It's always a treat stopping by Binka Bites. I highly recommend it whether you're a local or a traveler. These are unique and you can't find them elsewhere (at least for now). The Binka Bites are always fresh, with that soft, chewy texture that keeps me coming back. If you're not into super sweet desserts, you'll probably like the Ube Langka. Some of my go-to flavors are Nutella, Oreo Bliss, Ube Langka, S'mores, and Ube Flan. It's hard to pick just one, which is why I love that the more you buy, the better the deal. It's the perfect excuse to buy at least four when you visit.
Came here for a snack. It's good. The service is informative and friendly. Ambiance is casual and tight space. Probably would come here once in a while and recommend giving it a try.
Happened to be walking by to the cocina next door and saw a picture of an Ube drink - had to come in and get one - it was so fresh and flavorful, and the man that made it was just full of smiles. I should have gotten some binkabites - but I had no idea - I was innocently walking by! I'm glad you had the picture in your window! Will be back for bites!
Ummm yummm!! These are so delicious. We got the Oreo, s'mores, mocha and mango binkabites. It has a good mochi texture and it's not super sweet. Loved every flavor we tried.
The desserts were great! The only one I wasn't too fond of was the salted egg and cheese. The gentleman working that day was really kind and spent time answering all my questions. Parking was easy to find since it's by a residential street. The interior looked clean but it's a store front so you're not able to eat inside or outside.
The guy at the cashier is such a Filipino uncle. He no-chill made fun of me for asking for the least-sweet binka bite flavors aside from the ube ones lololol still friendly guy though. Heavenly moist and spongy binka bites. Since they have glutinous rice flour in them they have some mochi chewiness. My favorite kind is the leche flan one because the leche flan square on top is quite tasty with the right custard firmness. The ube langka has a little bit too much going on; very strong langka flavor on top of the ube-flavored base and the langka part is kinda too liquid-y. I'd say the classic version is an ultimate crowd-pleaser; non-Filipinos would probably easily enjoy this one as well. The strawberry one is pretty good as well; classic base with a dollop of strawberry jam and whipped cream. And, no, none of the flavors that I tried were overly sweet lol. Strictly a to-go place; order and pick up at outdoor window.
Hi!!!! I highly recommend either ordering from the SSF location in advance or calling ahead. They are very accommodating! They make for easy pick up since parking can be challenging. There was one occasion where I ordered 2 dozen assortment 24HRs in advance and they did not have the goods when I arrived to pick up but luckily they had baked binka bite cupcakes around to make it happen. The binka bites are so good! Love the ube macapuno!!

I was on my way out from picking up an order from Love Burn right around the corner, and saw that this shop was open for once (I've been trying to try their stuff for a while, but every time I'm around it's closed!). I entered the cozy shop interested in grabbing a drink since I assumed not much would be left since it was going to close within 5 minutes. Instead, the staff working convinced me to buy a box of 6 cupcakes. I ordered the following: - 2 ube flan - 1 langka - 1 smores - 1 matcha or boston creme? Can't remember. - 1 bavarian creme Since I was headed to a family event right after I didn't feel too bad about having a box of dessert to bring over. When that box opened at that event, the cupcakes disappeared! I personally was able to taste the unknown one (can't remember if it was matcha or Boston creme) and loved the quality and texture of the bibingka and flavor. My uncle had the langka one and was impressed at how flavorful but "not too sweet" the treat was. My aunt and enjoyed the ube flan ones, noting that it was the perfect size and good quality flavor. My younger cousin shared that the Bavarian creme was chewy and smooth. Even my grandma and great grandmother had some, and enjoyed that the ube flan was well balanced! I don't know who ended up trying the smores one, but I'm sure it was a hit just as the others were! If generations of my Filipino family enjoyed this on the first try, I can only imagine how others who buy from Binka Bites feel! The quality here is excellent and while you are paying a bit more for the pastries, know that it's definitely worth it!
First time to this bakery. There is no sitting area only for to go. Cupcakes looked interesting. I bought the taro, s'more and caramel flavored. It was so fresh and tasted delicious. Definitely will come back for more. Totally recommended.
Binka bites is our go-to for picking up sweets for family events. They have a great selection, with the langka being one of our favorites. The binka bread pudding is also one of our favorites. The only "complaint" I have is they have too many fun flavors and since I can't decide, I always end up with way more binkas than I planned for. The staff are always warm and welcoming and we are glad to see a thriving AAPI owned business!

