    Strawberry Milk Green Tea
    Jacquelyn M.

Came to BB Tea two separate times and both times were great! I ordered a crème brûlée milk tea with boba at 50% sugar the first time and a strawberry milk green tea with boba and lychee jelly at 75% sugar the second time. Both of the drinks were really yummy. You order off a kiosk and it's really easy to order. The staff prepared my drink quickly both times. Overall would definitely come back!

A little hidden gem in the sunset! Delicious drink and amazing staff. My favorite thing to order is the matcha bliss, it's creamy, smooth, and has a bold matcha flavor. I get mine at 50% and it's perfect. Highly recommend this place for all their drinks! They also have snacks and the viral Mont Blanc that is rare to find in the Bay Area. They have an Ube flavor and Chestnut cake flavor. Go check them out!!

Great variety from drinks, dessert (Japanese crepes and monbloncs). There is also 2 specials going on: buy 1 drink and get 2nd drink for $3 (selected drink only, can add toppings) and buy 1 speciality crepe get second speciality crepe for $5. Ordered the drink deal: a creme brulee milk tea, one with boba and red bean, total was $10. Took a couple minutes to make drink. Cute interior design, but unfortunately there's only one table, so definitely a to go place. Creme brûlée (I think it tasted like custard creme) makes a cool swirl, but was stuck to the cup, wished the creme was more incorporated in the drink. Boba was a bit soft. Overall, a really great price for your boba fixes. Definitely will try the crepes next since it smelled really good at the shop.

I love their crepes so much! They have amazing texture and flavor. I haven't tried any of the drinks yet, but I will definitely be back to try more!

Date: Monday, April 28th, 2025 Meal: Boba Delivery Delivered: via DoorDash DoubleDash Time Ordered: around 5pm Time Delivered: about 1.25 hours later Delivered to: Outer Richmond Organic Matcha Matcha ($7.75) *Boba, Grass Jelly, Crystal Boba I'm not sure why it took over an hour to deliver a boba that was just across the park, but I'm afraid the integrity of the boba suffered from the transit time. I know it's not the fault of the shop, so I am taking that info consideration. Despite the toppings, the tea itself was just okay. Didn't have that bright fresh grassy matcha flavor I adore. It was kinda murky and dull. A little weak as well, so I added more match I had at home. Maybe I'll try a tea next as their matcha is just A-OK. REVIEW #3761

Not many places have chestnut special , as soon as I saw that I decided to give a try. I got chestnut cake and crepe. I don't think I will buy again, chestnut flavor was just a bit not quite there, and I don't like their crepe texture either, I used to get them from Japan town and I think I like those a lot better. I may still give a try of the boba tea next time. And worth noting for anyone interested, they have some kind of special if you purchase a gift card for certain value they will load free credit onto it , the lowest amount is $30 +$5 free credit.

    Mont blanc

3.5 stars. After learning of Mont Blanc on my recent Paris vacation, I came back to SF & started randomly seeing the dessert on offer. Why didn't I notice it before? This must be the phenomenon known as frequency illusion. We were having lunch nearby when I peeped BB Tea. I planned on stopping in for a drink, but upon seeing Mont Blanc Chestnut Cake on the menu, all thoughts of milk tea went out the window. Their version has vermicelli-like strands of chestnut purée over ice cream, cheesecake, & whipped cream. An ube version is also available. The cheesecake competes with the flavor of the chestnut & makes the dessert creamy on top of creamy. There was an abundance of fruit in my bf's Strawberry Crepe; the thin pancake cone was freshly made & had a satisfying crinkly exterior. With my Mont Blanc curiosity quelled, I may come back to give their tea drinks a try, but I won't go out of my way for it.

BB Tea has a great promotion going on right now where your second drink is $3 (only for select options). I was excited to see that their Creme Brulee Milk Tea is included in this promotion since that is my favorite go-to drink whenever it is an option at boba shops! Service was great; the employee was friendly and kindly allowed me to order the second Creme Brulee Milk Tea in person under the promotion after I ordered my first drink for pick-up on the Fantuan Delivery app. This shop is also Cantonese friendly -- the employee spoke both English and Cantonese. This was one of my favorite creme brulee milk teas! This drink stood out and was one of my favorites because it had cream layered throughout in addition to a creme brulee toping with torched sugar. I often see creme brulee drinks that have either the creme brulee topping with plain milk tea OR only cream layered throughout without a creme brulee topping, so this was a fantastic treat. Overall, I enjoyed the quality of the drink and the great service!

Creme brulee milk tea and Matcha mango latte

Kiddo wanted a sweet treat. He ordered the ube cake - he liked the ube part and thinks the cake part was like a cheesecake which he said was ok. Ordered the creme brulee milk tea at 50% sweetness. The cream part was good but the tea part could've been stronger.

