Cute lunch or dinner spot in the Marina! We sampled the spritz flight, olive focaccia, and the burrata pasta. Service was quick. Only knock was the Hugo spritz recipe is more like a limoncello spritz which was unexpected. But overall, I recommend sitting at the window bar and the food and portions were great!

This is a cute restaurant and the food was great. I came in a Saturday around noon and it wasn't busy too busy. We started off with the focaccia, which was good, but not worth the price. We then got the porky pepperoni pizza - sooo good and the sausage was really the highlight for me. The prices were reasonable and the service was great. Really no complaints and I'd definitely come back!

Norcina is a fun, hole in the wall and neighborhood oriented place. They have a great atmosphere (eat inside if you want cozy and intimate and outside if you want a taste of the marina neighborhood, and pets from the Norcina mascot, Frank the Lab!) Their gluten free pizza has got to be some of the best I've ever had- it was so good, I had trouble believing it was gluten free. If you are gf you know how hard that can be to come by. I had a very unique pistachio pizza which was so unique but very tasty. Service was awesome too- the owner stopped by and was caring and attentive. I will definitely be back and would recommend to all!

Hidden Gem! Came here when the Joes line was too long. I had an amazing time. The waitstaff really took care of us and made sure we ordered the right things and had a great time. Not pictured, pizza we ordered. Pictured half eaten food because it was so good I forgot to take a photo. The kale pasta was INCREDIBLE. Beautiful flavors tangy sauce and GREAT portion. Value for money is extremely important to me.

Was out in SF looking for new foods to try. I would definitely go back if I return back to area. The Funky Fughi pizza was good, even better complimented by their ranch. I also tried the rigatoni alla norcina & would definitely get it again! The sausage was my favorite part. I would definitely recommend!

Came here on a very nice day and got seated at a table that wasn't leveled. It was kinda uncomfortable so just wanted to eat my pizza and leave. I got the norstringya without meat. The pizza was good and totally recommend it. Really wished there was more garlic on the pizza.

came here on a late tuesday evening and didn't need a reservation for two people. the food was great. i really enjoyed the rigatoni dish and the honeynut squash one. the service was great. prices were fair for the area and food. i really like the aesthetic of this restaurant, kind of coastal and modern. would definitely come here again

A friend recommended this place and she's Italian, so I knew it had to be good! I was super impressed with the cacio e pepe pasta and the pizza. The mushroom pesto pizza was honestly some of the best I've had in SF. I always love cacio e pepe, and this place does it right! I didn't love the vibe inside, so I'd probably sit outside next time -- but we loved our waiter!

Cute Italian spot in Marina! It was packed on a Thursday night. We were able to walk in around 7:45 but only for outdoor seating. It wasn't heated, but we sat near the open window so some of the heat from inside came outside so it wasn't too cold. I loved the prosciutto pizza, which has figs, balsamic, lots of cheese, & prosciutto. It was the perfect sweet and savory combo. The corn caramelle was also good but very expensive for the portion -- also since it's a filled pasta, it was a little heavy after a few bites so it's a good dish to share! Service was great but not the fastest. Took a while to get the check/find someone to ask for a box.

Yum! Delicious pasta, attentive and friendly staff, and a classy yet welcoming atmosphere. My pasta was a generous portion with fresh, tasty flavor. Frank the dog was a great host!

Incredible dining experience! Sat at the bar and was able to see the pizzas made fresh. The small bites, pasta, and pizza were all delicious. I'd especially recommend the duck liver pate!

Excellent! Looked on yelp for a new place we had not been to in Cow Hollow area...made our way to this fantastic place! Incredible service and such a charming vibe! We were greeted warmly and immediately felt at home. Asked for a certain table and was accommodated. The absolute highlight? The sweet Labrador that belongs to the restaurant -- such a fun, friendly touch that added to the great vibe atmosphere. Sat outside on street patio which was great ~ Checked out the indoors which is decorated perfectly. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, gave great recommendations ~ and the food was just as impressive -- fresh, flavorful, and arrived timely and hot! You can tell they take pride in both their menu and their hospitality. Can't wait to go back...to see the dog! Just kidding! Wine and beer only.

Yes, walk-ins are welcome! We do encourage reservations as the restaurant is on the smaller side. If you ever are looking for a space last minute, feel free to give us a call!

How can i reserve outdoor seating, resy only offers inside?

