Got there around 7:03 (they open at 7) Looked in the case & didn't see the hot dog danish so I asked the young lady if they're out & she didn't know what I was talking about. Apparently she had no idea about the hot dog danish - so I stepped outside and called my husband and look on their IG to see if I was in the right place. Both confirmed I was - then I walked back in and she looked confused still & said they will probably be out later at lunch with the pizza - so I told her I'd walk back around 11-12. So I'm on my phone 3 hours later around 10am and I see the Hot Dog danish is sold out. extremely bummed over here. I got 2 sandwiches here, the turkey and the Italian hoagie, and it was an execution in KISS*.   Open interior, bright and airy, always music. Typical cafe with sandwich situation. If they're busy, they might forget to call your name and you'll need to go get the food yourself, which is frankly impossible to fathom when you come from San Francisco. But Pacifica is different, y'know?   Anyway.  ------------------------------ First, the turkey sandwich. 5/5 I'm guilty of expecting the meat to be the focus on a sandwich, but in this case the turkey was the filler, which, as a carnivore, is there a better meat filler? Bread, dijon, lettuce, turkey, queso. The dijon did for flavor what the lettuce did for texture, throwing in a twang that kept the sandwich interesting. Its creaminess tag-teamed with the cheese to keep the sandwich in one piece. Great sidekicks. The turkey was... Nothing special. Clean but mundane, for the star of the show was the bread.    Some of you might roll your eyes.  No shiet, Sherlock.  THIS. IS.  A bakery.   Cuz some of you might roll your eyes.  It's just bread.    But this isn't wonder-bread. It's dense. It's got a chew.   The sourdough is minimally sour, hearty, with a thick, hard crust, and made matrimony with the turkey. A lil bit of salt, the slightest tang, tango-ing into a single texture. Those of us who've had an egg sando in Japan understand how the softness of the egg salad made the softness of the bread fundamental. The turkey here wasn't slipping anywhere, though it complimented the meatiness of the bread. This, sandwich, needs, teeth.    I hope you weren't expecting to eat turkey without teeth. Perhaps that's tofurkey you're thinking about.   The crust was hard too. A well supported, almost crunchy hardness, and a far cry from the st-ale pork rind that the free bread in Mont-real would remind you of. I ended up turning the sandwich sideway as if I was enjoying a taco.   The best panera you'll get and a supreme sleeper.   ------------------------------ The second sandwich: 4/5 The sesame studded hoagie, on the other hand, was nothing short of Guns N' Roses. This sub had a KISS of intensity from the seared meats, a KISS of spice from the mayo and capocollo, a KISS of sharpness from the provolone, and a single leaf of romaine to give that little crunch and freshness, so you can tell your mom that you ate your veggies. There's going to be a rock concert in your mouth. With each element in a bit to prove their existence, it ended up being too intense for us. With these all being strong flavors, it's amazing that you could still taste everything. And they work well together. It's just that your taste buds will send an SOS, walking out of a Black Sabbath concert feeling a bit drained, like Spongebob breaking down after working the tables at Squidward's five star restaurant. The crustiness of the roll, the studded texture of the sesame, the meat escarpment slipping out, you will have no more desire for thee. Water. Something to cleanse the mouth.   If you're one of those among us who gets sweet emotions eating curry without naan or rice, this could be your bad medicine.   * Keep it simple, stupid. read more

