Vegan options this time that I tried were grilled portobello mushroom, veggie burger, bbq beans, and then they also provided some fruit. The mushroom was decent, juicy and well seasoned, however veggie burger was quite dry and flavorless on its own. I probably liked the beans the best. Everyone raved about the food, saying it was the best they had since we've held the event - which has been many, many years! I've been at large events that were catered by Frank's but picking up a bbq meal just for my family was a special treat. Chicken, pulled pork, sausage links, corn on the cob, mac & cheese, cornbread, potato salad and beans. All just for our family, no standing in a long line hoping there would still be some chicken left by the time I got to the serving table. Frank! The food was so amazing. Everyone says it was the best wedding food. Okay, maybe people have to say that about your wedding, but I had some and it was absolutely delicious. Frank is a complete professional too. He was there at every meeting and walkthrough, called us at any hour of the night for updates and to answer our questions, and was just so easy to work with. So many of our guests went back for seconds and asked if Frank owned a restaurant. They were so disappointed when I said it was catering only because they really wanted to go and have more BBQ! At our actual wedding, Frank made sure we were taken care of and well-fed. He had one person stationed near us just to make sure that we had everything that we needed. We had Frank's Texas BBQ catered to us at work today. I'm not a big BBQ fan; however, the meal was delicious - even better when you don't have to pay for it . I inhaled my plate so fast that I couldn't breathe after - jokes! But I ate it so fast that I forgot to take a picture . Maybe the food is good and this was an isolated incident. But you'd think if you were preparing bbq for a large facility, like Kaiser, you'd be prepared and well stocked. Kaiser had a bbq for the employees and used Franks for the food. I'm sad to say that I was glad I brought food from home after seeing what people were eating and the complaints about dry and burned chicken. I assure you, if you have ever tasted the BBQ, you would most definitely want to write a review .... after you lick your fingers of course. I ran into Frank while working on my car in San Mateo. What first caught my eye was the BBQ trailer that was being pulled behind the van. I have friends from Texas and know a full size Texas grill when I see one. This was one! I stopped him to chat and he told me the kinds of food and catering they offered. Frank himself is a really cool dude, friendly and polite. They are able to cater to most needs and are able to put together somewhat customized menus for their customers. I was working on a planned Car Meet and asked them to cater it for us in Burlingame. Frank put together a great menu that had BBQ! Ribs, Chicked, Corn, Bread, etc. It was a great menu and the pricing per plate was pretty darned fair too (Had to throw a lil Tex Slang in there!) I had Frank's Texas BBQ catered my boyfriend's 30th birthday. I first contacted Frank by email through the information I got on their website. Frank emailed me right away with menu options. I got the Texas Combo BBQ and it was more food than I expected!!! Everyone at the party kept asking where I got the food from. They loved it. It was a hit!!! The menu consisted of pork ribs, tri-tip, chicken, sausage, corn, watermelon, potato salad, caesar salad, and assorted rolls! Btw, their sauce is the bomb and they do not skimp on the dressing for their caesar salad, it was dressed just the way it should be! Payment was easy and done before the party, so on day of I did not have to worry. They delivered the food a little earlier (to me that is on time). Frank catered my 40th birthday party providing the most delicious, fresh food to 80 of my friends and family. If you're looking to have BBQ for your party or event, I can highly recommend Frank's. We had about 85 people for a party at a park. Frank was immediately responsive to our initial outreach, setting up a date, letting us know what he needed at the party site and working with us to make some adjustments to the menu. Basically, he was a professional. Closer to the event, we made a request about food prep due to food allergies of some of the guests, and Frank was most accommodating and totally understood what we wanted. The day of the event, his crew was there on time and was totally self-sufficient. That is, he didn't need to bother us about anything. Food was ready, right on time.
