Delicious canelé and cream puffs! The canelé was crispy and caramelized on the outside with a soft, custardy center, while the cream puff was light, creamy, and not too sweet. Everything was fresh and beautifully made. Great service and a lovely experience--definitely worth trying!
This is the best cream puff I've had in the Bay Area so far. It was my first time trying the cream puffs at this location. Every time I come to Serramonte, I would pass by the store but that day I decided to drop by. The staff recognized it was my first time and offered me a sample. I appreciated that as I was having a hard time deciding if I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and commit to the cream puffs here. The shell was perfect, not too hard and harmonized with the cream. I ended up ordering the Weekly Special, which was a Pandan cream at the time, the Tirami Choux(Tiramisu) and the Vanilla rum Canelé which was like a French rum cake mixed with the cream puff. All 3 were delicious but my favorite was the Vanilla rum Canelé. The rum flavor wasn't overpowering in the cake and there was a nice surprise in the middle. If you're in the area and craving a dessert, I would give this place a try!
Choux me what you got -- double cream puffed up on a Tuesday night! This isn't my first cream puff rodeo. I've had the frozen ones from Safeway (no shame), and I've indulged in Beard Papa's more times than I'd like to admit -- so yes, I consider myself a credible cream puff connoisseur. Naturally, I came in hoping to be wowed, because this place has the presentation and the flavors to back it up. When I visited, it was very quiet -- we were the only customers, and one worker was holding it down solo. There's no seating, so it's definitely a grab-and-go kind of dessert stop... which leaves you awkwardly standing there wondering, "Where do I eat this glorious puff of cream now?" Thankfully, Blaze Pizza next door came through like a real one -- you can wash your sticky hands in their bathroom without anyone asking questions. I ordered three cream puffs: Strawberry, Crème Brûlée, and Cookies 'n Cream. Out of the three, the Cookies 'n Cream was my favorite. The Oreo on top looked great for presentation, but it tasted a little stale -- like it had been waiting for me since last weekend. The cream on top was delicious, but when I bit in, the filling inside was plain vanilla, not the same cream from the topping. It was still good, but I was hoping for more variety between flavors. The Crème Brûlée puff also surprised me -- I wasn't expecting it to be banana-flavored! I thought the topping was a mini crème brûlée, but it turned out to be a banana slice with torched sugar, cleverly mimicking the real thing. Props for creativity, but it threw me off a bit! Overall, the puffs are cute, photogenic, and satisfying enough to cure a sweet craving, but the flavors could use a little more distinction. Still, if you're looking for a fun dessert stop that'll make your camera roll happy, this spot choux be on your list.
Super beautiful French pastries inside the Serramonte food court area. The choux pastries here in comparison to the other ones in the city taste less sweet and not as expensive. The workers are also very nice! My family and I tried the strawberry, Oreos, and berries choux! My toddlers loved them! So fresh and a great tasty, sweet treat! Highly recommend!
I'm a huge fan of choux cream, so I was really excited when I saw this shop. The store has a simple, minimalist design and focuses only on choux cream, with a variety of fillings to choose from. I picked the original matcha cream, which was quite good and not too sweet. Next time, I think I'll try the vanilla flavor. The service was great--the staff was friendly and able to answer my questions clearly. I totally forgot to take a photo of the choux cream before eating it--I was craving something sweet a little too much!
Passed by this place many times and finally went in. I wasn't planning to buy anything since I'm not a big fan of cream puffs, but the nice gentleman behind the counter offered us a sample. The filling wasn't very thick and tasted more like cream than custard. I ordered the chocolate choux with vanilla custard. The original and chocolate choux are filled to order, while the ones on display are pre-filled. The filling isn't too sweet. Not bad, but not the dessert for me.
Delicious cream puffs, definitely meet the Asian standard of not too sweet desserts. I got the mango, berry yogurt, smores, tiramisu, normal vanilla, Oreo, banana, and matcha. Mango and berry yogurt are my favorite, but the other flavors are amazing too. The cream is so smooth and creamy, and the cream puff was soft and fluffy. Service was fast and the owner was so nice. He offered some samples to try out before ordering. It was clean and bright. Definitely coming back
