The neighborhood is still very sketchy unfortunately. Haven't been back in quite sometime. Inside is clean and chill environment. I was the only one there at the early dinner at 18:00 but plenty of to go orders. Vegan gyro wrap. It looked like it suffered from shrinkflation. Tasted good but was super soggy. Hard to eat. Maybe just do the rice bowl next time. Classic hummus appetizer. Finished this after gyro and helped fill me up. Pita was soft and enough for the serving. Everything is served in to go containers which likely helps cleanup. Nice they are opened late though it's likely I'll ever be there then, but nice for delivery.

Food taste and quality is amazing, definitely recommended. I will forsure come back to this place.

The place was okay. It's interesting they don't have trash can to throw away your own garbage (they do tell you it's okay to leave it on the table, but I can see how people walking in could just walk in and see fresh/leftovers on the table, had I seen that I probably would've walked out fearing sanitary and cleanliness) The hummus came with 4 pieces of bread and wasn't anywhere enough to eat it with the amount of hummus I got. I had to order additional bread. The fries honestly were very bland, and had no salt/taste to it. Thankfully I was given ketchup packets. The grilled chicken breast rice bowl was okay. Nothing too memorable about it. Thankfully it wasn't dry. For the prices on the menu I wasn't impressed. I'd come here if I wanted something easy and to go once or for work if I worked nearby but I couldn't go outa my way to come here again. The employees were nice however.

The Bite is great for what its name suggests; as a quick and yummy grab-and-go meal. The service is quick, and the prices reasonable for the city. Here's what we got: Mighty Kale Salad: delicious, with tons of variety in flavor and texture. The beets and tangerines seem like they come from a can, however, so it doesn't seem like the most farm-fresh salad (if that matters to you). Still delectable though! Falafels (4 Pieces): Yum. I liked the sauce. Chicken Gyro Wrap: good. In my opinion, the plentiful flavor, spices, and sauce saves it though, since the chicken itself is a bit dry. I'd still order it again. The Bite Fries (with paprika, garlic, feta cheese): I wish there was more cheese on them, but they were so yummy and spiced regardless, I really couldn't complain. A great accompany to the wrap.

For lunch I ordered this very unassuming bean salad but it was an absolute hit for me. Beans' Family: kidney beans, pinto beans, garbanzo, red onions, bell peppers, corn, sumac, and house dressing. For someone trying to eat healthy and have a light lunch, this is for you! I was surprised on how much flavor came through and how fresh the salad was! I think the sumac with tangy dressing really brought it all together. I like that they used compostable packaging. I def will order from them again for lunch!

Oh my word this place really hits all the marks! The service was quick and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. It's a quick stop style restaurant and it's super clean. The owners take good care of the place and great to stop if you're eating solo. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant with great service and fantastic food. If you are looking for fantastic Turkish | Mediterranean food, this should be your first choice. We will definitely be back soon and every time in San Francisco!

If I could give more stars, I would! Tasty food and huge portions. Order different dishes and share! The service was friendly and fast!! It's a little noisy, but that's street noise. The interior is quaint and quiet. It was very easy to talk to other members of my party without raising my voice or repeating words.

I always saw this place pop up on DoorDash and finally got around to trying it. The food here is amazing. The chicken marinade is on point, and the chunks of chicken are very tender. The rice and salad are also quite good and balance out the bowl. This is definitely one of the best tasting fast casual bowls I've had.

When we arrived at around 7:30 pm, there were tables available. It's a comfortable cafe-like restaurant with mural paintings on the wall. Service was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good as the ambiance and waitstaff. ***OUR PICKS*** BEEF SHAWERMA ENTREE ~ the beef was overly salted, saffron rice was ok, hummus was really thick, like peanut butter. My guy ordered this and thought it was average. 3/5 LAMB SHISH KEBAB WRAP ~ this was my dish. I ate one half of the wrap and it only held two cubes of lamb meat. The lettuce and tomatoes made the wrap bland. The meat was seasoned, but everything was plain, so it needed more seasoning. Honestly, this was missing flavor! I'll have to add something to it when I eat the rest of this wrap at home. 2.5/5 HALF ROASTED CHICKEN AND RICE ~ Our friend ordered this dish. It needed more sumac. This tasted like plain roasted chicken. Maybe it needs more seasoning while marinating. It wasn't dry, so that's a relief. Rice was ok and it wasn't dry or soggy. 3.5 We've been spoiled and have had better food in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Nothing stood out for any of us. Prices are a bit high for what you get. Sadly, probably won't be back.

