    Cream puffs

My kids like the chocolate and vanilla cream puffs! They also have specialty puffs with strawberries and mango too!

This is the best cream puff I've had in the Bay Area so far. It was my first time trying the cream puffs at this location. Every time I come to Serramonte, I would pass by the store but that day I decided to drop by. The staff recognized it was my first time and offered me a sample. I appreciated that as I was having a hard time deciding if I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and commit to the cream puffs here. The shell was perfect, not too hard and harmonized with the cream. I ended up ordering the Weekly Special, which was a Pandan cream at the time, the Tirami Choux(Tiramisu) and the Vanilla rum Canelé which was like a French rum cake mixed with the cream puff. All 3 were delicious but my favorite was the Vanilla rum Canelé. The rum flavor wasn't overpowering in the cake and there was a nice surprise in the middle. If you're in the area and craving a dessert, I would give this place a try!

Choux me what you got -- double cream puffed up on a Tuesday night! This isn't my first cream puff rodeo. I've had the frozen ones from Safeway (no shame), and I've indulged in Beard Papa's more times than I'd like to admit -- so yes, I consider myself a credible cream puff connoisseur. Naturally, I came in hoping to be wowed, because this place has the presentation and the flavors to back it up. When I visited, it was very quiet -- we were the only customers, and one worker was holding it down solo. There's no seating, so it's definitely a grab-and-go kind of dessert stop... which leaves you awkwardly standing there wondering, "Where do I eat this glorious puff of cream now?" Thankfully, Blaze Pizza next door came through like a real one -- you can wash your sticky hands in their bathroom without anyone asking questions. I ordered three cream puffs: Strawberry, Crème Brûlée, and Cookies 'n Cream. Out of the three, the Cookies 'n Cream was my favorite. The Oreo on top looked great for presentation, but it tasted a little stale -- like it had been waiting for me since last weekend. The cream on top was delicious, but when I bit in, the filling inside was plain vanilla, not the same cream from the topping. It was still good, but I was hoping for more variety between flavors. The Crème Brûlée puff also surprised me -- I wasn't expecting it to be banana-flavored! I thought the topping was a mini crème brûlée, but it turned out to be a banana slice with torched sugar, cleverly mimicking the real thing. Props for creativity, but it threw me off a bit! Overall, the puffs are cute, photogenic, and satisfying enough to cure a sweet craving, but the flavors could use a little more distinction. Still, if you're looking for a fun dessert stop that'll make your camera roll happy, this spot choux be on your list. ‍

Super beautiful French pastries inside the Serramonte food court area. The choux pastries here in comparison to the other ones in the city taste less sweet and not as expensive. The workers are also very nice! My family and I tried the strawberry, Oreos, and berries choux! My toddlers loved them! So fresh and a great tasty, sweet treat! Highly recommend!

We stopped by on a Saturday for an afternoon snack before doing some shopping. I thought that the choux would be filled to order but turns out they're prefilled and removed from the display case after ordering. There wasn't a line when we were there but they were out of some flavors, such as the Banana Brûlée. Our order: Berry Yogurt Choux ($6.00): +Blueberry yogurt Chantilly cream on top reminded me of blueberry yogurt. +Shell was stuffed with pastry cream with blueberry filling. +Blueberries were fresh and sweet. -Choux au Craquelin is supposed to be crispy, but unfortunately this was soft. Mango Choux ($6.00): +Mango Chantilly cream on top was refreshing and not too sweet. +Shell was stuffed with pastry cream with mango filling. +Mango cubes were ripe and sweet. -Choux au Craquelin is supposed to be crispy, but unfortunately this was soft. Nutella Latte Choux ($6.00): +Chantilly cream had a strong coffee flavor. +Topped with a crunchy wafer -Choux au Craquelin is supposed to be crispy, but unfortunately this was soft. -Shell was only filled halfway with pastry cream. Side notes: 1.) $0.15 fee for credit cards 2.) It's a grab and go spot, but there are tables around the mall. 3.) Free parking in the Serramonte parking lot *Verdict: 3.5 stars rounded up to 4 d/t service. It was a one woman show, and she answered my questions about the different choux. In addition, she took the time to carefully pack my choux in the box, which was cute & functional.

