Came here to celebrate a birthday and we were able to reserve part of the outdoor back area, which was perfect for a group. Atmosphere Campus Bar is a super cute spot with outdoor seating. I can imagine it being great on a warm day in the city. Since we came at night, we ended up sitting around the fire pits, which made it cozy and fun. What I Tried Spicy margarita Espresso martini Lychee martini (sipped from a friend's) The Experience The drinks were pretty average overall, but not too pricey from what I remember. The service made up for it though, the staff came by often to check in and make sure we had drinks, which was really nice. Also loved that they let us bring our own food, which was fab for a birthday hangout. Final Thoughts This is a great spot for group celebrations since you can reserve tables and even bring in your own food. I'd come back again if someone suggested it, especially for another group outing.

Drinks only, but allow outside food. Inviting and friendly staff. Chill vibes. Claudia and Luis at the bar are wonderful! Yummy cocktails - - espesh the moscow mule! ((mega drinks that serve 6-8* avail too! how fun!))

When the weather is nice, Campus is a go-to spot for drinks on their outdoor patio. It's one of the bigger outdoor patios in the Marina, and is dog friendly which is always a plus. They also have like 5-6 beers on tap, with my go to being the 805. The drinks are stiff and fairly priced given the neighborhood. Casa Migos is their standard tequila for a tequila sodas, and I'm all for it. The bartenders all have been awesome and we've enjoyed our multiple visits here. The outdoor area has its own bar, but it's not open everyday, usually weekends though. Plenty of TVs and seating make it a good spot to watch a sports game in an outdoor setting. They don't serve food but they partner with Norcina, which you can order off the QR code and have it brought to you. The offerings are Italian food, pizza, and wings.

This place was a solid bar. The layout made it easy to chat with people. They had connect four and jenga which was super fun to play. I like that they had a fall themed cocktail menu to choose from. Bartenders were friendly and fun.

Cocktails here are splendid. The crowd of people who come in are not. Lol but I like the security guards because they keep everyone in check! There's an outdoor patio, indoor seating, and they got foot on their menu too I believe. This is a perfect pre-game hangout or a place for chill vibes. The fire pits outdoors are so clutch.

I'm so glad we stumbled upon Campus after brunch, because it just might be my perfect bar. Initially, my group of 5 grabbed a cozy high-top table inside, directly across from the bar. The (very friendly) bartender came over to take our orders and told us about the quirky decor (there are taxidermy deer (?) butts on the bar wall). I ordered an Aperol Spritz and my friends got Espresso Martinis and a Grapefruit Spritz. The drinks were ready very quickly and my Aperol Spritz came out perfect. The Espresso Martinis were unfortunately too creamy/foamy, but very cute looking, with little flowers on top. While we enjoyed our first round, we noticed that people kept going in and our through a back door, and that's how we discovered Campus's awesome back patio. This outdoor seating area is SO cute, with a huge mural of flowers and insects, plenty of different seating options, fire pits, TV screens, and turf on the ground. It's also incredibly dog-friendly, and there were even water bowls already out for them. The atmosphere was happy/laid-back, perfect for either a group gathering or a date. We stayed for one more round, but I would totally return!

What a great find! For as many times as I've been out in the Marina, I've somehow never stopped in Campus before. When we arrived at about 9 PM on a Saturday night, the inside was pretty packed and loud, which was to be expected. However, we lucked out and found a perfect table at one of the several fire pits in the outdoor area out back. I really loved the outdoor area, and it's what kept me here for about three enjoyable hours. The service outside was pretty sporadic, and unfortunately, you're not allowed to place orders yourself at the outdoor bar. But I found that the bar inside was surprisingly easy to order at despite the crowd, and the bartender inside was friendly and attentive, so service ended up not being much of an issue. I really enjoyed the Cucumber Gimlet and Campus Old Fashioned, and the Peach Hot Toddy my partner had was a great drink to sip on outside. I would love to see a bit more variety in cocktail options, but regardless - I will be back to Campus soon!

literally half ice lol (i had yet to take a sip)

Came here midday when it was nice and sunny out. The outdoor area was chill, the overall ambiance was cool. But my drink was literally half ice and I still can't believe the bartender wasn't embarrassed handing this to me.