They have other pastries as well including mochi donuts and some savory items, plus a drink menu. Pulled up on a Thursday afternoon to purchase some desserts. It was my first time at this location and I was surprised that it was just an order window. Some items were sold out including the classic binka bite and savories. I ordered the guava and ube mochi donuts, as well as the following binkies: ube macapuno (coconut), ube flan, mango, churro and oreo. The donuts were so soft and tasty. The binka bites were delicious as well. I didn't try them all but highly recommend the ube flan!
Super cute and aesthetically pleasing shop with brown and neutral interior design. Binka bites serves a variety of desserts and creative drinks. Desserts - Pretty unique and satisfy my sweet cravings. We tried their cupcakes and flans and were impressed with their texture and flavor. Everything was fluffy, bouncy, and extremely flavorful and yes... really sweet too. Drinks - Terrible. Bleh. I wanted to try their organic matcha tea with rice (hot or iced) but the server said they were sold out in hot version and only available iced? Whatever that meant lol... I thought these drinks are made to order? Ube latte - Bland. Did taste like ube but super watery ube. Dulce de leche milk tea - I expected this to be sweet but boy... it was bland af. Zero flavor. No texture. No milk tea. Zero sweetness. No anything!! It tasted just like...... water???? We all had a sip and threw it out. Didn't even want it remade lol.
BINKA BITES sells good stuff out of a window overlooking the sidewalk. Parking is tough! You might have to park at the center half a block away and then walk over. Got multiple flavors and even if you take only one bite each, just because of the number of flavors, you'll end up eating more than one serving for sure. Salted Egg & Cheese is classic and was very good. Matcha Custard was also good. Ube Flan was the richest and was a favorite! Ube Langka is also very good. Ube Macapuno is also one of my favorites. Oreo Bliss was popular with the kids. Nutella was also popular with the kids. S'Mores - couldn't go wrong. Mango Cream - I really liked this too
I didn't know cupcakes could be so light and fluffy. We came here on a friend's recommendation. We came around 11:30 a.m. on a Saturday and the place was empty, except for a friendly guy working there (I think he may be the owner). He explains there aren't many flavors left because most of his business is through online orders. We asked him to help us pick out 4 cupcakes, and he was pretty chatty about them all. After we picked out our 4 cupcakes, he gave us one for free (wow - thanks so much). That took the sting out of $6 cupcakes. The place is a bakery and store front, but no seating. They have cupcakes, mochi donuts, savory muffins, and various drinks. Their baked good are made with rice flour and coconut milk, so their cupcakes are light and moist. They kinda have a mochi-coconut flavor, but not the sticky mochi texture. Most of their cupcakes have some type of filling inside, which adds to the moistness. All their flavors are really creative, and some of the ones we got today I don't even see on their online menu. The instructions say best served heated for a few seconds, but I found the cream gets too melty. It tastes fine without heating imo. What we got: + Ube cookies and cream - ube and coconut forward. Yum. + Guava - this had a dollop guava jam on top and some squirted inside too. The guava adds just the perfect bit of tartness to the cupcake. + Nutella - there's a dollop of nutella on top that fills part of cupcake inside. + Churro Biscoff - pretty gooey inside, which may be due to heating it a few seconds. Still very yummy. It's a good thing I don't live close to one of these stores or I'd be here every day. I prefer these to Sprinkles cupcakes for the same price point. read more
I saw this place a while ago near the bowling alley in South SF, and have been meaning to go. I ended up going to this Millbrae location, which I'm glad, because it's bigger and I had time to look at the bibingka options. The lady working at the counter was nice. She asked how I heard about this place and walked me through the options. I chose the S'mores and Ube Oreo bibingkas. I also shared the Binka Ube Cheesecake with my husband. Not sure what makes it 'cheesecake' because it was topped with leche flan. It was a good not too sweet treat. My favorite was the S'mores though, because the chocolate frosting added a nice sweetness that complemented the bibingka. The store was spacious, airy, and had a lot of light coming in. They also offer Filipino food, coffee/matcha, and smoothies. read more
Low inventory especially by the afternoon. So come early. Nice treats but extremely expensive for what you get. $6 for small-size muffin is wow (and not in a good way). And no dozen pricing is disheartening. p.s. another customer asked if the Milbrae location might have other flavors or bites, and he said probably they have the same thing. So he either is an expert and knows exactly what the other location has, just talked to them recently and ask about their inventory, or is just bs'ing. read more