I'm a huge fan of choux cream, so I was really excited when I saw this shop. The store has a simple, minimalist design and focuses only on choux cream, with a variety of fillings to choose from. I picked the original matcha cream, which was quite good and not too sweet. Next time, I think I'll try the vanilla flavor. The service was great--the staff was friendly and able to answer my questions clearly. I totally forgot to take a photo of the choux cream before eating it--I was craving something sweet a little too much!

Passed by this place many times and finally went in. I wasn't planning to buy anything since I'm not a big fan of cream puffs, but the nice gentleman behind the counter offered us a sample. The filling wasn't very thick and tasted more like cream than custard. I ordered the chocolate choux with vanilla custard. The original and chocolate choux are filled to order, while the ones on display are pre-filled. The filling isn't too sweet. Not bad, but not the dessert for me.

    Amy Z.

Delicious cream puffs, definitely meet the Asian standard of not too sweet desserts. I got the mango, berry yogurt, smores, tiramisu, normal vanilla, Oreo, banana, and matcha. Mango and berry yogurt are my favorite, but the other flavors are amazing too. The cream is so smooth and creamy, and the cream puff was soft and fluffy. Service was fast and the owner was so nice. He offered some samples to try out before ordering. It was clean and bright. Definitely coming back

My second time here and it is no longer a soft opening, and they have quite a few options to choose from.     This time,  I tried some new flavors they had: 1.  S'mores - I saved this for last because I had high expectations.  Sadly, this was my least favorite.  It was a dark chocolate mousse filling.  The topping looked cute, but that was about it. 2.  Nutella latte - The wafer on top was stale, to be expected.  When I cut it in the middle, I was surprised to see another wafer.  Sadly, this was stale as well.  The filling definitely tasted like a coffee latte.  I was a little disappointed,  I did not get a hint of nutella. 3.  Puff cake - The owner told me this had cake inside.   I think I stopped listening when he said it had cake inside. I was surprised when I cut it in the middle. It looked amazing.  When you bite into it, it was fluffy and light like a cloud.   The fruits on top were so refreshing.  This was hands down my favorite.     Once again, another great experience.   I highly recommend you give it a try.

Strawberry and Banana Brûlée Creme Puff
    Hong N.

The creme puffs were very delicious and pretty big ($6 each, but slightly smaller ones with just filling or chocolate shell were $5). I got the strawberry one and banana brûlée one. Both weren't too sweet and well filled. Banana was actually my favorite because it was the less sweeter of the two and had good flavor. Staff were friendly and very quick. All creme puff flavors available for the day were easily displayed in a case near the front. Would come again if I want a creme puff.

    Jack R.

Stick with the puffy desserts and you won't go wrong. They make it to order and there's no line so go for it. I like their puffs, but I'll say ski the $6 tea. It's just not worth the $6. Think black tea with some sweetner and then some slices of fruit inside. Not really tasting the fruit. Back to the puffs, their special this mo th is black Sesame. Not my thing, I like their mango or their custard or their strawberry puffs though.

Canele, Chocolate choux w/ matcha, Tiramisu
    Michele T.

Craving a sweet treat and been wanting to give this place a try. We arrived at around 2:30pm on Sunday, minutes before a line started to form. The seasonal offering was black sesame; however, was told that the cream wouldn't be ready for about another 40 minutes. So, I order the chocolate choux with the recommended matcha filling ($5) instead. Hubs ordered the Tiramisu ($6) and I also picked up a canele ($5). Our items were packaged nicely. We started with the canele - caramelly crisp exterior and soft interior. Good but maybe a bit pricey at $5 as it was kinda small. Hubs enjoyed the Tiramisu one. The choux is a light and crispier than others we've had. All 3 items were not too sweet and had good flavor. They hit the sweet tooth craving.

