    M2. Mango Pomelo Sago

This is a cozy little place for Chinese HK style desserts (mango, grass jelly, pomelo, strawberries, topped by ice cream or a ton of other combos, eggettes and MUCH more ). Basic savories like fries, onion rings, curry fish balls are also on the menu. - good too. Extremely popular and always busy, but fast friendly service once seated. But it gets crowded here fast especially after 9pm on weekends! You get a tablet where you scroll through the humongous menu. My recent favorites include: Y10 - Yuzu Yogurt Parfait from their parfait series. It's the perfect healthy-ish treat for me here. I love the crunchy rice bits in it and the fresh chunks of grapefruit and strawberries with the yogurt and yuzu. V7 - Toddy Palm & Vanilla Frost - Excellent! I love the icy texture of the frozen ice cream in contrast to the soft Toddy Palm seeds. Again, the dessert menu is so huge here, you are bound to find something for almost every taste.. Pro tip: Shop or browse at the Ross clothing store next door while u wait! Lol! Verdict: Yup.. this is a regular stop for us!

I'm sitting here chuckling to myself; a picture I posted years ago reminded me that the only other time I came to Sweethoney, I ordered the same drink I had this most recent visit -- an iced Purple Yam Sago Milk. I'm nothing if not predictable. Slightly earthy & not sweet enough, which I usually like, but this needs a skosh more sugar. Perusing the massive menu of Asian desserts is a daunting chore to tackle. Aside from my drink, I had their Mango Pancake which comes two to an order & is not a pancake in the traditional sense. Wrapped in a thin crepe is way too much whipped cream & a too-small piece of mango. It looks like a yellow brick, & if you consume the entire thing, it'll feel like one in your stomach, too. Close-together tables. Two servers -- one lovely, one not. I'm in no rush to return.

Great place for Asian desserts. Extensive menu, free lot parking, good amount of seating, friendly staff. I would say this place is better than Golden Island but I also haven't been there in years. I really enjoyed the order I got with grass jelly, mango, chewy taro balls, and snow/milk. Watermelon sago was nice and refreshing. Mango sago was alright (probably much tastier when the mangoes are in season). They use fresh honey/ataulfo mango.

I was close to giving Sweethoney 2-3 stars because over the years, I have seen how their portions shrunk and quality decreased (hard sago, mushy glutinous balls and icy mango desserts). From using actual bowls and utensils to shrunkened portions using smaller take out containers after the pandemic. I kept forgetting to post my review so here I am with the latest update. I typically doordash from Sweethoney, but I forget how small their containers have gotten and I regret wasting money instantly. Recently, I have seen a change in their togo containers and it is now the appropriate size for the pricing. I even dined in a couple times recently and not only did the quality improve, so did their portions. No more small take out containers anymore! I love their vanilla frost with mangoes and black glutinous rice and a scoop of matcha ice cream and their mango sago pomelo! Recently ordered their watermelon ice with tofu pudding and that was good as well.

Came back to try the Y1. Purple Duet Y1.紫色雙重奏 $8.71 and sadly this one was not as good. I ordered it cold but it was like room temperature. I think there's supposed to be some kind of taro in here but didn't taste very much. It's mostly purple rice clumps, coconut milk and tapioca. Meh

First time here for some snacks and dessert. The Thai curry fish balls were yummy, had a good kick! I would get those again. The coconut milk sago came cold and was good. I asked at the end of my meal if can come hot and they said you can request it. Wish it was offered cold or hot when I first ordered but now I know for next time. The chocolate filled eggettes were crispy. The chocolate was a little overly sweet and bitter for my taste. But I'll definitely get the other eggettes next time. Overall, will come back to try more desserts hot now that I know you can request it. Especially since hot Chinese desserts are hard to find!

Sweethoney has always been a comfortable classic to me and the default spot to grab a sweet treat while catching up with friends! I came recently with a friend and it felt like old times. The menu was on a tablet and it was helpful that each item included a picture so you can preview what you can order. Their mango pancake is one of my favorites but I decided to try their mango coco tofu pudding this time. I'm a huge mango lover so anything on their mango lovers series always hits the spot! It wasn't too sweet and the mango was refreshing.

Sweet honey has been around in Colma for quite some years and always a good staple here for a nice dessert hangout. They have unique drinks that are Chinese-themed (not boba) and many other traditional desserts + snacks. Seating is a little tight inside to expect a wait during rush. Good thing is tho, that they are open during public holidays! Have always had great service here as well. My only complaint would be the price being a bit high, but there's also a lack of similar options nearby. Always happen to come here a couple times a year though

Sweethoney is one of our go to dessert places! I love their Mango Coco Tofu Pudding (but only when mangoes are in season)! Their Twins Snow Mountain Grass Jelly is another great one! When I am craving for something hot, their Sesame Paste, Tofu Pudding, and Almond series never disappoint! Their menu is so extensive, I haven't had the chance to try everything that they offer. I always stick to same few desserts that I know because it is just that delicious! This time around, they changed their bowls and plates! The service never disappoints either!

We've been coming here for many years. Service is great and the deserts are yummy. They switch out items pretty frequently to keep things fresh.

One of the few places I know of to get peach gum and snow fungus soup. What a sweet dessert treat that is also very healing and medicinal. I've tried some of the sagos and they were ok. I love their black sesame glutinous rice balls! They are warm and a great balance of sweet and savory. The place is well lit, spacious, and there is soft music playing so it's not overstimulating like some other dessert spots. Service is great - upon walking in was greeted with eye contact, and seated. The order came quickly too.