Super delicious binka bites! The staff is always kind and knowledgeable about gluten, and usually advise people who have celiac to skip out on the cupcakes due to cross contamination even though the dough is gluten free. Really nice and clean interior as well. Would recommend! read more
4.5* One of the first places I tried mochi muffins was from Binka Bites. What made them super popular was the ube muffin- yum! This time, I decided to try out their savory muffins instead so I ordered the cheese with jalapeño and the dulce salted egg muffins. I also ordered the calamansi matcha since a lot of yelpers posted images of it. Between the cheese with jalapeño muffin and the dulce salted egg, I thought the dulce salted egg had more flavor. It tasted exactly like how the worker described it, "sweet and salty". The cheese with jalapeño tasted a bit funny even though that mix would normally taste good! As for the calamansi matcha, it was like a hint of sour orange juice mixed with matcha- okay but not great. Not as refreshing as most people claimed it to be. In terms of prices, the mochi muffins were on the pricier side ($4.95) for both sweet or savory. Honestly, I still preferred the sweet mochi muffins over any other regular muffins due to the chewy texture and the semi-sweetness. There was only one person working as both cashier and server. Everything was ordered through the small window with no dine in or spot to sit. The person completed your full order before taking the next customer's order so expect a short line at the door. Overall, I recommend Binka Bites for delicious mochi muffins. read more

Been wanting to visit this storefront for a while! As i've tried their bites before through friends & family who have ordered for parties. Went close to closing time but they still had quite a few options left to choose from! Settled on the oreo and leche flan, which were both delicious. The best thing I had was definitely the ube latte with coconut jelly. The drink was creamy and sweet with a great, strong ube flavor. Would definitely come again to try more of their stuff, and the service was very friendly and helpful as he explained the menu and specials they had going on. read more

The cupcakes here are so cute and delicious! They're inspired by a Filipino pastry called bibingka made of coconut milk and rice flour. I tried the ube flan cupcake ($4.75), which was the first time I actually enjoyed an ube flavored dessert because I could clearly taste the ube flavor and it wasn't too sweet. The cupcake had a nice coconut, vanilla, and nutty flavor that paired well with the flan. The texture of the cupcake was more chewy than fluffy because of the rice flour, which I enjoyed. I would definitely come back again to try more of these flavors! read more
The baked goods were pricey but luckily not too sweet. Downside of this spot is there is no seating. It's just a counter where you can place your order. Ube Flan cupcake - flan was creamy and caramel-y. The ube cupcake was spongey and moist. Ube Macapuno - the marscapone worked really well with the ube cupcake. Dulce Almond - caramelized spongey cupcake topped with alomonds. Binkies - soft and chewy. It's similar to mochi texture. Loved the variety but ube was my favorite. read more
This is the kind of 3* review you wish you didn't feel compelled to write... It's a cute shop and some things were really good, but it just wasn't great. I had the Ube Crunch Donut. Ivy Q. had written that the frosted flakes topping was stale. Yep, it sure was. But after I brushed all of it off, the donut itself was really good. Reminded me of a less spongy, little bit more greasy version of the donut at Third Culture. Then I had the Matcha Custard Cupcake. The cake itself was soft and moist, with a little bit of matcha flavor. The custard was good too. But the matcha whipped cream stuff on the top had this odd aftershave scent. So I took the whipped cream off and it was good. But the service was frustrating. There was a young lady working very hard, helping people at the window while answering the phone and trying to pack up a bunch of pastries on the side for a pre-order. While all of this was happening, an older man was just sort of... hanging out. When I pulled up, he was outdoors wandering around, looking at his phone. Then he went back into the shop and stood in the corner staring at the young lady while she hustled to do everything on her own. I don't know what that guy's actual job is, but if he's just going to stand around watching someone else work, he might as well go home? I might go back. The donut was really good. read more

