    Quiche Lorraine

I came here for brunch over the weekend and it was buzzing. The space is cozy with big windows that let in tons of light, and I loved the bar setup. The food was good. They have a madeleine basket with a few sauces and I was obsessed. The madeleines had a bright lemon zest flavor that made them extra special. I ordered the quiche Lorraine, which was delicious, while the salad was just okay. Definitely coming back to try more dishes. Our server was polite and attentive, and overall it was a fun experience.

Great spot for mingling at the bar. Went on a Friday and there was a DJ playing. The bartender was attentive. We got a few cocktails and the Oeufs Mayonnaise and the croquettes. Everything was delicious!

Cosy vibes, good food, and great service. Perfect spot for a nice date :) Went here for Valentine's day so everything we ordered was part of their specials for the day. We ordered a beef special and a scallop special. Both were cooked perfectly and paired with great sauces. I enjoyed the sauce for the scallops more, but the tender beef was the star of the show for me.

AMAZING SERVICE. I went here for my birthday and it was such a treat. Small cute place near the pier and the menu is limited but all great choices. Our server was so attentive, when I cheers my drink and it spilled a bit on my plate- as soon as I went to wipe it up with my napkin he came to the table to clean it. The steak was so soft and juicy, very easy to cut. The bread and butter was fresh and the butter spread was honestly, the best butter I've ever had. The duck was crispy and the meat was tender. To finish our meal, the server gave me a soft serve vanilla and olive oil and it was perfect! He even put a candle in it. I would love to come here again and try the other plates! 10/10 service. 10/10 meal.

I came with a few friends to celebrate a birthday during brunch. Their brunch menu was small but I felt like it still had a variety of options. They also had about 4 additional entrees that were on special for the day. The inside of the restaurant is very small but the bar is gorgeous and center stage. The restaurant has floor to ceiling windows that gives a bunch of beautiful natural light. The day we went they also had a dj which made it fun! We all shared a few starters, the Caesar salad, smoked salmon toast & truffle fries. The smoked salmon toast was delicious, I could have just ordered this for my entree & would have been happy. The Caesar salad was good, although I didn't see any anchovies in it. & you can never go wrong with truffle fries. For my entree I had the burger, which I loved. The patty was juicy & all the toppings were perfect additions. The service was a little slow but our server was kind. It felt like a lot of the wait staff were new. Overall food was good & the ambiance was nice, I think I would come by for a cocktail at the gorgeous bar.

10:10 the steak is cooked to perfection. The sauce is amazing Cat the bartender is 10:10 with her martini . This place reminds me of Paris each time I go in.

Bon Delire delivered an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The ambiance was intimate and charming, with classic bistro touches and soft lighting. The dishes were rich in flavor--perfectly seared steak frites, delicate escargots, and the indulgent sauces that tasted authentically French. The poulet was outstanding. The chicken was perfectly seared on the outside and juicy inside, and the sauce had that signature French depth--creamy, aromatic, and balanced with just the right amount of white wine and herbs. Every bite felt comforting and refined. Our server was knowledgeable, welcoming and perfectly timed with everything. It's rare to experience service this smooth and genuine. A wonderful place for a romantic dinner or special occasion. Located on Embarcadero street. Parking lots or street parking with some walking.

As a vegetarian, there's not a lot I could order but yes, the beet salad was actually fresh & tasty, a go to choice here. Their service was excellent. Was easy for a group of 8 to have a few laughs with some good lunch served fast.

Oh Hell Yes.... Everyone should go here and sit at the bar and Fuq with Irvin. When I go back, imma have to holla at Irvan from the booth. LMFAO. I made reservations and when we arrived, my friend and I were seated at the bar. In my mind, I was like damn I made reservations to sit at the bar on a stool with no back support. Annoying. When I asked if we could be moved to a table the hostess was like they are reserved. I am looking at her telling myself don't go in on her, she is too young and clueless. Why? Because I had a reservation too. Of course, I had to keep asking to get clarification because it was obvious that she wasn't going to give one. She kept saying shit that didn't making sense to me, as a reservations holder....maybe you, not me... So please note: the SOLE reason for the rating of this restaurant is the service that was provided by Irvan. He welcomed us to the bar with a couple of glasses of champagne. I mean he provided amazing service, he was social and engaging, he knew the restaurants best plates, as well as what to recommend at the right time.. My girl and I decided to roll with what Irvan was giving at the bar. However, I kept looking around at the seating situation. The hostess saw that I was watching and eventually came over to offer a low top table outside. Thank you but no thank you..... I don't eat outside with dogs, flies, and strays. She tried? Did she?......the verdict is still out on that one. The moral of the story within this review is that you will need the table's DNA to request an indoor table besides sitting at the bar, If it's your first time like it was for me, you're fuqed. Back to the food, absolutely delicious! Everything was so French, buttery, and riche. A chefs kiss for sure to the food and drinks. I also have an honorable mention, Irvan presented us with the menu for SF Restaurant Week a week before SF Restaurant Week. Talk about making us feel like we were a part of the "IN CROWD". Need I say more ? He had me at the free glass of champagne and backed it up with a clutch made Bloody Mary. Mic drop. Bon Appetite!