My second time here and it is no longer a soft opening, and they have quite a few options to choose from. This time, I tried some new flavors they had: 1. S'mores - I saved this for last because I had high expectations. Sadly, this was my least favorite. It was a dark chocolate mousse filling. The topping looked cute, but that was about it. 2. Nutella latte - The wafer on top was stale, to be expected. When I cut it in the middle, I was surprised to see another wafer. Sadly, this was stale as well. The filling definitely tasted like a coffee latte. I was a little disappointed, I did not get a hint of nutella. 3. Puff cake - The owner told me this had cake inside. I think I stopped listening when he said it had cake inside. I was surprised when I cut it in the middle. It looked amazing. When you bite into it, it was fluffy and light like a cloud. The fruits on top were so refreshing. This was hands down my favorite. Once again, another great experience. I highly recommend you give it a try.
The creme puffs were very delicious and pretty big ($6 each, but slightly smaller ones with just filling or chocolate shell were $5). I got the strawberry one and banana brûlée one. Both weren't too sweet and well filled. Banana was actually my favorite because it was the less sweeter of the two and had good flavor. Staff were friendly and very quick. All creme puff flavors available for the day were easily displayed in a case near the front. Would come again if I want a creme puff.
Stick with the puffy desserts and you won't go wrong. They make it to order and there's no line so go for it. I like their puffs, but I'll say ski the $6 tea. It's just not worth the $6. Think black tea with some sweetner and then some slices of fruit inside. Not really tasting the fruit. Back to the puffs, their special this mo th is black Sesame. Not my thing, I like their mango or their custard or their strawberry puffs though.
My kids like the chocolate and vanilla cream puffs! They also have specialty puffs with strawberries and mango too!
Craving a sweet treat and been wanting to give this place a try. We arrived at around 2:30pm on Sunday, minutes before a line started to form. The seasonal offering was black sesame; however, was told that the cream wouldn't be ready for about another 40 minutes. So, I order the chocolate choux with the recommended matcha filling ($5) instead. Hubs ordered the Tiramisu ($6) and I also picked up a canele ($5). Our items were packaged nicely. We started with the canele - caramelly crisp exterior and soft interior. Good but maybe a bit pricey at $5 as it was kinda small. Hubs enjoyed the Tiramisu one. The choux is a light and crispier than others we've had. All 3 items were not too sweet and had good flavor. They hit the sweet tooth craving.
I love the choux here(*^_^*) My 1st visit proved it or I should say the Blueberry yogurt, strawberry & mango(on 2nd visit). My daughter loves the oreo & nutella(easter basket). Just happy that we're getting new sweet satisfying tastes for my sweet teeth at Serramonte! I'll be happy to look forward to other flavors coming up!
We stopped by on a Saturday for an afternoon snack after doing some shopping. Like last time, the specialty choux were prefilled and removed from the display case after ordering. No line when we were there. Our order: Banana Brûlée Choux ($6.50): +Choux au Craquelin had a slight crisp to it. +Banana Chantilly cream on top was not too sweet and tasted like real banana. +Shell was stuffed with pastry cream with banana filling. -I wanted to try this flavor last time, but they ran out. Unfortunately, I was disappointed...there was nothing Brûlée about this. The banana slice looked like it was torched, but it was just caramel sauce on top because it slid off as I ate it. Crème Strawberry Choux ($6.50): +Choux au Craquelin had a slight crisp to it, and the chocolate added a bitter richness. +Strawberry Chantilly cream on top was not too sweet. +Shell was stuffed with pastry cream mixed w/tart strawberry bits. +Strawberry slices were ripe and sweet. -Strawberry Chantilly cream looked the part, but lacked strawberry flavor. Side notes: 1.) $0.15 fee for credit cards 2.) It's a grab and go spot, but there are tables around the mall. 3.) Free parking in the Serramonte parking lot *Verdict: Even though the choux shells were better this time around, I enjoyed the flavors from last time more. I wouldn't go out of my way, but if I was in Serramonte I'd stop by to see what flavors they had. read more
Le Le Choux is such a cute little dessert spot for anyone who loves photogenic pastries. Their choux creams are beautifully decorated, colorful, and perfect for sharing. I tried a box with different flavors, including strawberry, blueberry, banana, mango, s'mores, and Oreo. Each one looked elegant and fun, with generous cream and toppings. My favorites were the fruit-based ones because they tasted lighter and balanced the richness of the cream nicely. The pastries are definitely more on the indulgent side, so I'd recommend getting a few flavors to share with friends. Overall, this is a lovely bakery for a sweet treat, photos, and a fun dessert stop. Quick service as well. read more

