Cute!
Rebekah T.

Stopped into the Pasta Supply shop a couple months ago after running errands in the neighborhood. I was mesmerized by the display cases of pasta noodles, savory sauces, spreads and sides. It's a very nice place, simple interior with beautiful display cases and a few of hardworking staff in the kitchen. I decided to order the 4 cheese raviolis, the spicy olives, the burrata spread, a loaf of fresh ciabatta, the white sauce and the lamb ragu. I was really happy with the selection and went home to prepare an easy dinner for 4. My order was only to go, but the service was so friendly and helpful that I almost bought everything I craved and had to hold back. I might even go back again today!

Have come here twice for dinner, would say it's more on the non-traditional side as things all have a tinge of spice which is uncommon for Italian food. Cute interior and kind staff that are helpful about menu questions. Overall I think the sauces were a little loose and under-salted for my liking. Ciabatta was great, cheesy garlic bread was burnt the first time and chewy the second, all the pastas have a nice al dente, hot mess meatballs are solid. Otherwise might pick up pasta to cook at home, but wouldn't go out my way to come here.

Stopped here after seeing Shrek. They have lots and LOTS of different homemade pasta, sauces, butter, and other treats. I couldn't decide what to try. So I got beef short rib stuffed ravioli. Spicy red sauce, and garlic butter. I look forward to trying this for an upcoming dinner.

Pasta Supply Co is a cozy little spot in SF with limited seating but a warm, family-friendly vibe that makes it feel special. The shell pasta with tomato vodka sauce was the star - the sauce was incredibly fresh, coating each curl perfectly with just the right kick. The penne with artichoke pesto was good but personally I enjoyed the tomato sauce more; the baked pesto was a bit heavier and didn't hit the same way. Our server was super friendly and made the whole experience even better. If you love fresh handmade pasta and bold sauces, this place is absolutely worth a visit!

Went here for a weekday dinner since I was stopping nearby for something else. You have to order before being seated and they only seat complete parties. Luckily, it wasn't too busy of a night so was able to get seated right away. We ordered the mafaldine with short rib (5/5 and would order again) and fusilli with tomato vodka sauce (4/5). Both pasta dishes were really fresh. We also got a bottle of wine to share and it was a perfect dinner.

Went to have dinner. Had high expectations but didn't deliver. The "pork" lasagna had some really spicy parts and didn't find the pork. It seems it was filled with pork ragu. The ciabatta was good, warm. Tried the garlic bread and it was crazy spicy. Italian food is NOT spicy people. Then the chocolate panna cotta was ok. Needed more sugar. Didn't like it. And what of Earth was the reggaeton music??? Jeez, totally killed the vibe. I know it's Mission but put some neutral music or italian cool music. I can give you a playlist if you need. Won't comeback.

Visited at 5:30 PM on a Thursday to grab things to make dinner and there wasn't anyone ahead of us in line. The staff behind the counter had great recommendations and there was a wide variety of options to choose from. We got: malfadine, chicken and prosciutto tortelli, impossible meatballs, hot mess garlic butter, and the olive oil panna cotta (total =$64). The recommended cook times for the pasta made for veryy al dente pasta. The pasta tasted fresh, with the tortelli being my favorite and malfadine (which was recommended as a popular choice) being my second pick. The panna cotta was decent, but the grapefruit was definitely necessary as the flavor profile without it was a bit one dimensional even with the pink peppercorns. Would come back to try some different filled pastas.

Yum! I love this little neighborhood spot in the Mission - they have freshmade pasta you can take home, as well as a few tables to dine in. The staff is very friendly and has been totally fine with me ogling the to-go pastas and not buying anything in the past. But this time I did indeed dine in and really enjoyed the pastas. The spicy fusilli vodka pasta was pretty standard and good, and the mafaldine pasta with beef cheek sugo was very creamy and savory -- super rich with every bite. The pastas are pretty al dente, which is how I enjoy my pastas. Funnily enough, my favorite was the garlic bread -- insanely crispy and garlicky/cheesy, soo good. Would love to come back! My partner's also gotten their pasta to-go plenty of times and gives it two thumbs up.

Love a company that supports workers. This tip free spot serves up dinner and home made pasta to bring home in a casual environment. Staff is friendly and enjoyable to be around. Price can feel a bit steep because they treat their employees well (and it shows from their attitude). Spaghetti - slightly spicy with the sauce with tasty and al dente pasta. The meatballs were just fair, like a typical meatball but scaled up in size. I think one more meatball would've balanced great with the amount of pasta (plus I always enjoy more protein).

