Fusili pasta with vodka sauce and sausage
    Eric A.

The overall spot is ready to serve you pretty fast. When I often go in the evening it is their last hour and about half full. The service is quick and the food reasonably fast. I would say this is a good causal spot but not an intimate one, more like a weekday spot. The food is always fresh and tastes good. As I am a creature of habit I usually get the same thing which is the fusilli pasta with vodka sauce (tiny bit spicy) add on the sausage. I have a few gripes here which make it less than the 5/5 for stellar. The first thing is the entrance force to decide, let me sit down and think about it. There is all the pasta set to make it at home but why can't I order it for here? Why can't I choose a pasta and a sauce? Why don't you have things to go at this location? Why the forced gratuity ? If you want 15% from the customer why not treat it like a restaurant? I tip 20% usually but you have to read the menu and make a quick decision. You also have many different servers if you are okay within the 2 minutes your food just touch down? Why not have one sever that way they don't impede the pleasantries of being left alone.

    Dungeness crab bucatini (dinner only)

It's crab season in SF and Pasta Supply Co have their Dungeness crab bucatini available! It's dinner only and has a half a freshly picked crab. It was delicious! The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the butter green garlic sauce paired well with the crab. I devoured the whole thing! I also have been back for lunch and got their meatball parm which was tasty! The meatballs were moist and the marinara sauce was flavorful. Don't sleep on their other goods too! You can buy fresh pasta, sauces, olive oil and more. I recently bought their tinned branzino and chips! The branzino was great and the chips were too. I love the truffle chips, and the jalapeño and caper chips.

Went here for Valentines Day and they had a cute Goth Prom scene, with the staff all dressed up in full goth makeup & outfits and decorations hanging from the walls & ceilings. We came here bc DoorDash didn't have all the food options available, and we really wanted to try to the malfadine "butter + parm" pasta with beef cheek and the Dungeness crab bucatini. It might've been due to how busy they were that night, but we agreed the pastas were surprisingly flavorless and rubbery/undercooked! The Dungeness crab bucatini was a bit better, and the malfadine pasta would not be complete without the beef cheek. However, the chocolate panna cotta and the garlic Parmesan bread were completely redeeming - so good! We also got to enjoy some beer and wine underneath the heat lamps while we waited for a table. The staff were also incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive.

Pasta Supply Co is so so delicious. I've bought their bread before, but finally got to dine in for a Friday lunch and was glad it wasn't crowded! The workers are so friendly here. We got seated right away and we ordered their house salad, meatball parm sandwich, and mafaldine "butter + parm" pasta with beef cheek. Food came quick, and the salad was fresh and sizeable with a delicious lemon dressing. The meatball parm sandwich was great, with tender meatballs and toasty ciabatta! The pasta was the star though - you have to get this. Al dente pasta with the best chew, a delicious sauce, and I highly recommend adding the beef cheek if you're not vegetarian - so tender and flavorful, you can just devour it all! The inside is clean and comfortable, and the workers constantly checked in on us. Highly recommend!

OH MY 'LANTA this place serves tasty pasta. The fresh house made pasta is the star as the name suggests. We arrived no res with a group of three on Thursday at 7:30 and was able to get seated within 5 minutes. The ambiance is very casual, even fast casual- but the plates suggest otherwise. Thoughtful flavor profiles and impressive plating creates a simple, everyday luxury for every dish. They took our order outside before we were even seated which made getting our food quick. We started with the artichoke and arugula (8.1/10), and the calabrian chili delicata squash (8.5/10). I loved the squash veggie side. Then pastas started rolling in: Short Rib Rivoli (10/10) -Roasted Bone Marrow and Fresh Horseradish Casarecce + Mushroom Sugo (7/10) -Pine Nuts and Mint Fusilli + Spicy Vodka -with 4 Shrimps (9.5/10) We skipped dessert because we were so full. Will definitely come back on the weekend when we can enjoy wine and try the other pastas!

Went on a weeknight around 5 pm for dinner. We were quickly seated and the service was friendly. Everything was prepared well and flavors were really exceptional. Cute neighborhood spot, would definitely return for the crab bucatini.

Daily Special Ravioli - Stuffed with Four Cheeses with Spicy Tomato Sauce
    Cody J.

We live close by and kept hearing rave reviews about Pasta Supply Co, and finally were able to give it a try. To start off, we got the crispy parm garlic bread and the PSC greens salad. Although I'm not usually a huge garlic bread fan, we all loved how crunchy and cheesy the garlic bread was. We realized later that we should have saved it to be able to dip into the pasta sauces, but it was fabulous. The PSC greens salad was also very good. We really enjoyed the zingy lemon kick, and kept coming back to the salad throughout the meal as a contrast to the pasta. For pastas, we tried the lasagna du jour, which had broccoli rabe, the daily special ravioli (stuffed with four types of cheeses, and drenched in a spicy sauce) and the kabocha squash plumpers. All of the pastas were phenomenal. Again, I'm not usually a big lasagna fan, as it can be heavy and overcooked, but this lasagna was not heavy at all and the broccoli rabe provided a nice bitterness that cut through the rich sauce. The daily special ravioli was probably our least favorite, but was still delicious. The sauce had a nice kick, but the filling did not stand out as much as we were hoping. My favorite was the kabocha squash plumpers, which were perfectly cooked and tasted wonderful. Although the brown butter sauce was filling, it complemented the squash filling wonderfully. On top of the amazing food, the service was wonderful. We were checked on regularly, and the staff seemed to be having a great time. Although we stayed until closing as we arrived fairly late, the staff were also very accommodating and did not make us feel that we had to rush out. All in all, although I had high expectations, they were surpassed. This place is phenomenal. You need to stop here if you're in the area!

