Haven't been to this place in awhile. Very much a friendly high school neighborhood milktea shop. Downside is cash only. I haven't tried their drinks in a while. The curry fish balls was pretty good. The servers were really nice!

This place is a South City classic! Brings back childhood memories. The interior is mostly the same but smaller space for seating. The drinks are as good as I remember. Most items are $5. Lychee Jasmine MT is still my favorite drink- not too sweet, refreshing, with real lychee bits. The tea is floral and noticeable. First time trying honeydew eggette, it was fruity, although artificial tasting it was delicious and not super sweet! Perfectly crispy and golden. Note: They are cash only and open limited hours. Also I thought the trash can with the logo was adorable.

I have not been to Eggettes in ten years, but I still remember sitting in their metal chairs and begging my mom to let me use their gotcha capsule machines while waiting for our order. Though their variety of capsule machines has shrunk it's still nice to see they have a few in store! They remodeled their kitchen recently and currently everything on their menu is $5 and CASH ONLY which is crazy impressive for the variety. I was really craving eggettes so i ordered one original and one chocolate. They taste a little different than I remember but still crunchy, fluffy and fun to eat! I definitely want to come back to try their drinks again!

Cash only! If you're looking for a hidden gem in South SF, Eggettes is it! Prices are super reasonable, especially for the quality and portions. The boba was perfectly chewy and the drinks had great flavor -- not overly sweet, just right. We also ordered an eggette (of course), and it was hot, crispy on the outside, soft inside, and full of flavor. What really stood out was the service. The owner/cashier was incredibly friendly and welcoming. After we ordered, he actually brought our drinks and waffle over to our table -- a small gesture, but it made the experience feel really personal and warm. You can tell they care about the customer experience here. Definitely coming back!

Love this place! All the food and drink are yummy and reasonably priced with cash only. No crazy nickel and diming for every little add in and substitutions. The eggettes are the best in the Bay Area with great flavor and a crispy exterior and nice chewy interior. There's a good decent amount of snack foods too. You can customize your drinks in various ways and you just need to ask. The couple that run this place are super chill, friendly and accommodating. Just keep in mind their open hours are a small window from 2pm-6pm. Enjoy!

This place is my childhood! I got the honeydew eggettes and original eggettes and they were both so good! I also got the strawberry freeze with boba and curry fish balls. Everything was really delicious and the service is so friendly! Definitely will be coming back again.

Consistently one of the better places for eggettes. I'm a sucker for eggettes and will go out of my way just to get them. So I've been sad that this store had closed and I couldn't get eggettes close to home, but it's reopened! However, they are cash only and only open from 2-5PM right now (July 2023). The service is a bit slow. They only seem to have one worker. They don't have a ticketing system and the worker takes one order, makes the drinks for that order, then moves to the next party. So we did wait a bit longer in line. There's less seating now and they removed most of the toy machines (that was very characteristic of the store before). They expanded their kitchen space out so you can see a bunch of storage and them more openly making your food and drinks. You can always find parking on the street right in front or in the parking lot for 7-11 next door if you have to. I don't normally get any of their drinks. I come just for the eggettes and maybe other snacks. The eggettes are generally a good amount of crispy and fluffy inside. Some other places aren't crispy at all so this at least fits that bill. They were lacking a bit of flavor. I got the original but they were a bit just bland. However, still better than others so I'm happy to have this option!

This Eggettes in South SF used to be one of my favorites amongst the three locations with the other two being in Millbrae and SF. I stopped by here to get Hong Kong style milk tea with honey boba balls and popcorn chicken. This Eggettes was still in their soft-opening phase so there was no popcorn chicken. I got an order for the waffle egg puffs instead. What a disappointment! The eggettes was warm but not crispy or tasty. Lacked so much flavor. The milk tea tasted watered down. The only good thing was the honey boba balls. But they charge $1 for boba which was ridiculous since other boba shops only charge $.50 or $.75 more. On top of this, it was cash only. Hopefully, they improve their food and drinks drastically and not charge in cash only, because it would be hard for them to survive this type of economy.

7/21/2021-They are open this week from 2pm-4pm. Go say hi and grab a drink or snack or both?

Yes. It is soft re-opening daily 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Yes, drinks and snacks are back!

10/7/20 Been constantly passing by for months and still closed, are they out of business?

11/14/20 stopped by and they are still closed but has a sign, "Re-open soon"

    Is this place open now?

Just drove up on 1/18 and sign on door still said "re-open soon". Anyone know when they will reopen? Seems like a very long time to be closed.

    Is this place open now?

Not right now it's under construction

6/4/20 Anyone know if Eggettes SSF is really open?

They are still closed. I talked with the owner yesterday and they said end of the month.

Any chance an Eggettes location will be added to the South Bay?...like Cupertino hopefully?

It's my understanding that Eggettes is a franchise, not a chain so the chances of Eggettes opening in the South Bay will be dependent on the potential owner.