Didn't know Pasta Supply Company had a restaurant in addition to a large selection of fresh-made pasta to go. The service was incredibly nice and the food was delicious. So glad we finally got the chance to eat here. Food: 5/5 we got the artichoke baked penne and carbonara. Amazing flavor! They also have very spicy pepper flakes at the table. Love that water, plates and utensils are all at the table. Ambiance: restaurant is small with only 6 tables and 20 seats. For Saturday at noon, it wasn't too crowded and we got a table easily. We'll come back to try the lasagna.

Good place for a quick lunch. They're a little pricey, but the fact that they are tip-free & the good ingredients they use in their sandwiches and pastas make up for it. Good flavors, clean restaurant, friendly employees.

11/15/2025 Sat. Lunch We were supposed to get Pho but we changed our mind and ended up going to Pasta Supply. A very cute pasta shop that sells fresh and dried pasta but also has a kitchen on the side where you can get lunch. You ordered first then grab a table on your own and they will bring your order to your table. Super friendly cashier who also delivered our food to us. Basically she does everything from taking your order, deliver your food, and clean up the tables so folks, please tip. Side: Big juicy meatballs with tomato and pancetta / baguette - came with 3 meatballs and it was well made, tender, and juicy. I should have asked what was the meat blend they use. Pasta #1 Penne with pancetta - this one ok, sauce a bit on the drier side, flavor was there though. Pasta #2 Lasagna of the day with pork and one other meat blend bolognese - one of the best lasagna I've ever had. Not overly acidic that's important as many places made it with too much tomato sauce that overpowered the dish. I'd have loved to get their desserts if I didn't already have a planned dinner, next time. They also have their own olive oil brand. I asked for some to go with the bread and pasta. I really liked it and will buy their olive oil after I finish my stash at home. It will be lovely if they have fresh Parmesan for the pasta dish. Their menu is seasonal so they might not have the same thing every time. I will totally go back. Parking is a pain though. This area gets so busy around lunch time.

5 star experience without any doubt…read more It started with Eros Ramazzotti music as I walked in. I thought - the music is definitely authentic Italian. I saw a "pasta lab" sign and thought - that may or may not be authentic, never heard of that before. When my fettuccini pasta arrived I thought - it definitely looks authentic - heathy yellow pasta color. The first bite was an official confirmation that their pasta is freshly made, the sauce was amazing and the Parmesan was top-notch. This restaurant does not try to cut corners on lower quality inexpensive ingredients. This was one of the best fettuccini plates I had in SF. The only regret? I ate too quickly because I was on a rush. I wish I had more time to savor the flavors. Highly recommended and I will be running (not walking) back.

When the dish landed, I was initially impressed. But after the first bite, it felt a bit like the Wizard of Oz: impressive presentation hiding something less substantial underneath. Their lasagna is a sort of deconstructionist take on the classic dish. The noodles are cooked and layered almost naked between barely any pockets of filling. There were a few tidbits of meat, maybe sauce and no cheese within the layers themselves. The noodles are then baked, cut, plated, and topped with what I'd guess was about a 6 oz ladle of their bolognese, finished with finely pre-grated parmesan. The first bite was overwhelmingly pasta-forward. It took me a moment to understand how the dish had been assembled against my expectations. Once I cut into it and spread everything out, it became clear this wasn't the kind of lasagna I think of when ordering lasagna. It didn't check the familiar boxes - a rich ragù, maybe a creamy béchamel, or the sharp, salty depth of cheeses layered throughout. The dish lacked the complexity and savory comfort I was craving and expecting. Another miss was the homemade flatbread (which I went back and paid cash for, so it wasn't included in the total). Traditional Italian flatbread is a yeast-free bread made with flour, olive oil or lard, salt, and water or milk, then rolled thin and cooked until crisp yet chewy. This version tasted like flour, lard, and water. It wasn't crisp or chewy. As soon as I started chewing, it turned into an unappetizing doughy mass in my mouth. After the first quarter-piece, I didn't eat anymore. As for everything else, I arrived around 7:15 on a Saturday night, and the inside was packed with a small line to the door. The outdoor tables weren't full, but it was summer in San Francisco, more people were jockeying for seats inside than out. But I wasn't too concerned and I got there around 7, so all that is on me. There were a few specials written on a chalkboard, and the cashier was awesome while explaining those. They were incredibly patient. I apologized for holding up the line, and in a very Italian way, they assured me it was my right to make sure I ordered exactly what I wanted. That interaction honestly stood out as one of the better parts of the experience. I grabbed a table just as one opened up, helped myself to water a few times from the station, and my food arrived in about 20 minutes which wasn't bad considering how busy they were. There's been a bit of internal conflict with this review. I usually don't like judging a restaurant based on a single dish, especially a restaurant with so many positive reviews. But I also don't spend as much time in that part of the city anymore, and there are simply too many other places I still want to try. Unfortunately, while there was some good-looking food on other tables, if a restaurant's claim of lasagna as its signature dish doesn't hold up, the first visit just didn't do enough to pull me back for a second chance.
