Date of Visit: 6/20/2026 We visited the Milos Meze located in the Marina district in San Francisco, which is one of the rare Mediterranean spots in the area. They provide endless amounts of pita with creamy tzatziki and htipiti sauce, and some great selection of appetizers, mains, and wines. Milos Meze was established in 2024, operated by Chef Ali Yaldiz, continuously brings the great selection of Mediterranean and Greece cuisines. The restaurant located really close to Marina Green and palace of Fine Arts, which were great walking spots after early dinner or late lunch. Semeli Mantinia $16 I ordered the 2022 white wine from Greece. The bright and yellow color wine has a great floral aromas with lemon and citrus. Semeli Nemea Reserve $16 Husband got the 2018 Greece red wine produced from Greece's noblest red grape variety, Agiorgitiko. The hint of raspberry and cherry was very obvious. Garides Feta $18 For appetizer, we got the jumbo prawns sauteed With lemon, oregano and olive oil. The sauce was great for pita too. Tsipura $46 For my main course, I got the whole Mediterranean sea bream. Deboned before served, on the side there were lemon and tomato. And there was a side salad with arugula, tomatoes, and dried figs. Brizola $54 Husband got the medium rare grill aged rib-eye steak, on the side there were a slice of grilled tomato, and also a separate plate of lemon roasted potatoes and Tzatziki sauce.
The food gets four stars, but I'm knocking it down a little because service was ok. Still probably one of the better options in a neighborhood known for bad food though. Went to Milos Meze for the first dinner of a recently revived monthly-ish supper club. We were a group of 6 and had a reservation, but were seated rather late. We ordered wine and a few apps to share, and individual entrees. There were a lot of dishes, and I think the tables are not really sized well for it so sharing a bunch of little things doesn't work very well. What we got was decent though - I particularly liked the moussaka.
My bestie suggested we get dinner here after our yoga sesh at nearby Hot 8 Yoga. I was happy she suggested it since I often passed by. We ordered a bunch of plates to share. She suggested the spanakopita (the best item of the meal !), and I added the chicken souvlaki. We also ordered some Greek fries, but after seeing how much pita bread came with the meal, I wish we'd held off on the fries and opted for vegetables instead. That was my bad, as I chose the fries, but my friend offered either as an option. Oh well, good to know for next time. At the end of our meal, we decided to finish with the ice cream trio, and I especially liked the pistachio flavor. Everything was so good here, and the wait staff was really attentive, refilling our water and frequently checking on us. The food all arrived pretty quickly too. This is one of the best meals I've had in the Marina.
We went here on a Saturday dinner and made a reservation just in case, which was the right move since it was very busy with St Patrick's Day festivities around. Highly recommend walking, transiting, or rideshare as parking is extremely difficult and pricy - $11 per hour for street parking and my friend spent 45 minutes to find parking. We started with some appetizers - octopus is a must get, and the mezze dips platter is really delicious and you get a nice variety of dips to try without committing to one large one. The anchovies were okay. Chicken soup was fairly hearty and flavorful, with generous amounts of chicken We got 5 mains amongst 4 people as we were hungry - as the mains were mostly large but some were a bit smaller in portion. - Lamb chops - 3 pieces for $48 is a bit steep, but they were very delicious lamb chops. Served with potatoes and tzatziki. I would get this every day if I had unlimited money haha - Rib eye steak - really well executed - requested medium rare and got it just the way we requested - Sea bass - butterflied with a nice presentation, can get a bit boring over time - Chicken souvlaki - chicken was really tender! Not my first choice to order but I'm glad we did - Lamb shank - so tender it falls off the bone! Served with orzo to make it complete - Baklava - good but a bit dry, but the ice cream helps Service was excellent - they course by starter, main, dessert and check up on us periodically. While the prices are fairly high, it's definitely worth the splurge as you will be well taken care of
Solid dinner/date spot with comfortable Mediterranean cuisine. Ordered an array of dips and the chicken souvlaki. Flavorful and worth a try for sure. It can definitely get a bit loud/busy on weekends. It is also a part of the InKind Network
Milos Meze is absolutely phenomenal. My dinner here was truly my best meal of 2026. The service is great. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with murals of Greece and the vibe is bright. It's a super lively environment full of excitement and joy! Food wise, everything was absolutely divine. I tried every dip on their appetizer menu. They were all stand alone flavors, yet also pair so well together. The creamy shrimp appetizer was insane. I would literally drink that sauce. The zucchini fritters were so light and decadent. And the main course was the lamb chops. They were cooked to perfection and exquisite flavor. I cannot wait to go back!
Gorgeous place, delicious food, and friendly staff! Our server, George, was kind enough to answer all my questions about ingredients and showed so much care for my food accessibility needs. My partner and I both loved our meals!
Came here at 6pm on a Friday and was seated immediately. Service was great and they are very welcoming. I ordered the arnisio souvlaki (lamb tenderloin) and was very surprised by how well the meat tasted. Sprayed some lemon and dipped it in some tzatziki dip and it tasted even better! Potatoes also tasted excellent. If making a trip here, I do recommend the lamb skewers. (9/10 for the food) Only concern I had was pricing as it does get a tiny bit expensive for the plate, $32. (7/10 on the pricing)

