    Steelhead al pastor
    Ria T.

Ambiance is incredible here! Vibes were great and I talked to the owner for a while about her and her husbands story. Food was definitely Indian inspired which I loved, the steelhead Al pastor reminded me of tandoori salmon. Happy hour also looks killer! Will be back for that. The staff was super kind and friendly definitely a good date night and good use of the resy credit

Great restaurant! The cocktails were delicious (the Moscow Mule was fantastic and the alpaca drink was so unique) and the food was good (shoutout to the shrimp taco starter). The servers (one of whom was an owner) were very friendly and helped us celebrate a birthday complete with a scoop of gelato and a birthday candle. This would make for a good dinner date spot, very indigo (get it?) and moody.

I really liked the atmosphere here. Dimly lit, good girls night/ date night/ elevated dinner energy. The wait time was a bit much with us supposed to be seated 50 mins earlier (on top of waiting 20 mins). With that being said, I really liked the fries. Perfect crisp and thinness ratio for me but the wings were just average. Drinks were fun and would come back for their happy hour deals!

Enjoyed a delicious dinner at Indigo this week. My party ordered the smash burger, marina mix, mint old fashioned and margarita and they were all delicious! The food was very flavorful and seasoned perfectly. Juicy burger and thin, crispy fries. The marina mix is a yummy beer battered salmon, shrimp and scallop combo. Also cooked and seasoned perfectly. Excellent service by Izzy! Ambiance is nice and cozy. Enjoyed meeting the owners Suzy and Kash. And learned that they opened the restaurant 10 months ago. Really hospitable and welcoming spot and I look forward to returning soon and trying the specialty cocktail, Rakshashi's Lure!

A husband and wife team took over Boho in the Marina about 10 months ago. The owner she is running the restaurant as our host and waitress and her husband is the chef. He definitely made a mean burger, she said his pride and joy and it sure showed in each juicy delicious bites. They have brunch menu for Sat and Sun. Extensive cocktails menu for sure. The egg white omelet with mushrooms was also delightful. Very cute and cozy restaurant, can not beat the service and food so it's a win win to eat and chill.

I was excited to try this place but not too sure if I'd come back. There was a wait time even though we had a reservation on a Saturday. The ambiance is really nice inside and at the bar. The menu is quite small and there's not many vegetarian options. All the food is also very pricey. I got what the servers recommended. The cuisine is all over the place and all the options seem kinda random. I was expecting to try the gobi Manchurian as seen on the online menu but it wasn't available. I got the salad item to start and it was okay. It had cottage cheese, squash, apple slices etc. I also got the cheese board, fries, spiced rice, and creamy spinach. The consistency of the spinach was too watery in my opinion. The cheese board had various cheeses and it came with naan as the bread which didn't go well with the cheeses and honey. Both drinks I tried were not very good either and had odd flavors. The smoking s'mores dessert was cool but I didn't love the mousse part of it. The service was okay but a bit disorganized.

Came in black friday, and was greeted by a calm space with cheery staff. We were given a table, and the host immediately changed their thoughts and gave us an even more illuminated table which we appreciated. We weren't even giving a stink or anything the host was just so kind and moved us. We felt like royalty dining in their home. Suzy kindly greeted us and took our order; they did have happy hour deals going on but she didn't push the drinks on us which again, we appreciated. We did the wings and a side of fries. I kid you not, these were the best fries you can find in the Marina. Perfectly crispy and thin. I will absolutely be back for wing Wednesday for dollar wings (my boyfriend is obsessed with the wings here.) Also seeing a review that the trout al pastor is a must so I will try next time I'm in.

We had a fantastic meal and our server was excellent. There were a few hiccups that really detracted from our experience. We had a reservation, but were seated 10 minutes late at a makeshift table you expect when they're overbooked. Our server was amazing. She was insightful, humorous, and very attentive. Dinner itself was delicious, and we were very impressed with the food. After we closed our bill, the owner stopped by our table and we had a nice chat about our experience and the restaurant. During our exchange, he noted the drinks we were having. Five minutes later, he returned and told us that our drinks were not on our bill (which we had already paid), and we were asked to wait so they could bring us a second bill for the drinks. So, after we closed our tab and were ready to leave, we waited another 15 minutes for a second bill with the items that the restaurant missed. The drinks in question were ordered at the bar while waiting for our table, but we were seated before they were ready, and the drinks were brought to our table. At this price point, a faster ring-up or comping the missed item would've made it feel handled. The food was great, but the clunky and awkward moments when arriving and leaving are unfortunately the standouts from our dining experience.

We walked in for dinner on a Saturday and it was packed. Our wait for a table of 2 was only a few minutes. Make reservations if possible! Parking around the area sucks so park in a lot if possible. The food was delicious and the cocktails sounded unique too. We didn't try any since we came from a bar prior, but they looked amazing when I seen other patrons order them. The steak, fish, and fries were all good! Just not a big fan of the tortilla the fish was on, but the toppings were good. The owner was so kind. He made sure to check up on all the guest and tell us about the story behind the restaurant.

We booked a table at indigo for the NYE celebration. The service was amazing - our super active and messy toddler was treated so warm and with understanding! Appeared that it's a relatively new family business and the owners put all their heart in making this place a local gem. The food was not bad, especially the burger. But the polenta was too liquid and the portion was small. We really liked the NY decorations and overall ambience of the place. We might come again to try other menu options.

