As you know, I'm always on the hunt for a great Italian restaurant. My husband stumbled upon this place, and I was eager to give it a try. The food was straightforward and delicious. The restaurant was charming, but what truly stood out was the service. Mukas was incredibly kind and welcoming, making me feel truly appreciated and valued. I wish every server could be as wonderful as she was! Ciao Mukas sei fantastica!

Definitely an authentic Italian restaurant with great food and portions for a solid price! We ordered the truffle fries, margherita pizza, and coda alla vaccinara. Pasta was great, very flavorful and short rib was tender and juicy. Truffle fries were good, but the truffle taste is slightly on the lighter side. Margherita pizza was great, no complaints! The atmosphere is on the nicer end and love the decor and vibe of it all. Service was great! We recommend going early as it does get busy. We went on a Saturday night around 6pm and there were only a handful of tables free, def popular!

This place is wonderfully homey and intimate. It feels like you're at a friend's family house - albeit a loud and slightly chaotic house, but still good vibes. Came here on a Friday night with no reservations but we were able to be seated at the bar. The workers were warm and nice, though I think they forgot us sometimes - we had to ask multiple times for a to-go box and even to pay. The food itself was good. Standard portions, not too big but not too small. I got the carbonara, which was great. Nothing that I would change. My partner got a pappardelle dish. The sauce was quite salty, even by our standards (usually can tolerate high salt). Not sure if the sauce was erroneously salted too much, but the noodles itself in the dish were fine. Overall I think this a nice neighborhood spot for a casual meal. Would recommend!

Hidden gem with great pasta and even better service. This was our second time visiting Roma Antica. It is located on a cute restaurant and shopping street. Their cocktails are amazing. I particularly liked the passion fruit cocktail. For pasta I got the Sorrentina Alla Vodka. I never had this pasta shape before and it was unique and super fresh. I loved the cheese and chorizo on top. My partner got the Boscaiola which was amazing as well. I love that you can customize to red, white, or pink sauce (we went with the pink). We will definitely be coming back when we are in the area!

I tried the bosciola (both cream sauce and tomato sauce), and the carbonara. BOSCIOLA: obviously the flavor is different depending on which sauce you choose. The tomato sauce makes it more like a ragu. The cream sauce is really smooth and decadent (but not as cheesy tasting as a carbonara). The Italian sausage in it is AMAZING. I've never tasted Italian sausage like it--it's very similar to a Taiwanese sausage. A little sweet, and not as herbal forward. Nicely grilled with a slight crust. CARBONARA: really delicious and decadent. It's more salty than the bosciola and a lot more heavy. It's a dry cheesy sauce with salty bites of cured pork belly. SERVICE: Staff is very friendly and Italian lol. The food comes out pretty slow but I'm okay with it because they give you focaccia bread while you wait.

What a beautiful place with truly impeccable service. In authentic Italian style, my waiter made the entire experience absolutely unforgettable. But of course, I cannot leave the chef unmentioned, the meat was perfectly marinated, with such flawless texture that it created an indescribable pleasure with every bite. Thank you, Roma Antica. This is definitely a spot I'll be coming back to

This is definitely my go to spot for great Italian food in the area! It can get busy if you come in at prime time 6-7 pm on a weekend, so we always try to avoid those times if we want to get seated right away. The staff are always so great and attentive :) We usually get a margarita pizza with prosciutto, which always comes out delicious every time. The pizzas are a decent size and they are always generous with the prosciutto which is nice. We tried the lamb shank last night and my boyfriend really enjoyed it - if you're on the hungrier side please do yourself a favor and try! It comes with a nice side of potatoes and spinach. Definitely coming back!

my friends and I stopped here for dinner on friday night and luckily were seated immediately! we loved the atmosphere of the restaurant- it was warm, inviting, and beautifully decorated. I also appreciate that it isn't too loud or cramped inside like some of the other restaurants in the marina area, making it more intimate and a great spot to be able to chat with friends. we ordered cocktails which we all loved! they were creative and refreshing- I especially enjoyed my aperol spritz. the complementary focaccia was delicious as well. as for food, we ordered the special (risotto with mushrooms and italian sausage), the pappardelle with oxtail, and the lasagna. the portions were large and presentation was great! the pastas were good but nothing too extraordinary- we noticed that the red sauces leaned on the sweeter side, just to keep that in mind. the risotto had great flavor and was cooked well but I wasn't a big fan of the type of mushrooms they used, as they got kind of mushy. our waiter was very attentive and checked in with us throughout the night. the lasagna took a while to come out so he comped it and gave us a free tiramisu which was very kind of him! overall, it was still a good dinner experience and I'd like to give it another try for the pizzas and other pastas.

