Came here on a weekday night to celebrate a friend's birthday. We made a reservation in advance, but restaurant still had vacancy. The food was large portion and delicious, which is pretty rare these days for an upscale italian restaurant. Highly recommend the walnut bread with burrata for the appetizer. There's happy hour between 5-6pm. Squid ink risotto was a must. They gave us a free dessert since its our friends birthday!! I recommend sitting inside as we encounter bugs climbing on the wall outside...

Came into Beretta Valencia location with a friend for a late lunch / early dinner. We both had the day off on Sunday and decided to have a evening in the city. Upon coming into Beretta for the evening the ambiance is very nice , open , and elevated . The chairs at the dining tables are futuristic and very cool. The entrance is very welcoming with a long bar that we decided to sit at. We were greeted by the wonderful bartender Alexandro who took excellent care of us that night. He was extremely knowledgeable about the cocktail menu along with food. He was very patient with us while we asked him questions about the menu and what to order. We went with his recommendation which was the fried platter with shrimp , artichoke hearts, calamari and dill- AMAZING and the aioli it came with. Chefs kiss! Then we went with the bartenders pizza which was very good as well- only suggestion is they cut the peppers smaller because they were very spicy. Alexandro is an excellent bartender and so was his colleague Tyler. I will definitely be back!

Such a good happy hour spot in the city! HH is Mon-Fri from 5-6pm so it's a short window but definitely worth it. We got here at 5:45pm which was cutting it a little close, but we were still able to order off the HH menu. To drink, we each got a veranda spritz (I think $8 or $9?) which is ginger, basil oil, and prosecco. It was light, refreshing, and sweet! Highly recommend. To eat, we ordered the bruschetta ($10), margarita pizza ($10), and spaghetti and meatballs ($10). All of the food was amazing. The bruschetta was topped with broccoli/broccolini and burrata which was definitely different but I loved it. The pizza and spaghetti were classics. No notes. My friend and I split the bill and including tip we each paid about $31 ish which feels really reasonable for what we got! It was the perfect amount of food for 2 gals. Would come back! They dim the lights closer to 6pm and bring you a lamp to your table. Would also be a cute date spot!

First time trying this place. Didn't enjoy as much as I thought I would. The foods we got was very mid. Only thing we really enjoyed in the menu was the pizza. Parking is hard. Ambiance is giving more loud bar vibes. Wouldn't recommend if not going to drink.

Still amazing as ever. The bartender pizza literally has burrata on every single slice. Legit such good value and so filling. Also spicy which I love. The chicken Milanese Cesar was good but could have used maybe lemon? Idk I like a bit more tang but it was quite crispy and good!!!!

Came here because a friend wanted to try it and we had a reservation for 5 at 2 PM on a Sunday. It wasn't too busy, which was nice. We ordered the prosciutto pizza, fungi pizza, bartender special pizza, tricolore salad, and Caesar salad. Overall, the food was pretty good. The main downside was the service, which felt a bit lacking. Since it wasn't very busy, we expected a little more attentiveness throughout the meal. Still, the food was solid and worth trying if you're in the area.

I have been a fan of Beretta for years. Their meatballs are savory and filling. Their Italian sausage pizza topped with creamy burrata cheese made me fall in love with burrata. The cocktails are beautifully prepared, the service is so hospitable, and the ambiance is warm and inviting. Definitely drop in for a meal at Beretta. You won't regret it!

Stopped by here on a weekday to have dinner with a small group, the place was not too packed on a Monday, and we got seated quickly. The waiter was kind and asked if we wanted to start with drinks, and of course we did. I ended up with a Cognac Old Fashioned, which I always found good, and it was not bad here with Hine Cognac. We ordered the Fungi Pizza and Linguini alle Vongole, both came out surprisingly quickly and extremely hot, my mistake for jumping in so quickly on the pizza. Both were quite delicious and pretty filling; the pasta was flavorful, and was just the right amount for 3 people to share with the pizza. Overall, it was a great place to grab a bite to eat. I'll be stopping by again soon!

The service was okay and the restaurant was pretty busy. We enjoyed a few drinks and the burrata salad for the appetizer, the burrata salad was just okay . I think that it is a little bit different than the broad salad they previously had. The main course was very good, I had the linguine with clams and white wine. The tiramisu was really watery and was something we could've skipped. Overall this was a good experience.

BARTENDER'S SPECIAL pizza

Came here for dinner and the waiter recommended the arancini with crab to start, and we ordered the bartenders pizza and meatballs along with a glass of wine. The food came quick. One pizza to share is enough for two if you get another appetizer to share. We had two slices to take home. The tables are close to each other and it is loud when the restaurant is full. When we came on Saturday it was bustling.

