They have a "Free Scoop of Ice Cream" with the posting of a Yelp Review as an FYI offer, via a sign on the table. This place has table menus but just for viewing and not for ordering. The downside of this location is, socially it's very loud or rather has customers who talk loudly and it's hard to carry a polite or private conversation without the ambient sound of customers annoying you due to their volume. It's generally "A-OK" okay without inherent issues of noise due to crowds which might in fact inherently be a testament for being a good spot to convene at for desserts because it attracts customers. I'm nothing if not predictable. Slightly earthy & not sweet enough, which I usually like, but this needs a skosh more sugar. Perusing the massive menu of Asian desserts is a daunting chore to tackle. Aside from my drink, I had their Mango Pancake which comes two to an order & is not a pancake in the traditional sense. Wrapped in a thin crepe is way too much whipped cream & a too-small piece of mango. It looks like a yellow brick, & if you consume the entire thing, it'll feel like one in your stomach, too. I was close to giving Sweethoney 2-3 stars because over the years, I have seen how their portions shrunk and quality decreased (hard sago, mushy glutinous balls and icy mango desserts). From using actual bowls and utensils to shrunkened portions using smaller take out containers after the pandemic. I kept forgetting to post my review so here I am with the latest update. I typically doordash from Sweethoney, but I forget how small their containers have gotten and I regret wasting money instantly. Recently, I have seen a change in their togo containers and it is now the appropriate size for the pricing. I even dined in a couple times recently and not only did the quality improve, so did their portions. No more small take out containers anymore! I love their vanilla frost with mangoes and black glutinous rice and a scoop of matcha ice cream and their mango sago pomelo! First time here for some snacks and dessert. The Thai curry fish balls were yummy, had a good kick! I would get those again. The coconut milk sago came cold and was good. I asked at the end of my meal if can come hot and they said you can request it. Wish it was offered cold or hot when I first ordered but now I know for next time. The chocolate filled eggettes were crispy. The chocolate was a little overly sweet and bitter for my taste. But I'll definitely get the other eggettes next time. We keep forgetting that they don't offer it anymore but it keeps coming up when I search for Japanese soufflé pancakes. I appreciate their waitlist program as there is always a wait when we go on a weekend night. You enter your phone number and details on the kiosk and you'll get a text when your table is ready. (There is a Ross right next door to kill time at.) Their menu is very extensive with so many sweet and savory options. It's almost too big because you need a good while to go through it all. And it looks like they have seasonal items too! Their latest menu has these gorgeous photos which make everything look so good. However, everything is served in takeout containers and disposable utensils despite dining in. It's not my favorite way to get my food as it just doesn't look as appetizing, especially when their menu has all these pretty pictures. And let's not even address all the trash that's happening. Such an underrated place, although it's very busy I feel like more people should know about this place. It's such a cozy vibe and on a rainy day, dessert like this it is perfect. TLDR; trying to make it on a less busier day, always get the mango pancake or a drink with any dessert. It gets pretty busy but we made it before the line, so we had no wait. There's so much on the menu to choose from. I get something different every single time but one thing that I always get is the mango pancakes, although the whipped cream is super heavy(I'm lactose intolerant) it's too good to not order. This time I felt a little sickly and I wanted something warm so I got the black sesame and red bean soup with sesame glutenous rice balls, hit the spot. We got the calamari and curly fries which were quite greasy and under seasoned, and I can still feel the heaviness after a few hours from when I last ate.
