Came here for a birthday smoothie on my birthday! This is a Jamba Juice location that has a lot of history for my boyfriend, and he drove us out here so that I could get my birthday smoothie. The service was really friendly, and even though there was a bit of hiccup with pulling up my account, I was able to get my Acai Antioxidant drink. This has got to be one of the worst Jamba locations in the bay. I went in last weekend to pick up an orange juice ordered on app and they said they don't do fresh juices anymore and are in process of taking it off of app. This morning I placed another app order at 10:15 am and for a Saturday morning they only had 1 person working. There was a long line and a lot of orders. Of course, had to wait for my order and it wasn't ready until 10:37 am. All it was, was a pretzel. Seriously, need to ramp up the hiring. read more

The boys and I love smoothies, so, naturally, Jamba Juice is a regular spot for us. Luckily, the location at San Bruno's Bayhill Shopping Center is just a few minutes drive from where we live, so we are frequent patrons of this place. Finding parking in the lot is not a problem. The shop is small, but spacious, and always looks well-kept. There are a couple of tables and chairs as well as a window counter available at which patrons can sit and sip indoors. Outdoor seating is also available at the storefront. Below are some of the many items that we have ordered at this Jamba Juice: ELECTRIC BERRY LEMONADE - This vibrant blue-hued smoothie is Z's go-to Jamba beverage. Even when it was not featured on the menu, the staff was still able to make this for him. PUMPKIN Smash - Meh. DJ was not super impressed by this. orange dream machine - Thumbs up from V. peanut butter moo'd - Two thumbs up from V. strawberries wild - This yummy smoothie is my favourite. I rarely stray from it. I can see why they call it "WHIRL'D FAMOUS!" razzmatazz - Very good! açaí primo bowl - A refreshing fruit bowl. The blended açaí-grape base is a bit tart, though. vanilla blue sky bowl - Dairy free creamy goodness with a nice mix of textures. chunky strawberry bowl - Yum/good! Service is always great here. Even if the line is out the door, the wait is never long at all. If team members make a mistake on drinks, they let you keep the erroneous beverages for free. The staff is not only friendly, they are also informative and helpful; when curious about açaí, Austin poured a tiny sample for us to try. These folks continue to be my go-to Jamba location. They are fast (even when there are multiple customers and one person working), friendly and accurate. Not sure I could ask for more. Today's encounter was just as expected: AMAZING. That's a high bar, but they meet it every time I go in. There were three (3) other customers while I was there...two before I ordered and one right after. I ordered a medium and two pretzels (I wanted one as a snack later too). While making my smoothie and others, she fit warming the pretzels as part of the workflow. The end result...both came out at exactly the same time and within three minutes of my order. Average price per smoothie at Jamba is now about $11. The prices on the menu for the peach perfection said it was $10.89.. They said they haven't updated the prices on the board. Service was good. What a great experience, thanks to the manager Thomas! I came in one morning early this past week. Parking is easy since they are in a shopping center so there is always parking Thomas greeted me and after ordering he got working on my order. I ordered 3 carrot/orange juices and I wanted to try the new vegan breakfast sandwich (minus the cheese) the Impossible Handwich. Thomas was professional, friendly, has a great smile and a wonderful attitude. The juices were fresh and delicious and are great first thing in the morning. The new vegan handwich is delicious, I asked to have the cheese removed before heating as the cheese is dairy cheese. Please make this with a plant based cheese. I came to this location for my go-to drink: the Greens N' Ginger after having a very disappointing rendition at another Jamba Juice retail location. This place made my drink exactly how I wanted it, and of course, you can't go wrong with a toasted cheddar tomato twist on the side! Service was expedient and everything inside the store was clean and organized, although the inside is a bit small so it can feel a little cramped when there are several customers there at one time. I noticed that two out of the 5 workers here during my last visit weren't wearing masks. While I get that masks are now optional for vaccinated people, for me personally I need a little more time to get used to being around unmasked people that I don't know, especially since I have a baby at home who isn't able to get vaccinated. Since these are also people that are directly breathing onto my food, I would feel a little more comfortable if the company policy was for employees to still keep their masks on for the time being, but I get this is probably more of an emotional than rational fear. read more