This is definitely a cute spot for date night! There are some great dishes and good drinks, but unfortunately nothing spectacular. The not that easy drink is quite good! The matcha and coconut milk work well together. The antipastini focaccia and zucchini were great and very fresh. The cacio e pepe was okay and the bartender's pizza was just good as well. The tiramisu was creamy, but the ladyfingers had a watery taste. There are better Italian places in the city, but Beretta is a solid try.

I wanted to update my review - the restaurant remodeled the inside and seemed to have updated the menu as well. Unfortunately I am still not a fan of the food here, and our service was once again very slow. Fortunately we weren't in any sort of hurry, but it's hard to explain how slow and mediocre the service was throughout our entire dinner. For food, I found the apps to be much better than the mains. We ordered: -meatballs - my favorite dish of the night -broccolini - pretty good, cooked nicely and good flavor -crab arancini - pretty unique and overall good -lasagna ferrarese - unlike any lasagna I've had before, but the flavor wasn't my favorite -spicy sopresata pizza - mediocre pizza, probably the best of the main dishes -risotto alla zucca - so so so bad. Almost inedible. The rosemary or something completely hijacked the flavor and we all thought it tasted like cleaning spray. This restaurant is super cute and I really want to love it, but unfortunately the food and service just don't do it for me.

La Traviata is a great, family-owned restaurant that offers wonderful food and top-notch service. John and Sylvia take great care of their customers. The restaurant is absolutely charming, with pictures of opera singers and celebrities on the walls. On our most recent visit (September 2026), we invited my aunt to join us. Of the three dinners they've had there, this was my first time since I was unable to attend due to work events. There was a lot of hype edified to me around this establishment - especially the pecorino dish. I couldn't deny that I was pretty excited to try the food. When we first got there to check in for our reservation, birthday boy - who was there before us while we parked our car - initially asked for a high chair for our toddler. When we came in and asked about it, the blonde hostess told him "oh we don't have one." We didn't have time to be stunned, we just wanted to get seated. It also didn't make sense legally. Our knee jerk reaction was to say "okay i mean we can sit down with him on our lap or something." As we prepped to sit, another server with black hair came up and said "oh we actually do have a high chair, chef fixed it" my wife and I expressed "uhh okay cool." The blonde hostess jumped in and said "just so you know we can't have him at the edge or end of the table cause it'll be in the way of our servers" initially we said "okay no problem, totally understandable" however when the dark haired server came back with the high chair - they were very sweet - they said "oh would it be easier to have your kid here?" (Points at the edge) again in confusion I responded "sure?" We initially thought it wasn't okay, but if the option opened up, we'll happily take it. We finally settled in, but this is where I became completely disconnected from the restaurant. The blonde hostess came back to our table with an extremely condescending tone "we CANT have the high chair there, we told you it has to replace one of the chairs here." My wife tried to explain apologetically "the server that just came with the high chair said that it was ok-" the blonde hostess cut her off and rudely said "I said it can't be there." We didn't argue I just placed my child at the designated spot and we're now left with a sour taste. We don't know what the deal was, but we felt we were discriminated against as parents, young professionals, for absolutely no reason. I understand kids aren't easy to navigate at restaurants but on our defense our child did not make a mess, nor did he cause a ruckus. He was well behaved and was just minding his own business. Just for data, from the time that blonde hostess snapped at us about the high chair placement and communicated that area needed to be "clear" for another "party". There was no party that showed up for another hour! By then we were approaching dessert. So were we really imposing on the staff? Absolutely not. All to say, everything but that one Blonde hostess absolutely ruined our dining experience. When outside of the SF get this impression that the people are pretentious and rude, this is why. We can confirm that the food deserves a higher praise because we ordered one of each pasta dish and happily cleared the plates. They have perfected al dente. The spaghetti and pecorino delivered and I WOULD come back for it. They just gotta get rid of that blonde hostess.

I could not complain about the flavor at all. Everything was well balanced, and it was a very nostalgic dish for me. 2.5/5 Margherita Pizza was where it fell short. It was a bit too salty and felt like a glorified cheese pizza. The crust was okay, but I don't think it's authentic. 4/5 Fettuccine Pesto was flavorful. It was a bit too oily, but the pesto comes through. They put mixed veggies in for the vegetarian option, even though I suggested cherry/sun-dried tomatoes and zucchini alone would be good. It was not bad with the broccoli and carrots as well. 3.5/5 Cheese Ravioli had a nice, slightly al dente pasta. The tomato sauce felt a bit burnt to my liking, and I wondered if it was overcooked. 4.5/5 Creme Brulee was great, with the right amount of sweetness. The custard was a bit harder than usual, but that's a minor detail. It was a really fun time, and they took good care of us! This is a solid place for a group dinner in the area, especially since they can fit a big party on short notice. The bruschetta and creme brulee were the highlights. I'd come back for a last-minute group dinner and try other items like the pesto pizza and gnocchi. Glad I got to check it out!