I went here for the first time today. Chocolate croissant was $7 (they're $6 at Arsicault) and there wasn't much chocolate filling, see photo. One of my favorite ways to start my weekends is stopping by Rosalind Bakery for an Avocado Toast and coffee. But what is a trip out here without buying one of their baked pastries? FOOD: 9/10 COFFEE: 8/10 SERVICE: 8/10 AMBIANCE: 8/10 FOOD: 9/10 I love getting an Avocado Toast from here. Their sourdough is thick and yummy. They lather the toast with a lot of Avocado, so you definitely get what you pay for. I love their generous sprinkle of everything but the bagel seasoning! I love their pastries as well. No notes. No comments. Honestly, just really good, no matter what you pick. Just know, they definitely sell out for sure! COFFEE: 8/10 I've tried 2 different crafted lattes from here and thought they were decent! I ordered a standard Iced Vanilla Oatmilk Latte, and it was okay! It was neither the best I've ever had. I do like how I can taste the espresso shot, and the drink wasn't too milky. I also tried their Seaside Shakerato (I think that's what it's called, I forgot) and that was yummy! I loved the salted caramel taste, but the drink was slightly too milky and sweet for me. I would still get it again, haha. SERVICE: 8/10 Service is pretty standard out here and straightforward. AMBIANCE: 8/10 The space is simple, but the view of the open kitchen, along with the display of freshly baked pastries and loaves of bread, really adds to the ambiance. First time visiting! The pastry window is beautiful. I ordered the blue corn cookie, chocolate crossaint, and kouigan aman. Reviews of each: Blue corn cookie - subtle sweetness, great grainy texture that I really enjoy. Very light almost like the essence of a Madeline cookie. Chocolate croissant - I would pass on this next time, it's very light and it's got good air pockets but chocolate is definitely lacking. It's not as dense compared to some other popular SF bakeries if that's the texture you're looking for. Kouigan amann - my favorite one. Crispy, sweet, with I think a pistachio pastry cream in the middle. Will try coffee next time. Overall prices are pretty competitive and up there but in this economy it's understandable. read more

The wait time here was a bit long at around 10 in the morning but oddly the line died down quite quickly at around 11 onwards, so it seems like the wait time can fluctuate throughout the day. Decided to order a few sweet pastries, pizza, and baguettes and after trying a bit of each one, they were all great in quality and freshly made. It was also my first time trying an Irish Soda bread and I have to say it was like a very dense pound cake with dried fruit inside and thoroughly enjoyed it! All the staff here were very friendly and felt very welcoming to enjoy a brief stay here for my baked goods and coffee (coffee was also great quality too). If I'm ever back in Pacifica for whatever reason, I can definitely see myself making a bit of a drive to stop by here for more. Fast forward, she leaves to go back to college and I have a day off from work so I decide to check it out bc she thought it was worth checking out. Nice parking, plenty of parking out front. Lots of baked goodness to choose from as well as sandwiches made to order and coffees and other beverages. I opted for the kouign amann that had lemon curd in it. It was just okay, I'm a big of a snob when it comes to KA and I compare it to any of the ones I've had from b.Patisserie. That is and always will be my standard. Very nice coffee and bakery shop at pacifica. We found it ehrn we look for coffee and bakery shop nearcpacifica pier. We stopped by on the way to see whale at the pier. The complex was kind of empty. The shop is pretty large with in house bakery. The also has store at the SF. There are plenty of coffee and pastries options and we ordered Latte, matcha, and almond croissant. I wish they serve the drink using ceramic cup instead of paper cup. Latte, matcha and croissant are good. Looks like they are famous with pizza. They also has other type of croissant. read more

Nice and fresh pastries! Today we tried the almond croissant, chocolate croissant, and sweet seasonal Danish. The chocolate croissant was very light, soft, and puffy just the right amount of chocolate. The almond croissant was sweet with white powdered sugar and almond filling, though a bit too sweet for our taste. The sweet seasonal Danish had a grapefruit topping that was pleasantly sour, but we couldn't quite identify the flavor of the filling. First saw them on Check Please recently, I just knew, I had to check them out. Sad their pastry menu is not on their website. I wanted to better identify the pastries I did buy and try. All $7, went @ 1:45 weekday, some left, but a fair amount sold out. Biggest disappointment was the Almond Croissant - pretty but flavorless as this relates to the Almond paste. Purchased 2 savory pastries, with roasted veggies, spinach and feta cheese. Pretty good when heated up in the oven, but a tad underwhelming. Winner winner was a flaky pastry, folded into four corners, filled with a luscious cream that included bits of Lemon. IT was outstanding, also warmed just a tad in the oven. I will most definitely be back to see their whole "plethora" of goodies, only earlier than 1:45 PM. read more