    Melissa A.

I love the choux here(*^_^*) My 1st visit proved it or I should say the Blueberry yogurt, strawberry & mango(on 2nd visit). My daughter loves the oreo & nutella(easter basket). Just happy that we're getting new sweet satisfying tastes for my sweet teeth at Serramonte! I'll be happy to look forward to other flavors coming up!

If they're busy, they might forget to call your name and you'll need to go get the food yourself, which is frankly impossible to fathom when you come from San Francisco. But Pacifica is different, y'know?   Anyway.  ------------------------------ First, the turkey sandwich. 5/5 I'm guilty of expecting the meat to be the focus on a sandwich, but in this case the turkey was the filler, which, as a carnivore, is there a better meat filler? Bread, dijon, lettuce, turkey, queso. The dijon did for flavor what the lettuce did for texture, throwing in a twang that kept the sandwich interesting. Its creaminess tag-teamed with the cheese to keep the sandwich in one piece. Great sidekicks. The turkey was... Nothing special. Clean but mundane, for the star of the show was the bread.    Some of you might roll your eyes.  No shiet, Sherlock.  THIS. IS.  A bakery.   Cuz some of you might roll your eyes.  It's just bread.    But this isn't wonder-bread. It's dense. It's got a chew.   The sourdough is minimally sour, hearty, with a thick, hard crust, and made matrimony with the turkey. A lil bit of salt, the slightest tang, tango-ing into a single texture. Those of us who've had an egg sando in Japan understand how the softness of the egg salad made the softness of the bread fundamental. The turkey here wasn't slipping anywhere, though it complimented the meatiness of the bread. This, sandwich, needs, teeth.    I hope you weren't expecting to eat turkey without teeth. Perhaps that's tofurkey you're thinking about.   The crust was hard too. A well supported, almost crunchy hardness, and a far cry from the st-ale pork rind that the free bread in Mont-real would remind you of. I ended up turning the sandwich sideway as if I was enjoying a taco.   The best panera you'll get and a supreme sleeper.   ------------------------------ The second sandwich: 4/5 The sesame studded hoagie, on the other hand, was nothing short of Guns N' Roses. This sub had a KISS of intensity from the seared meats, a KISS of spice from the mayo and capocollo, a KISS of sharpness from the provolone, and a single leaf of romaine to give that little crunch and freshness, so you can tell your mom that you ate your veggies. There's going to be a rock concert in your mouth. With each element in a bit to prove their existence, it ended up being too intense for us. With these all being strong flavors, it's amazing that you could still taste everything. And they work well together. It's just that your taste buds will send an SOS, walking out of a Black Sabbath concert feeling a bit drained, like Spongebob breaking down after working the tables at Squidward's five star restaurant. The crustiness of the roll, the studded texture of the sesame, the meat escarpment slipping out, you will have no more desire for thee. Water. Something to cleanse the mouth.   If you're one of those among us who gets sweet emotions eating curry without naan or rice, this could be your bad medicine.   * Keep it simple, stupid.

No comments. Honestly, just really good, no matter what you pick. Just know, they definitely sell out for sure! COFFEE: 8/10 I've tried 2 different crafted lattes from here and thought they were decent! I ordered a standard Iced Vanilla Oatmilk Latte, and it was okay! It was neither the best I've ever had. I do like how I can taste the espresso shot, and the drink wasn't too milky. I also tried their Seaside Shakerato (I think that's what it's called, I forgot) and that was yummy! I loved the salted caramel taste, but the drink was slightly too milky and sweet for me. I would still get it again, haha. SERVICE: 8/10 Service is pretty standard out here and straightforward. AMBIANCE: 8/10 The space is simple, but the view of the open kitchen, along with the display of freshly baked pastries and loaves of bread, really adds to the ambiance.