This location seems to be having some serious staffing issues. Went there today to get yummy smoothies, found the store in a state of chaos. There were 2 groups waiting on their drinks, and 1 person in line ahead of us. No one was at the register taking orders, the people making drinks seemed to be not able to keep up. The person in front of us left about 5-8 mins after we arrived, no one took his order or even acknowledged any of us were in the store. Not sure how long he was there before getting frustrated and leaving. Then one of groups was giving drinks, which ended up being someone else drinks. They gave them back and said, they should not serve them to anyone. But the workers ignored that statement and the drinks aside for the correct customer (gross!). We waited about 10 more minutes without anyone at the register or any acknowledgment. We look around and another customer said "it might be best to just leave" and so we left without ever placing an order or being acknowledged. This store really needs some help. read more

I've been to this Jamba Juice many times when I lived out here and have always had great service from the staff and a great product. Unfortunately, my recent experience fell below what I've come to expect from this location. It was a Thursday afternoon and with it being sunny and warm outside, I expected it to be busy here. Yup, it was busy. There must have been at least 10 customers waiting to pick up their orders and 5 customers in line to order including myself. I ordered my tried and true favorite, the banana berry smoothie. I expected the wait to be long so I knew that I would just be patient. What was going on behind the scenes was best described as chaotic and helter-skelter. Several times, I noted that when one of the employees would bring a stack of blending pitchers out, she would drop one or two of the tops onto the floor. The counter tops and the floors were wet from spilled smoothies, etc. There was actually a timespan of about 2-3 minutes when smoothies were not being put together and mixed. I looked around and noted that other customers were starting to get annoyed. I knew that I couldn't be annoyed because I just placed my order recently. When it finally came time to make my smoothie, one of the employees called my name and said that they were out of blueberries. She asked if I would like to substitute something else. I told her to maybe try strawberries. After getting my smoothie, I can tell you that I was disappointed. I know things happen and on warm days when there is a lot of business, you run the risk of running out of ingredients. I was disappointed that today was that day. Yikes, what a mess. So the first thing we noticed about this place is that it was PACKED during our recent visit. In the past, it's had good business, but this time, it was crammed to the max. You'd think they were giving away free smoothies or something, but maybe it was just the unusually warm weather they were having in the Bay Area this week, which might be Spring Break for some. I can totally vouch for the 1-star reviews that I read here on Yelp. The four female employees really do seem to be in over their heads. Not sure if it's from lack of training or from just trying to deal with the constant flow of customers or what, but management needs to do something about this. Hire more employees or put in better protocols to have the line flow more efficiently. I gave two stars because the employees really are very friendly and they seem like they're doing their best. It just seems like they're not as well-trained as other Jamba Juice employees. I did notice what another Yelper had mentioned--that one girl had unusually long hair that was not tied back. I would think that if you're constantly reaching into a freezer to scoop frozen fruit, it's a must to at least tie your hair in a ponytail. And even just from a practical standpoint--I can't imagine working a full day with my hair all over the place. So I was feeling a little sniffly this morning so we stopped by to get an Orange C-Booster, which is basically a smoothie with tons of vitamin C, zinc, echinacea. I asked for fresh-squeezed OJ, instead of the concentrate, which they'll do for no charge. I also subbed the bananas for blueberries. The smoothie is pricey (almost $8) but it's seemed to help me fend off colds for a few years now. My husband ordered his favorite, the Banana Berry. We stood in the little establishment that was crammed with people and watched with quiet interest at how there weren't any smoothies being made while more and more customers were filing in. Not sure where the employees all went at that time, but later one employee came back with a stack of cleaned pitchers. It was somewhat odd to watch the employees ask each other, "What is this?" and "Did I give you the Mango A Go Go?" My husband and I concluded later that there was a problem with the printer, and the slips of paper that are normally stuck onto the pitchers were not there, so they had to identify the smoothies by memory or by staring at a monitor. Then a few minutes later, about 20 slips of paper printed out, which was somewhat amusing. Kinda made me think of that Lucille Ball episode where the chocolate assembly line goes out of control. Then the employees started asking each other questions like, "Did we make the __ yet?" "So you're making the __ now?" It was very chaotic. But we figured we just needed to