One drink I miss, which I used to get a lot, is sugarcane. I had my go-to spot when I was living in Hawaiʻi. Too bad we don't have as many options in the Bay, but Sugarcane HQ is the place to go! My companion found this spot and recommended we go. The shop is cute and a decent size. They have a kiosk you can order on, or you can order in person. The decor is nice, and the vibes are great inside. The workers were all very nice, friendly, and efficient. They have different drink sizes available. Plus lots of different flavors that you can even mix and match! We got a Calamansi and Strawberry. Both were superb and a nice mix of sweet and their respective flavors. The sugarcane is pressed in front of you--it's so fresh. I highly recommend these flavors! I love Sugarcane HQ; I wish I lived closer so I could come more often! Next time I'd love to try more of their tropical flavors. Find them off San Mateo Ave., with street parking around. read more

This is always my go-to spot whenever I'm craving a refreshing, sweet drink. I love the naturally sweet flavor from the cane juice, it tastes fresh, light, and not overly sugary. It's also a great deal at $10 for a large size, and you can choose two add-on flavors. I always choose the kumquat and calamansi combination, while my friend got calamansi and passion fruit. Both were absolutely delicious and super refreshing. The guy who always works there is incredibly friendly and provides great customer service, which makes every visit even more enjoyable. The place is also always very clean and well-kept, creating a welcoming atmosphere every time we stop by. I'll definitely keep coming back! :) read more

We are blessed to have fresh sugar cane juice available in our area. Someone from my family stops here at least once a week because it is that good. It also helps that the owner is very cool. If you crave fresh sugar cane juice like how they do it "back home" (wherever that is for you)- look no further! read more

Solid sugarcane juice. Love that you can get it with a number of other ingredient options (went for the calamansi which added a nice citrusy flavor that balanced the sweetness). I will probably be getting this every time I am down in the area and trying the different mixes. Service was quick and watched it made fresh -- can't beat that! read more

I stopped by on a Saturday morning for some fresh juice. Interesting to see that they squeeze sugarcane right in front of you as you order. And it was no water added. I went for an original and a calamansi ones. Both were really good. I liked the calamansi one slightly more. But the original one felt sweeter. read more

Great location to order a naturally refreshing drink. They press the sugarcane juice right in front of you, and you can see all the fresh sugarcane they go through in the store! I ordered the honeydew sugarcane juice option, and it was super light and perfect for a hot summer day. Perfect addition to the lineup of restaurants and spots in downtown San Bruno. read more

I always enjoy stopping by Sugarcane HQ when I'm in downtown San Bruno. The staff's always friendly and welcoming. They juice the sugarcane right in front of you, so it's always fresh. Yeah, it's a bit on the pricier side, but it's not easy finding places around here that offer fresh sugarcane juice. It's worth treating yourself every now and then. My favorite combo is Sugarcane with Coconut (so refreshing!) and the original plain Sugarcane is great too. read more

LOVE this place! This is the only place in the area that I know that serves such fresh sugarcane. I like how we can see them make it too with the machine that presses the sugarcane. It's perfect every single time. The person working is always so friendly, and we love coming here. I typically get the sugarcane with kumquat! read more

It's a small shop with some seating and lots of greenery as decor. You use the machine to order and collect your drink at the counter. The employee crushed the sugarcane fresh and added the fresh fruits. Our drinks were absolutely delicious, just on the expensive side (one star off, as not very affordable). Nonetheless, a great beverage. read more

Even though I don't get it very often, freshly pressed sugarcane juice is so deliciously good. The reason why I don't get it more? Well, besides for the sake of my waistline, it's that I haven't found a good place for it anywhere outside of San Jose! Of the ones I have tried, they've either been insanely sweet (even for sugarcane juice) and/or they didn't taste very fresh. So, after listening to my buddy rave about Sugarcane HQ before we decided to stop in, I was equal parts skeptical and extremely hopeful for how good this place might be! Much like my go-to spots in San Jose, Sugarcane HQ presses their own sugarcane fresh in-house (you can even watch as they do it). However, what sets this place apart, for me, is the variety of flavors you can choose from and how you can even create your own pairings. So, whether you want something like passion fruit and mango, kumquat and ginger, or just their original option, you can put together whatever flavors your tastebuds are craving! With so many enticing flavors to choose from, it would be fair to say I was torn on what to get. Ultimately, after a bit of waffling, I opted to get a CALAMANSI & KUMQUAT SUGARCANE JUICE. Now, I don't want to toot my own horn, but I think I did a pretty awesome job of picking flavors. Of course, not as good of a job as the workers did of putting together said drink, which was fantastic. Not only did this taste super fresh, but the tartness and acidity of both fruits did a great job of cutting through the sweetness of the sugarcane. What's more, they also complemented each other so well. In fact, I wish there had been more of both! As good as my drink tasted, the one (slight) knock about Sugarcane HQ is that, as others have already noted, the prices here are slightly higher than what Vietnamese delis in San Jose typically charge. That being said, considering how much closer this place is to SF and the fact that it just tastes so much better, I'm more than happy to spend more on the occasional splurge here when the cravings strike. Although, now that I've found a place so much closer to me, those "occasional" splurges just might start to become a little less occasional! read more

