Came here on a Friday night. The server didn't change gloves after handling cash from a previous customer. He immediately proceeded to handle cookies and sprinkle crumbs onto the cookies that we ordered. That is disgusting. Afterwards we asked if he had changed gloves. He was defensive and said that there were gloves next to him, but obviously he didn't switch gloves after managing cash and coins. This is serious health concern and should be fixed immediately. We do not feel comfortable eating these cookies. hope this food safety concern be fixed soon.

So happy a Crumbl finally opened nearby! I tried it for the first time and wow--so delicious. The staff is really friendly, and the touchscreen ordering setup makes the whole process super quick and easy.

They also serve hot food if you're looking for a bite to eat. Interior has some seating inside with a grocery store kind of feeling. No outdoor seating available. Parking is limited to street parking. A few notes: * Not everything in the store is labelled with prices * Hot food was pretty average in my opinion * Price vs value wasn't great in terms of quality of food Onto the hot food: * butter mochi - definitely the best thing we ordered here! Chewy buttery and soft in texture. Don't skip this. * garlic shrimp- this was recommended by the cashier but it was quite lacking in depth of flavor with the primary taste just being garlic. No spice, nothing special to stand out. After a while the sauce gets tiring. Mac salad was prominently peppery but bland in both texture and flavor. * Mochiko chicken - Not bad, crunchy battered chicken. Interior of the chicken was juicy but lacking in that distinct strong sweet savory that mochiko chicken is known for. Again, the mac salad was a letdown. Overall, the food was quite average especially for the price point. I can think of two places in SJ with better Hawaiian food for half the price.

The store comes with a strong smell... it smells like a fast food store. Orders are placed on a tablet. My kids were able to do it on their own. We got a boba tea and an egg waffle. There is a claw machine (with good toy options) on site. Food takes a long time though for a fast food joint.... 10 min and a bit more. Stuff was good. Not too much artificial flavor chemical secret weapon. I tried my kids' orders and they are pretty decent. Staff are friendly. Good place for kiddos.

They definitely have a pretty big menu. Ive tried their reg milk tea, protein milk tea, and PBJ milk tea. Milk tea was like good, standard milk tea. Their honey boba is really good. Was surprised to see the protein milk tea. Was kind expecting to taste of protein to be overwhelming, but surprisingly it's decent. They have reg milk tea flavor, matcha, and taro. Not sure if they are using the boba flavor protein powder you see on Instagram, but it does the job. Like the person helping me out, it taste 80% like a reg drink. The PBJ one was a interesting drink that I had to try. It also didn't disappoint. Mainly peanut butter but has the jam sweetness at the end.

Regular HK-style ones are just okay too, nothing standout. Not cheap either (around $3 each these days?), but I guess you're paying for convenience on the Peninsula. That said, it's not bad at all, and when you're in San Bruno/Millbrae and don't feel like driving into SF Chinatown, this is one of the better local options. Not too many solid Chinese bakeries around here, so it fills the gap without being a total letdown. Best egg tarts are still at Golden Gate Bakery in SF Chinatown--no contest. Theirs have that perfect silky, jiggly custard and buttery crust that makes you want to go back immediately. Suzanne's is fine for a quick fix, but if you can make the trip, skip this and head to GG Bakery instead. Solid neighborhood spot if you're lazy like me and want something nearby, but don't expect it to blow your mind.
