Decided to grab some, on a friday morning. There was one worker and as the reviews state, it is a tad bit slow to get your order. I ordered the purple reign smoothie and grabbed a juice from the fridge. The smoothie was to fill my stomach and the juice was very refreshing and hit the spot. Tasty smoothies. I usually get the Goji Tropical. It's the right amount of sweetness, though turmeric is sometimes strong. The thickness and texture is great. I often feel like I should get the smaller size, but I always end up drinking way more than I expect since it's so good! It's not the most affordable so I get it when I want a healthier treat, but that's the price of produce these days I guess. Service is usually quick. However, sometimes the indoors is too cold when I'm drinking my smoothies, whereas I came on a hot day it's extremely stuffy inside and they didn't have their outdoor seating set up either- not sure what's going on. The staff don't call out orders after they're made, so you need to pay attention to who ordered before you -- I almost grabbed someone else's order because they ordered the same thing! I saw a family order some acai bowls, so I will def be back to try those out next time. The smoothie itself was fresh and not too thick. The place is always clean and the staff is friendly. They have a single stall bathroom for customers and it's kept clean as well. Recently I came in for one of their immunity boosters and the goji tropical smoothie. I liked both because they had ginger in them, but it wasn't overpowering. What attracted my attention several times while riding K Ingleside streetcar? Look on the right side and remember the name in capital letters. Juice Portal!! Here in West Portal Avenue, nothing in life can be boring once going out and buy what's more than just a refreshing drink. I visited this location on a Wednesday afternoon. Per the employee's recommendation, I got the Golden Gate smoothie, then I made it a bowl with everything. The employee was also really patient with me since this was my first visit. I expected it be thicker like an acai bowl since I upgraded it to a bowl, but perhaps a bowl just meant a larger size. Either way, I liked the flavors and toppings (granola, coconut, goji, berries), but it was more like a soup and honestly difficult to eat with a small plastic spoon. For the size of the smoothie bowl and price, I don't think I would come here again if I want something like an acai bowl. I would probably visit again to try other items, or maybe just ask for a straw to drink the bowl instead. read more

Waited at least 15 minutes to pay the bill, went up to counter to pay and waited an additional 10 minutes just for change. The chicken and waffles was not the best, chicken was extremely over cooked and dry and the waffles were also just as dry, was told they had no dipping sauces either. Really good food is sold and prepared here. Unfortunately, their employees are terribly under trained. They don't know anything about how their products are prepared. It seems every time I come in here there is a new poorly trained employee who is running the order taking process while managing the POS system. Also the manager is not very nice. I complained to the manager for the orders taking 20-25 minutes. He got very aggressive with me and started pointing at me while telling me that it's so hard for them to work efficiently. I'll never visit this place again. They think that their customers are a luxury. They are sadly mistaken. There are hundreds of competitors. Maybe they need to hire more people to speed up their process. Like most other hospitality businesses today they are massively understaffed and train their staff terribly. read more