It is so hard to find fresh sugarcane juice these days but this place is legit! Also provides amazing customer service with their Pho De Nguyen partner next door. Delicious and refreshing sugarcane juice place. Once you walk in, you order on the kiosk. You can choose the size - small ($8) or large ($10) then you can choose the flavors- there are original, passion fruit, beet, calamansi, and many more. I got the original and passionfruit, and they were both so good. So refreshing especially on a hot day. They didn't put a lot of ice which is pretty nice. But they do have an option for $1 extra for no ice. Definitely will come back, it's right next to a really good pho place too. read more

Placed an order for pick up and the worker/owner was super nice! He gave the extra to my toddler and interacted with her. The Sugarcane was delicious and super refreshing. Our favorite add in is Kumquat. Word of caution though, if you don't know what black salt is.. be warned that it will make your drink smell like farts from the sulfur. We didn't know and added that but prob wont be ordering that flavor again lol. read more

Delicious sugarcane in downtown San Bruno! Go here. You will not be disappointed. This is my go-to place for sugarcane in the peninsula. (I don't know any other spots until you get to San Jose.) Order at the kiosk and then watch the sugarcane get freshly pressed right in front of you! They have several different flavor options now (used to just be 2 or 3), including calamansi, passion fruit and ginger. My favorite is the calamansi! So refreshing. If it's not busy, the owner can let you try samples of the different flavor combinations! He's super friendly and helpful. There are some tables if you want to sit and hang. Very casual place with clean and cute interior. And while you're in the area, don't forget to stop by Pho de Nguyen next door for some bomb Vietnamese food! read more

Being fans of surgarcane juice, we've been wanting to come here forever! The hours never worked out; it'd be close when we would think of coming. I was glad I finally made it here one day earlier this month, on my way back to the peninsula from SF. It was in the middle of a weekday afternoon, so easy enough to walk in and order at the machine. The man behind the counter then started cold-pressing the surgarcane, and squeeze the calamansi into the drinks. Quick and easy, and made-to-order! The drinks were refreshing and tasty. Unlike other add-ons that might overpower the sugarcane flavors, I loved how the calamansi added to it. It was very good! I only wish it weren't so expensive though - two large sugarcane juice w/o ice (and tip) came out to be ~$26. read more

I wish I had discovered this sooner! I'm from SJ, so sugarcane drinks are abundant and almost everywhere, but I was shocked to know that it's not offered at many places near SF. I honestly didn't look that deep since I have so many options back home, but it was great grabbing drinks at Sugarcane HQ! We came on a Friday and the store was pretty empty. To be fair, we did come around 4:00pm, so maybe the sugarcane purveyors slip out later in the day, lol. My friend and I decided to go get sugarcane since we had another friend who's a tea hater (rip no boba). Therefore, finding Sugarcane HQ was the perfect option for our group! What I really enjoyed about this store was the option of putting two different flavor boosters in! Ranging from lime to kumquat to kalamansi, and more! I liked that we could add our own twist to each drink :-) The owner (maybe?) was super sweet and let us sample some fresh sugarcane to taste the difference between straight up sugarcane and sugarcane infused with our flavor booster of choice. I'm a kumquat and sugarcane girly hehe. Drink was everything you'd expect and I also liked that we could see the juicing right in front of us. No weird fillers added. All natural. All good! Overall, loved the place! Parking was really hard and the store was kinda hard to find. Luckily the pho restaurant next door has a vibrant blue canopy that helped us find the sugarcane spot. Will definitely have to return again!! read more

For some refreshing drinks this is definitely a spot you want to visit if in the area, this is not a boba spot, this is spot takes me back to when I use to go to the flea markets in the city off 280, fresh squeezed sugar cane use to be a weekly for me growing up. Glad I found this spot they do have several reiterations of the sugar cane drink but I can attest with all of the options I sampled I will be back for me Here is what we tried original sugar cane - just squeezed sugar cane iced and in a cup, delicious sugar cane with calamansi - slightly sweeter meshes well with sugar cane sugar cane with coconut, ginger and lime - refreshing, that ginger gives your throat a kick, I would order this again sugar cane with coconut and pineapple - also refreshing, pineapple was bit muted but the coconut and sugar cane did come through I will definitely be back to sample more of their options drinks ***** price $$ service ***** very helpful staff, kids got to try sugar cane fresh off the bark lol ambiance ***** clean, spacious if your just waiting read more

I love that there's a place that does just solely sugarcane juice! Tbh, the only times I would ever get sugarcane juice is at night markets and random festivals when shops pop up. This place is located in a quiet strip in San Bruno and parking isn't too bad actually. The place itself is very earthy and it has that natur-y woodsy ambiance when you walk inside. I ordered 3 drinks and the cashier was super nice as well. I got the OG, the passionfruit sugarcane, as well as the calamansi sugarcane juice. All of which were all really good. Sugarcane juice has that really refreshing subtle taste and the addition of the calamansi really brightens it up more. The tang from the calamansi definitely balances out the sweetness and I genuinely enjoyed it. The passionfruit one was alright and the OG of course is good (which you should try first if you have never tried sugarcane before). If I'm in the area again, I am definitely coming back! read more
