There isn't much better than a really incredible sandwich. I don't want some nouveau cutesy stuff, I don't need innovation, I want good bread, cheese, meat, veggies, nothing more. The Bite folks totally get that. There are a lot of overpriced sandwich spots around the city, but when you can offer me a really exceptional sandwich, I don't mind paying accordingly. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't consider the sandwiches here overpriced, but they're in the upper portion of that acceptable range. Though get the kitchen sink and you'll understand why these and boys are absolutely worth the cost. I don't know what everyone is talking about in terms of food safety... I came for lunch today and had an amazing turkey and bacon sandwich! Legit one of the best sandwiches I've ever had I would highly recommend. I could tell they were a little busy, but they still got my order done in a timely manner. We found this spot online! Great sandwich spot in Nob Hill! It was 2pm on a Saturday and there was no wait at all. It's a nice clean space. Take out only, there are no tables inside. They have a great selection of sandwiches and salads! We got the firecracker but changed from sourdough to Dutch Crunch. We also got the Kitchen Sink. You order at the counter, pay, then stand off to the side to pick up your food. I wish Dad had told me that there was a fee to use a credit card. The fee calculates to 4%, which I'd be fine to pay if I did not have cash. I had cash on me, but didn't know until I signed a credit card slip that there was this service fee. There's also a miscellaneous $0.10 fee. Maybe a bag fee? Maybe because we bought a canned drink? We grabbed the sandwiches and ate at Huntington Park, which was a few blocks away. It's been so warm and sunny lately, so I decided to walk home from work. My plan was to grab something simple near home, but the scent from this sandwich spot stopped me in my tracks. While checking out their long menu, I couldn't decide what to get, so I asked one of the staff which sandwiches were the most popular. She said the Gouda Good and the Gobbler. I went with the Gouda Good and the Gotti. Gouda Good The bread was a bit stale, and overall the sandwich was just okay. I wouldn't order this one again. Gotti Served on a sourdough roll with a nice chew. The flavor was really good, though they were a little heavy on the mayonnaise. Not a deal breaker though. Overall, I think this place has potential. The prices are great, and I'll definitely give them another try. Hopefully, I'll find my favorite soon. read more

Reviewing the Caesar wrap. If you are someone who is looking for or craving a really good Caesar wrap this isn't it. The dressing tasted like Ken's dressing (not saying it is) I do like Ken's but not in a wrap and not for the price. The dressing isn't mixed in which sometimes works but not if you are wanting a good Caesar wrap. I was really wanting to try another place but it wouldn't accept online ordering due to high demand and got in too late to get tarragon cafe. And really wanted to try and find another good Caesar wrap in the city and saw some recommendations for bite. I ordered on door dash and asked for extra dressing and they gave it to me which I really appreciate. Customer service is amazing. Since the wrap didn't come with mixed in dressing the extra dressing was very needed and would hope the restaurant gives that much on default. I recommend tarragon cafe for an amazing Caesar wrap. Overall this wrap was okay. But I wouldn't get. If I'm craving a Caesar wrap I'd hold off or go elsewhere. As for a sandwich I don't know I haven't tried them but I'm sure there really good based on reviews. read more

They can get pretty busy but it's never too long a wait despite there usually being only one worker. I've been eating at bite for 4 years I used to go with my old fling every weekend 2022 faithfully she stayed off post st. She actually showed me this place a lot of great sandwiches and memories. Today was absolute worst experience I've ever had I'm not coming back inflation is real I thought i could understand that but I used eat half my sandwich that the women with glasses would always make them. It used to be a great transaction this was the smallest and yet most expensive meal I've ever had from them they had a new guy working trying to tell me it's always been that way. We arrived at our hotel in SF on a rainy day and decided to DoorDash food. We Yelped BITE and it was available for DoorDash delivery which was a great option if you are unable to physically go. We ordered the Gooda Good and the Gobbler! It was prepared and arrived pretty quickly, less than 30 minutes which was a plus for DoorDash! Both sandwiches were nicely portioned and put together nicely. We know sandwiches can get messy but it was wrapped up and held its shape which is great. It's definitely a good place to try if you are craving a sandwich in that particular area. I went with the New York New York which was a delicious sandwich with high quality pastrami with swiss cheese and bacon. The roll that it is served on is a lot of bread, because if this I would recommend ordering extra mayo, mustard or both. Overall a great sandwich, on a return visit I would try one of the other delicious options. Open late - one of the only spots open late in this area. The sandwiches are tasty, but the quality is inconsistent. I've ordered here a dozen times at least. A few times I've received bones in the rotisserie chicken salads, a few times I've received barely a spec or meat in a sandwich. The first place that I instantly compare this place to is Ike's, since I think that both places have great, solid sandwiches with fresh ingredients. Bite is a pretty small sandwich place, so it's mainly just for pick-up and it makes them pretty quickly. It is a bit of an uphill walk to get there, but if you're around the area I think it's worth getting since the prices aren't too bad for it. While they have different pre-set sandwiches, they also have the option to let you choose what you want on the sandwich and to customize it. Definitely go for the dutch crunch bread, as the texture of that is always great. For the cheese I got brie (which I really like) and for the meat I believe I got pastrami. While the sandwiches may be simple here, the quality is great and on par with Ike's. Overall, if you want to get a great sandwich quickly to-go, I would highly recommend ordering from Bite! read more

We arrived in SF late night and we were looking for something to eat. Parking was difficult but were able to find street parking nearby. There is a wide selection of sandwiches and salads to choose from. You can even create your own sandwich. For dessert they have large chocolate chip cookies. They also provide bags of chips if you want on the side. My only issue with is the staff were rude. We were indecisive as we are from out of town but they seemed annoyed when we werent ready. When we purchased the cookie, the lady rudely said "just take it". Could be a long shift and they just wanted the day to be over. Overall, its great satisfying food to fill a deli craving. Just had the 1/2 chicken/house salad combo ($20 after tip). The lady told me it was the last 1/2 and I've had the chicken there before and it was pretty good so I went for it. I walked 30 minutes to get there because I don't have a car and like to get my steps in for the day. When I got home and tried it, the top skin of the chicken was like jerky and the rest of it was dry as cardboard. Even the let and thigh were dry. Absolutely TERRIBLE. I'm not even sure why they would sell something like that. It's like going to a restaurant and the cook burns the crap out of your food and serves and charges you for it anyway. Money is tight these days so it sucks getting ripped off. The quality of this was soooo ridiculously bad, I could only give it one star.
