I ordered the $11.99 Snack + Drink Combo, choosing the popcorn chicken and a Red Bean boba milk tea. The food took about 10 minutes to prepare, and the drink and chicken came out at the same time. The tea was fine, with a decent amount of both red bean and boba. But the size of the popcorn chicken was much larger than I expected, easily sharable. And it came unseasoned, meaning you could add as much chili powder and salt & pepper as you wanted, both of which are available in shakers at the counter. Every drink I've ever gotten has been good - in both appearance and taste. They offer a good variety of options, ranging from your normal milk teas to more special drinks. The fish Fried Fish Ball (10) were comparatively small, but tasted as expected. The Popcorn Chicken tastes good, but they were severely undercooked. Both times I ordered popcorn chicken from here, the meat was still very pink. Service was decent. You order via the self service kiosk screen and then just wait until your order number gets called. The interior is decorated nicely - has a modern feel to it. However, the cleanliness is another story. Ordering is done through a kiosk, which took me a few minutes since it was my first time exploring their menu. A plus is that they allow customization of ice and sugar levels. I ordered a Matcha with boba, Thai Tea with boba, and Classic Black Milk Tea with boba. Despite the store being empty, it took around 8 minutes to receive my three drinks. While not an excessively long wait, it was noticeable given that there were no other orders. The space itself is quite large, with plenty of tables for sit-down dining. There's also a small retail section selling cute toys, which adds a nice touch to the atmosphere. Overall, Tea Ever has potential, but the lack of customer engagement was disappointing. This Teaever is located in King Plaza. The parking is a bit difficult here, as this is a decently busy plaza and the spots are pretty cramped. I ended up parking around the corner on the street and walked over. Not much service, as I ordered online, but my drink came out decently quick. I ordered a jasmine milk tea with boba at 50% sugar and light ice. At 50% sugar, it was a good sweetness for me, but for light ice, they do not put that much ice, so the drink was not that cold and it tasted a bit lukewarm - I had to ask for more ice. I enjoyed how creamy the milk tea was, while it had a good jasmine tea taste to it as well. A bit confusing because I am not sure, if they are rebranded from Ha Tea (or vice versa), as they were using the cups with their logo. Also, not sure, if they are affiliated with the Millbrae location either - this location is so much better, if they are related. It also seems like it could be a good place to get some work done or a potential study spot because of all the seating they have and how quiet it seemed (not sure, if they had wifi though), but the only problem was all those fruit flies hovering around the entrance when you first come in (on the inside). read more

There's a bowling alley across the street. The bowling alley is open late (til the AM). This place seemed to be open second latest. They have these ramen combo or combo meal options. Might be good. I didn't try any food but most people were ordering food when I went. Regarding what I got, I found them on Too Good To Go (an app for businesses to sell leftovers at a 1/3 of their retail value). Super rude service and the worst Thai Iced Tea in Daly City. Came here and no one was in line. The woman was super rude when I asked if they had any black tea with cream. They don't. The thai tea tasted like pure sugar and fake milk mixed together. It was horrible. The tea they used didn't even taste like Thai tea. Horrible. I asked them if I could please get another drink since this one was so bad, and she started complaining to her supervisor in Chinese. She didn't know I could understand her. She said basically in Chinese that it would be a waste of time to get me another drink when I didn't order any food and it's just easier to say no then to remake it. WOW. I was so confused about what happened to Onyx tea. I figred the sign changed to Teaever, but for the life of me I couldn't find this place on Yelp, only the millbrae location. Still glad to have another boba place around where I live. I do like the ordering system here, its a self service screen where you tap your order in and pay. If you do have cash only, luckily there is a register still. I ordered the mango surprise and 4 seasons tea w/ crema. The mango drink already has toppings included, but additional toppings are 50¢ each. The mango chunks were super big and got stuck inside the straw but at least I am paying for real fruit that was good quality. The smoothie part was very refreshing. The tea strength in the crema was also strong and the crema is well made. And I think it's already great if the drinks aren't too sweet. I believe this place may have gotten an unfair bad rap - the few times I've been so far, the service and milk tea came out quickly (and were absolutely delicious!), the spam musubi was warm and tasty (I'm excited to try their other food), and they have a bunch of cute couch tables and seating.