Days ago, I accidentally stumbled upon this place after going to the wrong Uncle Tetsu location. Super happy I made that mistake! I never tried a choux pastry before, so I was happy this was my first time trying it! I came a little early before it opened, so I was lucky that there wasn't a line yet. The store is pretty small, there were no seating areas, but plenty of seats outside given it's in a small shopping center mall. The place is simplistic, but looks clean! Service was quick and excellent as there weren't many customers. The staff were friendly as well! I got the Oreo, Strawberry, and Chocolate chouxs. My personal favorite was the chocolate choux because I loved how the chocolate filling wasn't too sweet and it was light and airy. The choux shell was crunchy on the outside, but soft enough to bite and get the crunch. It was really good. I'd come back here again! read more

When I heard that Tanforan will be closing, my first thought? Noooo!!!! What's going to happen to Pâte à Choux?! IMO, it was the only eatery/shop worth going to Tanforan for. For those missing their pâte à choux, they've found a new home inside Serramonte. Le Le Choux soft opened on 1/28/25 (use entrance near Crunch Fitness and they'll be to your left). Takeout only (no seating). M E N U *Original OR Chocolate Choux au Craquelin ($5 each) -- Filling choices: Vanilla, chocolate, or matcha *Premium Choux: Strawberry, Mango, Tiramisu, Oreo ($6 each) *Canelé: French pastry w/ caramelized shell and custard like interior ($5) *Choux Cake ($15) C H O U X *Choux au Craquelin - Original w/ vanilla filling ($5 x2) *Choux au Craquelin - Chocolate w/ chocolate filling ($5 x2) *Strawberry Choux ($6) *Mango Choux ($6) *Tiramisu Choux ($6) *Oreo Choux ($6) I'm basic so I always stick with their Original Choux au Craquelin w/ vanilla filling (filled to order). The choux shell was sturdy yet delicate with a sweet and crunchy, crackly cookie crown (like a light streusel). The pastry filling was thick, creamy smooth with flecks of vanilla beans. While lightly AZN sweet, it always hit the spot for me. I gave away the rest of the choux and they enjoyed it. S E R V I C E Cordial and prompt. No line so I was in/out in minutes. Overall, glad to see Le Le Choux (FKA Pâte à Choux) find a new space to continue serving their delicious choux. Now, I have a reason to go to Serramanila more often! read more

