I've been going to this Jamba Juice since college and almost religiously everyday in 2012 (during my pregnancy). Anyway, to be honest - there's not much in here to rave about, nothings changed for years, no upgrades nada but the menu. Very just order, wait, and take your drink to-go. Bathroom is located on the side, tables and chairs put aside but there is counter space with no chairs to lean on. Reason for my desire to review this place after years is because I was surprised at the customer service yesterday. Went in with my son, third in line and only 1 girl working the register. I was amazed at how patient and though I'd be overwhelmed being by myself, she handled every customer patiently and diligently - she was probably the assistant manager, didn't see a name tag. But she handled everything at ease. After 3 minutes of waiting, all of us got our orders handed and served by her. I thought I was going to sign 10 minutes or so but it was quick-- and my drink was to my liking and she executed my request about splitting the medium cup. Maybe even gave extra as moth our cups were filled. After passing it out, I guess 2 servers came out and she was even coaching them about something ~ this review is for homegirl who takes ownership and leadership with ease, kindness, and patience. Way to lead by example. My drink was also really made to perfection when I was hesitant, I'm assuming others as well since everyone quickly left the store. If Yelp and Google both says this location closes at 8pm, then in theory when I walk in at 7:49pm I should be able to buy my wife a smoothie. Well that wasn't the case today. The lights were off, looks like the ingredients were put away and the staff was sanitizing the food prep areas. When I asked if they were open one of the staff members said they were closed. I looked at my watch and I should've had 10 minutes left according to the hours posted online. I looked at the hours of operation on the door and it said they close at 8:30pm. I guess for this location just be there well before closing lol. Maybe there was a legitimate reason they had to close the store and I honestly hope everything is ok. Maybe a sign on the door with a brief reason for the early closure would put customers at ease a little. But it doesn't sit well with me if they decided to close early just because they didn't want to stay past closing. Whatever the reason, I hope everyone is ok. There were two people waiting for their drinks when we we entered, and they were prepping other smoothies. The others got their drinks and left. We continued to wait for someone behind the counter. There are two Jambas near me and I love this location because they're always on top of it. I had the Vanilla Blue Sky for the first time and wowza, new favorite drink. It was so good, i came back the next morning for another. The Vanilla Blue Sky is plant based, made with almond milk, coconut milk, and a bunch of different fruit that make the drink sound tropical(pineapple, specifically) but overall, it's a pretty subtle and creamy smoothie! Do NOT go to Serramonte Jamba Juice. Don't do it. If you MUST have a smoothie at Serramonte, go to Surf City. Or buy a bottled one from Target's grocery aisle for that matter. My Jamba Juice experiences at Bayhill & Westlake are always on point. But the service at this location is non existent. No smile, no acknowledgement, and the cashier acted as if we were disrupting her conversation with someone in the back by placing an order. TIP: Always ask for a copy of your receipt. Especially if you're rung up by "Christina". She intentionally overcharged me by 50%. Then gave a lame excuse as to why. And didn't offer me a receipt the way she did for the guy ahead of us and the lady rung up after me. As I stepped aside to wait for my drink, I didn't feel confident walking away without a record of the overcharge and the correction. So I went back to the register and asked for a copy. Christina provided me a receipt reprint but could not produce a copy of the voided transaction. Then she went to the back and spoke to the employee who was making our orders. Finally get our smoothies and the drinks are ridiculously skimpy. Paid for a 24 oz that must've been 20oz at most, the smoothie didn't even reach the top of the cup (see pics). Bullshit experience. Sometimes, even on a cold wet day, you just want a smoothie to power up with. I had a coupon and my girlfriend and I had just finished shopping next door at Target so we dropped our stuff off at the car and dropped into Jamba for a drink. I ordered from their "secret" menu and got the White Gummy Bear. I always thought that the candy version was sort of pineapple-y, but the Jamba version tasted of peaches. It was more like candy than anything and good in small doses, but I don't think I'd want it all the time. To it's credit though, it did remind me of a white gummy bear. Service was quick here (probably because it was so slow). They filled up our drinks to the brim, which is more than I can say for many other Jamba Juices. They've got some outdoor tables that you can chill with your dog at and watch the traffic go by, but on a rainy day like this, it was pretty much empty.