The service was phenomenal. My water cup was constantly refilled, the food came out quickly, and they were very efficient about clearing finished plates. I loved the interior decor and color palette of the space, very Greek vibes throughout. Overall a great experience, just slightly on the pricier side. Beef Souvlaki- $34 Rating: (9/10) Really good overall. The beef was nicely charred and the tzatziki was amazing. I also loved the pickles that came with the dish, super crunchy and refreshing. My only comment is that I wish the skewered meat was cut into more even pieces. Some slices were thinner and ended up a bit drier. Greek Fries - $9 Rating: (9/10) Solid plate of fries. The feta cheese on top was super good as well.
EVERYTHING WAS SO AMAZING!!!! Definitely the best greek restaurant in the city. Must orders are: lamb appetizer, lamb chops, seabass, and the baklava. Greek fries are not something to miss either! 1000000000/10
Just had an amazing meal at Milo's! We live pretty close by but finally made the trip over and are so glad we did. The service is great and they make you feel right at home. Our server had some great recommendations for both food and wine. We got a bottle of one of the Semeli wines that was perfect for a chilly day. For food we had the dip platter and saganski both which were phenomenal. In addition we ordered the beans and a souvlaki. Everything was delicious with tons of flavor!! We finished with a baklava that was Amazing!!! Not too sweet, loaded with walnuts and the right amount of honey. Plus the outside is dog friendly which was perfect. I can't wait to go back!!
The food was all delicious. We also really enjoyed the Moussaka. It had a very refreshing side of tomatoes and pickles. We had a lot do the different dips which all had great textures and flavors. Inside of the restaurant is very pretty and staff were all friendly.
Third time here and this was honestly my favorite visit. We shared a bunch of meze, the octopus was super tender, the Asuka (kind of reminded me of muhammara) was so good, and the spanakopita disappeared way too fast. Got the Lavraki for the main and it was perfectly cooked. The arugula salad with figs and parmesan was such a nice surprise too. The service was really friendly and on point. I was already stuffed but still ordered the Baklavaki because I knew it'd be amazing with my coffee the next morning... and I was right. Can't wait to check out their new Cow Hollow spot next. read more
Had a chance to try this new Greek restaurant, taking advantage of a credit card perk. It was...fine? To be honest, I'm really not understanding all the rave reviews. The menu is priced as an "upscale" establishment, with the lamb chop signature dish a whopping $49 for three chops. These were fine, a bit overcooked (even though I ordered medium-rare) and the flavor profile was exactly how you'd expect a lamb chop to taste...nothing really elevated or unique like charcoal or special seasoning. This main course came with a side of grilled potatoes, which were a massive letdown. They were not cooked all the way though and still raw in the middle. They were also plain and not especially well seasoned. The spanakopita appetizer, on the other hand, was phenomenal and definitely the highlight of the meal. Light, flaky filo dough, perfectly crisp, warm feta and fresh spinach. This was more reasonably priced at $14. I also tried the Rizogalo dessert, which is kind of like a rice pudding. It was tasty, but not especially fresh. I think they prepare these ahead of time in batches and it tasted like it just came out of the fridge. Overall, the biggest miss here is on price. The food itself is fine, but my lunchtime meal came to $100 after tax & tip. At this price point, I expect them to nail everything, and unfortunately they didn't quite meet the bar. As a result, I'm not running back and wouldn't come here if I'm looking for a good value. read more

Food was delicious but the value is insanely bad, I'm confused at how overpriced this is (guess it's that Marina rent). $40 for 2 small chicken skewers and 5 potato wedges? Presidio kebab gives you 2-3x the food at 40% lower prices. read more