First time trying this new spot inside Serramonte Mall. Overall, it's pretty good since the filling inside isn't too sweet. Perfect balance of flavors. I usually like my custard filling texture on the thicker side. Their custard is more runny which is pretty messy to eat (as someone who's always on the go). Overall, still pretty good to try! read more
I was super excited to try Le Le Choux after I saw the signs up!! I've been on the hunt for more choux pastry places around the peninsula and I was super stoked to see them open. The shop had a soft opening this weekend and I was surprised this place didn't have more folks lining up to try this place out. They have a limited menu so far and offered a few options this weekend. I saw Oreo, mango, yogurt (sold out) and regular. I ended up going with the Oreo and it was $6 per choux pastry. The choux pastry was very light and crisp on the outside, a lightly sweetened custard inside, a cookies n crème cream on top and finished with a goofy Oreo dipped in melting chocolate. I really liked this!! It was super light to eat and not overly sweet at all. Just the perfect amount. I'll definitely try more flavors out, but the Oreo one is pretty solid! Welcome to Serramonte!!! :) read more
Perfect rougher texture on the outside and strong flavorful insides. Service was nice. The girl up front recommended her favorites. Wish we could try though. The environment feels clean, simplistic, and easy to select items. Everything was pretty straightforward. Surely want to come back to try the other flavors. read more
I stopped by Le Le Choux to grab a sweet treat before going back to work on a Monday afternoon. It wasn't busy when I ordered but I saw a few people walking around the mall with their boxes so they do seem to get a good amount of business? The worker at who helped me was very friendly and carefully used a scale to measure how much filling to put in the choux, going back a few times to make sure the amount was just right. I ordered an Original Choux and a Canele, which totaled at $10. A bit higher in price than I was expecting, but not too surprising as I'm used to canele prices in SF. Both items were enjoyable, had a good vanilla flavor, and were not too sweet. I liked the sweet crunchy crust on the choux, and the canele had a nice and crispy shell. I do wish that the canele could have been just a tad bit sweeter though... read more

I was walking from the food court and got a matcha puff to go. The cashier was friendly, piped the puff, and bagged it to go. There is no seating, so plan on eating while walking out. After my first excited bite, I was disappointed to taste the burnt bottom of the pastry, which led to a bitter aftertaste. Could not eat the rest of it afterwards and ended up throwing it out. Waste of $5. If they'd have better QC, I'd consider returning. For now, I'd pass. read more
Soft opening at Serramonte mall. Selections around 3pm were somewhat limited as the group of people in front took the last mango choux. Inside the shop was clean, no tables to sit. Luckily there's a food court area where you can sit and eat at. The choux cost 5-6$ depending on whether you get their specialty ones. Today I ordered the original with the matcha cream and Oreo cream. The matcha cream was not too sweet and the texture of the choux was nicely balanced with the cream. It is soft opening right now and possibly I went when it was only one staff working. If they are planning a big turnout, I hope they hire more people. read more

This hidden gem was divine! BF and I needed to pick up desert for a Xmas party and decided to stop here. Le Le Choux did not disappoint. It was a big hit and a crowd pleaser! Canele Rum is a must try! Will definitely add this place to my rotational sugar fixes! Soo yummy! read more
04.19.2025. Banana Creme Brulee. 6.00. Strawberry. 6.00. Smores. 6.00. Oh my god these cream puffs were soooo good. I loved the craquelin. I didn't know serramonte had a cute little dessert spot in the mall! My friend and I stumbled across this small shop and wanted to try the puff creams out. We got a strawberry one to share and it was good! I really liked how then pink strawberry cream actually had a strawberry taste to it. I didn't notice until almost finishing it that there were strawberry bits inside the strawberry cream. It tasted really refreshing! The puff cream itself was really sweet. It reminded me of a pineapple bun (bo lo bao) but a lot sweeter. The strawberries itself were a mix of sweet and sour. This was a good mini sweet treat! read more

Their strawberry cream puff was really good! It had strawberry cream and custard in the inside, and it was perfectly sweet! I also tried their Chocolate Choux with chocolate filling, and it didn't seem like there was enough chocolate filling in the inside. I'd definitely would come back again to order their strawberry cream puff and the mango one. Unfortunately the mango cream puff was sold out that day. read more

We are trying to locate this new pastry place at Serramonte Ctr, we thought it's hard to find. However, it's just right next to Uncle Tetsu. We tried Oreo , Strawberry, Mango and Tiramisu flavor this time. It's sweet but not that "Sweet" . Kids love it. The bread is crunchy and the jam inside of the puff is so fruity (mango & strawberry) Staff is nice and talk us through on how to choose our flavor. He explains in details for the puffs and the "Canele" is highly recommended. We would definitely come back and try another flavors next time. read more
