Former iTea employee here. Recently, iTea has really been hitting the spot. The toppings are great quality, especially the honey boba, grass jelly, and egg pudding. There is honestly nothing I would change about them. My go-to drink has been the 3G Milk Tea. When you order this drink as a regular size, it comes in the large cup because of how much toppings are included, which I love. My friends and I initially started coming here often because of the rewards system, but we continue to come back because of the quality. They also offer a wide variety of drinks. Another drink I would recommend is the Honey Brown Rice Milk Tea and the White Peach Oolong Tea which are both brewed to order. The inside is very small, basically only enough room to order and then wait outside for your drink to be called. Fairly simple, quick boba. They've got a bunch of options and it's easy to customize toppings, sweetness and ice levels. The boba itself doesn't really match up to the other boba places in the area, as it's bland and the texture of the center of the boba is often hard and dense. The drinks themselves are nothing to write home about. I'd personally recommend their signature milk tea (B1) or their honey aloe green tea. However, as I said, they're expedient and affordable, if you don't care about quality. On a warm day like today, this i-Tea location was the busiest I've ever seen it been. We waited for five minutes before ordering, and ten minutes before getting our order. The boba's space is very limited, and they use of their space to store supplies which are visible from the front. My friend got a tofuhua with boba milk tea, and i had matcha milk tea with matcha pudding and boba. This was the first time I have tried my specific drink, and both the pudding and boba were just the right texture and refreshing. My personal favorite from this boba place is the Panda Milk Tea, and I especially like their agar boba found in this milk tea. They offered to make my beverage bigger, but I didn't really want just more tea. So I asked if I could have another topping instead such as Coffee Jelly. They said it was cheaper than the panna cotta so I asked if I could have a bigger drink and the replacement topping. They said okay and that was that. A very solid boba place in Sunset. There's no room to wait or sit inside (most of the interior is taken up by boxes for stock/storage) so keep that in mind -- definitely just a place to order and leave. I got the Taro Milk Tea with boba and got 50% sugar and 50% ice. I loved the flavor and mashed taro inside instead of just flavoring. The boba texture was also pretty good and they gave a good boba-to-drink ratio. I would say the drink cup sizes are also good for the price -- larger than some other newer places, and I paid least than $7 for my regular-sized drink (though I miss the days when boba was less than $5). We went inside to place our order the place was tiny. Looks like most of the left hand side of the store was used as storage. Aesthetically, not the most pleasant looking place. Solid boba shop with a good drink variety. It's a small location, so have to order to-go. My drink came quickly and service was nice. The jasmine tea has a strong tea flavor. The strawberry fruit tea was good and fruity, although on the sweeter side. I would recommend 30% sugar max. There were strawberry chunks that added a fun texture. There are a few drinks that I love getting from i-Tea: hot ginger milktea and the mango sago. The ginger milktea with boba is perfect on a chilly day in the city since it is so soothing for the throat and not too sweet. The mango sago tastes just like the Hong Kong dessert (mango pomelo sago) except this one is a drink. They usually only make this during mango season. Most of their drinks use fresh fruits instead of powder so they taste more authentic. I recently tried their fresh taro milktea and it is decent. You get the option to choose your ice level and sweetness level which I usually prefer in a boba spot because it allows me customize my drink the way I want it. My normal order is either the tofuhua and red bean milk tea, the creme brûlée milk tea with grass jelly, or the super grapefruit. You can't go wrong with any of those three! Only downside to this place is that there is no where to sit inside to enjoy your drink. I know I can always come here for a solid drink. Been a long time fan of the M4, which comes with agar boba and basil seeds. Although I'm not much of an agar boba fan the staff allows you to sub for regular boba. I adjusted the sugar level to 50% and was pleasantly surprised that the drink still had a bit of sweetness but not too much to make the drink overly sugary. I also love to get the K4, mango sago when its mango season! You can see all the fresh fruit the store gets in the front and know that you're getting the real deal! I have always liked this store. I have been visiting since it opened. The taste has not changed. Other stores basically use machine-cranked tea, but I tea has always been hand-cranked. There is a detail that I am very satisfied with. When serving the cup, the clerk will wipe the water off the cup before giving it to the customer. This detail has never been seen in other stores.