be patient during a busy time. I then noticed one employee take out a container that had about one tablespoon of blueberries left. I had never seen them take it out of the fridge before; usually it's scooped out of the freezer. They then called my husband and said that they had run out of blueberries. At the same time, they were calling another customer who had ordered the same smoothie. So then there was a bit of confusion as to what to substitute in place of blueberries. They gave me my drink, which tasted like watered down OJ. I was so disappointed. :( I mean, it's one thing if it's a free drink, but another (at least for me) when I'm paying $8 and getting a sub-par smoothie. I decided to ask the employee if perhaps they had left out sherbert or fruit or what. She said she had put in one scoop of blueberries (the fresh kind, not frozen, because they had run out), but she could add something else to it, if I wanted. So I figured I'd just get some strawberries thrown in, which she did for me. I was appreciative that she was at least friendly and willing to do that, despite being totally swamped with so many people waiting. In the meantime, another customer came in and said that she had ordered several customers ago and had not gotten her drink and pretzel. So then we had to watch them hurriedly get that order prepared. It was probably the longest I've ever waited for a JJ and with the most inefficient process. Hopefully management will help these ladies out by hiring more employees, making sure they have enough ingredients on hand everyday, having someone in the back to restock clean pitchers, check printer paper, and making sure this JJ lives up to everyone's expectations. I really enjoy this location, I used to work at jamba and still really enjoy their drinks (worked at the busiest location in the valley/Stockton Lincoln center) I usually go when they aren't too busy and they're pretty fast. This last Sunday I went, and they had a full store, they were a bit slow, only one person on drinks and one on register. One person should of been able to handle the line though. They keep the store pretty clean, the staff is usually friendly as well! Ill definitely keep coming to this location as it's pretty close to my work. read more

Love this place, especially for their açai bowls, I love all the new offerings they have. I miss the fact that they don't have fresh wheat grass anymore. The total should have been $7.50. Then she said that I cannot use my reward there and it can be used on my next visit. I told her to cancel my order and left. I wasted a trip there. I asked up front if it was possible to process the transaction and she said yes. I will not be going back to this location. My partner got the Chunky Strawberry & Raya was great in sharing her experience of me trying out the new one So upon trusting her..she says she likes the Vanilla Blue Sky?!! First I want recognize that this location is clean & second I believe that they are understaffed because there were only 2 hard workers with a long line. I did not get the name of the kind person that helped me. I ordered an açaí bowl for the first time and asked for my bowl without blueberries & in most cases they still add it to the base but he was kind enough to ask for my preference. Came in here to get my usual Match Green Tea Blast- SWEET & THICK. I have been getting this drink this way/modified for over a decade. Jamba Juice was my 1st job so I am familiar with expectations, product & service. I noticed my drink was darker than usual. This means the matcha will be potent and most likely not so sweet. I tried it & was was not sweet at all. I advised the crew behind the bar and one of the replied she put double foryo and I responded, its not sweet at all. She made another one. It was definitely sweet but now runny NOT thick. I walked back in and asked for a refund. There was no person-ability here. I am disappointed in the crew and their lack of energy as an establishment where you're supposed to walk out feeling energized by the vibrant colors, loud greetings (which I never hear here) & the blending of goodness of course. She gave me my refund with not a care in the world of what or HOW they did wrong. Not serious to correct their mistakes. ask if they can make it again. NOTHING. Wasted my time driving here, parking, walking, order, waiting, having to correct them & wait some more, all to just give me, the customer, the run around. It's not about the drink itself...the drink was good. It's one of your team member who was working today, Tuesday, September 22, 2020 around 12:30pm. She has this long thick eyelashes (which of course is fake). But her long long a_ _ nails should not be allowed when you work there. How can she do all the prep, hands on working around with those nails. It's dang too long. She can't event do the cash machine and enter those numbers...it's very unprofessional and too gross. She can't probably wash properly during her personal time. Sorry but you should not allow employees like that and must have a proper grooming standards. Along with make up. She was wearing this thick eyelashes like she is going to a club but she's working daytime. No bueno...but I guess she wants attention from the customers.