    Ube and Chestnut Cake
    Rhea A.

Can't remember why I had this place bookmarked, but I'm so thankful for friends that help you check things off your Yelp bookmarks. We ordered the Ube and Chestnut cake. You know it's delicious when you say "It's not too sweet." The perfect amount of sweetness (at least for my Filipino self.) I loved the cakey texture and frosting richness. It was the perfect amount - I didn't feel overwhelmed afterwards. Would 10/10 recommend checking this spot out.

    Strawberry Matcha Latte
    Stephanie L.

Decided to stop by after seeing they had the Mont Blanc dessert which seems to be a big Japanese (at least touristy) thing I keep seeing on YouTube. The ube flavored squiggles on the top were the only good thing about this dessert (and the reason for the 2 stars instead of 1). The rest was disappointing and somewhat gross. The whipped cream was of the dairy free overly sweet variety. The ice cream I believe was vanilla and was almost gummy (I get it - cheap ice cream = more profit). And the cheesecake bites were frozen solid and didn't taste great once I could finally eat it. Altogether wasn't much better. I ended up just eating the top and tossing the rest. The strawberry matcha wasn't much better. Usually one of my favorites at several other boba places, this one was bitter (not in a good balanced matcha way, in an overpowering way) and strangely sour at times (I'm guessing from the strawberries, but I assumed those were in a sugar syrup). It also tasted quite watery. Lastly, the boba was HARD. So utterly disappointing. Will not be returning. At least the place was clean and service was fine.

Creme brûlée milk tea 50% sugar, no ice and soy latte with no ice, 0% sugar.
    S Y.

Soy latte was expensive for a small cup ($7 not including boba), but the creme brûlée was on the cheaper side. Nice swirl on the creme brûlée cup. The soy latte cream layer was a bit thick. I did like the soy bean powder. They forgot to add the boba that I paid for but luckily I noticed it, and they added it back. They had plastic and bamboo straw options, but unfortunately, the bamboo straws kept cracking.

Food stand at Piedmont Food Fest
    Annabelle R.

Tried the strawberry crepe from BB Tea's food stand, while attending the Piedmont Food Fest this past Saturday. It was delish! The thin pancake-like texture, filled with cold and creamy vanilla ice cream, topped off with fresh strawberries and sliced bananas... it was a nice little treat on a beautiful afternoon in Piedmont. The service could be a little better. There were five workers in the tent, and a large crowd of people waiting out front. The wait for my order to be ready was about 15-20 minutes... prior to that, I even stood at the order window for a bit before being acknowledged or helped. Beyond the slow service, I felt that these handheld sweet treats were a bit pricey for what you get. But the product was really good, and at least the staff was friendly, so 4 stars seems appropriate. Glad this SF tea and dessert shop could make it out to this event.

I walked about 30 minutes and arrived too early as the store did not open until noon. I walked out to Geary Blvd. and there was a lot of construction as I explored the area. I returned with only 14 minutes left before opening. The lady opening the store was raising the blinds on the windows facing the street. She unlocked the door shortly after noon and directed me to the kiosk to order. I knew I wanted the peach oolong milk tea at 75% sweet with no ice. It had been quite windy on the walk. Because of a coconut allergy in the family I had to ask if the popular mango pomelo sago had any coconut. Unfortunately, it has coconut (milk or oil?). As soon as I heard coconut, it was a no go. I wasn't familiar with pomelo and the lady told me it was like grapefruit. I still wanted to order a mango drink and went instead with the mango smoothie also 75% sweet with less ice. The customer following me asked about alternative milks which they do have. I overheard that they have oat and almond milk. Both drinks were excellent. The milk tea was not too sweet and I appreciated the peach bits in the drink. The mango smoothie was really creamy.

After a few errands south of the City, I decided to return to a restaurant on the same block where I bought and enjoyed some takeout food a few months ago. This store is on the corner of the same block. With the weather on the warmer side, I made a point to get something for my drive to the office after lunch. I tried the pineapple passion fruit green tea, 30% sweetness, regular ice (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=nM6OcRVRggpSAdnSmkkO3g); I liked the flavor of the tea in a definite pineapple forward flavored drink; there was quite a few pineapple chunks here while the passion fruit was subdued with just a few seeds in the bottom. It hit the spot as I finished a little more than half when I arrived my destination. I brought the cup home and added ice to stretch my drink into a beverage with dinner. When I walked by, there were five or six customers in the store either drinking or eating or waiting for their orders. When I walked in, there was only one person picking his drink as I studied the menu. As a left, I couple of people walked in to place their orders so, on weekday afternoons, the business seems steady but not crazily busy. The cashier was curt and efficient in taking my order and telling me when my drink was ready. I will study their menu and might try their slushy drinks when I'm in the neighborhood again.