Went on a whim to try them out. It's weird where they are located so we parked across the street in the residential neighborhood. They have two menus: one on the window with all their flavors and one next to the door of the flavors they are currently selling. We tried the: Calamansi Matcha drink. Comes in a small cup which I think it's perfect to just taste. Binka Bites: Classic with salted egg and cheese Matcha custard Mango crème Ube flan Nutella waffle cone mochi donut Guava Creme mochi donut This is true bibinka in cupcake form. I've been wanting to try this place out since I've come across their Yelp and was lucky to do so. I love Ube and Asian flavored desserts, so was super excited. The desserts/pastries definitely did not disappoint. Overall, most of the items were not too sweet which is great and I love the Mochi texture of the goods. If in the area, would come back again to try other flavors. Really glad I tried this place because it reminds me of Third Culture Bakery, except this was extremely closer! Items bought: Ube Latte w/ Coconut Jelly (~$4.95): The drink was alright, I think the coconut jelly made it too sweet and taste more artificial. If I got it without the jelly I would probably enjoy it a lot more. Overall, 2/5 I don't think I would get it again. Ube Crunch Mochi Donut ($4): very delicious and great dense Mochi texture. I ate this 5 hours after I bought it and the Frosted Flakes were soft/stale. I picked them off since it held no more crunch value. But even with eating the donut hours later it was delicious! Ube Flan Cupcake ($4): this was like a Mochi cupcake. Less dense Mochi texture compared to the donut, which I favored. Very good ube flavor cupcake and flan. I found the frosting too much and sweet for my liking (but I don't like frosting in general). Binka bites so good!! These desserts are amazing and so tasty. I love the ube flan and smores! We tried the donuts and they have a squishy texture (very different donut experience). I crave these desserts and highly recommend this place! read more

Bi..bi..bingka...not stuttering, just happy that someone is making cupcakes from coconut and rice flour. Filipino inspired cupcakes in unique Asian flavors. You rock. The bakery is located next to Hometown Bowl (has a great Hamburger and Fried Chicken Sandwich joint inside - different review) and an empanada shop (also a different review), a block away from busy El Camino Real. Neighborhood is so lucky to have unique and good ethnic and American foods albeit parking is a challenge. We were heading to the empanada joint and saw the bibingka bakery next door - had to get some cupcakes as we were evil all week and deserved something righteous for the weekend... especially with the unique flavors offered. Cupcakes are $4 each or six for $24. Huh? I took Calculus and that's the same each, right?!!! Most of us will do a double-take and think I'll get a better deal buying six...not. Ha ha. We went around 2pm on Saturday and they were out of many flavors but since it was our first time, we didn't care. Got the: - Ube Macapuno - liked this a lot - Classic Salted Egg and Cheese - savory, sweet and unique - Vietnamese Coffee - was ok, we wanted more coffee flavor, wife didn't like the Creme on top while I did - Elizabeth's Favorite - strawberry and strwberry Creme topping, sweet... Liked the chewy consistency of their cupcakes, flavors were also unique... Also had a Strawberry Macha Latte... was a bit small and pricey... they have other stuff like Mochi Donuts, Cookies, Drinks,.... which we'll try some other day.... read more

Loveeeee Binka Bites! I had their Ube variations with jackfruit and coconut. Both tasted really good and had the best texture. I like that they are not overly sweet. I also have tried their signature flavors of nutella and churro. These are mochi like and do not contain ube. They are also very good! The nutella one was my favorite! Make sure to go early because they sell out of the ube flavors fast. You can also order cute boxes for birthdays and other special events. I love how unique these are. :) Highly recommend! read more

At first I thought this said "Binky Cakes" lol, like the binky I had when I was a kid. But it's "Binka" as in a special coconut cake recipe. First off, good service with Covid gear. We tried their mochi doughnuts and their binka cakes. Their strawberry jam one was a good strawberry like cupcake thing that tasted a little too sweet and denser than a cupcake. My friend's flan ube binka was similar good flavor light ube taste. The mochi doughnut with matcha was good and not too sweet. Kind of pricey too at around $4 each and it really is a bite and $5 for a drink. Their strawberry matcha drink was good but the milk overpowered the strawberry and honestly the matcha didn't quite come through enough for me. I don't think these were the best things we have ever had, and honestly though they were okay it wasn't something that we would crave in the future. This is a good solid 3.5 stars place and we wish them lots of success! read more

I recently noticed that binka bites has changed the ube frosting to a cream cheese frosting. Is this permanent?
Hi, there! Thanks for reaching out. Many customers requested for Ube based cake. We added it to our menu and top it off with ube cream cheese frosting. We still do take special orders for the older version of our Ube Binkas.