Christmas cocktails! I had the boozy hot chocolate & it was delicious!

Is the outdoor seating for private parties only and is it open during the winter?

Hello Priscilla! The outdoor seating is available for both reservations and walk-ins when space is available. The patio is also open year-round, Thursday-Sunday.

It was kind of strange but I overlooked it. So we got a proper table and our menus and yet, even though there was only one other couple sitting in the back, it took forever for our server to help us. When he finally came back to take our order, we ended up giving him our entire order for drinks, apps and food cause we were starving (he didn't come to take our order until 30-40 min after we sat down). Then when the food came, it didn't come coursed out at all. The mains came before the shared appetizers. The oysters came out midway through our meal. It was all just kind of a mess. I ordered a burger medium and it was mostly pink through the entire burger and had little to no salt in it - there was no flavor! The fries I asked for crispy and they were just not soggy but hardly crisped. All around, the food was lackluster and the service was disappointing.

If you're looking for a place that feels clean and healthy without sacrificing taste, this is one of my favorites. I find myself craving it, especially for dinner. One thing that can be a little confusing is the hours. They often leave the door open, and because there's so much foot traffic, it's hard to tell whether they're actually open. I've definitely been the person peeking in to ask. They serve lunch on certain days, but they seem to be primarily a dinner spot. The biggest downside is the service. Unfortunately, it's been consistently underwhelming across all three visits, even with different servers. I've found the staff to be pretty dismissive, which makes me think it's more of the standard experience than just a one off. Because of that, I don't really dine in anymore. Instead, I usually order takeout and enjoy it outside. The food is absolutely worth it, even if the service isn't. The person who states "This is most likely the best restaurant in the world" has to be beyond sheltered; It's not even the best restaurant in the _neighborhood_. The main thing you must understand: the food is "inspired" by Indian food, but it does _not_ taste like Indian food. I suspect its been intentionally watered down to be palatable to milquetoast palettes. We ordered three small plates and the butter chicken as the main. Chicken Tikka Taco. This was greasy to the touch, with chicken and cheese. The dominate flavor is the cheddar cheese. They were trying to be creative but the ultimate effect was similar to a frozen burrito with cheddar cheese and chile verde. If you eat this, close your eyes and imagine a microwaved, frozen burrito..you'll see what I mean. Tandoori Avocado. This features an avocado that's been warmed and covered in a chili sauce. There's a green hummus and a fried dosa crisp. While it sounds wild, once the flavors are mixed together on the plate...the overall effect is that of a green-goddess salad. It's not bad, but its not mind bending. Octopus Xec Xec. The octopous was was cooked nicely and there was a tomato based sauce. Unlike something you'd find in India, it is _not_ heavy on the spices, or tang, or nuttiness. It's just very _neutral_. Butter Chicken. This was the biggest disappointment. I've never had a butter chicken curry that tasted so close to tomato soup in my life. I've eaten tons of butter chicken in my life, hundreds of Indian restaurants. I cannot imagine this was not an intentional choice...It was extremely disappointing. Also, the choice to use chicken breast was poor. Inevitably you get overcooked, chewy chicken pieces. They must have chosen this because (like Disneyland) sometimes you water things down to make it more popular with less adventurous people. The customers next to us (not Indian) kept slathering it on their rice and saying "I can't believe I didn't use to like Indian food!" -- that told me all I needed to know. BTW the naan is insanely bad. They stretched it very thin and then crisped it to the point that it breaks like a cracker. In what world is naan not pillowy and soft? Personally, I was really disappointed with this experience -- the other reviews on yelp are absolute insanity IMO. I know there's a hype train right now -- but someday people will realize this place is not it.