Delicious food! Super flavorful. Booked reservations via Yelp and they sat us right away. Service was superb. Very attentive staff, kept refilling our waters and gave us new utensils for our main dishes. Gave free pita bread with dip delicious. Everything was so filling and fresh! They're a newer place in the marina. You should definitely come and try it out! Spanakopita was flakey and so delicious! My favorite dish was the moussaka I really enjoy eggplant and it comes with a salad so you get a balance of foods. We wish we had more room for dessert! Blue and white Milos Meze awaits on the restaurant row in the Marina district on Steiner Street. Nice ambiance sets the tone for Greek food. We were given free pita with a yummy red spread and ordered Spicy Hitipiti, Spanskopita and Arnisio Souvlaki. I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't know what these are if I didn't read the fine print! We enjoyed the spinach pie in phyllo pastry and my daughter particularly liked the lamb skewers. Service is excellent as they change plates and wipe the table between servings. In the end, we were also offered complimentary sweets that were much appreciated. This may sound elementary but if they had a menu with photos, perhaps more people unfamiliar with Greek food would recognize what they offer? read more
Made reservations for a weekend evening last minute; the restaurant was quite busy & there was only outdoor seating left once we sat down. Their menu was compact; the food menu was a page and the drink menu was another page. My friend and I shared their Spanakopita, Arnisio Souvlaki, and Horiatiki salad. Our main entree Arnisio Souvlaki was brought out a lot later after our mezethe and salate dish, which was a bit odd but kept me hungry for more. The Spanakopita was dense and flavorful, with a classical combination of spinach, feta, and leeks. The Horiatiki salad was good but nothing special. As for our main entree, although I very much enjoyed the quality of the lamb skewers, there were only two skewers with minimal meat compared to what I was expecting for the price. The dishes show quality and I'd love to try one of their desserts in the future too, such as their Baklavaki! read more
Celebrating my 78th birthday on 7/21 at my favorite restaurant in San Francisco - Milos Meze! Thank you to the wonderful staff for a delightful and special evening. With this menu, it is easy to have a perfect dinner...we always enjoy every selection from this kitchen. ...complimentary fresh softly baked pita with acuka - the red pepper dip tantalizes the appetite oktapodi - tender octopus grilled to perfection with lemon, oregano, and olive oil oil anchovies with salad - lovely bursts of flavor arnisia plevrakia - slowly cooked lamb riblets melt on the tongue Tsipura - whole sea bream presented beautifully - crisply charred and moistly tender (I was so eager to taste this - I neglected to photograph its drama) Sautéed Vegetables from Santa Barbara Farms - fresh flavors to savor! We finished the evening with complimentary sweets that are beautifully artful and very special delights. Thank you for your generous hospitality serving a perfect birthday celebration. read more

WOW. I mean this restaurant genuinely blew me away. From the moment you enter-- the decor, paintings on the wall, and furniture all together is just stunning (makes me wanna go to Greece asap lol). The staff were so friendly and able to accommodate the bf and I on a Friday evening at 5:30 without any reservations. We got complimentary pita bread and dip (I forget the name but it's tomato based and delish) Appetizers: we ordered the Spanakopita which was an easy 10/10. This was sooo good and filling. It's a phyllo pie with spinach and feta cheese and came with a side of their house made tzatziki. I would absolutely order this again. Lavraki: sea bass. I would give it a solid 8/10. It was well seasoned, and a perfect amount of food. Arnisia paidakia: Grilled lamb chops. 10/10 we ordered it medium and it came out perfect. Juicy, tender, perfect amount of salt. Desert: I'm not sure how we had room for dessert but we ended up ordering the Baklavaki with pistachio gelato, I'd give it an overall 8/10. It also came with a side of strawberries which went so well with everything. The staff here wereso friendly and attentive. What an absolutely delightful place. So glad I was able to stop by and enjoy their food. The ambience is cute and inviting. I'm not sure if it was the time of day or just my good luck, but I made reservations for dining but didn't need them as the place was filled, but not crowded. What I Ordered: - Spanakopita: Traditional filo pies of spinach, feta, leeks, and dill. $12 This was very tasty. Had a perfect flakiness to them with delicious inside. Highly recommended. - Zucchini Fritters: Zucchini with feta cheese fresh dill and eggs ,flour mint serve with tzatziki $15 It wasn't over fried or too filling. Nice balance of ingredients. I really wanted the Arnisia Plevrakia (slowly-cooked lamb riblets, lemon, oregano, and tzatziki), but they said they were out of this meal at the moment. So instead, I had the house recommended most popular lamb, - Arnisia Paidakia: Grilled lamb chops with lemon-oregano vinaigrette and Kokkari potatoes. $42 Now this was delicious! My only critique is that I wanted more. I felt it was cooked to perfection (as Chef recommended). I enjoyed the natural juices and flavoring of the meat, however, my friend did state they wish it had a tad more seasoning to it. I however, thought it was authentic to the region. And because I was hungry when I ordered. Also had... - Greek Fries: French fries, with mild spicy garlic yogurt fondue. $9 This was the one dish I would have sent back. The fries were fried super hard and technically inedible. I appreciated the light topping of feta cheese as the rest of the dishes were so heavy with feta and yogurt sauces. Wine: Semeli Mountain Sun 2021, Greece $16 I ask if they had a house wine, to wish they replied they did not. I was recommended to try a sampling of this wine. It had an aromatic fruity scent. However, felt it was a bit dry for my liking. There was a touch of spice, noble tannins, and a long aftertaste. read more