After you reserve a spot on Resy, you can note you would like outdoor seating in the "special requests".

Hi, how can I book a reservation for an outdoor table? Resy only specifies "window bar" or "dining". There's no note section to request an outdoor table. I emailed the business last week and have received no response. Thanks in advance!

They now have an option for outside table booking on Resy! They typically have outside, inside, and street-facing window seating available depending on party size.

As soon as you walk in, you can see someone making fresh pasta, which is always a great sign. You order upfront and the cashier/waiter will bring your food to you after they give you a number. There was plenty of seats available and we came in around 6pm. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients in their food. They offer a great variety of fresh pasta, and you can customize your dish with different sauces. They also have specialties like meat and veggie lasagna, along with fresh salads topped with generous amounts of cheese. We ordered the burrata salad, the meat lasagna, and the tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce, and everything was delicious. My partner loved the perfectly al dente noodles, and I really enjoyed the unique, creamy sauce on the lasagna. The burrata salad paired nicely with everything, though I do wish it had a little more balsamic dressing. Overall, it's a great spot if you're looking for fresh, homemade Italian dishes. Definitely worth checking out!

5 star experience without any doubt…read more It started with Eros Ramazzotti music as I walked in. I thought - the music is definitely authentic Italian. I saw a "pasta lab" sign and thought - that may or may not be authentic, never heard of that before. When my fettuccini pasta arrived I thought - it definitely looks authentic - heathy yellow pasta color. The first bite was an official confirmation that their pasta is freshly made, the sauce was amazing and the Parmesan was top-notch. This restaurant does not try to cut corners on lower quality inexpensive ingredients. This was one of the best fettuccini plates I had in SF. The only regret? I ate too quickly because I was on a rush. I wish I had more time to savor the flavors. Highly recommended and I will be running (not walking) back.

$25 lasagna. Having never been there before, I went with the signature house dish. Thinking I was…read moregoing all-in is also part of why I'll probably shy away from returning. When the dish landed, I was initially impressed. But after the first bite, it felt a bit like the Wizard of Oz: impressive presentation hiding something less substantial underneath. Their lasagna is a sort of deconstructionist take on the classic dish. The noodles are cooked and layered almost naked between barely any pockets of filling. There were a few tidbits of meat, maybe sauce and no cheese within the layers themselves. The noodles are then baked, cut, plated, and topped with what I'd guess was about a 6 oz ladle of their bolognese, finished with finely pre-grated parmesan. The first bite was overwhelmingly pasta-forward. It took me a moment to understand how the dish had been assembled against my expectations. Once I cut into it and spread everything out, it became clear this wasn't the kind of lasagna I think of when ordering lasagna. It didn't check the familiar boxes - a rich ragù, maybe a creamy béchamel, or the sharp, salty depth of cheeses layered throughout. The dish lacked the complexity and savory comfort I was craving and expecting. Another miss was the homemade flatbread (which I went back and paid cash for, so it wasn't included in the total). Traditional Italian flatbread is a yeast-free bread made with flour, olive oil or lard, salt, and water or milk, then rolled thin and cooked until crisp yet chewy. This version tasted like flour, lard, and water. It wasn't crisp or chewy. As soon as I started chewing, it turned into an unappetizing doughy mass in my mouth. After the first quarter-piece, I didn't eat anymore. As for everything else, I arrived around 7:15 on a Saturday night, and the inside was packed with a small line to the door. The outdoor tables weren't full, but it was summer in San Francisco, more people were jockeying for seats inside than out. But I wasn't too concerned and I got there around 7, so all that is on me. There were a few specials written on a chalkboard, and the cashier was awesome while explaining those. They were incredibly patient. I apologized for holding up the line, and in a very Italian way, they assured me it was my right to make sure I ordered exactly what I wanted. That interaction honestly stood out as one of the better parts of the experience. I grabbed a table just as one opened up, helped myself to water a few times from the station, and my food arrived in about 20 minutes which wasn't bad considering how busy they were. There's been a bit of internal conflict with this review. I usually don't like judging a restaurant based on a single dish, especially a restaurant with so many positive reviews. But I also don't spend as much time in that part of the city anymore, and there are simply too many other places I still want to try. Unfortunately, while there was some good-looking food on other tables, if a restaurant's claim of lasagna as its signature dish doesn't hold up, the first visit just didn't do enough to pull me back for a second chance.