We shared the Summer Salad as well, which had really great bright tomatoes. For entrees, I had the Rabbit Saddle in Porchetta, and we split a Margherita DOP pizza. My Rabbit Saddle came with a side of their butter beans, which were tender and plentiful. I had never had rabbit (which was well-cooked), and the sweetness of the peppers really brought it together. The pizza had a great crust and the tomato sauce was very fresh. For dessert, we shared the Cocoa Nib Pavlova, which was my favorite of the night. The wood grilled corn had a nice char to it and we enjoyed the accompanying sauce and cheese on top; however, based on the menu description I was expecting a little more of a Calabrian chili flavor / kick. I enjoyed the curly pasta texture and loved the lightness of the sauce paired with the salt flavor and complexity of the salmon roe on top. We love a good dessert but nothing caught our eye on the menu this time, as we don't prefer the soft, creamy desserts like panna cotta (as opposed to something more tangible like a cannoli). Lastly, we also had the following glasses of wine: Verdecchio, Verdeca, Montepulciano, and the Carignan Blend. As someone that loves crisp white wines with high acidity and minerality, I loved the Verdecchio. The Verdeca was refreshing but too light and not fruit forward enough for my preference. We both liked the Carignan, as we like deeper berry flavors, and the Montepulciano was OK (didn't love but didn't dislike). Would definitely love to come back and try some of the other wine varieties and menu options!

I bought out Arcana for a night and it was a hit! The plants and decor are lush. It feels like…read moreyou've left San Francisco and entered a jungle. I love the wood tables and the steps that lead you to a private room upstairs. The space is amazing and attendees loved it. They have a photo booth too. Staff are wonderful! Thank you, Naz and Ife! Amazing bartenders. They were so friendly, attentive, and personable. Many attendees said they came to the event particularly because they love Arcana. It's conveniently located near BART and multiple bus lines and some Lyft bike docks. I cannot recommend Arcana enough! It's great for date night, girls' night, corporate meetups, and more. It's welcoming and inclusive and the food and drinks are delicious and strong. Will be back!

Charging the $10 event fee on discretion before the posted event start time seems... shady? illegal? My two friends got in a few minutes before with no cover. I was dealing with a bike lock while they went in. We were not there for the event but rather as volunteers from the weekly cleanup refuse crew in the Mission. You get perks as a thank-you for doing your part in making the City a cleaner place. We had just had a lovely time at another participating business (Beehive) and planned on Arcana being our final stop. Thankfully I was able to use the restroom without a fee, with my gear held up outside by the security team. While waiting in the restroom line, I told a staff member about all this, and the worker seemingly went up to the front to find out what's going on. The line took a few minutes, my friends also bumped into me, and I told them I'd likely wait for them outside the business post-restroom while they finished their wine. Already reported to the Mayor's Office. Maybe I'll add BBB. Should be honest and equitable! Four out of 200+ reviews by me have been one star, so I rarely share negativity. It's all rather unfortunate as other visits here went off without an issue. I warned a group of four about all this while I waited out front, and after talking to the front door folks, they left and thanked me for the advice. Please be careful if you visit here. . . .

Anyways, we also saw this place has been in the Michelin Guide before, so we decided to check it out! We ordered the Butterfly Pea Lychee Mocktail, Dang Soda, Wholesome Noodle, Sweet Roti, Party Wings, Butterfly Pea Jasmine Rice, Chicken Thigh Skewers, Pad Thai Old Skool w/ Shrimp, and the Gang Rawang Beef. Everything I tried here was very flavorful and seemed to have bold flavors compared which I wasn't expecting since it was a bit too spicy for me, but it still tasted good. My favorite dish was the Pad Thai Old Skool with Shrimp and also the Roti with Yellow Curry Dip. I also loved how the Pad Thai had chewy noodles while the roti reminded me of a popular and comforting cinnamon type of pastry because of the sweet flavor from the roti. I'd recommend this place because some items like pad Thai wasn't too spicy for me. Everything here is very flavorful, so it can be too spicy if you have a low spice tolerance like me, but it was still good.