Stopped by around 1pm on a Saturday. It looks like the seats/booths are held for reservations. It's definitely a smaller restaurant as most tables seem to seat 3 people max and there is one large table at the back (maybe 5-6 people max). Without reservations, you can either sit at the bar or the outside (which seemed to have heaters). They are playing music inside so it's a nice vibe! Service was good as well, although our dessert did take awhile to come out, but it was totally worth it. Caesar salad - simple and clean. I love how the Parmesan and croutons are shaved over - it makes it easy to spread out over the romaine. The sauce is not overly creamy or heavy as well. Steak frites with truffle fries - very tender steak (requested medium rare). Better than most steak frites that I've had in Paris. Sauce was creamy and peppery but not overly rich or thick. Truffle fries were very crispy and the truffle aioli had a darker truffle taste to it. Pain Perdu - amazing dessert! Caramelized top without being bitter or burnt. Soft inside. The crème on the side is airy and light but pairs well with the sweetness of the soft serve. I wish there was a bigger piece of toast as we finished this quickly.

Bon Délire feels like stepping into a warm, bustling bistro in Paris. The space is beautiful, with high ceilings, soft lighting, and a stylish bar that makes you want to linger just a little longer. We started with the escargots de Bourgogne, rich and buttery with the perfect hit of garlic and herbs, the flavors were there, very earthy but the texture were a bit off. A bit too soft and loss the chewy texture that I was looking for. The beef tartare was another standout: fresh, silky, smoky and beautifully seasoned, topped with an egg yolk that tied it all together. The house-made chips were a lovely, crisp pairing. The hanger steak frites was simple perfection. Tender, flavorful steak cooked just right, sauce was out of this world! the chicken, which was okay but didn't quite live up to the price. Still, everything else made for a very enjoyable dinner overall. The service was friendly yet effortlessly French (somewhat chaotic) but attentive without hovering, which added to the relaxed, authentic vibe.

Right on the pier by the ferry building, this cute little french restaurant had a solid menu for lunch. We had to sit outside because we didn't make a reservation so make sure to try and one if you want to sit indoors. The portions are extremely small but maybe expected for a french restaurant lol we ended up ordering basically everything on the menu LOL Very tasty food, extremely nice service, cute interior. Loved it!

There was a Chase Preferred and Infatuation promo and Bon Delire was one of the restaurants so we took the opportunity to check it out. The specials that night were duck confit, poached cod, and pork. We got the duck confit and poached cod. I wish they offered to tell us about the specials because it was just listed on a board that we couldn't read very well from where we were seated. I did like that the waitress recommended that we get bread with our escargot. We enjoyed soaking up with the garlic butter. The food was good overall. This was the crispiest duck I've ever had. I'm not the biggest fan of beans and it was slightly too salty for my taste so not my favorite dish but overall good. The poached cod was nice because it was a lighter dish. It came w a green sauce that I think was a pea puree and mashed potatoes. The atmosphere was nice and intimate. The decor made it seem like a french bistro, which is nice for a celebratory dinner. The bar is the center focus of the room so getting a bar seat is just as nice as a regular table.

The inside of the restaurant is charming, with plentiful bar seating to watch as dishes are prepared in front of you in an open kitchen. The menu itself is constantly evolving and may be different with every visit. That being said, the main menu is a prix fixe 4-course meal with the option to add on 2-3 additional dishes to share. The meal starts with a amuse-bouche, generally a cold soup. For us it was a chilled golden beet soup, which tasted a bit like a nice, creamy sweet corn. One of the add-ons was the pâté de campagne, a blend of pork and fatty liver. Paired with a dijon mustard and fresh sourdough bread, it was surprisingly elevated for such a simple dish. Next were a pair of fish dishes that were the highlights of the meal, including sierra mackerel with fennel and peach, and monkfish and smoked butter. The monkfish was a particular standout as it was coated with a dill sauce, and complimented with the sweetness of diced rhubarb and earthiness of hazelnuts. The monkfish featured a smoky and lightly spiced flavor. The dish was extremely well-balanced and paired sweet, savory, sour, spicy, and smoky to a tee. Really excellent. The octopus and yukon potato was an add-on - the octopus was extremely tender, not rubbery at all, and the potatoes were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and soft like a mashed potato on the inside. The meal ended with a hanger steak which was solid, but compared to the other dishes, less extravagant. The dessert featured a rose sorbet, with milk foam and strawberries. As a whole, Mijoté dishes are simple, layered and extremely satisfying to eat. While presentationally may not blow you away, the taste will leave you feeling satisfied. The blend of French and Japanese culinary tradition and cuisine, Mijoté is comforting, elevated, and balanced. Very rare to find fine-dining that tastes so great while also feeling homey at the same time. If in SF, absolutely worth a visit.