Our first time here and we'll definitely be back! We loved the amatriciana and carbonara! Delicious, excellent service, lovely ambiance (we sat outside). Simone our server from Rome was amazing!! So friendly and helpful. I had some dietary restrictions and he made sure that everything was good for me to eat! He made our dining experience A+!

Roma antica is a decent spot for Italian food and drinks. The outdoor seating is really nice. The bread at the start was cold and it didn't taste very fresh to me. The aperol spritz was good but not as sweet as I would've liked. The noodles we got were really good and saucy/cheesy. The portion size was perfect as well. Service was good as well

Price to performance here is great! Had the gnocchi, pizza and a pasta, with dessert! Ambiance is great and you can keep the costs down for sure. I ate the leftovers for two days which is not like me. One funny thing about this place is that it seems to be best friends with the place next door and potentially use the same kitchen? Either way, we like both for a fancy takeout or a casual dinner in the Marina.

I ordered the mushroom ravioli, which came topped with an unnecessary amount of arugula, but that wasn't the real issue. As I was eating, I found a worm in the arugula that had made its way onto my fork. I immediately pointed it out to the server, who brushed it off without any acknowledgment or apology. What followed was even more frustrating. When we later asked for boxes, the same server returned and casually asked if everything was okay, despite never addressing the worm. I gave a polite smile, but he pressed further and asked, "Are you sure?" At that point, I had to say, "Yes, except for the worm in my food." Again, no response. The whole interaction felt dismissive and, in the moment, intimidating. I couldn't help but wonder if he would have acted the same way with a different customer. At any decent restaurant, an issue like this would be handled with professionalism, either by replacing the dish or removing it from the bill. That did not happen here. I will not be returning and would urge others to think twice before dining at this pretentious Italian restaurant. The meatballs were the worst ever. Definitely not fresh made and probably frozen

Oh this place was such a good time. The food was amazing, the service and crew were so funny and extravagant, the ambiance was such a vibe. This place literally felt like being in a movie. It def gets packed and busy so plan to wait a while- we just got lucky! They sat us inside while a black and white movie was projected onto the bar wall and everyone was having such a good time lol. The pastas were so flavorful and the spicy vodka I got was the first pasta I've ever gotten where I didn't need to add red pepper flakes- deliciously spicy!!! The complimentary focaccia bread was also delicious. We had 2 plates. Could have had 8 tbh. I can't wait to be back!! P.S. the gentlemen singing happy birthday felt like I was in an opera house. That was our favorite part of the meal.

How long is the average dinner wait time on a weekend, specifically Sundays?

We had a party of 2 on the saturday right after valentine's day. We put our name on the yelp waitlist online around 6:30 pm. Got to the top of the list around 6:50, checked in with the host, and got officially seated around 7

Do they serve Jewish artichokes? We had them at several restaurants in Rome.

They did not when we were there but they often have different seasonal specials. The owners are great too so if you suggest I'm sure they will look into offering. Now I want one!

Do they have high chairs here?

Yes and they give a paper and crayons kids can play with.

    How good is this place?

Great menu, delicious food, impeccable & pleasant service, all reasonably priced. We'll definitely go again, and will again end our dinner with tiramisu! Nicely done!

The meatballs are thick which I like, but since theres a lack of sauce and the meatballs are a little more bland, the flavor gets lost. If they added a little more sauce or had sauce on the side, it would be a 10/10. For $16 and being able to sit down, I would say it's worth it! I came here last week for their truffle pasta. It was a good, but there was not a specific flavor that stood out. I would give it a 8/10. For me, I need something to pop if there aren't a lot of ingredients. However, it was still good and my girlfriend actually disagrees with me. She said she likes how it's classic, not overwhelming with flavor. We agreed how we would not get the garlic bread. Nothing special, the bread was good but definitely needed some marinara sauce on the side. Anyway, I say come over and try it out!