Chicha San Chen is the super hyped bubble tea shop from Taiwan that's apparently won a bunch of tea…read morerelated accolades that I won't pretend to be remotely familiar with. Their ordering system is entirely via two kiosks, which can be annoying if the customers ahead are slow, ordering a bunch of drinks, or both. They really should have a policy for cashiers handling smaller orders (2-3 drinks or less) and forcing kiosks only for larger groups. The estimated wait times vary pretty wildly, so take their posted estimates with a grain of salt. It stated 15-20 minutes when I was there, but it took about 25 (and we were just the 2nd group in line, though there were clearly tons of queued orders already with people standing around or sitting waiting). When we finally got our drinks, the Classic Ding Dong Oolong Milk Tea and the Milk Tea with Taro Balls and Taro Paste, I was expecting really prominent tea flavor like you get from the best milk teas in Taiwan and HK, especially given their hand-brewing process for each cup (which partly explains why wait times balloon). Sadly, I got very little tea flavor from either drink. That said, the fresh taro paste and taro balls were very tasty, with the balls having fantastic QQ chewiness. Prices are a bit much though, at almost $10 for that drink alone. I honestly think they could cut costs on gimmicks like the rope carriers (cute for influencers, but pretty useless and likely jacks up the price for regular customers). One silver lining from the long wait is that we spilled over into a free tea tasting slot. Miranda was fantastic as our guide as she was super friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. She walked us through how their Lishan Oolong Tea (sold separately, not used for in-store drinks) is harvested and sun-baked into 5 different varietals, each with unique colors, aromas, and tastes (and following the sun both literally and figuratively in terms of names and descriptors). Overall, it's a fun experience if you enjoy that sort of thing (and your wait happens aligns with a tasting slot or you can always a reserve ahead of time as well), so 5 stars for Miranda and the tasting, but the actual milk teas were lacking and a disappointment given the hype, cost and wait.

The drink took about 25-30 minutes to be prepared so don't come in a hurry!! I inserted the straw into the bottom of my cup and sucked. Nothing came out. I had to suck with more strength, due to the thick consistency of the drink. Finally, a gelatinous, slimy and sort of sweet substance came out of the tip of the straw. You do have to work for it due to the thickness of the drink, it's not liquidy. The actual matcha had a strong and smooth taste but to be honest was a little too concentrated which made it a bit astringent. This drink was truly a journey for the mouth. Usually a drink is about taste but this one was much more about tactility, or at least that's how it felt. Unfortunately the substance seemed to leave a strange metallic, unpleasant aftertaste that lasted for quite a while after finishing the drink. We were probably thirsty from our 2 1/2 hour drive from Monterey, grubbing on the rich and tasty food from Original Joe's, and walking around the bumping shopping center. Wifey is always in the mood for boba, coffee, or flavored tea. We turned to our trustworthy Yelp app and found Pit Stop Boba Shop. Pretty cool to find a boba shop inside a Arco gas station. Besides the uniqueness of its location, Pit Stop served arguably one of the most refreshing and tasty drinks we've had. I knocked it down to 4.5 stars because one of the gas pumps has a skimmer and I was alerted by my bank of a fraudulent charge. Buyer beware buying gas from this gas station. Pit Stop is on the corner of Gellert Blvd. and Westborough Blvd. It's across from another gas station that houses a Subway and Chase bank is across the way. If you're bewildered pulling into an Arco gas station to buy boba, you are not in the wrong location. Pit Stop shares the Arco convenience store where you would normally buy snacks, sodas, and candy, which you also could purchase. The convenience store and Pit Stop are independent businesses, so if you want a boba, you'll need to place your order at their register. Parking consists of what any gas station usually has, so we just parked at one of the gas pumps since we had to get gas. There aren't any tables to chillax and I'm sure most of their business is to go orders. The decor fits the gas station theme with its order counter looking like an industrial tool box, auto service ads plastered on the wall, and other knick knacks. The young lady behind the counter was friendly and got our drink order out pretty quickly. This would be a true statement for Pit Stop. I went to get gas, but came home with some boba. The menu consists of specialty drinks, instructions to make your own drink, and they also sell snacks. This was our first time visiting a boba shop hidden inside a gas station and you might be thinking there's no way quality drinks can come out of a gas station. I can assure you that you would be wrong. I highly recommend you order their #4 specialty drink, the TooTea FruiTea, because it was refreshing, sweet, and tasty. This drink comes with strawberry, peach, mango, organic green tea, and actual strawberry, mango, and pineapple bits. I really enjoyed the combination of the different fruit flavors and the chewy treats of the fruit pieces. My wife ordered their #2 specialty drink, the Lychee Peachberry, and just like me, she really enjoyed her drink. I would have never thought that a boba shop inside a gas station would serve memorable drinks. The Pit Stop Boba Shop is not only a memorable place, but it has drinks that makes it worthwhile for you to make a pit stop. Just make sure to check for any skimmers if you're buying gas at the Arco.

For sure there will be a next time! 5/5 There are tables for those who would like to relax and have a seat while drinking their drinks. I sat down for about 5 minutes and my order was ready! Quick service! Looking over the menu, you can customize your drink and make all kinds of concoctions! Or you can pick a specialty drink with already set items. Either way, you can't go wrong! Haha I guess I've been missing out all these years. Can't wait to go back and try another drink at Coco3!