From the moment you walk through the doors, the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between high-end luxury and genuine warmth. The Service The service here isn't just attentive; it's intuitive. A standout moment of the evening was the seamless coordination of the staff--they actually slid the table out for me to ensure I was seated comfortably, a rare touch of old-school class that you just don't see often enough anymore. Every need was anticipated before I even had to ask. The Menu & Wine The decor & ambiance is very romantic, low lights. Nice art on the walls. The flexibility of the menu is a major draw. Having the option of a 4 or 5-course meal allows you to tailor the experience to your appetite, and every dish was a literal work of art. To pair with the meal, their wine selection is world-class; the sommelier offered impeccable recommendations that elevated the entire evening. The Finishing Touches What truly sets Gary Danko apart, however, are the "extras." We ended the meal with a beautiful complimentary treat from the chef, which was a delightful surprise. To top it all off, we were sent home with their signature pineapple breakfast treat. Enjoying that the next morning was the perfect reminder of a flawless night. Verdict: An absolute must-visit for foodies and anyone celebrating a special occasion. Five stars doesn't feel like enough! Small gripe: only 1 rest room. Unika B. & Co. Mindset Maven

Since I was…read moreplanning a 50th birthday and really wanted the private room for our group of seven, I actually set an alarm for midnight to snag a Saturday night spot right when it dropped. For the private room, you have to choose between a 5:30pm or 8:45pm seating. Even though I've been hearing about this place for decades, this was surprisingly my first time actually eating here, and it did not disappoint. For parking, they don't offer valet so the easiest options are to take an Uber or park a block down at the Ghiradelli Square garage. We showed up 15 minutes early and were escorted to the private dining room in the back, up a few steps. As noted on the reservation site, there is no wheelchair access to the private dining room. The room had a great vibe. Much quieter than the main dining room and dimly lit but not so dark that you couldn't see anything. Even though the large oval table seats ten, it was perfect for our group of seven; we had plenty of space to stretch out. They kicked things off with a massive wine list and cocktail menu. I thought about bringing a bottle of wine but corkage was $100/bottle. Our party stuck to cocktails, and I started with the "Breakfast of Champions." It's a twist on an Old Fashioned made with cereal milk-washed Maker's Mark, which was interesting and actually pretty good, but for the second round, I just went back to a classic Old Fashioned, my go-to drink. Their menu is available as a 3-course ($130), 4-course ($165), or 5-course ($185). The menu lets you pick from appetizers, seafood, meat and game, a cheese selection, which they curate, and dessert. The cool thing about Gary Danko is that you don't have to follow a set order. You can customize the whole meal however you want. If you really wanted to, you could even just pick main courses! We all went with the 5-course meal. Why not? I chose 2 appetizers and 3 main entrees: 1) Crab salad - although it appeared "small", it was beautifully plated with a fresh spring salad, grapefruit and orange wedges, and 4 pieces of dungeness crab leg pieces on top of an avocado quinoa "cake". It was the perfect dish to start with. 2) The lobster and rock shrimp risotto was the star of the show! While I expected a small appetizer portion, the dish was surprisingly generous. It was packed with seafood and was the best risotto I've ever had! 3) Next up was the roast lobster, and it definitely did not disappoint! The plating of the tail and claw was stunning (see my picture), and the sauce was next-level. I actually had to use some bread to soak up the leftover sauce, yes, it was that good. 4) Keeping with the seafood theme, I went for the seared scallops with fregola, cumin carrots, and arugula pesto. The scallops were perfectly seared, and the whole dish was so flavorful that I had to grab another piece of bread just to get every last bit of the sauce. By now I was stuffed and had no idea how I was going to fit the 5th course coming up! 5) To be honest, by the time the beef filet with potato gratin and bone marrow béarnaise arrived, I was already so full I could barely enjoy it. The steak was incredibly tender and came conveniently pre-sliced into four pieces, which made it easier to pick at, even though I was stuffed. The timing of the meal was perfect, with about 25 minutes between courses so we never felt rushed. The service was also top-tier and the staff moved in sync to present everyone's plates at the same time, kept our water glasses full, and cleared everything quickly. Plus, they kept the table stocked with fresh bread between every course. I wish I went easy on the bread and butter. The several slices I ate definitely put me over the top! Since we were celebrating a 50th birthday, they brought out a slice of chocolate cake with a candle. It arrived right alongside the chocolate soufflé one of my friends had ordered as a course, so we all just dug in and shared. That soufflé was incredible. They also included two plates of petit fours to share. Because there wasn't a booking after us, they let us hang out as long as we liked, and we finally headed out around 9 PM. It was honestly one of the best dining experiences I've had. If you have a group of 6 or more, I highly recommend booking the private room, it makes the whole night feel so much more intimate.