Stopped here for HH recently on a thursday afternoon. We started with 2 margaritas and shared some wings and fries. It was pretty quiet at first but it got progressively busier and louder as it got later and closer to dinner time. HH prices are really good! The margs were good, appreciated that they were not sweet and tasted like they use real lime juice. Refreshing and a nice start Tequila lime wings were a little bland but they brought 2 delicious home made sauces that saved them. 1 was a mango habanero and the other was a berry habanero. Both were delicious and had a nice kick to add to the wings. Their fries were awesome. Great texture, flavor and were served hot. The owner came by and introduced himself and made sure we enjoyed everything. He also mentioned that everything is homemade and made to order with fresh ingredients which definitely came across in the food and drinks. To finish I had their espresso martini which is made with a Bob's donut soaked rum. Really tasty, fun and a unique take on it! Will definitely be back for HH and to try more items. A nice addition to the neighborhood.

    Polenta and mushrooms

Really cool new spot in the marina for food and drinks! Ordered the strachiatella for starter and the polenta and mushrooms as the main. Strachiatella is the filling of burrata, and so it's creamy and gooey texture tasted great with the olive oil and fig balsamic. I liked the polenta and mushrooms as well, in particular the chanterelles. Even if you don't have food, the drinks here are a standout. One of the coolest drinks on their menu is their version of an espresso martini - they soak donuts from Bob's donuts in their rum so it absorbs some of the chocolatey donut flavor and it really comes through in the drink which is a nice twist on the usual espresso martini. The night of the Yokai is a nice fruity drink with a fun presentation. The popping boba added a nice texture to the drink and went great with the overall fruity flavor without being excessively sweet.

My friends and I came here for a TGIF dinner and had a very mixed dining experience. We shared the ocean's bounty, chicken wings, arugula and pear salad, Kashmiri chicken skewers, steelhead trout al pastor, chocolate cheesecake and the gelato. The ocean's bounty was oysters with too much stuff (hamachi, ahi tuna, spicy tuna, uni sauce and spring onion) on top. It's really hard to taste all of the flavors and it ended up being a relatively incoherent taste. The chicken wings and Kashmiri chicken skewers were bland and definitely needed more seasoning. The arugula and pear salad was good and the steelhead trout al pastor was excellent. Both desserts (cheesecake and gelato) were also really good. Service was OK at first but got slow as the evening went on. The restaurant is really loud and it's hard to keep a conversation going. The price is good - this was around $65 per person.

Chefs version of well done. Comes out rare.

Is this a restaurant for kids (under 10)?

I had my kids with me. There's not a kids menu, she had a burger & fries. Ask if the chef can make a smaller portion.

Did a lot of people like your popular food?

Oh absolutely--so many people liked it. One guy tried to steal the recipe and accidentally proposed to the SMASH BURGER.

Drinks had almost a "watered down" flavor to them, not sure if the bartender was just having an off night or if they got too busy to maintain standards or what happened, but it wasn't a good beverage and certainly not worth the price. Even at 7pm it was packed and could definitely tell people had been there for awhile as there were multiple 20 something year old guys and gals stumbling around, so I guess they found the drinks to their liking (or more likely had so many they really couldn't ascertain the difference). Better drinks and better crowd control and Darling will be just fine. But as I mentioned, they were already packed stem to stern at 7pm so my guess is they're doing just fine already.

The person who states "This is most likely the best restaurant in the world" has to be beyond sheltered; It's not even the best restaurant in the _neighborhood_. The main thing you must understand: the food is "inspired" by Indian food, but it does _not_ taste like Indian food. I suspect its been intentionally watered down to be palatable to milquetoast palettes. We ordered three small plates and the butter chicken as the main. Chicken Tikka Taco. This was greasy to the touch, with chicken and cheese. The dominate flavor is the cheddar cheese. They were trying to be creative but the ultimate effect was similar to a frozen burrito with cheddar cheese and chile verde. If you eat this, close your eyes and imagine a microwaved, frozen burrito..you'll see what I mean. Tandoori Avocado. This features an avocado that's been warmed and covered in a chili sauce. There's a green hummus and a fried dosa crisp. While it sounds wild, once the flavors are mixed together on the plate...the overall effect is that of a green-goddess salad. It's not bad, but its not mind bending. Octopus Xec Xec. The octopous was was cooked nicely and there was a tomato based sauce. Unlike something you'd find in India, it is _not_ heavy on the spices, or tang, or nuttiness. It's just very _neutral_. Butter Chicken. This was the biggest disappointment. I've never had a butter chicken curry that tasted so close to tomato soup in my life. I've eaten tons of butter chicken in my life, hundreds of Indian restaurants. I cannot imagine this was not an intentional choice...It was extremely disappointing. Also, the choice to use chicken breast was poor. Inevitably you get overcooked, chewy chicken pieces. They must have chosen this because (like Disneyland) sometimes you water things down to make it more popular with less adventurous people. The customers next to us (not Indian) kept slathering it on their rice and saying "I can't believe I didn't use to like Indian food!" -- that told me all I needed to know. BTW the naan is insanely bad. They stretched it very thin and then crisped it to the point that it breaks like a cracker. In what world is naan not pillowy and soft? Personally, I was really disappointed with this experience -- the other reviews on yelp are absolute insanity IMO. I know there's a hype train right now -- but someday people will realize this place is not it.