Authentic HK desserts, easy parking and no waiting line. Hot desserts takes longer during peak hours. Plenty of seatings and easy to host large group.

Had no idea I'd drive past 5 cemetaries to get here, but you know... it was really tasty! My personal favorite is the Mango Pomelo Sago Tofu Pudding, which has fresh mangoa, silken tofu, pomelo, and a generous portion of sago! The base is a thick creamy mango milk. Really good! The quality of ingredients impressed me. Some other fan favorites amongst my frinds were the Purple Yam Snow and Thai Curry Fish Balls.

Another late review here, whoops…read more Can I tell ya'all how stoked I was to walk around Serramonte Mall and find AMAUSAAN UJI MATCHA? Just the mention of "matcha" and I am there, so even before I approached the store to peruse the menu, I knew that I had to go there and try something. Not just an ice cream parlour, AMAUSAAN UJI MATCHA is a matcha specialty sweet shoppe that specializes in a range of matcha-based desserts, including lattes, soft serve, and traditional Japanese desserts. This location of the Japanese dessert café was uber kawaii ("cute" in Japanese) in décor with a kimono-dressed white rabbit standing beneath lit lanterns, welcoming guests at the entrance. Pink walls and faux cherry blossom trees created a serene atmosphere, inviting patrons to savour their treats in a tranquil setting reminiscent of a cherry blossom festival in Japan. I did my research - AMAUSAAN UJI MATCHA is a tea brand that offers Uji matcha, regarded as the highest grade of matcha in Japan, sourced from the renowned Amausaan farm. This store's menu featured a delightful selection of cones, parfaits, cakes, smoothies, sodas and more, most of which were infused with the rich and vibrant flavour of matcha. Below are some items that we ordered: K2 Uji Matcha Latte with Matcha Soft Serve & K1 Royal Uji Matcha with Matcha Ice Cream Ball - For a more pronounced matcha taste, it was worth paying extra for the floats of a swirl of soft serve and a scoop of ice cream. B1 Double Matcha - V ordered this creamy soft serve infused with high-quality Uji matcha, served in a cone. Despite the silky and smooth texture, V was meh over the flavour. L1 Ice Royal Uji Matcha & L2 Ice Matcha Latte - Unlike K1 & K2, these yummy FLOATS were automatically served with matcha soft serve toppings. Both offered perfect balances of sweetness and bitterness with each sip. E1 Inari Chidori Matcha Mille Crepes - I was excited to dive into the 18 layered delicate sheets of sweet crêpes, separated by even airier layers of light matcha-flavoured whipped cream, topped with a dust of green matcha powder. Surprisingly, I wasn't blown away by this cake as I expected. Just ok I found this dessert to be. I was sad to see AMAUSAAN UJI MATCHA leave the Serramonte Mall.

Because who doesn't love a super cute themed Japanese dessert place? I guess with the location being in the mall, the lack of staff, ingredients or what not, the entire parfait section of the menu wasn't available and I can only order a drink to go and it was served in a to go cup instead. Just tasted like a standard sweet matcha milk with some matcha ice cubes. The interior was cute, but that was it. A good part of going to a place like this is to enjoy the presentation and atmosphere, so it killed a bit of the vibe. Fingers crossed that this place survives or this franchise gets revitalized elsewhere or tries in SoCal!

The store may have what you need so you won't have to run to Target, Walgreens or CVS. They don't have music or a tv in the background; it's quiet and peaceful. We noticed this because it was Super Bowl Sunday and they don't have a tv, so we had to go online to check the score. *** OUR PICKS*** RIB EYE STEAK SANDWICH W/SWISS CHEESE ON DUTCH CRUNCH ~ While ordering this, I told myself, this is gonna be GREAT! I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into this sandwich! But when I took a bite, all I could taste was salt?! I'm not sure if the steak was over seasoned or the Swiss cheese made it salty from being cooked, but I've never had that happen when making a sandwich at home. Since there's no place to eat it at the store, we took it home and tried adding more lettuce and avocado to offset the saltiness, but even that didn't help. By the end of the day, I couldn't get my ring off my finger! It was swollen from the amount of salt in the sandwich because that's the only thing I ate. I drank lots of water, but I became bloated. Next time, I'll nix the cheese and order another kind of sandwich and hopefully have a better experience. 3/5 ROAST BEEF & PASTRAMI W/PROVOLONE CHEESE ON DUTCH CRUNCH ~ this was better than the steak sandwich. My guy had this one. It was salty, but it didn't overpower my tastebuds or the sandwich. I only took a bite to try. 4/5 While jalapeño peppers and pepperoncini are sour, spicy and salty, the meat shouldn't be overwhelmingly salty too then the whole sandwich wouldn't be pleasant to eat. There needs to be something bland to balance it. Now in this steak sandwich, I didn't even add jalapeños or pepperoncini. I only had pickles, onions, lettuce, tomatoes. Yet the salt cut through it all and hit me. I believe someone got overzealous with the salt shaker not realizing it was too much. Of course, the customer finds out after taking a bite! Though I think there should be some quality control in making sure it's done right. Maybe taste testing should be a thing. We may come around again and give them another shot. We really enjoyed it the first time and we were hoping for a repeat, but disappointingly, it didn't go as planned.