I stopped by Rosalind Bakery with a friend on a Saturday afternoon, and she grabbed quite a few pastries while I only grabbed their morning bun. The morning bun was flaky, buttery, and had a fruity sweetness inside (which I was not used to in kouign-amann/morning bun) that I enjoyed! Even closer to the end of the day, the bun still tasted fresh! The service, though, felt a bit off. Nice spot to take a break and grab a muffin, croissant, scone, sandwich, pizzas, chocolate chip or some artisan bread. I was actually looking for the cornmeal cherry scone as I saw a few postings on their Yelp page. That's one of my favorite scones that can be found at a worker-owned cooperative in SF, Berkeley and Oakland and was hoping they had them available. My first visit I asked the young lady about the scone with a response "what? (blank stare) and said "whatever is on the menu"...I said "do you carry it seasonally?"...again (blank) and then said "whatever is on the menu"....um thanks...so helpful! 2nd visit (today, Sunday) was much better and when I asked about the scone, it was mentioned "whenever the chef gets the cherries" *shrugs* but at least much more personable. Items: olive citrus-herb sourdough bread, almond poppyseed and chocolate chip cookies were the faves. Blueberry scone was good but I have my fave spot. Friend tried the pizza and mentioned it was good but sauce on the sweeter side. Late Sunday morning visit was busy with people and live music. Plenty of lot parking and located in the Safeway shopping center. 3 tables for outdoor seating. Best, local croissant in town. Roslind Bakery. It's also a nice place to hang out. On the weekends they even have live music. But they are more than just a croissant and music, may or also the best local Bakery for artisan breads, sandwiches, and small meals. Excellent coffee as well. Other offerings of locally made items of quality nature. Clean inside and out, including the bathroom. Easy to find with lots of parking in the Pacific Manor Shopping Center in upper Pacifica. I would say realistically 3.5 stars Definitely best sourdough in Pacifica, however their quality is inconsistent; some days the bread is over-baked, others days it's fine. Frequently their pastries are over-done as well. It's a shame because their baked good stew really excellent but their quality control is inconsistent. There are days I have high hopes to get a box of goods only to leave precise everything looks burnt. I hope they fix this and become more stringent on consistency. read more

Been wanting to try this bakery for a while and now that I'm back in town, I did! We got the Butter Croissant ($6), Almond Poppy Muffin ($4) and a Sourdough loaf ($14). The croissant was ok, and I also especially liked the muffin because of how flavorful the almond was. We also got two drinks: a hot vanilla latte and a cappuccino. Both drinks were ok and were priced around $5-$5.50 -- thought it was a little pricey considering the drink sizes are small. The service was solid. They give you your baked goods right away and then you just wait for your drinks to be made, which wasn't too long. There are a few tables inside and outside to wait/eat at. Came here for a light breakfast with the family the day before Mother's Day. All of the tables were already full and there was a line out the door, so I was expecting it to be tasty and was happily proven correct. My husband got the breakfast sandwich and really enjoyed it. I got avocado toast on I loved it. The bread was super tasty and soft and they did not skimp on the avocado! It was super loaded. We didn't try their pastries because we were already full, but they looked good! We did order a Vietnamese iced coffee, and it tasted nothing like a Vietnamese iced coffee. This is such a hidden gem in Pacifica located in Manor Plaza right next to Safeway. Delicious freshly baked bread, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, pizza bread & a coffee + tea menu. Live music is hosted & the environment is super welcoming. Rating is a 4.5/5 solely based on the wait time for coffee & matcha lattes. I've visited a handful of times and each time it appears they are short staffed on their espresso bar so I'm left waiting quite awhile for my drink even past my breakfast sando. On that note, their breakfast sando is a MUST - delicious and big enough to share. Pricey, but worth it! Their pastries, especially their almond croissant, are always buttery and fresh. Hey friends, I am honestly sad to leave this review. I started coming here when there was construction and I loved the vibe (even with all that going on). Loved the recent live band compared to what has been typical. I was pretty disappointed mostly with the quality of espresso bar drinks. I kept trying because I loved what this coffee shop felt like initially for me and really loved the quality of everything! I don't think I can justify the coffee quality anymore.. I ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk. This is a photo as soon as I made it to the car. You may not be able to the steam but I regret taking a sip on the way to my vehicle (second parking spot from the middle row- super close). I burned my taste buds off literally. Could not taste the coffee. Please please educate your baristas on proper temperature. If the foam immediately disappears or there is none at all when you pour, don't serve that. Especially if it's possible it's because it's too hot. It's obvious from the look that this latte is too hot but to be hot 10 minutes later with still so much steam.. makes me only imagine what the actual temp was. Makes me think McDonald's 92. Better safe to know the temps! It can also be good training to use a thermometer to have baristas feel the temp while knowing the exact degree. Should be between: 150°F - 160°F. It actually changes the flavor of the coffee also. Have them try a cup the way they normally make it and after monitoring the temp. Anyway, so so sorry to leave this review but it's been driving me crazy getting these crazy hot lattes and I thought maybe they just don't know. read more

