The bread is incredibly soft and the caramel sauce goes perfectly with the ice cream. The cocktail program is unique, with drinks centered around sherry, vermouth, and wine rather than the usual spirits. Even if those aren't normally your go-to, trust the bartenders. They know their stuff and are always happy to recommend something you'll enjoy. The food changes with the seasons, featuring locally grown California produce. The bartenders are also welcoming, and make everyone feel like a regular. It's the kind of place where you can settle in, strike up a conversation, or simply enjoy your meal and drink at your own pace. As a fun bonus, they also organize trips to Spain. I joined one of them, and it was an incredible experience. It was thoughtfully planned, full of amazing food and wine, and gave me a deeper appreciation for the culture that inspires everything they do at the bar. Great drinks, excellent food, wonderful people, and a place that's worth going out of your way for.
