ7A) I was super hopeful for this one, but it fell a bit short. While it wasn't "bad", it didn't have that classic chocolate and banana flavor that I love. Not sure if it was the cacao powder or the ashwagandha (or both), but it had an earthy, gritty kind of taste to it that I wasn't expecting. -- GOJI TROPICAL - Mango, Ginger, Orange, Goji Berries, Turmeric, and Pineapple Juice...$10 (20 oz) (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/juice-portal-san-francisco?select=Mc5d5ERQ5MwGeDo25Gh1vg) Just as tropical and delicious as it sounds. The orange, pineapples, and mango were so good and I liked the goji berries at the very end. If there was slightly less turmeric (it was pretty strong), this would've nearly perfect. Along with their smoothies, the other thing I like about Juice Portal is how friendly and accommodating the workers have been. In particular, one of them was super helpful with recommending a smoothie to my friend my first time here. Though, in the interest of fairness, it seems to take longer than I remember from my order to get made during my most recent visit. Plus, it's not like that sort of thing is going to deter me from coming back for another Berry Good smoothie...and to try their acai bowl!

    Lentil Veggie Soup

Right in my neighborhood, this is my go to place if I'm craving a smoothie or something whole, healthy and fresh. They don't add sugar or dairy creams into their smoothies, which I appreciate. My Smoothie favorites: PURPLE REIGN - Banana, blueberry, strawberry, peanut butter, maple syrup & almond milk. If you're a peanut butter fan, this one's for you! GOLDEN GATE - Pineapple, mango, medjool dates, lime, coconut water & beet juice. Tropical fresh goodness, the color is like a vibrant sunset! Also have ordered KID'S SMOOTHIE (Strawberry, banana, apple juice) for my granddaughter - she loved it. As for food, the LENTIL VEGGIE SOUP was solidly good. Straight forward healthy veggie soup. GREEN GODDESS SALAD - Lettuce blend, edamame, roasted Brussels sprouts, cherry tomato, scallions, cucumber, crushed almonds with a cashew based green goddess dressing, garnished with toasted quinoa. Lovely ingredients, tasty, I enjoyed this salad on a previous visit. The gentleman helping us was very friendly and helpful. My husband asked for a sample of the soup, which he graciously heated up for us to taste. He made our experience here an even better one!

16 OZ Berry Good Smoothie and Matcha Joy Smoothie
    Lexy A.

This smoothie place is a solid 4 stars! The smoothie was good and tasted fresh. The ambience is cute and the staff members were nice! I think the price is quite average for this area. My partner got the Matcha Smoothie which he said was very sweet. It was good but a lot sweeter than expected. I got the Berry Good which I really liked!!! They didn't sweet to blend it that well since there was a banana chunk at the bottom of my drink. But for $6 I thought it was pretty okay - nothing mind blowing though

This is your chance to try out wheat grass.

What attracted my attention several times while riding K Ingleside streetcar? Look on the right side and remember the name in capital letters. Juice Portal!! Here in West Portal Avenue, nothing in life can be boring once going out and buy what's more than just a refreshing drink. I would quickly get off from the West Portal Station, so that I could make my way to Juice Portal. Wheat grass shots, kombucha on tap, I feel like I want them all! Actually, how 'bout once per visit? (*w*). Before I head back home, it'd be exciting to try out Blue Majik. This is one smoothie that still needs alot of attention since Jamba Juice 2 years ago. There's absolutely nothing to complain about the funkiness from the chosen fruit blends, including traces of medjool dates. I love to have this drink again, either from Juice Portal or Jamba Juice. There's no further words to describe the atmosphere of Juice Portal, let alone the beautiful drawing of a peaceful West Portal Avenue. Neither do the customer service, since it's fair and friendly.

Super tasty açaí bowls, the base is so thick and yummy. I do think they need to find riper mango though.