It's a beautiful day to hit the beach, so we drove over to the coast. Given all the food options, we stopped by Manor Plaza for lunch, and Rosalind Bakery caught our eyes. While the shelves were fairly empty around 1:30pm on a Saturday, lucky for us they're still making sandwiches. We ordered the Rosalind Hoagie (Italian classic with turkey and salami) and a Breakfast Sandwich with Ham. The breakfast sandwich was fine, but the hoagie roll was amazing! We washed our lunch down with a mocha and a chai latte. For dessert, we tried the cornmeal cookie since that's the only sweet item left. To our surprise, it's quite delicious...it's like a crispy cornbread with a healthy dose of cinnamon. We'll definitely come back next time we're in the area. read more

We came here because a specific baker/chef was doing a sandwich popup, but of course we had to order some of their baked goods as well. We came later in the day so they were already out of some of the more classic pastry options, but we were still able to order a sourdough round, chocolate chip cookie, croissant, and a slice of pizza. They had quite the pizza selection, I counted 7 different flavors while we were in, and a unique variety of sourdough, including one with beets and carrots, and another with olives and citrus. We ended up going with the classic sourdough, but will absolutely try one of the fun flavors next time. For pizza we got the shroomy, and it was delicious, though it was a tough call because they all looked good. I would definitely come back here and try some of the other pizza flavors. The chocolate chip cookie and croissant were both delicious, but had a unique flavor to them. I couldn't pinpoint what it was, but the croissant almost tasted like it was made with a sourdough, and the cookie maybe had some cornmeal? Not sure what exactly it was, but I still enjoyed each and appreciate that they were a little bit different than what I normally get. read more

I've stopped in a couple of times to pick up bread, and it's always fresh with really great options to choose from. Love their olive loaf! They also offer a nice variety of pastries, drinks, and light bites, making it more than just a quick bakery stop. The space is cute and inviting, with a good amount of seating. Here is the good: AMBIANCE: Clean, bright, roomy, w an occasional local band playing not too loudly. Usual ambient music is pleasant and in the background, so you can talk. BAKES: Very good baguettes, esp w their butter. Pizzas have thick squares of bread - baked through and chewy. Morning.Buns are baked through and nicely layered, w a sweet very crisp skin. The service was good though the staff seems a little short staffed and quite busy! I tried the ham and cheese croissant and was surprised to taste a sweet and tangy flavor on the crust, which kind of clashed with the savory taste I was going for. I asked for it warmed up and the inside was still cold unfortunately. I recommend coming very early for something fresh as I came in after 10am. The inside is a unique surf industrial bakery style with dried flowers on the windows. Quirky but not overdone. They do have wifi for customers and it's located in a convenient shopping center. I came here a few years ago and forgot to leave a review! Went back again today and finally getting around to it. Let me start by saying the staff are so kind. You really feel like a local coming here. The bread is divine! They're into good crispy crust and soft inside. We got breakfast sandwiches that were really good. One qualm was that we both asked for over hard/scrambled eggs and they both came runny. I asked them to remake mine as I can't currently eat runny eggs and they were more than willing and apologetic. The remade sandwich was *chefs kiss*. We also got the almond croissant which had such a great spread on it and toasted almonds on top.