I'm sure there are other Persian cafés and restaurants as good as Lavash. I hardly stop to think about what made Lavash interesting. The floral aroma throughout the entire atmosphere, the gentleness of the waiters and hostesses who're well focused on serving others, and their signature paper thin Lavash bread. A clear teapot filled with saffron tea with rock candy on a stick; seen how they dip it in after pouring the tea. Interesting orange color indeed! A plate of zucchini, grape tomatoes, Moroccan mint leaves, and a pair of Bulgarian cheese; complimentary for my first visit here. Persian noodle soup, filled with beans, chickpeas, and lentils; loved the floral notes in every spoonful. Main course, veggie kabob on a bed of basmati rice drenched in saffron and spices, along with some onions and mushrooms, and of course, a large Lavash bread at the bottom to fill the whole plate. The best part is to completely sandwich wrap after I marginalized the contents on the plate. Ahhh! Satisfying to the last bite of herbs and spices. Not filling though, but I had no need for any dessert. Another highly recommended place to eat for locals and tourists alike. I let some of my friends know how much they'll love the best Persian dishes locals raved about. Thumbs up for the people of Lavash!

Arrived on time for our 8:30pm reservation and was greeted to the beautiful ambiance inside. Is this the romantic, cozy, enchanting restaurant of my dreams? I think so! Those amber lightbulbs did their duty here to make this place feel warm and inviting. We were seated and was greeted by the wonderful Gilberto! He was literally the star and highlight of our evening. Cracked a few jokes, talked about his fave dishes, we really had a ton of fun with him. A complete gem! As I walked through my restaurant, I sat down and said " I smelled melted cheese, whatever that is, I want it" It was the Saghanaki and I needed it in my life. Melty cheesy and delicious. I met her, tasted her, and now I need more. Now, I only recently had Octopus once of twice before, but this one here was fabulous! Tender, delicious, beautiful. I absolutely adored this. The smelts were so fun to eat! I called them protein fries. Little teeny tiny fishies, so crispy and flavorful. For our entree, we snagged the porkchop special. SO. FREAKING. GOOD! It felt special too since it was....a special. It wouldn't have been a true dinner with me if i didnt finish off the meal with a dessert wine. Normally I go for a port, but we were dining in Greece this evening, so I went with the Vin Santo. Absolutely lovely and perfect for the end of our meal. Beautiful visit over at Kokkari. The ambiance was great, the food was fantastic, and the service was incredible! I can absolutely see myself here at the bar, having a fancy meal, sipping on a lovely cocktail, and enjoying myself. Maybe I'll do that very very soon.

Kokkari Estiatorio hit the mark across the board on ambiance, service and food. Ambiance: This was great for a fun girls date but would also be a wonderful date night or group gathering. The restaurant aesthetic is a little rustic and feels intimate, but it is actually quite large and was very lively early on a Saturday night. Although the restaurant is indoors, there are large windows that open to the street that make it feel more open and fresh. Service: Our waitress was very friendly and had the perfect balance of being attentive but also giving us time and space. She did a good job pacing different dishes and didn't rush us out at all. Food & drink: My friend and I ordered wine and a series of apps to share. First, there was a great selection of wines! I ordered a Chalbis, one of my favorites, and it didn't disappoint. The menu has a wide variety and it was hard to pick! We shared the saganaki (with house bread), chili garlic prawns, octopus, fried zucchini cakes, and two off-menu specials (a duck dish and an apricot arugula salad). Every dish had a unique flavor profile but they were all so good in their own respect. Some specific callouts: the bread was thick and crispy on the outside but incredibly soft on the inside, the octopus was perfectly charred but still tender, and the yogurt sauce with the fried zucchini cakes was "zesty" and refreshing. We also enjoyed the baklava and frozen yogurt for dessert. I think these were fair portion sizes for the price point. I would love to come back here!