We had an excellent dinner here last night. It was very busy for a Sunday evening & although we didn't make reservations, we were seated pretty quickly. The murals of Santorini & other Greek islands added to the restaurant's charm. Complementary pita & cheese spread is brought to the table. We started with dolmas (grape leaves stuffed with rice) which was delicious & tender & grilled oktopadi (octopus), which was also tender & flavorful with a nice char on it. I had the moussaka (Greek version of lasagna) as my entree which was delicious & saved half for dinner tonight. My dining partner had the lamb meatballs, side order of veggies & roasted potatoes for dinner. I try to save room in my stomach for dessert, but I wanted to have something small so I tried their house made pistachio gelato, which was perfection. It's not too sweet & had pistachios in it. Service is warm, friendly & helpful. The chef comes around to ask how you enjoyed your meal, which was a nice touch. read more
This is a No bs review Came here on a day trip to sf after walking around and building up an appetite. Ive been wanting to come here after seeing a post. Not more to say then this place is worth your money. The service was great we were attended consistently as it barley opened we went in at around 4:10. Ambience was nice not loud at all but again went in when service started. Now the food, menu is isn't overwhelming with a thousand options which usually helps with consistency. So basically we ordered the whole menu lol But the ribeye was great. Spanakopita also, loved the bread putting as my dessert . read more
Honestly not big on Mediterranean food however I thought it was pretty good. Not sure if it was how many dishes we ordered but it was kind of expensive for what it was. Didn't have to at fully satisfying feeling at the end of a delicious meal but still pretty good coming from someone that doesn't choose Mediterranean food. This is the first time we dined in person here. We had ordered to-go in the past. Overall, we have tried the sea bass, sea bream, chicken souvlaki and garides souvlaki. The ingredients were fresh. The chicken, shrimp and fish were all soft and juicy. The grilled eggplant spread was ok. The salad that came with dried figs was surprisingly good. Both times we wanted to try the octopus but it was out. Parking was not the easiest. The tables were a bit small and close to each other. The restaurant was nicely decorated and the service was great and friendly. Overall, a good experience. read more

Had such a great experience at Milos Meze! The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were generous, definitely perfect for sharing. We ordered the Beef Souvlaki, Spanakopita, and Kokinisto Me Manestra, and everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Our server Nodi (not sure if I spelled it right ) was amazing--super friendly and gave us great recommendations that we ended up loving. The service really made the experience even better. Highly recommend this spot, especially if you're visiting San Francisco and want really good Greek food. I'll definitely be recommending Milos Meze to friends! read more

Craving Greek food, we decided to try Milos Meze. It was a sunny, early evening and all the tables outside were already taken, so we sat inside. The Mediterranean vibes and decor transported us to Greece! Nice ambiance. OUR PICKS ~ MELITZANOSALADA ~ roasted eggplant, garlic, red bell peppers, parsley, lemon juice, olive oil. It was seasoned just right and great with the pita bread. 4/5 SOUVLAKI ~ marinated chicken or beef skewers with peppers and onions served with roasted baked potatoes and tzatziki. My bf decided to have the marinated beef. If you're hungry, this dish might not be enough for you. He asked for medium rare and got medium well. The meat was somewhat tender though it would have been better if it was medium rare. 3/5 ARNISIO SOUVLAKI ~ lamb tenderloin skewered with peppers and onions served with roasted baked potatoes and tzatziki. The same with my meat. I also asked for medium rare and it was close to well done. Still, the meat was tender enough but it would have been juicier if it was done correctly. I think this dish should have had vegetables and rice instead. It just didn't seem complete. Barely any peppers and onions. 3/5 It was our first time dining here. Maybe we ordered the wrong items. Fantastic meal at Milos Mezze. Each dish was flavorful and delicious! We ordered the acuka (red pepper & walnut dip), zucchini fritters, feta pstiti, chicken souvlaki. The zucchini fritters were a standout! Chicken souvlaki was soft, cooked to perfection. They also offered us a small complimentary dish of the spicy hitipiti which was amazing - I'll def order that next time! Unfortunately didn't try the seafood this time around, but seems that's a must here. Ambiance is nice, I love all the evil eyes hanging from the sign outside and the moody ambiance inside.