I came back for the pasta! We tried: - lasagna of the day: I believe it had pork sugo but I mainly just remember how cheesy and luscious it was, sitting in a pool of delicious sauce - fusilli in spicy tomato-vodka (I forgot to take a photo of this one because I was so happily eating!): the shape of this one was so satisfying - larger and thicker than typical fusilli with looser spirals, they still held the sauce well and were cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce itself looked unassuming but was so bright and fresh, with just a touch of spice. Would recommend adding the shrimp for another kind of fresh sweetness! (And panna cotta, again.)

Finally got a chance to stop by Pasta Supply Co and I loved seeing their display of pastas, sauces, and ready to go food. The staff explained how all of their food was made in house and there was a lot of variety between the pastas and sauces. You can order at the counter and sit in the seating area to eat, or grab to go. Items ordered: - Reginette w/ Slow-roasted Pork Sugo: The reginette pasta was so good and cooked perfectly. I liked the shape of the reginette pasta and it felt like I was getting so much pasta in each bite. The pork sugo tasted flavorful but got a little salty as I continued to eat it. - Crispy Parm Garlic Bread: Came with 4 huge pieces of garlic bread and there was a layer of cheese that was crusted over. There were a lot of spices added to the bread that I couldn't tell what it was but it still tasted amazing. Would want to try their pasta sauces to take home, especially the pesto basil as 2 different customers came in and left with just that sauce!

This was my second time coming. The first time was a much better experience. The customer service was still amazing. However, this time, the food was a bit cold, undercooked, and by the time I got it, somehow the fat solidified or it was never warmed up properly. However, their house made salad dressing was FIRE like always. I made myself a couple of salads with it at home. I, definitely, would still come back for more in the future. I love the concept of a fast paced and casual pasta place.

This is a Richmond district gem! It's so delicious and located in the heart of clement street. Home made pastas and the GARLIC BREAD was insane. The crunchy toasting was sooo good. I've tried several pastas and each time I like the next one more. The lasagna is delicious! Also got virgin peach Bellini which was excellent. Service is quick. Things come out hot and when ready. So don't expect to get all your food at once! Not an issue for us. You order at the door then sit. Cool vibe inside with lots of merch.

This place has a really good al dente pasta and the sauces were really good. The spicy chili flakes were really good, surprisingly very spicy. The music was a bit loud that our small table of three couldn't hear each other. This place makes you order your food prior to being sat at your table which is a bit odd. You have to know everything you want even all your drinks for the dinner. Not particularly bad just something new and something to consider.

    Junsheng X.

Nice cozy little shop in the Richmond for some Pasta if you want a change of pace. Food is great and quick to order! Their sauces are very nice, and they have unique drinks on the menu Price feels a little high for the volume but it was tasty!

    Is the place Dog friendly?

There some tables outside on the sidewalk where I've seen dogs. None inside though.

Can I purchase fresh lasagna noodles?

Yes they have sheets of past for lasagna

Do they really have beef cheeks? I saw it was mentioned in the reviews. But I don't see it on the menu.

We sell beef cheek sugo in our retail case and as an addition to the Mafaldine on our dinner menu. But heads up, menus change and are not the same at each location. Thanks!

Do they have dine in for lunch? Thanks in advance.

Dinner only from 5-9pm, but you can purchase ingredients and cook yourself.

When the dish landed, I was initially impressed. But after the first bite, it felt a bit like the Wizard of Oz: impressive presentation hiding something less substantial underneath. Their lasagna is a sort of deconstructionist take on the classic dish. The noodles are cooked and layered almost naked between barely any pockets of filling. There were a few tidbits of meat, maybe sauce and no cheese within the layers themselves. The noodles are then baked, cut, plated, and topped with what I'd guess was about a 6 oz ladle of their bolognese, finished with finely pre-grated parmesan. The first bite was overwhelmingly pasta-forward. It took me a moment to understand how the dish had been assembled against my expectations. Once I cut into it and spread everything out, it became clear this wasn't the kind of lasagna I think of when ordering lasagna. It didn't check the familiar boxes - a rich ragù, maybe a creamy béchamel, or the sharp, salty depth of cheeses layered throughout. The dish lacked the complexity and savory comfort I was craving and expecting. Another miss was the homemade flatbread (which I went back and paid cash for, so it wasn't included in the total). Traditional Italian flatbread is a yeast-free bread made with flour, olive oil or lard, salt, and water or milk, then rolled thin and cooked until crisp yet chewy. This version tasted like flour, lard, and water. It wasn't crisp or chewy. As soon as I started chewing, it turned into an unappetizing doughy mass in my mouth. After the first quarter-piece, I didn't eat anymore. As for everything else, I arrived around 7:15 on a Saturday night, and the inside was packed with a small line to the door. The outdoor tables weren't full, but it was summer in San Francisco, more people were jockeying for seats inside than out. But I wasn't too concerned and I got there around 7, so all that is on me. There were a few specials written on a chalkboard, and the cashier was awesome while explaining those. They were incredibly patient. I apologized for holding up the line, and in a very Italian way, they assured me it was my right to make sure I ordered exactly what I wanted. That interaction honestly stood out as one of the better parts of the experience. I grabbed a table just as one opened up, helped myself to water a few times from the station, and my food arrived in about 20 minutes which wasn't bad considering how busy they were. There's been a bit of internal conflict with this review. I usually don't like judging a restaurant based on a single dish, especially a restaurant with so many positive reviews. But I also don't spend as much time in that part of the city anymore, and there are simply too many other places I still want to try. Unfortunately, while there was some good-looking food on other tables, if a restaurant's claim of lasagna as its signature dish doesn't hold up, the first visit just didn't do enough to pull me back for a second chance.
